The best tradional old school fish and chips in bradford at the BEST price. Still wrap in paper as opposed to cardboard so the taste of the fish transfers onto chips. Lovely staff, always smiling and chatty, consistent food always. Just love it!

Food is great. But the portion sizes leave me wondering where the rest of my order is. Another experience like this and i will be heading to mother hubbards instead.

Not enough credit is given to the fryer’s. Both gents consistently create quality fish and chips always consistent. By far the best fish & chips in Bradford, friendly and polite staff. However they need to stop using cheap curry sauce and mushy peas.

For real authentic fish and chips at a nice price. This is the place. The taste and portion size is always the same. Never changes. You get exactly the right amount and it's always finished right to the last chip. Nothing wasted unlike other chippies where they give you bucket load of chips and the majority of that goes in the bin. Not here at West Park fisheries. Wether it's a fish butty. Fish and chips. A decent portion size. The curry sauce is to die for. A real chippy is this place. Their chips are spot on. Not too thick or overly done. Everything here is absolutely spot on. Can't fault this place at all. Consistency is key. Alot of places don't have that. One day it's fabulous. The next it's atrocious. But West Park fisheries maintains it's consistency day in and day out. My number one place for Fish and chips in the North.. definitely recommend to the people who haven't tried them. You will not be disappointed. And if you're looking for quantity and not quality. Then go elsewhere as there are plenty of places that cater for quantity.

Very small place had to waite in the rain outside. But the food was worth it .

I've been to plenty of fish and chip establishments in my years and passing through Bradford to our destination we decided to stop off as it was quite busy (don't mind waiting for decent food). We wasn't disappointed, wow absolutely beautiful fish and chips and curry sauce from another dimension!!! Diamond in the rough!!! We will be back 👍

A long term customer of Mother Hubbards, I felt the quality of the fish and chips going down hill a bit. This place reminds me of the good old days with the fish and chips being wrapped in paper etc. Won't be going back to Mother Hubbards for a while now!

Portion size stupidly small for the cost, when you ask for a fish butty you expect a full fish in a proper bun … what you get is half cut scrap of fish dumped in a butty … fiver plz - what a joke !!! Wont be going here again !!!! Think a 1 Star is too much !!!

For what I got, the price was abit high I think, Some of the chips were thicker than the fisj, Fish was nice but looked like a kids sized portion, chips were ok nothing special and were an ok amount.

Best fish and chips around by a long way. The ladies serving are always happy and like a bit of a chat which never goes amiss. Friday lunchtimes are a treat when we get them for work. 5 stars all the way! You can tell its good by the queues outside, so always a good idea to ring ahead with big orders

Thanks for the batter!! I thought I was getting a juicy scallop got a dried circle of batter with a very hard barley there potatoe 🤷‍♀️ huge let down.

Tried West park Fisheries for the first time and was not disappointed. The fish and chips was best I've had in Bradford. I asked to have mine prepared to eat immediately and I think that helped the overall taste as the food was not wrapped up and sat in a bag waiting till I got home. I always eat fish and chips straight away I think it loses its taste if its had to sit in a bag for whatever time it takes to get home. However back to the shop, the staff are friendly and attentive and the food is fantastic. Give it a try I'm sure you will enjoy.

This place was the absolute best hands down,but recently a new guy is over frying the fish and the new dark haired lady at the till panics at the site of 3-4 customers stood waiting even though its only a small place. The curry sauce i got last week was a disgrace! Big lump of curry sauce not stirred. They need to pick up the pace otherwise all the hard work oc the family will be lodt unfortunately.

Great service by the ladies, reminded me of my school days. Most importantly the food was fresh and very nice. Very busy for a small outlet. Pricing is very good too on point.

Bought a Special £4.30 which came with complimentary chips. Now you will probably be thinking a hand full of chips but you are sadly wrong. Only 3 chips, yes exactly, 3 . That's how much chips the lady put on that Special fish. What an absolute joke. Cheapskate. If you want more than 3 chips then you will need to pay £1.90 for a small portion which should probably if your lucky get you more than the three chips. Prices have gone up everywhere. The Special used to be £3.60 but now they are charging £4.30 and blaming the Russia/Ukraine conflict for the price hike. I also noticed the Special fish is alot smaller now in size to what it used to be before everything started going up. So they put the price up and give you 3 complimentary chips to keep you happy. No thankyou Miss Chip lady. I have never felt so insulted.

Simply the finest fish and chips around, reason why there's people stood out in the cold for the creme de la creme of fish and chips. Too many deluded reviewers on here on about waiting and it being too small need to grow up. Perfect portion sizes for what you pay and if you want more why not pay for it? Saying that you'll see me quede up every Friday for my weekly intake of brilliant take on a British classic! (Staff are amazing too)

After all the hype, I decided to try West Park instead of Mother Hubbard's (Ingleby Rd)...and I must say, I was completely underwhelmed. Quite why this place sometimes has a queue all the way outside is baffling. Yes a portion of haddock & chips is cheaper (£4.80 vs £6.75) but much smaller and "heavier" (perhaps they fry in dripping?). The staff are friendly and the tiny restaurant is clean and tidy but I've definitely not been converted.

Friendly and courteous staff members are found at West Park Fisheries. I ordered from here a Fish Butty , curry sauce and a can of Rio Tropical. Very delicious fish butty with a powdered and buttered bap with also some chips thrown in there for good measure curry sauce piping hot and good to drizzle over or dip. Prices are very reasonable. You cannot park outside the front as on a busy main road and double yellows park around the corner and walk around. Quick service too.

This is the best chippy ever but I suppose I'm biased as it's the one we've always used so it's our favourite and regular for Friday tea. The only problem is some of the customers are so ignorant and rude and have no manners. They park illegally outside causing serious hazards in peak traffic times and ignore covid rules requiring a face mask and only 2 at a time in the shop. The staff in the shop do have a responsibility to enforce these rules but don't.

Dreadful Waited in the que for 15 minutes only for someone to push in the front...and get served no mask even though the signs outside clearly state a mask should be worn. Eventually got in to be told I will have to wait as she had a telephone order to do surely the people waiting outside in the cold are priority...obviously not. Lost my custom

Top premier league quality fish, best I've tasted. Batter is firm with a pleasing 'bite', a generous, measured coating which holds a great balance of beef fat, not too much or too little. A mellow maltiness, not too sweet. No seating available.
