Great service and good atmosphere but my god the food was no better than McDonald's. The beef, bird and hog burger was a tiny considering what was in it. The slice of tomato was as big as all 3 pieces of meat in the burger. The pulled pork was almost non existent and the chicken was nothing more than a dried up bit of deep friend chicken. Won't be returning. Very poor value for money

Food was left to go cold whilst we all stood outside due to a fire alarm, nothing offered in way of apology for inconvenience, won't be trying again.

I drop a star for small reasons, the service was fine, the food tasty and devoured, the ‘freaky shakes’ not that freaky, just fancy milkshakes, my teens liked them though. I’m always straight up unhappy if I’m sat near the food station cos staff are always there; usually their backs towards us and obviously conversing with each other; the comings and goings of staff, food and other diners along with the eyesore of stacked baby seats just extinguishes any decent atmosphere. Also I appreciate ambience and our candle wasn’t lit, had to chase it up twice. It’s small things but for the amount I have to pay for myself and my teens the small things matter.

Took the girlfriend out for valentines day and we had a lovely meal and some drinks. The service was very quick despite it being a busy day and I couldn't fault anything about the place. Highly recommend!

Great dinner, good food, friendly staff and great service

The service was poor, the server spilled drinks all over my clothes and I was told I could use the bathroom to clean up lol. Luckily my hotel wasn’t far nearby so I changed, came back and there was still water and glass where I was sitting so I moved to the other end of the table. They ended up getting my burger and my son’s burger wrong and the server just seemed annoyed. Upon leaving I expected some kind of compensation for ruining my clothes but they didn’t even comp the coke they spilled all over me. Very disappointed in my experience and told the other 60 members of our tour to not waste their time and money here.

Food was tasteless (halloumi and chicken tenders), my caesar salad was great value and taste, but croutons greasy, service lovely, staff friendly, they did remove the chicken tender meal. It was also cold, we'd just walked in off the dock, and never warmed up

Good place for burger. A bit expensive... but very good!

Love it here. I ordered the piggy smalls burger and chilli cheese fries and my gosh it was delicious proper naughty burger and amazing fries. Service was equally good and even met Lee the owner who I had a chin wag with for a bit. Lovely staff, owner and food was spot on. If you happen to be knocking about Albert docks deffo worth bobbing in for the scran here!

There are a number place to eat in this area, and we finally settled on this one, since they could accommodate the number of people we had in our party, including the wheelchair. Good food, with a decent amount of variety, and of course they had a wheelchair accessible bathroom too!

Loved the food, the staff was really nice and it was quite busy, if you have never been here before, I recommend you go!

Great atmosphere, good food, friendly staff, good kids menu, good drinks selection.

Never a good sign, when it takes nearly 15 mins to for someone to take our drink orders, another 10 for our food order. When our food finally arrived it was clear to me that my fries had been on the pass a while….. stone cold, my burger wasn’t much better, Very bland. The biggest and dearest on the menu £19.50 yet I still needed to order coleslaw and mushrooms as extra!! My partner had the burrito which she enjoyed however this time her fries didn’t turn up till I chased them up 5 mins into her meal. Overall very poor value for £60

Interior great. Service great. Food not so great. Considering the price, the food was of poor quality and was served luke warm.

We’ve been here a few times, and it’s always a guaranteed good meal if you’re out and about in Liverpool. Location is great, right on the dock, and you can sit inside or outside. Staff are attentive, the food is straightforward, good food - and there’s a good few options for vegans as well. I had the giant enchilada thing on our most recent visit, and it was delicious. Will keep returning to this place!

Came here with my sister for a girls evening out and wasn’t disappointed! Ordered a couple cocktails which were really nice and then had starters and mains. Starters came out quickly, the ribs are definitely recommended. For mains we both tried the fajitas, chicken and steak. Both were as good as each other. Had lots of flavour and was a good portion. Would definitely come back in the future :) All of the staff were very friendly and attentive.

I never complain but this was shockingly bad. The sticky shrimps weren't shrimps and nothing sticky about them, they were the battered party things you get from Iceland. Very misleading. Then I had sirloin steak which wasn't worth what it cost. So small. Plus I asked for medium cooked. It was totally done on one side and rare on the other. When you cut it you could see 2 different layers. Brown and red. To cap it all my sauce came just as I finished my steak. I wasn't the only one. We had all finished our meal before 2 of our friends had even got theirs. For 4 drinks and 2 meals was £102.50 and wasnt worth £10, weathspoons meals are nicer and more filling which says alot! Never again.

Excellent. Hot food, served in a timely way, which was very tasty and there was plenty of it. Staff friendly and the atmosphere was lively.

Food was cold and chicken had weird twang and greasy texture totally inedible. No offer of a slight discount on cold inedible food. Restaurant was very quiet and can see why. Once leaving I see another table left most of their food also! So not just our experience. Would never return nor recommend this place

Midweek Trip to Liverpool. Stayed in the Holiday in. Popped In for a quick bite after dropping the bags off pre game, when I say quick. It was very quick. Food was delicious and service was excellent. I’d expect the atmosphere to be better at the weekends as midweek games tends to be quieter around the docks.

The burger I had was really tasty & we did not have to wait long for our food & drinks even though it was really busy. Our waiter Keiron was brilliant nothing was toi much trouble

This restaurant was fantastic. The burgers were huge and I had the rib and couldn’t finish it. Cocktails were tasty. Sophie the waitress did a great job. Will definitely be back if we visit Liverpool again.

We were going to a concert and called in for some tea. I thought the menu was a bit limited but we were running a bit late so we both ordered the house burger, fries and a soft drink. It came in at almost £42 which I think is a bit pricey but it's not like we go every day, so we didn't mind. The decor was lovely and we thought the music was brilliant. Idles were playing at M&S arena and they were playing some of their music and other other bands of that genre. The staff were attentive and organised. I thought the fries were delicious but the burger was pretty lackluster.

Said on website opening at 12 noon when in fact didn't open till 13.00

Excellent location on the Albert docks river, very romantic for couples and a great atmosphere inside. We were served by Ciaran who was an amazing waiter, interacted with us joking about with us which made us feel very relaxed and enjo the night even more.

A bang tidy place and we all said our food was great. Nice staff and very clean. Good service too. Nice location pricey drinks though but I guess this is standard for this area

After two bust days in Liverpool i was tired, hungry and irritable as was looking for somewhere just to sit with my family and rest, we came out of the holiday inn, smelled the food and decided to try it - 3 adults, 2 suitcases... the staff were wonderful! they accommodated us straight away with somewhere to sit and a place for our bags - this was our first visit and i was very impressed. We tried the footlong dog and the house burger - the food was delicious! and thee was a lot of it, and the price was cheap. the whole experience was great and i would recommend to everyone and the view of the docks was lovely, this will be our go to for food every time we come to Liverpool.

Had a great experience at What's Cooking last Saturday! The fajitas were delicious, and Joe, our waiter, was so attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Thanks to Joe for making our meal memorable! Highly recommend!

Booked here for dinner, seems a very busy but trendy place. The decor is very nice and welcoming. The food was great with excellent service and a good range of dishes. My only complaint was the background music was very loud, so much so that it's hard to have a conversation with someone. I don't know if it's always like that but I found it a bit off putting.

I used to go to the one in Formby many years ago. I've never been to this one. Bit of a nostalgia trip. Really nice but no sweetcorn relish like years back ha. Very enjoyable though.

Amazing burgers, friendly staff &great location 💗

The superhero platter caught our eye at the door. We were greeted at the door by our waitress Millie who found nothing any trouble when we needed something. Another staff member Joe - was also on hand for everything we needed. We loved the superhero platter and our mains were massive!

Came for a quick bite to eat before going the arena to watch the boxing food was nice and service was good a bit pricey if you ask me but suppose that's the price you pay on the docks £19 for a double burger with bacon and fries

Great gluten free options. A seperate Gluten Free menu so really helpful as we are both GF. 8 choices of main and several desserts. Both had bbq chicken melt and too full for dessert even though they looked tempting.

We had pork ribs, the meat dropped off the bone delicious sauce and well seasoned fries. Quirky art work, and kept the brick of the dock warehouse, nice atmosphere. Surprised that they close the kitchen by 9pm though 🤔

Our 8th or 9th visit here and have never left disappointed. Staff very friendly and welcoming and very quick service. The burgers are always amazing and havent had a bad one yet. Always our burger stop off choice restaurant when staying over in Liverpool. Thank you and we hope to return soon.

First time coming to a restaurant on the docks with my partner it was cheap we thought it would be expensive with it being on the docks but it is affordable definitely coming back was a lovely meal to celebrate our 4 years anniversary, lovely and welcoming staff and beer garden and music was nice and relaxing too

Service was very poor, although I felt for the staff as they were the ones having to explain why there were delays. Maybe the bloke who strutted round looking important with his clipboard and earpiece could have been more proactive instead of letting the other staff have to explain. We waited almost an hour for our main course, then were served our starters again ! In fairness at that point we were offered a free bottle of wine. When the food turned up it was ok, not really worth the wait or the money, and I wouldn’t return as there are better choices nearby.

Keiran, the manager, was extremely helpful. Ordered us a taxi which took some time to arrive ..... He persevered and finally got us a ride... The rest of the staff were friendly and helpful. Good servings were extremely generous.

Rhis was an awful experience apart from the rable staff who served us, whom were very apologetic. We waited for an hour and twenty minutes with no food and when we did complain they said problems with kitchen staff. A lack of keeping customers informed very very poor will not be going back again

We went there several times to eat, great burgers, excellent taste... We would love to come back... on our next visit to Liverpool... we come from Rostock/ Germany...

I was there today with my son for dinner. The food was generally good, but I have a few comments. "The Super hero" dish is advertised as a dish for two people, and to be honest, I didn't eat it enough myself. The wings were supposed to be salty and spicy, but I didn't expect so much salt. The final nail in the coffin was the fact that the beer was warm 😭😭😭 The serving time was a plus. It took about 20 minutes, and I must point out that there were a lot of customers in the place.

Decided to go here whilst on holiday in liverpool , we were seated straight away and orders taken quickly . When the food came only my husbands and mine came had to wait another 10 minutes for my sons to come without any explanation from the staff. I had the fajitas and they the chicken and veg were overcooked on the skillet to the point of been burnt and my sons burger bun was hard. But the desserts were good. Staff were not over friendly acted like they just didn't want to be there. Oh and we were seated right on front of the kitchen and all you could hear was the chefs shouting swear words at each. Not what you want in a family restaurant.

Food was the worst we have tried through our stay. A 'hot dog' that was horrible : cheddar was tasteless, sausage as well and so soft I didn't even masticate, raw onions on top, all served with a milk bread instead of a real hot dog loaf. Chicken fillet not so bad but the sides were raw peppers, fries similar to McDonald's ones. Only good thing was music and cocktails. Would not recommend at all

Staff were very friendly and attentive. The cooks were working very hard . The food we had...chicken nuggets and burgers were extremely tasty and we went back for more the following night. Will visit again and highly recommend this for a tasty night's experience.

I had the scooby snack all 3 patties were juicy and amazing and the bacon was crisp, my partner had the fajitas and she said they were beautifully seasoned would 100% recommend

We came for lunch with no reservation. We were seated quickly and the drinks arrived fast. I had ordered the house burger & my husband ordered the chilli dog. Both our meals were great, probably one of the best burgers I've had for a while.

The staff is friendly and the place is nice, but the food is very bad. Tasteless burger, industrialized fries. And too expensive for what it offers. I don't recommend it.

Frozen Burger for 18 quid spent 60 quid on the worst thing I have ever seen served at a restaurant, sent Ribs back. Indian cook eating food in the kitchen looking right at me didn't wash his hands. I just wanted to pay and get the hell out of there. The place stinks and should be shut down, most of these reviews must be fake 😒

Just disappointing! Overpriced and tasteless. After good salting, the fries are at McDonald's level, the burger was absolutely tasteless, the buns come cold and fall apart. The beer tastes watery and even ketchup mayo doesn't taste good! Looks like a nice tourist trap to me...

The worst burger ever. Super cold. The service very good and fast, but my burger was cold, I asked please for change it, and they did it, but the next burger was so cold as well. Maybe they prepare the burgers in that way. Be careful people . I ate my burger cold because I was hungry and I pay it, and I am a nice person, but it’s very bad for the manager in the restaurant. If they doesn’t have a good control with his people, this kind of things will happen again

Poor service, was left waiting 15 mins without anyone taking our order!! While we were waiting we noticed one of the kitchen staff take chips and eat them off a customer’s plate as it was waiting to be served!! Very disappointing.

We attended what’s cooking last Saturday for a meal with our 2.5 year old, we didn’t book and were placed on a table by the door (which was fine -although drafty every time someone came in). I ordered the burrito, we waited around 25 minutes for our food to come and I was served chicken fajitas. When I told the waitress I ordered a burrito she said “well if you want that it’ll be about a 15 minute wait now” no apology for their mess up. I just accepted the fajitas, which were very flavourless and the chicken wasn’t seasoned. My partner ordered the southern fried chicken and it was not southern fried, it was just crispy chicken, and was very dry. The children’s options were not great for our toddler and at £8.50 for a kids meal I’d expect to have an option to add a vegetable to her meal, we opted for chicken goujons which were the exact same as my partners “southern fried chicken” and it came with fries. Nobody came to offer more drinks, once our order was taken we didn’t see anybody until our food was delivered (rudely) and then had to chase our bill.

I aren’t one to complain, this is a first I eat out a lot due to work but the place is shocking. I had burger and wings, my colleague had the hot dog and wings and we walked telling them how unhappy we was.

Nachos was half decent. Burgers was terrible and cost £20 each. Rola cola is £4.90 a pint. There is plenty nicer elsewhere.

Wayyy to expensive for the quality and taste of food. The amount was not worth the money. And with those prices you should be able to have a waiter get your order from the table instead of me having to go inside and order.

Had food and drinks on a week night while on a work trip in Liverpool. Hence, it was fairly quiet but the atmosphere was still pretty good despite it being mostly empty. Lovely decor and presentation, a great venue. Service was excellent, food really tasty and drinks were okay - my only disappointment was the venue's own beer on tap, I wouldn't order it again. But overall, I would definitely come back here in the future!

Not great experience, was sat on a little table for 2 kind of squeezed in at the edge of lots of big tables to felt like in the middle of everyone. Was really loud and also the music was turned up far to loud so couldnt here what person infront of you was saying without shouting. Had bearly sat down and 2 differnt people come over to take our order but had not had chance to look yet. When ordering one of us asked for one of the wraps with a side of fries, to be looked at funny by the waiter for her to say we wont want chips because it comes with crisps already and its to much, we didnt want crisps we wanted chips so asked for as a side, because it made us feel embarrassed we just got a burger instead of what we wanted. The food come out way to quick so questionable how fresh it was. The burger was covered in sloppy microwaved bbq pulled pork and the the whole burger was smoothered in far to much cheap sugary bbq sauce. Was soggy and disgusting and the burger was sloppy and the chicken was rock hard. Couldn't wait to get out of there.

We get that it’s pre cooked rubbish but at least heat the burger and ribs up .

We came to this area looking for fish & chips, and when the 'famous' place decided to close at 7 on a Sunday (crazy to me), we ended up here. There were no regrets, as the fish & chips was fantastic. Crispy fish, not too oily and tasted fresh, great chips and a good selection of sauces. Also the ginger beer here is to die for. Overall 10/10, this place turned our disappointment into pure joy.

Very busy restaurant, we was just a walk in and managed to get seated outside. The house burger was really good and staff was friendly. Would not recommend the salt and pepper wings as they were a bit too dry for my liking. Overall a great place to visit.

The staff were helpful and you could tell quite stressed as it was so busy. However, there was a piece of gluey/plastic in one of our cocktails! The beef hotdog and veggie burger were essentially overpriced McDonald’s. Would absolutely not recommend on price and food.

Fell for the reviews being great on average but I was so wrong. Service wasn't good at all, the waitress was pretty much slamming the plates on the table and food felt like microwave food - we went for the burrito, the chicken inside it was completely bland and by the way, this isn't really a burrito, more of a chicken wrap. Very overpriced and not good food at all, didn't finish it.

Had an early dinner here with my bf and we really enjoyed the place. The hot dog pulled pork was so savoury! The portion sizes are odd as the hot dog is so big while the bacon hamburger was just about fine. Fudge cake was really nice, a bit too much syrup on the plate (that's my opinion in any case). Lovely service +++

Great service and food lovely. SF chicken fillets - crispy, good flavour and big portion, loaded piggy fries - again big portion, lovely cheese sause and pulled pork. Ate inside then finished drink on courtyard terrace. Would recommend.

Left the money on the table for the bill as we had a crying baby then was chased over the road by the manager saying we hadn’t paid i won’t be going here again.

We just turned up without a booking, luckily the team accommodated us,even though they were extremely busy. We both had the BBQ pork ribs which were the best! Full of meat and cooked to perfection 😋😋😋

Okay so food was okay. Left waiting for ages without service and asked about delay in the drinks whilst waiting our food but was just told our order was placed.. Waiting for plates to be cleared .. desert orders etc. 10% service added to table of 4 despite saying it may be added to table of 8!
