This is more to do with pizza express’s lack of communication and, generally, their lack of respect. A request was made online for a pizza party and long story short apparently the White City branch doesn’t do it and instead of responding to the request that was made earlier in the week, I had to phone everyday and had no response, and today someone who is clearly brainless answered the phone but does possess the mental capacity to be rude and condescending by saying “well no one got back to you as this branch doesn’t do pizza parties……”. This is quite upsetting as this was for a child hence it would’ve been good to have been contacted somehow To reiterate the person on the phone was very rude and condescending and didn’t see anything wrong with my not having been communicated to regarding that branch not doing pizza parties. The moral of the story is: when pizza express say yes to something, it seems to mean no. When they say their pizza dough is freshly made on site, it’s actually frozen pizzas they’re serving it seems

Was nice, I ordered dough balls, I didn’t get the dough balls. I was more taken back that the staff serving my drink thought a quarter of a mint leaf was good presentation. See image below lool it looks like an accident..

Terribly disappointed, the customer service is poor, the waiter is unpleasant, no smile, we ask for takeaway, he puts a box on the table, refuses to give us the drink. It seems like he doesn't want to work at all. This will be the first and last time they see me in their stores

We were in many pizza express in London, but the one in white city shopping center definitely worth visiting. A lovely waitress Bea (hope i remembered correctly) was a fantastic cool lady with an excellent customer support. The food we took was calamari, pizza and pasta and cocktails and all of them were just very delicious. Huge thanks everyone but specially to Bea. As no matter how tasty the food is if you are welcomed nicely it doubles the satisfaction☺️

Pizza Express in Westfield Shepherd`s Bush is consistent with other branches. Tried to eat dinner here because of my pasta cravings and it did not disappoint. Not too posh and not too "fastfoody" vibe. This place is just right if you are looking for pasta selection inside Westfield mall. It has its own place which is located just one floor above the food court. + Staff are responsive and accommodating.

Went with two kids when it was pretty empty only two other tables were occupied and there were four members of staff out in the restaurant as soon as they saw we had kids in a pram with us. We were sat at the back next to the toilet, but I asked if we could be a couple of tables away from the toilet given there was plenty of space which was obliged without too much fuss. I asked for a highchair for our two year-old. Nobody came to give it so after waiting standing next to the table for 5 mins I went and got it myself in the end. The kids were hungry. The place was empty. We flagged that we were ready to order. Waited 15 minutes still no sign of anyone to order flagged again waited 10 minutes at which point we got up and left the restaurant. What a waste of time PizzaExpress is notoriously known for being great for kids just not this one. it’s run by a bunch of young kids who were more interested in their own banter and staring at their phone rather than doing any work. They only thing we saw them do since we arrived was start taking the order from a young couple who came in after us. Waiting a long time to order with young kids is painful and when it’s busy you understand but the place was >90% empty

Marcelo my babe 💗 he was so helpful and kind and encouraged us to get the app which meant we got 50% off our bill. He made our evening with his kind and diligent service. The food was also really yum for a pizza express :) xx

waited more than an hour to get seated, when we got inside we waited half an hour for someone to take our order and the lady who was served is had a horrible attitude when serving us and we asked questions and had to be answered by another worker. the food took another 40 mins to come after we waited all that time!!!!

i’ve been to this restaurant a couple of times and every time the waiters have been so unbelievably rude it makes you feel uncomfortable to eat there it’s great food however you don’t feel comfortable to eat there because of how rude the waiters are.

When we arrived in the resturant the workers were very rude and not welcoming. They made us wait at the door to be seated even though there was plenty of seats available. When we were seated the server just gave us the menu and did not explain anything in the menu. They also did not ask us if we’re allergic to anything, which is very concerning. After ordering our dish the food arrived very dry and the dough was very thin and the edges were burnt and the pizza was very hard, after trying it we did not like it, and told the server to change it. “He responded rudely what can I do”. He then went to the chef and started speaking about us in his own language. Afterwards we asked for the bill which took a long time to arrive, when we asked for the service charge to be removed he made us pay for it. When we asked for a refund he did not do it as he told us “you guys ate it” but the portion was very small for 3 people as we was sharing a large pizza which wasn’t enough for all of us too. a very bad experience I’ve ever had in a restaurant and I will not be coming back. I will also be talking about this experience on my social media platforms.

I’m not sure where to start with this place. Yesterday, we decided to have pizza from Pizza Express in Westfield, and honestly, it all went absolutely wrong. The food quality and how it was prepared were really poor. My husband had a Margherita pizza that was probably precooked; it was not well cooked inside. My Leggerissima Pollo was donut-shaped, and there was rocket in the middle, which was just not presentable. My children didn't touch the pasta we ordered—mac and cheese and bolognese, both of which also seemed precooked and just warmed up. The waiter was not enthusiastic at all and looked very frustrated. To top it all off, we left our westfield kiddo car outside, and I specifically mentioned it to the barman. Once we finished, we came out and found our car had been stolen. The barman called the manager, who only told us to report everything to security, leaving us to sort out the situation. I will never go to a Pizza Express again, especially not the one in Westfield. It's just a waste of money!

Tiny tiny portions, felt as being cheated for the price and hungry when we left. Caesar salad had a lot of vinegar in the sauce which made the salad too acidic, and especially surprising for a ceasar one. Odd service as well with staff providing pepper instead of salt and being slow. Can appreciate it's a busy period (was on 26 December), still not a good experience, we understood why it was the only place without queue! Would not recommend, clearly in need of some quality and management review.

Unbelievably rude welcome. We were made to wait in a corner by the waiter. As we waited we saw people coming in and out. Eventually I asked the manager why were we not being seated only to be told that they no longer taking customers as it was Sunday and the restaurant was closing. Atrocious service, clueless waiters and staff. Avoid if you can !

Today, I visited the Pizza Express and my experience was extremely disappointing. Order Issues: Initially, the staff forgot to take our full order, and we were left waiting for an hour. Incorrect Order: When part of the order finally arrived, the garlic bread was missing mozzarella, causing yet another delay. Missing Items: When the remaining items still hadn’t arrived, we decided to leave. The manager, who wore a head covering, didn’t apologize for the delay or even acknowledge the inconvenience caused. Billing Chaos: The billing process took 10-15 minutes. When I requested the manager to expedite the process due to our long wait, she rudely stated that they were short-staffed and we’d have to wait longer. She even falsely claimed that she had informed us earlier about the staffing issue and didn’t apologize once during the entire ordeal. This was my first visit to Pizza Express, and it will definitely be my last. I would not recommend this branch to anyone.

Hosted a Pizza-making party for my daughter's sixth birthday - with half a dozen other 6 year olds. The staff were welcoming and attentive with special mention going to long-time pizza chef Marcelo. The girls loved donning paper chef's hats to make their own pizzas and then playing games around the table while waiting for them to bake. Thanks for the memories!

Good morning, I happen to visit Westfield branch on Saturday the 16th of November 2024. Better say, I intended to. I was spoken to by manager in an extremely rude and arrogant manner, he called me "body" and asked me to wait at the front as if I'm 5 years old boy. Also, I was told "we are short of staff". His colleague did not do any better he called me "my friend" and told me that "we are not ready for a new customers for another hour". For both of you as follows: I'm not your body, I'm not your friend or mate. I'm highly educated with doctorate and OBE. And I'm a gold member and a customer since 1998. Your behavior and service is appalling and if you cannot take a pressure of job in hospitality, move on. I will never visit this branch ever nor will I ever recommend it to anyone. You represent a big successful chain but it seems like you do not really care. You put shame on all of your colleagues and the company. You two are disgraceful. Dr R W Pacak OBE

Yannis y el equipo, especialmente la señora que había trabajado en una pizza express durante mucho tiempo son un verdadero placer.

We went there for my son’s birthday and I asked one of their staff members if it was ok to eat his birthday cake there after we had finished with dinner. This was confirmed to be ok and they even prepared the cake with the candles lit. Suddenly another staff member came to us abruptly talking with such a stressful tone of voice that the cake has nuts in it and so cannot be eaten on their premises or he could lose his job. Obviously we don’t want to be there anymore and went to pay and leave however we wanted to use a discount code see had but they were not aware of the fact that the discount applies and we had to explain it to them until they understood and accepted. What kind of customer service is this …? It’s bad enough you messed up our birthday mood but didn’t even want to accept the discount code. If you spoil customer experience then really you should provide discount as a good gesture/conciliation. Pizzas are too salty and greasy not worth the price. The location itself is not comfortable.

It may be the time when the place was a quarter full, and everything was sleepy, but toilet-wise, it wasn't amazing. The waiter didn't come to check if everything was okay, we asked for tap water, they didn't bring it, and only when we asked again did they bring it. When we asked to pack the remaining food, they brought us a cardboard box from the restaurant, intended for deliveries and placed it on the table, that is, we had to put the salad in the box by ourselves, and then ask for a bag. The feeling of not wanting to make an effort. We are not spoiled but it felt like there was no effort at all. Other than that, the food is very tasty.

Went there with my 3 children. The food was horrible!!!! I ordered the chicken Cesar salad. You could get better salad going to Tescos! The guy who took our order was so miserable looking that it made me feeling I shouldn’t be there because I was somehow ruining his day. When I asked for my children’s dessert they brought us brownies that were cold and rock hard. On the menu it said it came with strawberries and icing sugar. The woman just cut a tiny brownie in half chucked it on the plate and that’s it. Paid £45 for the worst meal we ever had. Never again!

Bit of a disappointment. Can’t really comment on food. Booked a table for 1330. Running late so tried to call ahead to let them know. No one picked up. When we got there at 1340 there was a long queue to be seated and it was almost 1350 by the time we got to the front. It was clear from the staff reaction that the table had never been available for us so we left. Don’t think they were really coping and/or the booking system had failed. They apologised but there was no real explanation

Went there 5pm they were not taking any new tables. Went there 8:30 pm same day they were not taking any new tables. Refused service twice in a single day all while the restaurant was not even half full.

Really wanted cannelloni but they turned me away as they were “short staffed”, although around 80% of their searing was available. On a Monday at 2pm. I tried booking online which showed a table available at 3pm but the online booking didn’t work! I went back to ask if they could book it in person and they said no, only online (although it was broken). Should be better managed.

15 minute wait when their was clear tables the staff took their time and did not bother to do a check back on the food the waiter was rude and didn’t even ask to say if we had any allergy’s didn’t repeat the order back after taking it he told me to choose something else from the menu when I asked what I wanted, we pacifically asked for are drinks such as just water which we waited around 10 mins for the drinks but also when they gave us our drinks the waiter slammed it on the table and walked off and didn’t give us any glasses for it either but got out starter first instead I noticed the staff behind the kitchen wasn’t wearing gloves or head nets also mopping the floors whilst food was waiting out the waiter left the food sitting their for 5 mins and just looking at it before giving it too us which it was cold when we got it my food was unedible it was like green slop also when leaving the restaurant they didn’t even say anything either.

Ive mainly been eating at Zizzi for the past 10 years as I felt that the quality of the pizzas at Pizza Express had gone down. I saw the advert for the £1 second pizza and thought I’d give the restaurant a try. I was flabbergasted at the taste of the pizza - it really was fantastic and so much better than Zizzi has been of late. The service was also quick and friendly, very happy!

I had a wonderful experience at Pizza Express in White City, thanks to Sahil's excellent service. As a vegetarian, I was looking for recommendations, and Sahil was extremely helpful in suggesting the best vegetarian pizzas. The pizza was delicious, and his attention to detail really stood out. He also helped us make the most of some great offers, which made the meal even better! Overall, the service was friendly, attentive, and made our visit much more enjoyable. Highly recommend this place, especially with Sahil's assistance!

Apenas dijo lo que le gustaría, sin contacto visual, sin sonrisa nada. Traje comida encima y cuando todavía estaba comiendo tomó el plato terminado de mi hija que me parece bastante grosero. Entonces se cernía sobre mí mientras pagaba supongo que para ver si me daba propina. Que fue un rotundo no que no es mi norma. Una sonrisa y un comportamiento alegre harían mucho.

No Salad at a pizza express I like no paper in an exam hall, what’s even the point of coming to this place but thank god for our server Juliet who recommended a really nice 3 course meal for us to enjoy as a family, nobody else really helped us especially management working on Saturday but Juliet really made our day special.

It's terrible, the dough is very thin and burnt, the filling is only tomato sauce, there is almost no cheese. It's not tasty! About the service: we sat outside, my husband went to order a pizza, the employee said that in order for them to bring plates and serve, we need to sit inside (but there was a long line at the entrance, despite the fact that there were many free tables), but we can take it away and sit in the area outside where we were, we agreed to this option, ordered a pizza, which had to wait 20 minutes. So we sat in that area and waited, and when the pizza was ready, the employee told us that we cannot sit and eat in that area, because it is closed now 🤷‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️ And we had to go down to the footcourt area and look for a free table . So we wasted a lot of time just eating terrible pizza. I do not recommend this place.

HORRIBLE . First of all; the staff was kind of rude? We didn’t get served at first and had to wait at least 20 minutes to get the check after we finished eating. And the food? what the heck was that? The salad didn’t had half of the ingredients that were on the list, also it just was really nasty, and for £ 16 ? That was worse than the meal deal salads. The pizza was ok, not the best for that price. Atleast it was accurate to the list… If I could, I’d give it a zero stars. Last day in London ruined. Do better :)

I ordered through Uber eats a vegan pizza and received real cheese. It’s a shame because I ate in a restaurant recently and it was great but after this experience I’ll never come back

This store and staff are by far the worst I've encountered, went for meal , poor service from onset. Then charged twice no one was bothered and said wifi issues will get refunded in few days?? I did point out transaction went through but waiter ignored and did twice no receipts and manager didn't care either , went back after week to speak to them as still no return of funds , Manager Taylor blamed wifi said they have issue all time, again fobbed off with a email address and his name and said it will show in few days or if not come back or email we sort! Well no surprise nothing returned again! So emailed no reply or acknowledgement! Went back again asked for Taylor staff said he walking about Westfield? I said call him they went off some time later another man came and said what you want with Taylor I explained he said oh I know we can't help take this email and ask.them???!! I was utterly shocked at his behaviour as he laughed and wasn't bothered! I explained and again he then said what proof you have? I has shown everything to Taylor and on day it happened reported immediately? Where is the incident logs for this store? He was so nor bothered. And then said we don't have this problem? Then why did Taylor say it happened all the time ans they raised with headoffice? I was give the customer experience email, which was even more pathetic explained all to them and the same questions! Surely they would check the branch not AGAIN ask me. They are useless and have no care . I won't be returned. Your managers at Westfield are not trained in positive customer experience or how to deal with customers.

I have to say I worked there for a few years and never use the pizza express until last year I've been disappointed with pizza express overall but this one you actually get a decent pizza nice and hot and actually looks like they put toppings on not shredded bits of chili now it's my only priority to use this one because the standards are a lot better

Very tasty food. We had some new dough balls which were extremely tasty. My partner's pizza was very oily but mine was perfect. The chilli oil wasn't spicy tho... (UPDATE): I emailed them on the 9th July as they requested in the response to my complaint and they ignored that too. Seems to be a trend with this place. We were sat down, we waited 10 mins, politely tried to get the waiters attention, when I finally did he was annoyed and looked at me rudely then carried on for a while and didn't come back so we got up and left. I won't return. Happened 5th July at 12:45 pm in case management want to investigate this.

Originalmente reservamos Las Iguanas, pero tenían tan poco personal que no pudieron servirnos a tiempo para nuestra visita a Abba Voyage a pesar de tener 1 . 5 horas de sobra. Todo el centro es difícil de navegar, pero cuando llegué y le expliqué nuestra situación a Lewis en Pizza Express; era tan amable y amable y prometió servirnos a tiempo. Lewis era un fabuloso embajador de la marca, tan atento a todo, desde bebidas hasta pedidos de comida. Éramos 2 parejas, cada uno queriendo cosas diferentes. Él mantuvo un ojo en nuestras bebidas, nos ayudó con direcciones y sugirió comida. Lewis se estaba involucrando con los cuatro. Todos sinceramente sentimos que nunca nos habían servido mejor, de ahí la revisión 5 *. Incluso estaba muy agradecido por la propina. Lo escuchamos en otras mesas y era igual con todos. Fabulosa visita y la comida era genial también. Pizza Express, este hombre realmente debería ser gerente si aún no lo es. ¡De todos modos, definitivamente debería recibir una bonificación!

Horrible service (great food) but we constantly had to ask for the bill and when we eventually got it, the man did not put the right amounts on the card (we were paying separately) and accused us of not paying enough, even though he was the one that made the error and would not own up to it. We also had to wait over 30 minutes for a pizza and when we tried to get the staff’s attention we would get ignored
