We were in the park today and called in for take away coffees. The staff were friendly, the service was quick and the coffee was very hot and tasty.

Very busy today as an event in the park was on. A long wait until our meal arrived. During our wait the eye was drawn to the interior, it could do with a jolly good clean. The windows were dirty and the floor had dead wasps and muck present.Service could be improved, as staff shout out orders but have no clue as to where customers are sitting. Interior decor needs addressing in some areas too. The food wasn’t too bad either.

Yesterday left me utterly disgusted luckily I cut my daughter's sausages open they were raw completely pink inside baring in mind she is 2 and a half years old and ordered from the childrens menu, when I said I'd like my money back the chef said I'll cook you some more I said no thanks no one apologised only tried to argue with me unfortunately won't be coming back!!!! Oh and the chips were burnt crusty left overs.

Very friendly atmosphere, clean and well behaved dog friendly. Best breakfast and snacks we have had in 14 years. Excellent quality, very reasonably priced. Walk dog once, then eat, because we can’t resist the food, then have another walk to be a little healthy

Met up with some friends in the park. Plenty of benches to choose from to sit down on near the cafe. Purchased drinks and some ice creams from the shop. The staff were really friendly and polite. There were plenty of bins for rubbish and the park on the whole was very clean and well kept.

Excellent home cooked food. The service is excellent and so is the food. My partner had an all day breakfast and I had a huge homemade burger, with bacon and cheese. It had salad and the largest onion rings, I’ve ever seen. The extra course of real chips, was a bonus, but unnecessary, as the meal alone was large. But, they and everything else tasted divine. It was so good we went back yesterday for a traditional Sunday lunch! It was very good. We had a good thick slice of pork and beef, freshly cooked cabbage, carrots, mash potatoes. Already on the plate was a good home made yorkshire, stuffing, roast potatoes. In another dish was a lovely cauliflower cheese. Excellent meal and good value, with window views of the park. This cafe is a Community, non profit making one and well worth supporting. The staff are obviously dedicated and, if I were the council, or part of the community, I would want to help all I could. I wish our village was like that!

A beautiful park very well kept clear from rubbish, plenty of bins. Very well used. Beautiful gardens with flowers and trees and plenty of seats. Bowling green with a team, football pitches and a lovely children’s area with things for disabled children. A basket ball pitch which is well used. Fun run Saturday morning at 9 am then football matches. I walk around the edge with Charlie my dog twice takes about 50 mins, plenty of dogs for him to play with, safe to be off lead. Finish at the charity run cafe, training people back into work. A good menu, home baked cakes, ice cream..lovely coffees and tea. Open 10 till 4 every day, maybe a bit later weekends. Hoping it continues into the winter. A bit of patience needed when busy as they are learning and can be slow and forget things..we all have to learn! The shortcake cookies are to die for! Lots of lovely baking. A very well used cafe, dogs can go inside to the left near the window..plenty of seating outside. They sell plants and tomatoes from their garden centre next to the cafe a couple of days a week, again a learning kerb for people. A good free car park. We use the park at least 7 days a week. Possibly the cafe too much!!

We visited on Sunday afternoon for a late lunch after a visit to nearby RSPB Blacktoft Sands. I'd read good reviews on Tripadvisor so wanted to try it. I'm very glad we did! The food was really good quality, all freshly made and very affordable. Our little boy had an enormous cheese roll which he said was "astonishingly good"! My husband had a tuna mayo brown roll with chips, also really tasty - and they were proper chips! I had a roast beef baguette with gravy which was delicious. Afterwards we had two cappuccinos which were really hot (much appreciated) and good, plus fruit cake & choc chip cookie - all really nice. Our son had mint choc chip ice-cream which he loved. The staff were all really warm, welcoming & friendly. It's rare these days to have such a warm welcome anywhere & we really appreciated it - thank you 😀 We even had a peek at the polytunnel where they grow their veg & I bought cucumbers to take home. The cafe is set in beautiful West Park and is really worth a visit. Highly recommended - if you're local or in the area, go and support this fabulous community run cafe staffed by lovely volunteers.

Visited for an early lunch today with a friend who is from out of town. The cafe was clean and spacious. The service was friendly and quick. We ordered two paninis and a children’s meal with drinks. The Tuna melt panini was presented well and tasted lovely. The children’s meal is very generous. The green team had freshly picked some tomatoes from their poly tunnels and sold the punnets in the cafe for £1 - bargain. Will definitely visit again.

Enjoy a walk around the beautiful West Park and finish in the West Park Cafe. Having lived reasonably locally for a good few years it’s only recently that I’ve found great pleasure in accessing this wonderful little cafe in West Park. I I now visit regularly not only to support the charity who are running it but to enjoy the excellent friendly service, the coffee and tea, the home made food and the amazing choice of cakes. My next target is to treat myself to Sunday lunch there as I’ve been told it is excellent.

First visit today under the new management We pre-ordered our food so we could eat it and get back to work in lunch hour, food was ready for us on arrival and was excellently presented and tasted as good as it looked. The menus not massive but the selection is enough to cater for all tastes and if it all tastes as good as today's effort they wont need to add much more to it. Great that the cafe is ran by local volunteers too, nice to see a community project working so well.Keep up the good work, hopefully the cafe gets the support it deserves from the local community.

Arrived at 9 left at 10.30. Ordered poached egg on brown toast and got white. They had run out of mugs so got a tiny cup of coffee. They said they would take our order and then came back about 20 minutes later. On the plus side the food was nice although a little on the small side. We don’t think we will be returning. Not for a while anyhow.

We had been told to try this so on a wet Sunday afternoon we went for lunch. We had booked a table the previous day (advisable for Sundays) The cafe was clean with well spaced out tables easily accessable for disabled or wheelchairs, indeed it offered doors opened electronically for wheelchairs. We had beef anf Yorkshire pudding, the food was delivered quite quickly but was freshly cooked. Vegetables were served in tureens(peas, red cabbage & peas) with gravy in a boat. there were 3 different vegetables roast & mashed potatoes with roast parsnips. We were too full to have a sweet but they looked loverly (Treacle sponge with custard or cream/ice cream an example) A delightfull lunch in lovely surroundings , we will go again. They only serve roast dinner as main course Sundays though other options available during the week but serve sandwiches, all day breakfasts etc every day

Called in for a pot of tea and toasted teacake after a dog walk around the cafe. Have visited this cafe lots of times and have sampled their delicious cakes, scones and hot drinks. Their menu has lots to offer, cooked breakfasts, daily specials, Sunday dinners and a large selection of main meals and snacks. Definitely recommend a visit but call to reserve a table for Sunday lunch to avoid disappointment.

Have had Sunday lunch in the café and have also had a large breakfast. Sunday lunch nice, veg and potatoes served in tureens, boat of gravy each, everything hot. Have also sampled the large breakfast which was excellent £5.95 for 2 rashers of bacon, 2 sausages, 2 pieces of black pudding, beans, tomatoes, mushrooms, hash brown and a slice of buttered toast. The price includes a mug of tea or coffee. Everything red hot and freshly cooked. fantastic value. Best to book particularly if you have a dog with you as you are then only allowed to sit at the window tables or outside.

A lovely relaxed atmosphere in a beautifully kept park. The cafe staff are very friendly and helpful and the food is cooked to perfection. They bake all their own cakes, pastries, cookies and scones and offer a Sunday dinner every week but I would suggest phoning for a reservation.

West park on Goole is a lovely park for family of all ages. A play park suits most but plenty of open spaces makes it good for ball games and bikes. The cafe is a great little addition to the park with portion sizes that are very good. The home made chips are a must!

Stuck a pin in a ( google) map to find a breakfast one hour away from leaving holiday accommodation. What a find. Interesting decor showed off the home made cakes and savouries whilst we waited a few minutes for a table. Breakfast avocado with poached eggs on sourdough bread, sun dried tomatoes, chorizo and pea shoots was divine and substantial. Staff were friendly and obviously enjoyed serving and cooking as much as we enjoyed eating. Make a detour. Worth every mile and every penny.

We visited over Easter and loved all the little chocolate eggs hidden around the cafe - kept the kids entertained whilst they waited for their food! Lovely cafe with a great menu. We ordered a range of different food but loved the halloumi burger and cheeseburger especially. It’s great that dogs are allowed in this cafe but as we don’t own a dog, even better that there are two areas - one for dogs and one where dogs aren’t allowed. Service was quick and with a smile, reasonably priced too for restaurant quality food. The only improvement needed is the toilet area - could do with a update!

I don’t often go into bakery shops but we were visiting Driffield today and spotted that there was a small seating area inside at the front of the shop and a larger area further in. We were ready for coffee and a snack The shop is obviously very popular as I had to join the queue but it gave me the opportunity to look at what was on offer. Vastly superior quality to what is available in other chain bakery shops and very well priced. I don’t eat bread but the sandwiches were definitely calling to me!😹
