West End Fish Bar in Lincoln

Donner wrap and chips and battered sausage was a lot better then expected 🤝pretty sure I’ve ordered here before and liked it

Wife ordered on Uber and rang several times after ETA, phone was put down on 2 occasions and when eventually answered, they said that were just wrapping our food. I’m sorry to say that the food was absolutely disgusting. The batter was more than doughy and the chips appeared to be frozen. She ordered 2Cod and one appeared to be Haddock.

Siento que debo volver a revisar este lugar para decir que ha mejorado mucho desde noviembre. No creo que califique para "Muy bueno", pero el bateador era más crujiente y de aspecto más natural, y las fichas estaban bien cocidas. Sin duda volveremos de nuevo si mantiene el nivel.

Solía ​​ser bastante bueno aquí, pero la nueva administración no parece saber cómo usar una freidora. Las patatas fritas eran muy aceitosas y la pasta en mi pescado era como un panqueque mojado. Para colmo obtuvieron nuestro pedido equivocado.

Vi el cartel "Bajo nueva dirección", pero no me desanimé, ya que siempre ha sido un buen chippy, pero tal vez la falta de una cola debería haber enviado señales de advertencia. El pescado era bueno, pero la pasta estaba pasada, poco hecha y sospechosamente amarilla. Las fichas eran solo aceptables, carecían de color y sabor. No volveré hasta que arreglen las cosas.

Always fresh quality fish, nice chips, friendly staff and good value. Hygienic and well presented, decent choice of menu.

This is certainly not as faffy as one well known chippy on Burton road, and you do not get chips served with a slice of lemon, but what you do get is fresh fish and friendly staff every time. Average prices but above average food. Kebabs are also better than most kebab shops, and the chilli sauce is home made.

Always uded to go this way home from work as their food can always be trusted. Succulant (not dry) fish

The fish was very tasty and cooked fresh for us while we waited! The staff were also very friendly and chatted with us until the fish arrived!! 🐟 brilliant, we'll be returning to try some more😸

I visited the shop last night only because traffic was very heavy and it was easy to park the car outside. I ordered the regular chips and when I got home, was really disappointed with them. Half the chips were simply potato bits and if I had see them when they were wrapped up, I would simply have refused to accept them. Hasten to add, I will never be visiting this shop again!

Been going to this chippy for many years as I pass it. It has new owners now but it is still my favorite chippy in Lincoln and although it means going all the way through Lincoln to get to it I am happy to do this. Very friendly owner as well :)

i`m from oooop North ,was working local and tried this place a couple of times. Great craic wi the lads who work here but even better they do propper fish n chips ,i`d go every week if they were local. Well done all involved

Had the new hog roast today... everyone must try it. Its fantastic. You can vet a hog roll, hog and chips ( which i had) or a hog kebab. Great value for money and the staff are always happy and enjoy a joke. GO THERE NOW!!!!

Under the new ownership this shop has now become the best chip shop in the West End with reasonable prices and quality food. Offer excellent offers on special occasions which lead to question out the door. Staff are always up for a laugh and joke which makes the experience enjoyable and personal. Highly recommended!!!

Have the large fish its well worth it its always cooked fresh and very tasty. Staff are friendly and welcoming don't miss this place for superb fish and chips.

Stopped here a few times while passing through Lincoln lovely place, polite staff and great food. Prices are very competitive too.

Came in and had a short wait for food. Very friendly atmosphere and the young lad behind the counter was really nice, asking if I'd been in before and tried their chicken that they put in their kebabs (which is gorgeous). Made me try some of it before I bought it and also after chatting for a while whilst waiting gave me a bigger fish for the price I paid for to take back for my flatmate.First impressions are everything and as a student you have gained a customer for the next 3 years, along with the mates that I recommend this to!

Good friendly polite staff and a lovely steak n kidney pie chips and curry sauce thank you gents. The gents running the shop are always willing to chat and also have a bit of banter.

Deserves your custom if you like a good fish supper. When I get a good meal like these guys serve then it's good to share the good news.

We are frequent customers to this superb Fish & Chip Bar. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and the food is always 100% hot and tasty and the portions are very good too. There is not a better place to eat in our view in Lincoln. Extremely worth a visit. See it for yourselves.

Have been here so many times, I thought it deserved a review, staff are friendly, its obviously a small business and this is a good thing for a big city :) The fish and chips are also amazing, possibly the most simple review I've done but decided this place deserved to be on the trip advisor map :) price is cheap too! for one large fish and chips and one regular portion of fish and chips, it cost us just under £10...cheaper than a big chain chip shop in lincoln but the quality is just as good.

Steer well clear of here, 2 young lads with no real clue. I was waiting in line when someone came through the door and started placing an order that the lads started doing straight away, so why bother waiting in line if they let their favorite customers push in I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN I have seen several previous owners of this business and it has always been fair service, obviously now these two young lads just want to have favorite customers. There is another fish and chip shop 400 yards down the road, they now have my custom.
