Wem Kitchen in Shropshire

Food was mediocre at best very plain and overall disappointing. The noodles reminded me of packet flavourless noodles. Wouldn't recommend.

Spent a good few years using another Chinese takeaway in Wem and then saw recommendations for Wems Kitchen. Yep they were right, best Chinese takeaway in Wem.

Food was ok chicken was low quality and staff were rude when we only asked for some prawn crackers were shouted at and told it needed to be £25 when we only wanted to buy some.

Delicious food and very welcoming staff! We telephoned our order and collected. Special Fried Rice, Chicken Balls and chips. The best that we have had in a long time.

Chips are bad. A lot of the main dishes in tubs taste identical and is pretty plain.

Ordering over the phone was very efficient and easy to understand. Food is normally good, however last order was more ‘tub with meat, lots of onions and non-descript sauce’ territory. Chilli and Garlic beef should have actual chilli and garlic in it. Please be careful not to cut back on quality to save money. Also, please start taking card and contactless payments. We’d use you more but we rarely have cash.

Superb food, always freshly cooked, staff are great greeted with smiles always. 10/10

I don't know why it's taken me so long to use Wem kitchen? The food was 10/10, the girl that took my order was friendly and helpful with the menu, I won't be going anywhere else 😉

Always had a good meal from Wem Kitchen, but the last time we had a beef curry the meat in it wasn't at all nice, infact we couldn't eat it , sorry to say it's put us off going again, it's a shame because we considered Wem Kitchen the best.

Surely it isn’t hard it take a order down of 7 different things. For the staff at Wem kitchen it seems to be . One dish incorrect . One dish full of veg when we asked for no veg and to forget the curry sauce is just plain bloody annoying. Food we did have was ok . Lacking abit of flavour . Tried to ring up to complain but might of well spoke about the weather as the fella didn’t have a clue . How do these takeaways in wem continue to run when they can’t even get the orders correct is beyond me.

Why is it so hard for you staff you listen to the orders being placed & to not miss off items. Very very unsatisfied customer who will not be back.

Helpful., friendly , good value and above all really nice food. especially the Mongolian beef , spicy{not hot} and tender..

Best chinese food I've ever had

Really enjoyed the food at this place. Mostly a classic Chinese takeaway menu but it all seemed to be done in their own way, presumably following their own recipes. Everything seemed to be of a really high quality and i’ll definitely be going back.

Wonderfull, lovely happy staff, my husband is totally addicted to the beef curry, i have to limit him to one a week.....unless hes been very good!

I often call in for one of their superb Chinese chicken currys with egg fried rice, peas and onions. always very tasty and fresh. recommended!!

I cannot agree with the other ratings on this page unless the staff are having a bad day. Unfortunately it is the worst Chinese meal we have ever had. From the ribs that had very little meat on to the gloopy sauces. Sorry to say we will not be a returning customer.☹️☹️

We chose this Chinese takeaway solely on the reviews in Trip Advisor so can only hope we had an unusually bad meal from here. We live the other side of Wem and were travelling back late with friends, passing through Wem, so ordered our meal, all of us being Chinese food lovers. I am sad to say that all of the main meals and noodles were sadly lacking flavour, to the point that all of us used the word 'grey' to describe the food. Most of it went uneaten. Hopefully this was a one off as the other reviews don't paint this as a usual level of service delivered.

Love this place. Staff really friendly & helpful. Food cooked to perfection, freshly & quickly. Generous portions. I absolutely love the Mongolian dishes. Value for money.

Annual Chinese for the whole family the night before wem carnival. In 14 years they have never failed to deliver the grumpy family a meal they haven't loved. Absolutely spot on. ❤❤

When we moved to Wem we wondered where to get a good Chinese meal as there are several takeaways. Wem's Kitchen was recommend and we have always used it! Lovely food, good prices and really friendly staff - what more could you ask for?

The food here is the best you'll find in Wem. We're tried them all and find Wem's Kitchen to be the best. They don't deliver because they don't need to, it's worth the effort to collect it and they get enough custom over the phone/dropping in. A simple, uncomplicated menu and very highly recommended.

Moved here 18 months ago so finding a good curry house is not easy trial and error BEST for miles everything I have tried has been goood

This is by far and away the best Chinese/Cantonese Takeway for miles. Always friendly and happy to do specials. Have been using them for over 8 years and always had top class food
