Can’t stick to opening times and super expensive

The food was perfection, tasty and good quality, the best chicken portions I’ve had in a long time! The lasagne meal was excellent! On arrival the food was hot. The only downside was the portion of curry sauce as it was so small, however very tasty!

Edit 4 years on and my opinion has changed. The food and milkshakes are good, and often arrives quicker than advised through JustEat. Would recommend. More often than not the food is 30 mins to and hour late. Not good service.

I got a call from them a 11 48am don't understand why I live in Hull nowhere near where they are plus don't know nobody from that area sounds like a terrible buy the reviews I've seen 🤢

Previously we’ve had really good takeaways from here. So on a Friday night we’ve Pre-ordered two kebabs, chips and an individual pizza to be delivered for 2115hrs, knowing it would be busy on a Friday. So they had at least one hours notice to sort the food and deliver it. At 2120hrs still no sign of my order, ring in to be told it’s on its way. “How long?” I ask…….oh we don’t know but soon. Knock on the door at 2125hrs, great I think. However just half of the order has arrived. We are missing a pizza…….. So we ring at 2135hrs to ask when it is going to be delivered…….this is where it gets better. “Soon” the guy on the phone says……….so when we dispute the timings the guy then has the nerve to say “It’s Friday night…..it is what it is, and it’s just a pizza”. No I don’t think so, at 2140hrs the pizza finally arrives cold and needs microwaving. I’m sorry if this is how you operate then I’m certainly never ordering again. £30 for cold pizza and dried out food as a result of waiting for the whole order. Avoid it’s gone downhill.

We had a beef burger & spicy chicken burger, really tasty and cooked to perfection

Ordered a Werrington special kebab with an extra bread. Meat arrived luke warm with no breads. Had to call to get breads delivered but by that point the kebab was cold. Not acceptable that you should have to microwave to get your food warm

Paid for order but sent no breads with it. Having to microwave food is not good enough

I ordered curry and chips they sent cold fries and this strong gravy sauce made me sick. My partners kebab was a bit of chicken loads of mayo and abit of salad looked disgusting and I had to throw mine away even the kids disnt want theirs either... Waste of money and food is terrible 🤢 £32 wasted.

I order from here quite a lot. They a friendly over the phone and the drivers who deliver always have smiles on their faces and polite and professional when they deliver. The food is great. Deliveries can take a while on very rare occasions due to how busy they are so if you're in a rush then order before 6pm or be patient. Would recommend 😊 please disregard last review as it seems that they may have been taken over and under new management yet again since writing previous review and have tried there delivery service only to find that, not only has the quality of their food dropped but whilst ordering their guy was rude and unapologetic so I would recommend going to somewhere else until it either changes or burns down. A very unhappy Chris. UPDATE, 19/12/2023 Well they've done it and.managed to turn it around. The food quality is much better, the staff knowledgeable and friendly. Credit where credits due. Very unhappy ordered for collection on the phone and the person took so long and still got my order wrong. Missed the garlic bread off the whole order had to go back in, Pizza tastes like chemicals, missed sauce and salad off my burger. Claims in the deal you get a kebab and it’s a pitta bread🤦🏽‍♀️

First time I have been to Werrington Pizza & Grill and definitely the last! The most over priced rubbish in S-O-T!! Ordered a Chicken kebab with salad and it was discussing and the salad was just lettuce and nothing else!!! It was covered in HOT Chili sauce that I did not ask for!! AVOID

Just called in for a takeaway. When we got home only half the load but paid in full . NOT HAPPY!!! very madding!!! and disappointing 😞

Orderd a pizza for delivery and he said it was to far when I only live down the road and wanted charge me five pound delivery and saying I shud order more food if I want it trying force me into buying more food when I live in my own shocking place shocking service avoid at all cost

This is the first and last time I will be buying any food from one of the grubbiest kebab houses I've ever stepped foot in and the staff didn't look any better no uniform whatsoever dirty scruffy looking clothes and the kebab was vile

After 8 years of living in Werrington and ordering from the pizza and grill, tonight is my last order. Prices are far too high, service tonight has been woeful to the least. I ordered in the shop at 20:40 and was told 20mins so asked them to deliver. At 21:40, still waiting after calling them at 21:20 to be told it was out for delivery. Shocking service. Overpriced. Time to avoid, folks

Wrong sauce, wrong price and wrong attitude.

This was my first and it will be my last visit to this establishment. I want to be as fair as possible here. We arrived at/just before closing time, we placed an order for 2 Kebabs, to be fair we were told that they didn't have any salad, we reasonably expected that with this detail in mind that we would get extra meat or even be offered a portion of fries especially as they took 17 ponds of my hard earned money, they could of at least offered a discount on the price. The price? there is another issue, there were no prices to be seen on there menus, they were blacked out. They took my order and my money, I was engaged in conversation with my wife so didn't really notice what was going on with my order. When they bagged up my order and handed it to me the penny dropped as to what I had just paid for, my annoyance over took me and although I did express to the staff my view's, calmly and respectfully I had to walk away because I was furious. When we opened the food it was a huge let down. The meat was OK but the pitta bread disintegrated. If this is an example of customer service and morals towards value for money linked to customer service then I would advise anyone to avoid this place. I made some school boy errors here but I expected the service provider to have the same scruples as myself and standards of customer service, big big big mistake. They just want your money, end of.

Food portion sizes have dropped a little in recent months and pricing up a touch but hasn’t everything. Despite that it’s still the best all-rounder in the area!

Awful food. I had a diner kebab. It was thick pale greasy meat. It looked like dog meat and had a horrible taste. Never again ! B

Had orders before no problem last order we did came through was cold spoke to them and response was well it was cooked 10 minutes ago which obviously was a load of rubbish will never use again!!!

This is a huge shame, years ago this was the place to get a Kabab from, I had a mixed Kabab last night and it was small, the steak was honestly like leather so tough that I couldn’t break it down at all, On the other hand the kofta was really nice, the fact that my mixed Kabab had more chips than it had meat is the reason I’m not happy with this order, we used to love this place, what a shame

Foods very average, live 5 mins away and still takes 1hr 30mins to arrive and cold, don’t bother.

Had a lamb kebab lastnight its got to be the worst kebab ive ever had absolutely terribe shall not be using these again .

Not sure if changed ownership but we have ordered from here for over 10years and have not had such poor food ever. Price increase I can accept due to current climate but food quality not. Will not be ordering again.

Never get the order correct so you have to go into the shop and face to face ask what you want. They sometimes get that wrong. Standards are slipping

Well I'm sorry for those before me who had a bad experience but...I can honestly say..my order was ontime...and the 2 piece Chicken and chips I ordered was delicious the Chicken was the best I've had around here lately. The Cheeseburger I ordered was better than a McDonald's 1/4 pounder. The Milkshake was on point delicious...and the Fudge cake am sure will go down well when I've finished writing this review. I've had a brilliant experience nothing to complain about. Thanks.

Forgot things they say they would get the missing items delivered and don’t !! The food came tonight cold as if it was last nights leftovers, the chicken had no skin on and was dry as anything, chips were hard and cold. Garlic pizza bread cold and rock hard. Wont be ordering again from there and definitely wouldn’t recommend.

I wouldn’t bother with delivery especially the pre order the owners couldn’t give a toss and when it’s there fault there 35mins late the no real reason execpt there busy! (It’s a pre order from an 1:10mins b4! Toss

Takeaway came .. 100% was given the night before food. Dona meat was rock hard and the chips well :( . Absolutely discusting. Used to love this place but passed few months it’s horrible and I don’t want order again. On the other hand the milk shake was beautiful so that filled me up and tasted a lot better than hard Dona meat

I made an order at 18:11pm for my food to turn up at 19:15. Not a problem as it was a busy time, unfortunately the order was missing a donner kebab. I rang and the manager answered. I explained that the order was wrong, he went on to tell me that I needed to have patience. I explained that I'd waited 1 hour and 10 minutes and expected my order to turn up together. He went on to tell me that if I wanted it to be correct I should go somewhere closer to my address. Gutted as I've been here before with no problems. Its 20:55pm and still no replacement kebab.

I always telephone order and collect. the staff are polite and efficient. the food is always well cooked and tasty.

Ordered 7.30 still waiting 20 to 10 cancelled order sick of waiting used them for years but no longer not impressed.now Saturday night getting my money back is taking as long as it would of been delivered. NOW THURSDAY NIGHT AND NO REFUND £30 NOT REFUNDED HOPE THEY LOSE A LOT OF BUSINESS.

The staff are rude and shouldn’t be given the time of day. I Used the app to order a family meal but the app kept showing a fault, prompting me to phone. With this I called to enquire but the person who picked up was the most rude person I have ever met. I told him that the app wouldn’t work and he said there had been an earlier fault but the order would now go through, I then prompted that I had only recently tried this several times and it failed, so questioned how it would make a difference? The same rude guy said he hadn’t got time to discuss my problem and suggested I go elsewhere. I then asked to speak to his manager but he said he wasn’t back for an hour and this guy slammed the phone down. To say I was taken aback is an understatement, we have used these as our only kebab shop for 5+ years. Because of the service I decided to call back and cancel the order... I was clearly answered by the same guy who was this time claiming to be the manager ( who previously wasn’t available), he played ignorant and pretended to deny all knowledge. In brief, the food is good but the service is disgraceful and the staff are rude. Stay away unless you want abusing

Disappointed to be told 2 minutes before delivery time that the restaurant had closed an that I would not receive my order. Also that I will not be refunded for a couple of days.

Absolute Disgrace!!!! THIS PLACE HAS RECENTLY CHANGED HANDS..you can forget all previous good comments, absolutely shocking service... 3 large kebabs ordered in stop even collected, when home no kebabs had salad, pitta or sauce 🤷🏼‍♀️ manager would not agree to send the correct order out, just wanted to send Pitta breads and Salad to be delivered... waiting Over 2 hours for these so obviously the chicken was cold & dry .. We use the takeaway often but recently the food has been coming wrong with things missing or things we have not even ordered and not only that but take but taking over an hour to come. Tonight we have ordered food it’s took 3 hours to be delivered! When the food arrived there was no pizza, instead we had 2 garlic breads. Absolutely awful service. The food is nice but to many issues with trying to get the correct food and on time !!!

Absolutely disgraceful customer service. Parents and children ordered on sat night at 18:45 were told 30 mins for delivery, over 2 hours, 2 phone calls and empty promises later the food still hadn’t arrived !!! We then ordered on Sunday as kids still wanted a takeaway, order came wrong despite the staff repeating the right order on the phone. I called them to let them know and had a very rude response. I was told that it was my fault and they weren’t prepared to do anything about it. When I mentioned the over 2 hour wait on the Saturday the response was ‘ well tuff, that’s just the way it is’ !!!! Will never recommend and will never use again. Werrington pizza and grill you should be ashamed of yourselves and the service you provide.

Good VFM Pizzas very tasty and the southern fried chicken is also very good. Would recommend.

Ordered at 6.10pm on the just eat app and it said it was a 49 minute wait for delivery. Half an hour after waiting, we received a phone call to say it would be late by another hour. 8.05pm it eventually turned up, it was all very soggy, must have been in the bag a while. However I've ordered from here before at a non busy period and it was far nicer. I would order from here again but not during any busy period

So we ordered a pizza on the phone, the person spoke extremely fast. Could t work out what she was asking(I think it was a female) kept saying I can’t hear. That was because there were kids in the back ground shouting, I had told her what I wanted and our address but I wanted to know how much it would come to and when it would arrive roughy, but she put the phone down, pizzas are always nice, but person at end of phone was t. To me quite rude

I never leave reviews but I had to today. Last night I received the best take away I've ever had (no exaggeration) I had Pizza, it was piping hot, plenty of cheese & it tasted amazing! In fact I can still taste it now. I also had cheeseburger & chips (don't judge me it was my cheat day) that was brilliant too. My partner had Donner Meat & chips. I'm not normally much for Donner but this was really nice. The portion size was fantastic, normally other take aways are pretty shady but these couldn't of filled the fray more if they tried. I highly recommend you to order from here, this is now my number 1 take away & I won't go anywhere else.

Been here loads but tonight is the last. Making to many mistakes latley for me. They know me well here. i also have the exact same food every time. It Arrived stone cold and wrong I rang and complained all i got was ill sort you out next time. So I personally took it back as they were not intrested in sending the right food out and got my money back. Utterly Useless.

Normally order food from Werrington.. Never had any problems before and always enjoyed the food... but today I placed my order through "just eat" and had my order cancelled... so I ring Werrington up to see why my order was cancelled, to have someone on the phone, quite rude, telling me they cancelled my order because they are too busy, the fact we are regular customers is pretty annoying to have the order cancelled, but not only to be cancelled... then to be spoken to, by a rude member of staff or owner. Not happy!

Both got ill within 1hr of eating. Staff ignorant.
