Wetherspoon's in City of London, Westminster

I don't get back to the UK often, so when I'm here ai like to reacquaint myself with UK ales. Choice of places to get a beer in Stansted is limited, so I overcame my inner qualms & ordered 2 pints of Ghost Ship from Wetherspoons. It's a beer I used to know well. As is usually the case with Wetherspoons, the beer was past it's best, a wine-like vinegary sourness present - nit fully "off", but "on the turn". Exactly the reason that I'd been telling my partner I avoid Wetherspoons.

Desayunamos aquí. Inglés completo. ¡Los platos estaban fríos, el tocino estaba frío, los huevos estaban mal hechos! ¡El té estaba bueno pero lo hice yo mismo! Horrible.

Mi esposa y yo realmente disfrutamos de nuestro almuerzo aquí. Siempre disfrutamos de la envoltura de pollo frito del sur. Hafsa era tan encantadora y alegre a pesar de que le robaron su bicicleta eléctrica que usa para ir a trabajar. A pesar de la pérdida ella era encantadora con todos los que visitaron el lugar. Si la dirección valora su lealtad y compromiso, estoy seguro de que le ayudarán con el costo de una bicicleta nueva. Definitivamente vale la pena. Gente como esa que te sirve es polvo de oro. Lástima que los cubiertos necesitaban una buena limpieza aparte de que tuvimos una visita encantadora. Muchas gracias por el personal encantador

this was a horrid experience. i was told by multiple friends and family that i had to try this place! i am very dissatisfied and i will be reporting this to the local council! i was called names by drunk people, i was made fun of. i am furious 😡 fix the situation at once!!

We go into the Hoddesdon Weatherspoons on a weekly basis.for Coffee. When we went in there on Monday a lot of the tables had dirty crockery/empty coffee cups on most tables waiting to be cleared. We chose a table, however we had to move crockery onto another table to be able to use the table! Unfortunately some of the crockery fell onto the floor once it had been moved. A Server came up to the table, threw her hands in the air and said ‘I’ll clear this up shall I’ll, it was quite obvious this sarcastic comment was aimed at all of us, which apart from being very rude was quite uncalled for!! After all had the tables been cleared earlier this may not have happened.

Scrambled eggs were ok but toast was very burnt. The dish should not have been served. Bitter in taste. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. THE FOOD MADE MY PARTNER AND I ILL Probably the worst Spoons in the Country. It only got one star as I didn't have an option to rate it lower. The diabolical experience started almost immediately and I would have walked out if My partner and I didn't need to get food as we had an hour before a 4hr coach trip. We walked in and approached the bar which had 3 people at it. The bar staff served them and then proceeded to serve people who had come in after us as they happened to be in front of him. When we tried to attract the staffs attention and explain that we were first, we were met with looks of contempt and then apathy. Once the food was ordered it was bought out and was frankly disgusting. It made McDonald's look like a Michelin Restaurant. I ordered a double cheeseburger and chips and my partner a jacket potato. The burger was dry as was the Bun and as for the chips they were cold and rock hard (as if they had been precooked then Microwaved). The jacket potato had a nasty after taste, the salad was wilted and the garlic sauce was split. When I went to leave feedback, I was told it was because they were short staffed in the kitchen

I really like the rocket pub in Putney on the river . It has great views and a lovely atmosphere. The food is good and the service is excellent . It never disappoints. It’s great for drinks breakfast lunch or dinner and is very reasonably priced too .

Yesterday in a restaurant on Canary Wharf they brought me dirty glasses with lipstick and warm beer. Very dirty. You must be ashamed!

The food is good and the prices are reasonable. They have an extensive selection. It is a good value and also very good locations.

Whilst waiting for my train at Victoria Station in London I have just over an hour to kill… I wandered around the station searching for a watering hole and noticed J.D. Weatherspoon’s. situated on a mezzanine floor. There were an escalator and lift (Elevator) to the pub so access for all. I was served by some friendly staff with a nice pint of Guinness and found a seat to while my time away. There was a good mix of seating for those just wanting a drink and those wanting something to eat. There are some seats outside on the mezzanine which is an ideal location for some people watching and be in good sight of the train information boards. I would happily return whilst waiting for a train. Some of my reviews may seem unforgiving but I come from a time when everything was not “Awesome” and “near enough was not good enough”. So, if I say something is “Excellent” that is because it is somewhere better than most others… and well worth considering visiting. I hope this review was of help, please consider following my travels & reviews in the autumn of my life.

Lots of time before our train home so popped in here for coffee. Oddly, I was given an empty cup and directed toward a machine. Keeps it simple I suppost. Visited here before, its just handy when waiting for a train.

I visited to the Gate clock Greenwich. First went there when it opened and frequented for a few years. Now it's a tip,the staff have no concept of hospitality let alone the table plan for the delivery of meals. The tables are left with the detritus of previous customers until you inform the staff to clear. As far as your orders things are missing, I shouldn't have go to the bar to remind them of napkins, cutlery...sad so sad.

We’ve been using this Wetherspoon restaurant for a number of years as a stop off between destinations mostly for a coffees and light breakfasts, however we have been here for a meal in the past with no problems. Today we thought we’d visit for lunch since the refurbishment, the three meals were absolutely terrible. The chips were cold and undercooked along with the burger and it was not what we were expecting after the change and more inviting surroundings. This is the second Wetherspoon in London that has recently had a facelift that we’ve visited but sadly the plates they served are not living up to the rest of the standards, you really have to try harder to entice us back to have a full family meal here.

Bit of a mix up with table numbers which lead to a wait however the lovely young lady with the facial piercings fixed all our issues and couldn't have been more helpful and polite.

Don't often visit Wetherspoons, however was pleasantly surprised with the breakfast menu as there is plenty of choice, and the breakfast was good, the place was clean and the tables cleared and wiped quite quickly.

Terrible service, all staff were rude and seemed like they didn’t want to be there or to help customers, we ordered traditional breakfast with 1 change of bread instead of toast. The plate came out without the bread or toast! They came to the table and said that they would take the toast back in replace of the bread however we didn’t even get given toast in the first place. The food was cold. Not one thing on the plate was warm. The only nice thing that came out of the meal was the drinks!!! Will not be returning!

This was a real treat for a friend from Abu Dhabi who said he doesn’t get to drink cider and watch trains from a pub back home. We even got to see the Pullman pull into platform 2 from the comfort of our window seats.

Good grub! Friendly service just what you want from a bar. Managers were welcoming. All in all great visit. Would recommend this spoons as they go the extra mile

Food is awful. Dirty tables you have to ask for a cleaning cloth or bring your own. Unfriendly staff. Cheap drinks the only positive Would not rush back.

Young guy so drunk at 7pm served and re-served despite obviously being out of his head. Dancing around and shouting, oblivious with his earbuds in and causing consternation/people leaving the nearby high-bar tables/stools in the meantime. Bar manager and staff obviously completely unaware of the ‘don’t serve a drunk person’ licensor’s rule.

The food is often cold. This is because the plates are cold to start with. If your going to serve ' hot' food it has got to be on hot plates .. I regularly get cold or semi warm food.

Probably the best Wetherspoon's we have ever visited, beautiful building, amazing service and ambience. Well done top quality oh and did I mention the toilets…..wow 🤓
