Visited just before it sadly closed. Bug mistake by Spoons in my opinion.

Used to be a nice local pub. Let's see what's coming next.

Amazing fast service. Everyone cleaning. Unlike last Sunday! Sad its closing as I prefer this to the other one!

Good pub shame it's closing Good prices for drinks and food and going be taking by hall and woodhouse so it will a lot more expensive

Back 2025, no Steak, mixed grill, fish and chips. From 5 to 1. Not the staff fault. From another place it is something being discused. Due to close in March. The place has been good.

Decent food at a fair price. Lovely jacket spud although mushroom was missing from my BBQ chicken. Staff were friendly and quick to clear and wipe down a table for us.

Nice place, great location. We had chicken wings, which were nicely cooked. Also had a hot chocolate. Nice staff.

Went in and the food was great the waiter was absolutely lovely my aunt ordered me plain vanilla ice cream and it was brought out with sauce on it when it was not what we ordered the waiter took it back and he was lovely about it then the manager came out her name was Charlie and she was incredibly rude and her attitude was terrible and she look like she was high on a substance

Good reasonable price for food and drink

First off the food was brilliant, when I eventually got it. There was a confusion with one of our orders which took a while to get resolved. But the main problem was a girl behind the bar with a big mouth who had thought me and my friend had walked away. But what she didn’t realise, I was standing behind a pillar. So she begins to slag off my friend for complaining about a Missing order. So I say she needs to be careful what she’s saying as I was standing right there and then proceeds to say I was being rude too anyways. I was trying to resolve the issue in the proper manner. Never once had mouthed a staff member! If you hadn’t screwed up the order in the first place then there wouldn’t have been an issue. We come into spoon a fair bit but that may change due to incompetent staff.

Please just clean some tables!!!!!! Staff running around everywhere dropping drinks off to tables and just walking past tables overflowing with old plates and glasses! Disgusting! Walked straight out. May be cheap for a beer but comes at a price. There is no excuse for this!

No steak or no gammon on the menu, small portion sizes.. seriously come on weatherspoons

We were served quickly, but it was very quiet. Scampi was good and they willingly exchanged peas for salad. Some of the food wasn't as warm as we would have liked.

Brilliantly located on Poole Quayside, just a short walk from the ferry terminal (less than 10 minutes). Open from 8am, it was an absolute godsend as everything at the terminal was still closed. Was able to get a very reasonably priced breakfast and chill out before returning to the ferry. Lovely nautical theme throughout and lots of seating. Outdoor seating available which is perfect for spring/summer when the weather improves. Service was prompt and friendly. Would definitely return if I go back to the Poole area. A must for anyone who arrives early at the terminal

This lovely place to come don't want this place to ever close its better than the one on Poole high street opposite Sainsbury's guess it's one of my favourite Witherspoon's save this Witherspoon's and close the other Witherspoon lord wimborne one

I highly recommend this pub to everyone. They have a good variety of tasty food and drinks and for affordable prices. When you come to this pub, you will not leave hungry or thirsty, as you will get well fed here.😁🙂👍 I always feel comfortable here, as the atmosphere is welcoming. I also very much like all the staff here, as they are very kind, friendly, approachable and patient, with positive attitude. I always enjoy coming here. This pub became my regular pub, because of everything I have stated above, therefore I will be back soon. I also want to state here that it is truly admiring how all the staff has been working very hard on Christmas Eve till later than midnight, and also for a few hours on Christmas day 2024. I genuinely believe the owner should let his staff have a day off at least on Christmas day for them to have a little rest on Christmas. This is my personal opinion.

Nice spot by the quay and quite spacious and cosy inside however the wait time for food was shocking. Told. 30 mins because they are busy so understandable (there was a Christmas quiz on) then told it could be up to an hour then 3rd follow up was told sorry it could be another 30 mins!!! Clearly understaffed or inexperienced kitchen/ staff.

A great wetherspoons with friendly staff and quick service, can't go wrong with this place.

A morning visit on the quay is always pleasant and this was no exception. Its a Wetherspoons with a great view and the usual fayre. It does what it say on the tin!!

For a Wetherspoons, this was great. Only came here for breakfast or at lunchtime. Lovely converted warehouse buildings, lots of space and views out onto Poole Quay. All good! Will be coming back

Pretty average for a Witherspoon pub. Only visited once, but there was quite a few customers so maybe we hit a bad day. Service was quite slow and the staff didn't seem interested. Burger lunch very average too.

Real ale was very disappointing here. 2 different Ales were both flat with no head whatsoever. Took second one back. The pub is dated and could do with a refurb. Especially in a location so near the millionaires playground Sandbanks!

What a dark and dingy hole this place is,quite depressing and if it couldn't get worse,the food was cold and tasted disgusting, avoid this dump.

Fine old building on the Quayside. Quiet at 09:00 Saturday.

Food was 2 bob need to re meue old hat 🧢

Could do with full scale renovation , depressing atmosphere , quite a lot of Spooners could do with renovations..🙄

Only went in for coffee and hot chocolate service was very slow

One of the less good ones I have visited. Staff friendly and the food certainly very good, but no atmosphere in my opinion!

Well, I'm quite surprised this spoons is up for sale. It's quite the ordinary looker on the outside, but beautiful bare wood (no not the standard dark brown of a 'normal' spoons) over two levels inside and right on the water front - has to be position A for the tourist season. A bar on your right as you enter leads you down one long room full of tables of all sorts - but with room to move. There is an upstairs too with tables around the wall and another bar (this was closed when I was there). As usual the staff were lovely, the pub was clean and the Guinness was excellent

Went out for a meal last night, the whole place needed cleaning, most tables had not been cleared. Ordered two fish & chips, was told only one left. Ordered for one and a curry. Ordered a lager, only had half. Fish was not tasting right, ate half, wasn't sure what it was, decided not to eat the rest. On the way home and throughout the night was throwing up, hot and cold temp and total discomfort during the night. The chef should not have sent out food like that, how long was that fish standing before it went out? Obviously food poisoning. I often eat at Weatherspoons, this was very disappointing and will definitely affect future decisions. The management and kitchen staff need to focus more on this establishment and what they want to achieve. Won't go there again. Unfortunately does not have a zero rating star.

Popped in at 08:00 for a coffee while waiting for my daughter to disembark from TS Royalist. Can't comment on food as I didn't have any, but service was quick and polite

A lot more expensive than the other local Spoons, which is to be expected given its location.

It's a spoons - went in when it was packed and still had fast, good service. Can't complain.

No food - no communication 974000551 When we arrived the pub was relatively empty. We proceeded to order our food on the app and payment was taken. An hour later, I noticed a girl going round tables asking if they had placed food orders so I went over to enquire. We were all told that they were unable to cope in the kitchen so were only doing wraps and panini’s. People on the table next to us arrived after us but ordered food from the bar and received it within 20 minutes so the issue seemed to be with app orders! If we did not want them they would refund our food bill but this could take 3-5 working days. Bearing in mind one of the meals we ordered included a drink, this was not to be included in the refund so where my bill was £27.43 I received a refund of £19.21. Personally I think the whole bill should have been refunded. That being said, the pub emptied in seconds.

Worst meals we have ever had We are never eating in a Weatherspoons again

The breakfast menu is offered until noon. I was there shortly before noon. I placed my bag on a table by the window & had to find a chair. The area was a bit smelly & tables sticky. I queued a while as only one server, I just got offer in time! I honestly think, there is no need for this depressing running of pubs, even if they are reasonably priced. Keeping the place clean should not be a problem, but it is. The food took a while, it wasn't hot & the eggs were snotty. I am not sure that made it good value, even at a fair price. I thought of telling them, but I just left. The whole experience didn't leave me feeling happy.

A great place for a light meal during the day.

Had a steak which was £17.70 not exactly cheap for microwave meal there was more fat than meat on the steak awful food will never go in there again for this dog food

A good place in Poole Harbor to have a drink and a snack.

Breakfast was excellent. The manager was looking after his customers even at that time of the morning

Need a half star system. First off, let's be honest it's a wetherspoons so my expectations are always soooooooooooooo low anyway, our local "spoons" is lovely, in fact comparing it to this hovel makes our local look like the Ritz. Dirty, sticky, smelly. We didn't eat, the mother in law needed to stop and wanted a coffee. From the outside looked okay, enter at your peril. 'nuf said.

Unfriendly staff ,food was rubbish. And the the pub was almost empty. Would not recommend this. My partner asked for American burger. But something that looked like it just come from McDonald's

Very busy right on the quay side

The tables were sticky and, though we understand that Wetherspoons is not up-market, the clientele that day was decidedly rowdy. We had been visiting the Poole Pottery studio about 100 yards along the quay so headed to Wethers for some lunch and to get out of the rain. The best thing I can say about it is that the meal for the 3 of us didn't break the bank as you would expect with Wetherspoons but it's far from being the nicest one I've ever been in. We ate and didn't linger.

The drinks were good and not very expensive. Is a nice place to visit on Friday evening.

Typical Weatherspoon, cheap and cheerful, no issues, served quickly, sticky table, walk in - no bookings. Location is lovely opposite the harbour. No parking.

Nice outside space. That's all I can say really. I had a pizza that was passable. My husband had a burger which was inedible. Burnt , very thin and covered in mustard. My first comment was to ask if it was a child's portion. The waitress was very nice and pleasant. The meal was nothing like the picture and fell a long way short in comparison to other Weatherspoons that we have tried

The food was extremely poor, chips Luke warm, chicken burger, dont bother, chicken strips were more like nuggets, both had bits of lettuce chucked on, that's it and the buns cold. The place was filthy, floors and tables not cleaned at all. there's no excuses for a place to be allowed to get to that state, used to be really good, and to top it of, people vaping inside and the staff taking no notice. Will not ever be going back there again.

I was given incorrect order. The woman who took the order blamed us for ordering the wrong thing. I asked for boneless basket but was given chicken bites. i asked if she could exchange the sauce as the honey glaze was awful. She said i would have to pay for BBQ sauce. I had boneless basket at Mary Shelly 2 week's ago, it was excellent. much nicer staff too.

We had breakfast today morning Everything was ok till they messed up with one orders, we ordered 3 set of breakfast and American style pancake which comes with fruits which we were planing to have for dessert But instead of dessert pancake we got American style breakfast Young lady (manager) could sort the problem out Arguing and being rude to costumer No refund, no replacement of order And how they can blame the costumer and ruin their reputation !

Food very disappointing 😞 ordered an American burger and fries..it was nothing like the picture..more like a kids burger..no relish or dressing..the burger was burnt..handful of chips only.

Very disappointed in the food. Went last Thursday had what was supposed to be an American burger but it was more like the size of a McDonald's happy meal..no salad no relish..burnt burger..only a handful of chips.

It's a JDs does what it says great price for cider and food

Very very busy on a Sunny Sunday. Took a while to get served. Drink price is exceptionally cheap compared to most pubs. Pint of beer in most Surrey pubs is around £6 here you can get one for around £2. Wine by the glass is at least half the price I am used to being charged. Didn't eat here so can't comment on the food.

We ate outside as warm day . Nice friendly staff an tasty food an selection of drinks . Disabled an babies changing toilet downstairs. Ours up stairs. Plus other side of restaurant across the road on quay so you're near the harbour!! No hurry to go which is nice. Dogs welcome as kid friendly. We always go back.!!

It was very busy on our visit and as usual with Wetherspoons it was under staffed. The beer we had was fine. The staff were doing their very best, just not enough of them.

Drinks are reasonably priced but... Service is awful. Bike Night is every Tuesday during late Spring and Summer. They know this. At least 200 bikes descend on Poole Quay every Tuesday. They know this too. Tourists flock to the Quay. They know this... So why do 'Spoons only put on 2 or 3 bar staff and allow huge queues to grow!! The place is annoying! 😠😎

It's a Wetherspoons you can't go wrong

Great staff but getting served on a Saturday night takes a few years. Expect to have cobwebs and everything by the time you finally get served.

Good place for a works catch up

Wetherspoons The Quay is right on the Harbour sea front. Seating outside as well as in. Service at counter was good ,but was let down by items not on menu and both hot drinks machines playing up. Busy and staff need to keep on top of cleaning down inside and out . That said a great place to enjoy Poole delights and service was good.

Good ol spoons down the Quay. It is what you'd expect of a spoons. Cheap alcohol and food. Good atmosphere in here most of the time. Sometimes get the odd individual in there but what pub doesn't? Staff are always nice in here, never had an issue. Upstairs opens on busier days and usually in the afternoon.

Very good, weatherspoons is always good for a meal, but it was a shame our meals had been forgotten

Please for the love of god teach your team how to react to customers when they wish to be served, also might be an idea whilst you’re at it show them how to clean tables and clear glasses. Your Executive Training Manager should be ashamed of themselves for not implementing the correct training for these young people! They don’t stand a cat in hells chance if they can’t even clean some glasses when there was less than 50 in the pub , I had to have a white wine in a brandy glass because all the dirty glasses were on a trolley outside the pot wash room !!!!!!

Unfortunately, weatherspoons have gone right down the hill since covid. Prices almost doubled, and portions have halved. The food is overcooked in a microwave and very dry. My daughter is fussy eating and likes cheese on her chips. Paying £2 extra is a joke.
