I went to the West End Brewery today and can confirm it is closed! in spite of all the news, rumours and articles I had read, I decided to give this place a last chance and guess what I found? a closed pub! Well done to Josh, Russ and Tina (and John) on running the best pub for miles and wishing you all the best for whatever the future brings!

Popped in for a 1st drink on way into city with a group. Got comfy, enjoyed the range of ales; found bar man extremely friendly helpful and informative - ended up staying a lot longer than had intended - less pub crawl more pub fun.

Really relaxed venue with a great selection of ales, some brewed on site. Wish we could have stayed longer but had to leave for our train. Thank you Russell for making us feel so welcome.

Enjoyed my visit here. It's has a good vibe to the place and really welcoming to small and large groups. Beer was on the pricey side but i guess thats the way of the world. Would recommend a visit

Now approaching it's third anniversary, this is Leicester's first microbrewery. The beer is outstanding and there are always guest ales as well as brewery takeovers (where eight or so barrels from another brewery are brought in for the weekend) from time to time. It's very friendly and welcoming with a good mix of regulars and more casual drinkers, exactly what a pub/bar should be. There isn't a single even slightly negative thing to say about it.

We popped in here whilst waiting for a table to be ready at the nearby Indian. It used to be the old Looking Glass Pub. The emphasis is now on real ales. The staff member was very knowledgeable and was proud of the products on offer. They had no Guiness, but he was happy to give us a sample of the stout on offer, Titanic, i think. It wasn't to my friends liking and he was perfectly fine with this and came up with something that he would drink. All in all, a good pub, offering something a bit different in this area

I cannot make any comment on the food, as we had already eaten at the nearby Asian restaurant (Jamal's). However, the beer at the West End is exceptional. I can definitely recommend it. The pub is interestingly decorated, and has a variety of seating. The beer is brewed at the back!

We just love this place. The beer is always absolutely excellent and is very varied. Something for every single taste. It’s also very friendly little place away from the normal noisy bars in the area. A real little gem. If you like somewhere friendly with fantastically kept it real ales, this is the place for you

The owner of the place is very nice and friendly. The music was good but not so loud you cant talk or have to shout. The drinks available are amazing, its nice to be able to try so many different beers and all were so nice. Sounds silly but even the toilets are nice, clean this a nice smell. 5*

Ticks all the boxes - really good, well made, tasty beers on tap with a clear passion going into their design and brewing. Very friendly staff, simple but effective decor and surroundings, all in all a very positive experience and well worth the short walk out of Leicester city centre to get some fantastic real ale...!

The West End Brewery is an excellent addition to Braunstone Gate. The brewer has at least three house beers on tap and a rotating selection of guest beers. The WEB also occasionally has tap takeovers by other breweries. The clientele are a laid back politically intelligent sort. The brewer and staff are very welcoming and knowledgeable. And dogs are welcome with biscuits on the bar.

Fantastic set up. Super friendly staff to chat with and explain the beers. Not sure what you'd call the style but it's great. Kind of industrial but with wood not metal, which gives it warmth. The decor is mostly beer related paraphernalia. Anyhow it works

We are lucky to live round the corner from this pub. Great beer at very reasonable prices and friendly welcoming staff. It might not be the closest place to us but it's the favourite.

Good selection of beers and ciders. Nice atmosphere. The staff are friendly. Free wifi. The wine is acceptable. Not as much choice but then it us not a wine bar. Only recently discovered it. Recommend. Don't go to the Italian restaurant next door.

Have now been to this bar twice. The first time was the week it opened. This time, a Saturday afternoon, it was much livelier with a few regulars and a decent atmosphere. They brew some beers I house and always have at least 3 of their own beers on as well several other ales, some real ciders and a selection of bottles. Will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

A welcoming and easy-going traditional pub with its own brewery in the back. There are usually 3 house beers plus guests on tap, along with lots of chilled bottles. It's a great place for chatting to new people. Definitely a place for people who appreciate beer. No so good if you want to just get tanked up on Stella.

Josh and his Dad have taken over the old Looking Glass and established Leicester's first brew pub. This means they brew a rotation of ales in the premises and have 3 of their own beers on at any one time alongside 4/5 guest ales. In my experience these have all been excellent and sold at very reasonable prices.

Ordered the tiramisu via ubereats as really been wanting one for ages. Very disappointed purchase especially as I could only order either 1/2 or the whole cake. The tiramisu was nothing like you would expect it was more like a vanilla cake and very dry, with a layer of chocolate. Not the moist or anything like a tiramisu, very cake like at all. Waste of money and food. Avoid if you are after an actual tiramisu and not some very expensive vanilla cake with a layer of chocolate. Very disappointed wish I had ordered something completely different.

I was looking to have a custom cake made for my sons Spider Man theme birthday party. I had a very detailed design specification that Baker St Cakes followed and executed so well!! Not only did the cake look amazing but it also tasted amazing too!! Very impressed with design, quality and service!! Thank you so much for the beautiful cake, it was the finishing touch to our themed party.
