West 4th in Hammersmith and Fulham

I was expecting a warm Canadian restaurant with fabulous food, but left disappointed. The burger was actually quite nice, but the fries were inedible - way too soggy and were so overcooked that they looked like sweet potatoes. We’d also expect the burger to come with more generous sides (there was none) for £16 . The service was super slow even though we were about the only diners there. Maybe it’s the new year grogginess, but our servers didn’t convey much Canadian friendliness. As a Canadian, I really wanted to like the restaurant and hope this was just an off day.

A Canadian friend recommended me the place and I thought, he might be bias as he is Canadian BUT oh my!! Such an amazing and delicious meal, I'll definitely will be back! My mom and I had the beetroot hummus as a started, a must. Then veggie and meat burger with of course poutine! And please, make room for dessert.

We enjoyed a sensational brunch at West 4th with sumptuous food with an innovative twist, glorious healthy options and the most exhilarating atmosphere. Livy and Louisa are full of joy, enthusiasm and passion in creating a magnificent dining experience. The Betts chicken burger was delicious and totally different to any dish which I have encountered, with a spicy skin and a zesty coleslaw, whilst the pancakes were spectacular. I loved the apple, carrot, beetroot and ginger juice as well as the perfectly chilled Estrella and Bloody Mary. An all round great experience enhanced hugely by Jake, Simon and Ralph as our waiters and a visit from the master chefs, Sam and Toki. Enjoy this treasure.

We have been here twice - dinner and brunch - and has exceptional food and service both times. We asked for a few substitutions to accommodate picky eaters and they were fantastic about that with each order. We are local and will definitely come back regularly.

I was really pleased after visiting for breakfast! fluffy pancakes and a really nice flat white totally hit the spot!

Just had dinner here at West 4th, and shared some starters rather than ordering a starter & main. Every dish was delicious, then we finished with a Nanaimo bar- and being half Canadian I’m very picky about these! This one was absolutely delicious, by far the best dish of the evening. Love all the Vancouver touches, and the staff were so lovely, unfortunately I didn’t get our waiter’s name but he was brilliant. It was a weekday evening so was unfortunately very quiet, which is such a shame, but we will definitely come back next time we’re in London, maybe to try their brunch. Really hope this Canadian gem succeeds as it really was lovely.

The food and service were really good. Coffee’s were okay. A bit disappointed by the pancakes that came out really thin like they’d nearly finished the mix and were trying to make 3 pancakes when they only had enough for 1. Other orders nearby had thick and fluffy pancakes so they obviously made a new batch. Price wise I’d say it’s slightly above average for brunch compared with other places in the area.

My wife is Canadian and we met in Vancouver so have been looking forward to checking out West 4th. Food was very good and reminded us of being back in Canada, service was also good and nice environment. Went on a Tuesday night so very quiet, would like to come back on a weekend with some more atmosphere. Would go back.

We went to this place, four of us, just because my wife is from Vancouver and actually from West 4th Avenue. It was Sunday brunch. We didn’t start well at all. The water glasses were dirty with the remnants of lipstick. They were changed only for the new ones to be dirty with lipstick once more! It took a rather long time for the cocktails to come and even then they came in stages, with the fourth one arriving after the others were half away through theirs. It took the food rather long time to arrive as well. The food was just average, nothing special. This is a dog friendly restaurant which is OK, but allowing dogs on tables is rather too much.

The space feels airy and light - we were there on a bright, sunny morning for brunch. Lots of people turned away as they hadn't booked. Many diners had turned up with their dogs The service was chaotic and slow, which was surprising as they must have known the numbers expected. The cocktails were good, but came at different times, the Caesar cocktails - Bloody Mary's made with clamoto were very good, and praised by our Canadian companion. The others had Margaritas and Martinis. Second rounds were more Caesars and glasses of Canadian wine The food included a number of different eggs Benedict which could be mixed and matched, Full English, and pancakes and waffle mixes The full English was not well received, the mixed eggs Benedict - peas and goats cheese, salmon, etc. went down well My Chicken Run, fried chicken pieces with a hot and sour glaze on pancakes, was a mix of good tasty chicken bit woolly, cold, chewy pancakes We finished of with coffees The outing was enjoyable but not exceptional Could do better

Really wanted to love our new local brunch spot but it was quite disappointing. While being super cute inside, the food was very average and also cold. The pancakes and waffles were completely cold and quite bland. It felt like they had been pre cooked and were sitting all day waiting to be plated. Nothing tasted freshly cooked which was unfortunately very disappointing.

Couldn't recommend this place more. Been there for brunch, lunch and dinner, and so far have not been disappointed with any of the dishes they have brought out. Would highly recommend the Eggs Bennys for brunch, or the pancakes, and for Dinner the mushroom and truffle risotto is fantastic. Service was also 10/10 and was dog friendly too, so could bring my pup who had a bed and everything waiting for him. It was really vibey at night, with great cocktails and an extensive wine list.

Went for dinner for a friend’s birthday; menu minimal and not particularly inspiring. Tiny portions of overpriced, bland food. Lovely venue, pleasant staff and atmosphere, but left feeling hungry and a bit ripped off.

This has to be the best brunch spot in Fulham! The eggs and pancakes were fantastic, great service and value too. Would highly recommend!
