Westminster Park Golf Course & Cafe in Cheshire West and Chester

The best Latte I've had in years made exactly as it should be. The large chain 'specialist coffee shops' could learn a lot from barista Dan. I'll definitely be back to try the Eggs Benedict which sounds lovely. 10 out 10

Westminster Park golf course is a mess. The greens and bunkers no longer exist. The course has been left to deteriorate beyond imagination. I have asked if anything is going to be done about the condition and I am waiting on an answer.

The whole area is sad and neglected. The " cafe" seems to be in a converted WW2 air-raid shelter. Staff were disinterested. The " golf course" was litter strewn, unkept with knee high weeds on the " greens" let alone the fairways. One to miss.

How the council can charge to play on an overgrown field with flags on slightly shorter grass is beyond me . The weeds on the greens which are not greens just they have a hole on them are about three inches high and many of them . £5 to play is a disservice to golfers, it should be closed and turned back to agriculture.

ANyone wanting to play a proper course should not visit here as this a community pay and play pitch and putt course. Four of us visited with my wife and my firneds wife not being golfers this course was ideal for them to play. It's obviously not in great condition but it's not terrible either and it's a fun way to pass a couple of hours. We did not visit the cafe.

A lovely park with loads of green space for lots of different activities. This park offers free parking, tennis and football courts and a golf course. There is a play area for children with age suitable apparatus to play on from toddlers to teens. A set of exercise machines are installed here along with a bmx bike track. A favourite place for dog walkers, with water bowls available outside the cafe. The cafe doubles as the golf clubhouse and frankly has seen better days although the service was friendly. At present only take away service is available but there are outside seats and tables for anyone who wants one.

Great park. Free parking. Good outside gymn and facilities. Good playground for children. Only spoilt by the usual irresponsible dog owners. And dog owners who think everyone is interested in their dog, keep it on lead or even better leave it at home.

Worth travelling to. Golf course, kids bmx track, general playground, running track, free to use bowling green, free parking. Very good park. I wish all parks still had so much to offer.

A1 as usual, best bacon butty in Chester!! Lovely thick griddled bacon stuffed into a bap, well worth a visit.

I stop in regularly as I take my dog out with me in my van whilst I work. It's an excellent spot for leisure as there's a tennis club, 9 hole golf course, exercise zone and play area for little ones and for the ones not so little in the way of a really good skate/bmx park. I love to pop in for a well earned bacon butty which comes on a good sized barn. They only use proper bacon which doesn't shrivel up and is very tasty. They also do a selection of cold sandwiches. Very friendly staff who also run the golf course, large carpark so always guaranteed a spot to park up too.
