Westview Chinese in Gateshead

Delivery was 20 mins late, food was lukewarm when we received it so had to reheat it. Called restaurant twice - first person I spoke to was so eager to put the phone down and was not helpful. Second person was nice enough to ring the driver and tell us he was on the way. Disappointed as I usually order from here.

Absolutely beautiful my favourite takeaway by far! I moved 15miles away and still use this takeaway , food is fabulous

wrong box delivered. I ordered a 30 quid box and got one with a burger in it. the burger bun was stale and rock hard. the box just had chips and spring rolls in instead of the specials box. a big let down tbh. can't be arsed to call so just are some bur won't order again.

Completely wrong order ordered a toon box 26 quid supposed to have salt and pepper chicken, salt n pepper prawns, salt nd pepper chicken wings etc this had a couple of spring rolls chilli chips burnt chicken balls, noodles some beef in sauce thing some sweet ns sour disaster, all covered in salt and nearly edible. tried on numerous occasions to contact restaurant, they jst don't answer the phone, I'm surprised you have a business with this shocking service

Not too bad. Not too good. Ordered meat samosas apparently supposed to be two of them in stead I got a bag of small veg samosas. They weren’t what I was expecting but weren’t too bad. Only 5 chicken balls too (bit of a robbery I think) and they were a bit on the burned side. Chips were just standard chips nothing to shout about tbh. So yeah. Not great. But not terrible. Might order again

Worst Chinese I’ve ever had. Unfortunately didn’t check the reviews before order but they don’t disappoint. This is the first time I’ve binned it and not had leftovers.

we used to order from this place but stopped after a bad experience. So we thought after a year to give it another go. So a couple of weeks ago it was good, but this time it sadly wasn't worth eating. The rice in particular wasn't cooked and clumped together. It was pretty shocking and it was freezing cold. Rice looked to be boiled with no seasoning and not fried. No flavour at all. Sadly won't be returning.

Food came and it was freezing cold,also we bought the deal when you get free prawn crackers and they never came with the food this is the third time now they have forgotten items, however they came back half hour later but we had already had the cold food by then.

Beef in the order was off, smelt horrid. The restaurant told me to get a refund, and hung up, not helpful at all. Then just eaf won’t refund because of a smell… the beef was absolutely putrid.

Don’t order the ‘vegan box’ unless you want to find chicken in it! Tried to contact the restaurant but got nowhere.

TWO HOURS!!! for delivery from time of order being accepted! Tried to call 7 times and got no answer. Food is completely cold. Abysmal service, no apology from the driver for being late or even apologising no behalf of the restaurant, being understanding that this is not the delivery drivers fault I still expressed my frustration and he shrugged and walked away.

Food came and wasn’t hot. Fried rice was hard and mostly looked like white rice. And I payed for a coke can and I received a Pepsi Max.

salt and chili chicken, not a lot there, looked old, sweet and sour chicken...not a lot there and again looked old, apart from that the other dishes were alright, nothing great here, won't be using this place again, I'm a chef of 25 years and I can tell when food is fresh or not.

Spent £26 for 1 meal & 2 cans of pop to be delivered, got the wrong pop the food is bland & the delivery driver didn't speak English, needless to say I won't be using Westview Chinese again.

I placed an order at 1923 I received a call from the delivery driver at 2035 stating he was outside my property, which he wasn't he was at the wrong address. I sent 2 texts to the driver giving my full address again also numerous phone calls to try and get him the the right address and 2111 on my last call he advised me he was still outside the wrong address that he went to in the first place. I rang the the shop and got told to wait for a call back, still waiting. absolutely ridiculous

absolutely delicious although I am quite upset that they’ve took the lemon chicken off the menu because it was my favourite and out of all of the Chinese places in my area is the most reasonably priced however I did still enjoy the chicken but if I were to improve it I would say add more onions in the chips in conclusion bring back the lemon chicken.

Food quality was poor, probably the worst chinese meal I've had in a long time. Delivery took far too long. The driver called me and asked me to come outside before he even pulled into my street. He had me standing at the door in the cold waiting for him just before midnight after waiting far too long for the delivery. Why not just knock when you get there like everyone else?

The chicken was slimy and rubbery the egg fried rice was plain rice with a tiny bit of egg mixed in nothing like what I’ve had before the only decent bit was the chocolate fudge cake first and last time I order from here

Chips are stale and have no flavour, same goes for the noodles. The fried wontons look anaemic and aren’t crispy in the slightest. Will not be ordering from here again

The overall quality of the food seemed poor. The flavours were bland and the mushrooms were slime.

Food didn’t even say it was prepared never mind at the door. Says in description that it’s fried rice we got boiled hard rice. Asked for 1 Pepsi and 1 bottle of water. Never received the water and got Pepsi max. Quality of the food was shocking. All cold and box was socking wet through. Chips were plain and very soggy. Soup was also cold. Very disappointed with this food and I am requesting a full refund. Looking forward to hearing back from you.

food was OK. Seems like the fill the meals out with onion. must of been a full onion in my chicken and prawn oyster sauce. The meat and sauce was nice though. Chips are expensive for what they are and weren't that great. All a bit cold but was edible.

I wasnt happy with my order i ordered king prawn fried rice won tons n fried rice chips curry same carton the the wan ton flat as paper with no filling at all my king prawn fried rice had 4 prawns 6 tiny bits of chicken no sauce nothing else in it
