We met some friends for lunch the food and service where excellent. Lovely friendly atmosphere.

This is a great place to eat. The prices are so good for the amount of food you get, not only that the quality is amazing, I often return here for a meal during the week.

What a hidden gem, we had to book to get in, I think that every table was used. The menu is quite large, and very confusing, the food came quite quickly, and was very hot and fresh. I have never asked for a doggy bag before, but we all did, as the portions were huge. Excellent value for money, I've only ever sat outside before, it was a bit cramped between tables, the excellent staff were a joy,Nas nothing was too much trouble.

For years people have told me how great the food is here, so finally we made a trip. Was really disappointed. I had the sizzler which was an ok skewer of tikka and lamb kofte accompanied with peppers and onions that were raw and crunchy, not cooked and sizzling. Calamari starter was a bit undercooked with soft pale batter. The chunky chips were undercooked and a bit solid in the middle. It was average cheap pub style food. Shame as I wanted to love this place.

The food was delicious. Amazing value for money and a decent serving. So tasty and I would visit again because of this. What really lets this lovely little place down, is the state of the car park, pot hole city and that there is no disabled parking at all, although their website said there was.

10 of us booked for lunch due to a visit from grandma and grandad, I have to say the food and service was fantastic. Very generous food portions at excellent prices. We will definitely be returning! Thank you very much :)

Myself, wife and daughter often eat here, we have never left disappointed. The food is always cooked very well and very reasonably priced. On a sunny day sitting outside next to the putting green, beer in hand with a lovely big fish and chips, perfect.

Not only does my husband love playing golf here the clubhouse is open to all and the food is fantastic value, high quality, great portions and the staff are wonderful and accommodating, to save disappointment I would book as the food is very high in demand and obviously there are competitions and golf societies who will soon fill,, had a great lunch again today thank you all so much

Booked for dinner after a long break from not going ...bar staff very helpful & pleasant...had the Cheesy garlic bread with hubby for starters & we both had the Lasagne ...nobody told us on how big the portions were !! & it was absolutely delicious ...couldn't finish it all as I wanted a pud ...had a doggie bag with left over Lasagne..& then had Honeycomb cheese cake ...very nice .. All in all great food & good value ...you need to book as very popular .

Visited on Wednesday 14th June. To be greeted by… NO-ONE. We waited a while shouting hello a few times then a young lady came out and promptly said you’ll have to wait she’s busy! Eventually an extremely‘happy’ (not) and very stone faced, Ill mannered lady in her 40’s came out. Didn’t say a word! We ordered breakfasts and drinks for 4. The first words she spoke were ‘your drinks will have to wait as I’m emptying the dishwasher’… After about 10 mins she shouted ‘drinks are here come and get them’. This ladies manners and attitude were disgusting and business is obviously so good they don’t need our custom or anyone else’s if she continues serving like this!!! Ps. Regular customers and breakfast wasn’t its best, sausages like bricks (over cooked)

The lads always go here when wanting a full english breakfeast, as its (was) the best in Leicestershire, the last 3 times though they no longer use quality pork sausages, there now using horrible tasting herb flavoured sausages which have totally ruined the breakfeast, Its no doubt a price issue and trying to cut cost, also only get half a mushroom not a one full as before, wont be back until quality wins over cost

I really do like visiting WGC. And have been visiting for the last 13 years..The food is great. Nice portion sizes, and always served hot. We were there for Easter and had a lovely roast dinner. My only gripe is - I wish they would sort out the carpark. It is covered in pot holes. And makes walking from your car into the club quite treacherous. Not to mention the damage to your car. When walking from the course or your car. Your shoes/boots get covered in mud. Whilst the carpark area is leased, which I know is a pain. It couldn't do any more than enhance the entrance to the Golf Club, to have the carpark area finally sorted after all these years. Oh, and the actual golfing paths... let's see them gravelled or epoxy pebbled at some point, please. THANK YOU

We went without booking on a Saturday night. Luckily, they squeezed us in. Despite being busy, the service was good. The food was good and, being busy, the atmosphere was also good. Prices were fair, I'd happily go again

Fantastic place to have a drink or sample one of the many gorgeous homemade meals. Great choice of light bites,Classics (fish n chips, lasagne,pie,scampi etc),Burgers ,Pizza..All cooked to perfection .Friendly helpful staff,seating in and outdoors, a great place to bring family and friends. Highly Recommended, booking advised but not always necessary.

First class food in a very pleasant atmosphere

Eaten here many times and food has always been excellent. Unfortunately this time I ordered the steak and stilton pie which was super last time I had it, however the meat was gristly and some of it was so tough it was inedible, the gravy was so salty it was more than unpleasant. Very disappointed.

Went for a meal as a family of four, we know the wait is a little longer than other places, but don’t mind waiting at all as the food is lovely, However the staff are terrible all young we asked to see the dessert menu it got plonked on the table, the waitress walked of without telling us what they were as it says dessert of the week we waited again to see if she’d come back but was to busy talking to another member of staff behind the bar! So we decided to get the bill and go, got our order mixed up with another table it was terrible service we will not be back disappointed as I work in hospitality get some decent staff and stop employing kids that don’t care about customer service

Visited tonight for a family meal and the food was great. Unfortunately the service was well below what we have experienced before at this restaurant. The young girl that dealt with us had no interest in her job and a complete lack of manners, very rude. Won’t be visiting for some time due to this, disappointing night.

This was my first visit to this venue. I was one of a large party to have a festive meal together. This is always tricky but the staff got it absolutely right. Our pre ordered choices had been displayed where we sat which made it easier for the food to be served. The vegetables were lovely and crisp. I'm a fussy vegetarian but I found no fault. The staff were very accommodating with taking payment from the whole party showing splendid organisation. I would not hesitate to return or recommend.

Really happy place to go to for meals. We loved the fish & chips. The range of food on the menu " For a golf club" is really good value. Up to date I have never had a poor quality meal.

Nice Place, my son Golfs here with his grandad, I havnt personally played here but my son informs me it is a great golf course, I have been in the Clubhouse and that is always friendly and have a good selection of Drinks and food.

We were visiting friends nearby and had our evening meal here. The food was of a high standard and the some of the staff were friendly however the service was very slow.

Always a good, tasty cheap night out! I had sizzling Salmon with skinny chips, hubby had their fantastic burger with fat chips. Excellent!! Wish I took photos, because we've paid a lot more for meals that aren't a patch on these dishes, portions are big too.

Not been for a while to Whetstone Golf Club and was pleasantly surprised. Nice atmosphere, gets very busy so you will need to book. Had 2 fillet steaks and a sauce, the Stilton was very good, chips and a nice dressed salad, 4 drinks came to £42. Service was also nice and polite.
