We had been shopping in the What store and noticed they had a cafe so gave it a go. It's easily reached from the ground floor by escalator or lift and is very spacious with lots of comfy seating. There is a fairly extensive menu with some unusual things on it like fish finger butty etc. We settled on the sausage, chips, peas and gravy and Vegetable Burger with chips and salad. Both meals were really nice, the gravy especially and my Vegetable burger was lovely tasting in a large fresh bun also with cheese and mushroom inside. We had a bottle of coke and a cup of tea and the whole lot came to £13 which was good value for what we had. The staff were friendly and chatty and our drinks were brought over to us within a couple of minutes and food the food after about 10 mins. Will certainly visit again.

Been there 3 times now , The first time was really nice , staff friendly , food hot , fresh bread etc ... The 2nd time was ok , food not as good and i think they had new staff [ very young not really chatty or smile come to that [ which i know is cheaper for the employer i get that ] ladies toilet smelt bad [ but i don't know if this is the cafe job or What staff to keep clean . The 3rd time food was ok , staff did not know much about what was in the food when asked or if we could have a extra rasher of bacon instead of sausage , cutlery dirty , toilets really bad . But i might have just been there on bad days ,, Will try once more if the same we will go elsewhere

Having seen at street level that their cafe offered an all day breakfast option we decided to eat there. Cafe is on upper level reached by escalator. The store itself appeared somewhat disorganised and confusing layout. The cafe counter lacked any displays even of cakes and sandwiches and when looking at menu none of these were on offer. The all day breakfast came in three sizes and we opted for the middle priced one described as large with coffee and toast. Prices were reasonable. Only one person serving who was busy making coffees for a previous order. Eventually served and order placed. She indicated that coffees and meal would be delivered to our table. We waited nearly 15 minutes before the two latte coffees were brought. After over 30 minutes wait we asked when where our meal was. Another few minutes later another member of staff enquired what we had ordered. The breakfasts arrived nearly 45 minutes after order placed. Quality was acceptable in relation to price paid. There were only 9 other tables occupied, several merely having coffee. So one wonders what the service would be if they were really busy. (We arrived at 1310; although till receipt showed time to be an hour later!) I have a background in customer service so for this experience: 7/10 for meal; 2/10 for customer service. (2 breakfasts @ £4.95 each plus traded up included coffee to Lattes for additional £1 each) Pity management having addressed issues raised by previous reviewers.

The area is big, modern, with lovely wooden tables and chairs of different shapes and sizes, and with some great framed pop art on the walls. Myself, my two sisters and my Mum thought we'd go there, after shopping, for coffee and maybe a snack to see what it was like. Although it looked really good, there were no other customers, no atmosphere, and lots of empty glass shelves on the counter. We were hoping for sandwiches to go with our coffees, but none available. Background music would have masked the silence and although our order was brought to the table for us, the girl taking the money was slow and not very welcoming. Something needs to be done to make people aware of the place and to encourage customers in. It could be a really great hub for shoppers to meet for a chat over coffee and lunch with friends. Such a waste of a lovely space!

Omg worst customer service ever...go here and wait 25 minutes for a cup of tea...not staff fault it looks like complete lack of management and coordination. Looks like it could be lovely if they could get it right.

Had the larger breakfast..... we were very hungry. Once again same hapenned as had previously hapenned a number of times...the meals were sitting on the serving hatch waiting for a server to bring them to table. We have previously gone and collected them from the hatch outselves. The result of the delay this time was that they were tepid at best. Eggs still jelly and hashbrowns were VERY brown and nothing on the plate was more than just warm. Coffee was very nice though....thankyou coffee counter.

Have reviewed their Sunday Roast probably two years ago and was a bit lacking.. however as a club member I had a 50% off deal so thought I would try again and have to say I was not disappointed.... Normal price was £17.95 but even at that price it was excellent value. Place is clean and tidy, it is pub atmosphere and setting and the food likewise so no good if you are looking for a Masterchef experience.... The roast was huge, I could not finished it, two well proportioned slices of beef and so,so much veg but so many varieties and a really good Yorkshire. Staff were attentive and welcoming and in fairness you could not fault it. Very laid back and relaxing visit. Thoroughly enjoyed and I should def make more of this facility, after all in the pool/gym 5 days a week anyway!
