Wendells in Southwark

I wrote the following review in the summer but for some reason trip advisor have kept it "pending" for months. Adding it here now :- "We have never been to this area before but happened to be here today for work. As it was lunch time we looked for somewhere to eat. We were right near The Leathermarket, so decided to have a look in there; on the way in we saw a sandwich board advertising Wendells and we liked the look of what they were offering. We saw a cafe but couldn't see a name and it looked like the reception to a theatre. We ignored that and kept looking for Wendells, asking a passerby where it was - he looked very surprised and pointed behind us to the cafe which we had ignored, that actually was Wendells! It also is the reception to a theatre so maybe better signage would be a good idea to guide newbies who see their advertisement and want to visit them. We had a lovely lunch here - there was so much choice and the staff were very friendly. There is a salad bar where you can choose your fillings for all types of rolls, wraps or sandwiches etc. There was also a hot counter with a small but tasty selection of cooked meals such as curry, chilli, lasagne etc. In the end my husband chose a chicken curry which he said tasted of very good quality, I had a delicious homemade quiche with salad (I was offered the option of having the quiche hot or cold.) We were very impressed with our food and the helpfulness of the staff."
