At last some original pizzas. If you want a traditional pizza, go to a pizzeria. Fire and Stone is for pizza lovers who love travelling. Every pizza is inspired by a World known City and really is representing the local food and flavours. Well done! I had been looking for some originality and new taste in pizza for so long.

Despite booking, there was no record of us when we arrived. Staff appeared confused and sat us down without giving us the chance to explain we were using a 'buy a gift' offer (333 courses plus wine). Eventually flagged someone down..who referred us to someone else...who referred us to someone else! Eventually manager served us, seemed apologetic but wrongly told us we could have a bottle of wine and three courses from main menu. 2 mins later find out there was a different menu for us and original menus were whipped away. Choice was abysmal. Starter had no option but 'flatbread to share'. We were given half a flatbread between two people.Three tiny pots of long-life dips. Could not believe it! Pizza was terrible. Hardly any toppings and completely drowned in flour. you can get better anywhere in London. Salad was small, dull and not dressed. Choc brownies were OK, still tiny portions. Manager recognised how disappointed we were and excused our bill (had to pay an extra £1 for larger pizza although most was plain crust and wasn't eaten!) If it wasn't for the kind manager this would have been a shocking experience. Can't believe they offer such bad food and tiny portions as a gift menu! With consistently good places now in westfield (wahaca, busaba, real greek) I will be amazed if this place stays open. Will never return!

This place definitely has better pizza than most places in London. It is well above average. I had a Florence pizza (pepperoni, Italian ham, gorgeous plump black olives, sundried tomatoes and pesto all on a tomato sauce and mozzarella base pizza). It was deeee-lish. We also had a tastecard and the meal including drinks amounted to £11 per person. What. Service was excellent - the waitresses are extremely friendly, no miserable-faced slow service here. Definitely going back.

I went with some friends before seeing a movie and we used the Taste Card. Glad we did as the food was definitely over-priced for what it was. Pizza toppings are not very generous and the salads were dull. I had the king prawn and avocado salad and the small amount of avocado was rock hard. The prawns were small and the rest was lettuce and greens.Polenta chips were delicious!Service was fast and friendly.

Thankfully I got this meal for half price because of my Taste card, thus no money was wasted. The pizzas are cool and cleverly themed, but the toppings aren't very generous.Mostly bread. The fried calamari starter was greasy as hell. Almost sent it back. The rustic polenta chips were great though, much better than the Jamie Oliver ones.Service was decent, Friendly and fast.No better than Pizza Express really, just a wider choice of pizza. The cocktails weren't so great and would stick with beer next time. Great service!

This was a deeply disappointing experience. The food was reasonable however the portion size was dreadfully meagre. We ordered two adult mains - Bolognese and a Bacon and Leek Macaroni Cheese. The Bolognese tasted reasonable however it was sweet to the taste so lots of sugar and also it was so small! Ridiculously so. The bacon and leek macaroni cheese was served in a small dish where it resembled a starter and despite its taste was not satisfying at all. Two children's meals incorporating main, dessert and a drink were pitifully small. Childrens Bolognese was served in a sugar bowl sized vessel whilst the children's pizza was in fact half a pizza. The two chosen toppings; ham and olives consisted of four stamp sized pieces of ham and six olives. I describe the contents of our meal in such forensic detail as I have never witnessed such miserable portions in a restaurant. This restaurant is not a good family destination, it is not a good destination if you are hungry, it is not really a good restaurant. Why boast of the wonderful tastes your food provides if you feel unsatisfied and hungry afterwards. For a bit more I could have enjoyed something far much substantial in Jamie's Italian just across the way but unfortunately it was full...I wonder why!

We went on Westfield on the 26 of December after the shopping we stopped for a pizza. Well I believe the first thing you do if you run a pizzeria you switch on the oven but the oven was cold and we wait for 20 min ( we were informed ) we order the starter until the oven reached the temperature order the drinks ( really expensive ice ) and wait for the pizza I ate the pizza because I was hungry but the pizza was hard like a stone ( now I understand why the name the pizzeria the stone ) . Being in the business ( catering for a while ) I suggest to train the pizza chef and do not say you sell italian food because when you sell a food you sell the culture too and I'm afraid in this restaurnt the only culture is give me your money. I will say that the manager gave some discount.

Came here for lunch during a shopping trip with family. Waiter was very surly and forgot one drink off our order. The food was average - kids meals tiny, garlic bread was horrible (they put Parmesan on it so the saltiness overrides the garlic - and like cardboard). The worst thing was they bought the kids meals out first so they were finished in 5mins and we had to wait another 20mins for our mains!!! Despite us asking for our food altogether. So of course they were bored and we couldn't enjoy our food. When we asked for sundaes for them - it took 20mins for them to come!! It's just ice cream and sauce! The manageress at least recognised we weren't happy and took 20% off the bill. But sorry we won't come back.

Was visiting London with my girlfriend and after shopping in Westfield and having looked at a few resturtants menus decided to try fire and stone. Despite being seated quickly that was were the positive's ended. We ordered drinks and food after about 10 minutes, the drinks then took another 10 minutes to come. We then had to wait over an hour for 2 pizza's and a portion of chips. We could see the kitchen from our table with our chips sat on a cold side for 10 minutes, before the pizzas were done, hence once they got to us they were lukewarm. After waiting so long we couldn't be bothered to send them back. Pizza's were very average but we were that hungry by then we just put up with them. They did take a round of drinks off for the delay (which was one positive) however then still added a service charge (with service non-existant). Won't be going back.

We have visited Fire and Stone in Westfield London five times now. Every single time, we have enjoyed our experience right up until about halfway. The staff are good at seating, and take your order in a timely manner. The food arrives and is ALWAYS great. The problem is, once your food arrives, you're forgotten. We've visited five times and once our pizzas are down, there's not a waiter in sight. We've struggled to get drinks refills, had to wait ages for the bill, and even once had to get up and find our waiter in order to pay.Our most recent visit, we decided to give it one last shot as the food is so good. Dreadful. No drinks refills as we couldn't find out waitress, and had to wait ten minutes between asking for the bill and getting it. I asked to remove the 'optional' service charge and was told this was not allowed. I did not have cash and refused to pay it as I felt there was no attempt at service, and it took ten minutes of arguing with a manager to get the service charge removed.Excellent food, but Fire and Stone managers, if you're listening.SORT OUT YOUR STAFF!

This is the 3rd time I eat at Fire and Stone . I have loved the food every time and the service is always good. The food is delicious but somewhat over priced. Today we ordered 3 pizzas and a salad. The pizzas were about the size of a normal medium pizza but enough for 1 person. However, I was extremely disappointed with the salad. I ordered the chilli and avocado salad. It was tiny, it had 1 lettuce leaf, a couple of leaves of spinach and a small hand full of rocket, lots of chilli and 1 slice of avocado. Granted, the dressing was very good but there were 4 prawns and it came at £12.99. Shocking. I will never order a salad there again.

My girlfriend and I got the poorest service possible at Fire and Stone (Westfield London) on 25 August 2014. We arrived at approximately 4:20pm and sat at our table. 20 minutes had passed and no one had bothered to take our order and at that point we decided to get the attention of a waitress. I explained that my girlfriend and I had waited 20 minutes without anyone letting us know there was a delay. We would have understood if we were told immediately upon arrival that there would be a delay in being served but we were not and so we were left twiddling our thumbs for 20 minutes. The waitress then said "I know, we are busy. We are short staffed. What can I do?" - no apology whatsoever. I made my views clear nonetheless. Next our starter to share arrives before our drinks and when my drink did arrive the straw had a hole on the side! Furthermore, I couldn't help but feel that your staff were on the slightly patronising side when they kept asking us if things were okay. The truly awful service and attitude of the staff really was something to behold - it's like they took a master class in good customer service lessons from Basil Fawlty!I'm sure Fire and Stone will say it was exceptionally busy what with it being Notting Hill Carnival but this is not an excuse. F&S should have been better prepared, period. The carnival is not a surprise event. Anyway, terrible service and the food was mediocre as well. Fire & Stone - rubbish.

We booked a group of 20 at Fire & Stone for a school trip to London. We chose them because they had a student friendly menu, vegetarian options, could handle allergies well, and were affordable (in a city of very expensive food). We were not disappointed. They handled our large group easily. We were sat right away and everyone had food within 20 minutes. The kids were happy with their food - though I didn't "love" my pizza as much as I wanted to. Since the sun was shining we sat outside in the smoking area on a corner table, the atmosphere was great since everyone on a sunny day is in good spirits. Our waiter was very friendly and laughed with us which was nice, we ordered a few starters some beer and cocktails. I myself ordered the thin crispy Copenhagen pizza which was very tasty and filling. Usually I am hesitant to go to a shopping centre restaurant since they are always so busy and therefore it affects the quality of the food prepared. Here I had no issue with the quality of the food. I will go again, but only with a taste card since the prices are still too much in my opinion - but then again what isn't in London these days?

For our starters we had the Calamari and Crispy mushrooms strips both were lovely and cooked well with generously sized portions (as shown in the added pictures). Both mains were pizzas the Canberra and Melbourne (minus rocket) which were both cooked well and of good size. However the pizzas had arrived before we had finished our starters and were put to the side (which some people may not like but it worked well for us). I dined here with a friend on Saturday evening after shopping at Westfield. We chose this restaurant purely because of the 2 pizzas for £12 offer. The combinations of toppings were unique but the pizzas were very thin (even though we did not opt for the thin and crispy option). The flatbread we shared as a starter was bland and hard. Service was terribly slow even though the restaurant wasn't busy. Staff were friendly but were mostly stood chatting to one another at the bar instead of paying attention to the needs of their customers. Soft drinks were horrendously overpriced (£3.25 for a glass of coca-cola) and were basically a glass full of ice with a tiny amount of coke. There was a 12.5% service charge automatically added to the bill and the waiter did not check whether we were happy to pay this - he just entered the total amount on the card machine.

The quality of the pizza was disappointing - the base was supposed to be thin and crispy, but it was thin, hard and dry. The toppings weren't flavoursome.Although I find Pizza Express repetitive and boring these days, they serve up an infinitely better pizza, as do the other usual suspects like Zizzi. The rest of the experience didn't add any value over the usual suspects either - paper napkins and melamine tables as per the norm. The service was amateur, clumsy and forgetful. Not a place I would revisit.

I went to this restaurant on Saturday afternoon with two other adult and three children. The staff were very friendly although it was difficult to hear what anybody was saying because it was so loud in the restaurant. I have a severe dairy allergy so I checked the menu to see what options there were which I could have. It appeared there was only one - spaghetti bolognaise - however, when the waitress went to check that it was dairy free, she discovered the pre-made sauce contains butter. It transpired that there was absolutely nothing on the menu I could eat. The waitress suggested a pizza with tomato sauce and no cheese and I added mushrooms and bacon to this to try to make it seem like a meal. The pizza was pretty dreadful: they had chopped up a single mushrooms and added some bacon but it was in no way a meal. When asked if everything was alright, I said no, that it was dreadful but I don't think the person asking could hear me.Also, on arrival, we ordered drinks, which came in about 5 minutes. We then waited for almost 40 minutes before getting any food at all.It was a thoroughly disappointing experience. The starters are nice however the pizzas we ordered were disappointing as they are very stingy with toppings. The staff are friendly and the price of the meal is OK with a Tastecard.

Went to this restaurant for the first time about a month ago (July 2013) and then again yesterday (August 2013). Both times I've been, we each ordered a pizza and each of those four pizzas were fantastic! They were the Marrakesh, the Peking, The Florence and the Texas. The service was brilliant, really friendly staff. Highly recommended!

Nice restaurant, shame about the food. Ordered a Thin and crispy Acapulco Pizza and Chicken Caesar salad to share. The Pizza was truly one of the worst I've ever eaten. The thin and crispy was thin and soggy. It also seemed like they had just thrown a whole onion on it with a bit of meat and then squirted some sour cream and guacamole on each corner . Very poor. The Chicken Caesar salad wasn't up to much either. Place a whole lettuce on a plate, put two slices of chicken on it, top with a flake of cheese and voila £9.65! The only saving grace I could find is that the service was very good and they also had an outside seating area for non smokers,Non a restaurant I would recommend.

Received a promotional email - Pizza and Prosecco for £9.95... So decided to book a mummy and daughter treat for after our shopping trip. I booked a table online, no fuss - easy peasy. The restaurant is light, spacious and clean - situated on the South terrace by the fountain. We were seated promptly, our table reserved. The waiter was helpful and informative - he served our drinks order within minutes. We ordered garlic and rosemary flatbread to share - this arrived deliciously hot, lashings of garlic and fresh rosemary... plenty for two or enough for a greedy person.I chose the Copenhagen pizza (blue cheese, butternut squash, rocket and pumpkins seeds) it was both different and delicious. My daughter had the Arizona (bbq chicken, bacon and red onion) - there were no complaints, just mmm mm mm! Room for only one dessert - cinnamon coated dough strips, once again these were polished off without a moan. I had a rather nice cup of Americano - good coffee is hard to come by.I was more than happy with our service... the staff were attentive and pleasant. 1 starter, 2 pizzas, 2 soft drinks, 2 glasses of Prosecco and 1 dessert plus service charge came to a few pence over £40.I will return - a great place to stop for a bite after a shopping trip.

Walked the full length of the Westfield restaurant row and for reasons which are even less clear now than they were at the time, walked back and went into this establishment. Contemporary steel and glass designer feel but oddly lacking in warmth - spiritually and actually. Two adults and two children. The better thought out restaurants offer two children's sized meals: one for the small and one for the medium. This outfit doesn't so my two 9-10 year olds were spectacularly unimpressed with a small plastic glass of drink and a tiny rectangular pizza (having cut the standard ball of dough in half the chef seems unable to make a round pizza?!). Fortunately we had seen one pass us by as we waited so we ordered 1 in adult size and 1 child sized. The sexy one amongst us had a decidedly odd looking chilli king prawn & avocado salad. I am one of those that thinks that the EU should be limited to single market issues, but sitting in F&S I began to wonder whether it should be encouraged to embrace more and perhaps even agree some specifications. These king prawns clearly took their thrones younger than Edward VI! There was hardly any taste of chilli or garlic or ginger as promised by the menu master and the whole sorry thing looked decidedly limp. I suspect that at Head Office they must have just employed a new menu designer whose insecurities have led him or her to feel they need to make a mark and this they have done by creating a whole new set of pizzas. And boy they are odd and oddly named from cities around the world; seemingly completely overlooking the Italian origins. Well that's not entirely true, Florence and Naples make it but along with Bangalore, Peking and Queensland for heavens sake. I suspect he or she threw all the available toppings in the air one day and then based these new pizzas around where they landed.I had the full size pizza. The chef deserves a gold medal; no, not for the quality but for his real skill in making an incredibly small amount of toppings attempt to cover the pizza base. They just about amount to 50% of the normal scatterings. In a vain attempt to get something where the ingredients complemented each other rather than fought head on, I foolishly, so it turned out, asked for some capers on mine. Needless to say they arrived after I had reminded them (and after my pizza had arrived) cold and in a small glass bowl. The puddings were less exotic and I suspect the new menu designer hasn't worked out how to throw and catch these ingredients to come up with something new. Or maybe he or she has as none of them were Italian unless of course you include Cotswold ice cream. I made my excuses and declined although the other three in the party dived in. They were small and the children's ice cream tiny.Small, did I mention small, everything is small or few in number or thin except of course the bill. This however was large - £70 for 2 + 2 lunches and we walked out hungry. On the plus side the chef, when I leaned over to see what he was doing, was chatty with what little English we could each understand and the waitress very pleasant and giggly although lacking in any real interest or memory.I really must try and work out who owns all these chains and see if there is a correlation and whether there is someone out there trying to do things properly somewhere. Just a dream I know.Once again, if you like this, you need to get out more and take a risk and find a real restaurant.

Fire & Stone is one of the few reasonably-priced eateries in Westfield. I've been there a couple of times for pizzas and/or just drinks. The concept is quite unique, and they used to be famous for their nice selection of pizzas inspired by the 7 continents. The menu has been recently changed, so you do not get the same variety; however the most popular types have been kept on, in order to represent all 4 corners of the world. The last time we went there, my husband and I ordered the Buffalo and the Queensland pizzas, obviously to share between the two of us. Even though the recipes were still interesting, the quality of the food was slightly above average. The flavour was there, but it felt like they were trying to save pennies by not topping their creations enough...Apart from that, the atmosphere was alright, the service was friendly and efficient enough, and their outside seating area is great for colder days, as they normally have heaters on. Although not "totally inspiring", I would recommend it for a quick bite in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

We loved F&S and have been for years with kids. They did an amazing spaghetti bolognese with a slow cooked sauce I have been trying to replicate at home. Their innovative pizzas were amazing. Then the menu changed & all the best was gone - awful pizza bases with Parmesan - a mistake - made it dry, fluffy & dare I say bitter - why?!!! Some lovely flavours lost. Your beef ragu was awful, nothing to touch the flavours of your spag bog or penne pasta of old. So you have lost a valuable customer. Bring back the old menu & stop putting Parmesan in the base - it doesn't go with Indian or Chinese toppings! Deeply disappointed.

The salads were a real fine dining experience, as well as their home made ice cream - all three scoops we had were exceptional (and honeycomb even beyond that). I am currently experiencing some temporary hearing difficulties and I tell you what - it does make you appreciate how difficult it must be to enjoy a meal out with friends if you can't hear. I was part of a large group seated on a long table and was sitting at the end - I couldn't hear anything from the other end of the table and struggled to hear the people opposite and next to me. 'Well that's because you can't hear properly' I hear you say (no pun intended). Well no - actually one of the problems with hearing loss is that it becomes more difficult to distinguish between different sounds, so if there is a lot of background noise it interferes with the conversation you are having a lot more than if you can hear 'normally'. The music in here was so loud I gave up trying. There's only so much shouting across tables and "Sorry? What was that?" or guessing at answers to unheard questions that one can do. So turn the music down please it's not a nightclub! All of that said - the pizza was very good. I recommend the Arizona and for dessert the chocolate brownie 10/10. Two of our group ordered a SECOND PIZZA to share because it was so good. There was some confusion over orders and the pizzas took a while to come out but the service was good and they compensated for the wait with free drinks. So do go but be prepared to shout!

Visited for a late lunch with my son (aged 19). It promises much and delivers little. Pizza is a simple thing to cook but not so simple to do well. I opted for the salad Nicoise, there being nothing in the pizza menu remotely tempting for me. Admittedly there are loads of toppings but sadly nothing with capers and/or anchovies. Additional toppings include pineapple - surely a pizza crime. The Nicoise was dull, ugly and tasteless. There was no dressing on it. The eggs had been boiled a week ago and the tuna slopped on top straight from the tin. My son had a New York pizza, which was largely overcooked bacon and looked as if it had been scraped up from the sidewalk outside a bar in NYC.Service was friendly, efficient and spot on for this kind of place. There was a stack of wood looking like it was for the wood fired pizza oven. A peak into the oven revealed flaming gas burners. A couple on the next table eat their pizza then got out some tuppaware and tucked into a pudding they had brought with them! Pizza places need to keep it simple and the food will sell itself. The coffee was very good, sadly the food wasn't.

I ate here during the February 2012 half-term with my family. We were seated promptly and I asked for a high chair for my 21 month old son. The Manager (at least I think he was a manager!) said they had 'run out'! We were offered a booth seat. It wasn't ideal, but as the children were hungry we thought we would try it. The restaurant was busy, but not packed. The starters came ridiculously fast, we couldn't believe it. We went for corriander and chilli breaded mushrooms with a mayo dip and a portion of garlic bread. They were all hot and tasty. I thought some of the pizzas on offer had strange combinations of toppings, but there was plenty of choice. As it was half term they were running a promotion of 'kids eat free'. My boys enjoyed their pizzas, but my little one was incredibly busy in the booth and my husband spent most of his lunch trying to stop him launching himself over the back of the seat! As it was, when we left we saw about 6 high chairs stacked up! The Manager could have come over and offered us one when it became free. Our pizzas were fine. Service that had been reasonable stopped all together after our mains arrived. After sitting for about 20 minutes (and trying to stop our son breaking his neck) we decided to get up and pay on the way out. The waitress said 'oh I'm glad you aren't running off without paying'! My husband replied that we had been waiting to ask someone for the bill, to which she replied 'but you haven't had any desserts'! Usual problem of too many customers and not enough members of staff. This is fine for lunch with the kids, but nothing more. Don't go when there are more than 6 other children in high chairs in the restaurant, or you will spend your whole meal up and down running after your child!

Nopw, remember that this is a chain pizza house in a very busy shopping center! We signalled to a passing staff member that we'd like to be seated, were shown a seat, and then sat for 10 or 15 minutes watching people either waiting to be served, or waiting to pay bills. We got up and left. As we left and got outside the door (where a member of staff was talking to people reading the menu outside and trying to tempt them into the place), a waitress asked 'is everything ok?'. We said that we had waited too long to be served and had to go. She didn't apologise, and just said that they were busy, but I'm guessing that this is because she had a manager who had not got enough staff in that day and then sent her to get us back in.Sorry, Fire and Stone, you fail. Can I also point out that EVERY other restaurant in the place was full, and with a line waiting to be seated. You had empty tables, and you couldn't keep up.

Good concept but woeful execution. I liked the menu, but when the pizza's arrived they tasted terrible. The glasses for our drinks were dirty, and when we asked the waitress to replace them she did so with no apology. I watched a manager "clean" the table next to us with a rancid rag, wiping scraps onto the floor rather than collect them up. Karma hit when she then slipped on a piece of bread on the ground next to her, but then proceeded to rudely blame a waitress. There was visible dirt and fluff all over the top of the oil bottle, the chairs were sticky. The waitress dropped a bottle top into my pizza and then very kindly lent over and plucked it out for me. On the bright side there weren't many people there so out food came incredibly quickly. Needless to say we didn't pay the suggested 12.5% tip that they add to the bill for you regardless of party size (we were 2). Avoid unless you are out of all options.
