Wenzel's in City of London, Westminster

Decided to pick up a picnic before hitting Marylebone High Street. Really glad we did. So fresh and tasty and an excellent meal deal too.

Really lovely lady working there this morning. Excellent cup of Yorkshire tea and delicious cheese and onion slice. Can’t wait to justify going back!

Convenient. Cheap and cheerful take away shop located in Baker Street underground station. Useful if your rushing around. I had the vegan sausage roll and an orange juice. Lighly warmed and a perfect snack to quickly eat whilst commuting between meetings! A bit crumbly and messy to eat but fine. Some may find it bland but I liked it. Service was good. Staff were friendly and pleasant. Good selection of pastries, cakes, drinks and more despite being a small shop. Clean. They display calories too which is useful. They don't always put all the products out so just ask. The vegan sausage roll was not on display, just the standard meat one but when I asked they said they had it at the back. Guessing it was due to the limited space.

At 10:55Am this morning 13/01/2023 it was the worst experiences with the customer service I ever come across. The lady at the till were very Rude!! With me. At first I was say hi and greetings her with the smile but no response so I guess she in the bad mood then I was order a sandwich in brown bread she give me a white bread instead and I say No Thank you. And she just throw the sandwich a side of her on front of me. I can tell she doing that on purpose. Me and the other customers look at each other like what the!! I work near by at this area so I came here a lot almost everyday. Usually the staff are very polite here friendly however I’m very disappointed this morning.

Almost every day its close at 6:00 when the time table says its open. So sad I can't get my coffee

Outstanding service and food every single time, i phoned up as I was running 3 mins late and the kind lady kindly peppered my bag and waiting for me collect. To me that’s above and beyond service.

Excellent new bakers parking outside and at the rear of the building Very convenient lovely fresh bread cakes coffees sandwiches office sandwiches staff were friendly the building is a good size and nice and clean good size nice and clean and this place also has seating for eating in so has seating for eating inside will most certainly will most certainly be visiting here more Yeah most of these bakeries are in North London but are there appearing everywhereThey do stamp cards for coffees and bread So you buy 6 and get one free something like that Everything I've had from here has been very good quality quality and their bread is amazing If you ask for a sandwich they will make it out the back fresh for yout the back fresh for you on white or Brown bread Can't go wrong with this place much better than the McDonald's across the road

I have to give 5* s , I would give higher if I could the manager Michelle is very welcoming and gives fantastic customer service i will definitely be returning to Wenzels in the near future

Located in the station take away only. Very convenient if you need to grab and go, quick bite to eat. Pastries, cakes, desserts, sandwiches, drinks and more. I had the vegan roll which was nice. Lightly warmed so I could eat it quickly on the go. Some may find the roll bland. It did lack flavour and needed more of a kick. It was also quite dry. However, it was easy to eat and didn't make a lot of mess like some pastries. In all honesty, quick, cheap and cheerful on the go. Would buy again if I needed to. Staff were pleasant. Good service even though they were busy.

The team are fantastic always friendly working in a busy station store. I want to thank Roxanna and the team for always smiling even at 645am in the morning.

Fresh and delicious sandwiches, This shop is actually inside the station which is good for me traveling through it, but I found other branches which equally have same items. Loved the sandwiches in first try and buying since then.

Tenemos pasteles para llevar para más tarde, íbamos a Madame Tussauds. Gran selección de empanadas, 3 vegetarianos estaban contentos con su elección. Buena selección de bocadillos también. El rollo vegano fue excelente. Todos disfrutamos mucho el pastel que comimos más tarde. Personal realmente amable y excelentes precios. El personal con el que hablamos en Madame Tussaud's dice que también les encanta ir allí.

The vegan sausage rolls.are as good as greggs. :)

The sourdough at Wenzels is so good I'm prepared to make a 40 minute round trip tube journey to it

Nice fresh sandwichs. Delicious. Only pity the shop is inside the station and can only be accessed if traveling.

La comida aquí es realmente buena, se puede tener comida y bebidas frías o calientes y no muy caras, la comida se prepara fresca.

Incredibly rude staff. Was standing in the doorway with my dog to ask if she was allowedain a blonde Eastern European member of staff shouted at me to go. Have told my whole company to avoid like the plague.

This morning 8am no customers, I asked for a cheese and onion slice. Got back to the office and opened the packet, seemed like a sausage roll so I did not bite into it but broke it with my hand, it was a sausage roll, went back and explained this to the girl that served me and she just took the packet off me and handed a cheese and onion slice, no apology no nothing....wenzels should thank I did not bite into it or I would have been livid. Sent an email to their customer service 8am, 10 hours later no reply(shows how much care they have for their customers). Am now sending a letter to their head office in Pinner, see if they can just simply say sorry. Please double check your orders if u visit the baker street Wenzyls, very poor customer service there.

Asked for a salad roll that wasn't available and they made it fresh. Absolutely packed with salad. Really good, will definitely go back for more of the same!

Got charged wrong price and given wrong order, customer assistant with silver hair is a little incompetent it seems

Looks really tacky with its brown and orange old school decor but has the most fresh sandwiches on lovely thick cut bread. Nice and cheap too.

Good selection of tasty bakery goods and for the location (central London), very reasonably priced with doughnuts and cupcakes for under £1.

Little different to most bakeries by having a good selection of none boring stuff. It's all pretty tasty as well

Prices are only a fraction on the steep side but you definitely can taste a difference compared so some other similar, cheaper, type bakers. Loads of different little take-away type nibbles here
