Just an update. We have returned several times since i posted this review. Each time the welcome we receive is heartfelt. Everyone is so helpful. Not just the staff but the customers too. Making room for me to get through with the wheelchair. The food has also been good. The vegan choice could be better as is limited considering how much there is now. It is also frozen so will not go off. Also please note not all vegans like mushrooms and cauliflower. My wife hates them but so many menues have them as main meals. Had an evening meal I am disabled and in a wheelchair This was no problem at all. Ramp to get in and plenty of room inside. My wife is vegan and had a vegan curry She said it was very nice. I had the beef lasagna. This was also very good. They were out of stock of a couple of choices but I wasn't bothered as there was still plenty of choice. The staff were great. We were made very welcome. Service was also great. We will be going there again.

Welcome inn has really good food, and what makes it amazing and makes me want to return is Ross behind the bar who goes above and beyond to make sure that the orders are done well and it feels like family.

Not one of the better Greene king I have been to. Ordered via app ending up going to the bar to get them 10 mins later. The burger was over cooked on one side and not cooked at all the other.

After endlessly travelling around the area trying many places that were seriously expensive we found this gem with good food and excellent service at a sensible cost. if we lived in the area we would definitely go back.

Went for lunch on a Sunday, and we had a nice afternoon. The food is good value. A nice pub and garden.

This is the lower price level of the Greene King chain, and the menu reflects that, though good enough for the price. Service friendly. However on leaving I used the ladies loos, out of three, one was missing a door lock, one door would not close, and the toilet seat was on the floor next to the toilet Not a good impression to leave with.

Sadly my first visit. I had a sirloin steak tha was tough and gristly. I had to leave it. On the other hand my friend had a lasagne which she thoroughly enjoyed. Due to that and the reasonable pricing I will try again at some stage (just not the sirloin)

Generally pretty good but it is a case of if you want better pay more somewhere else. That said I do like the food and the place.

Went in. Looked a great pub. Staff were nice. There was no food available that day foe some reason but the menu looked really good

We stopped off here to shelter from the rain on a dog walk, there was plenty of parking, reasonably priced food and drink, great atmosphere and dog and child friendly too. I can safely say we will be returning.

Lovely local - something for everyone!

Had a party in the bar area and Hannah/the team were so accommodating! Would definitely book to have a small function here again, was a brilliant night! We ordered food to come out and it was all hot, everyone complimented the food when it came out Thanks again Hannah and the welcome team x

Great place, nice big garden with children's play area. A little tatty around the edges, but great staff dealing with two events on a Saturday. The food was amazing, as was the service.

Went with a large group of 17 for a family meal. Supplied menu choices beforehand. On the night a perfect area had been allocated to our party. The food was served hot, all at the same time, exactly as it had been ordered. The food was really good (even the vegan meals), as were the staff. Service was great. Really couldn’t complain, when the bill came we were pleasantly surprised, fantastic value for money. I would definitely recommend. Thank you.

Looking for a place open on a Bank Holiday Monday to have a late evening meal at a reasonable price. This place ticked ALL three. The staff were friendly and the food was enjoyed by the three of us dining there.

Just wanted to say thank you to Courtney, Ross and Kieron for an absolutely fab evening yesterday. Myself and my friend Sam went for our girlie Christmas dinner and WOW it was amazing!! The food was bloody gorgeous and the Christmas dinner was perfect - well done Kieron Massive portions, so leftovers for today lol Ross and Courtney went above and beyond to make sure we have a fab night Thank you all xx

Great to go back to the Welcome Inn for lunch. However short of staff as many establishments are and despite booking our table, management not aware we were coming as another party had booked as well. Despite this the food was good and staff amenable.

Very pleasant and good value for money

This pub is amazing at local food pushed towards family and friends. I was served by a girl called Gina. She had a great personality and helped me and my family choose what we wanted to eat. I ended up having a Katzu burger which I would recommend.

More of a sports bar than a pub but a nice place all the same. Had 2 different football matches and a rugby game on when we went in. Great selection of spirits and the food seemed really nice.

Social distancing in place and staff really conscientious about it and make sure rules are adhered to. Table service using the app is great.

Have been going to the Welcome since 2010, but in the last few months have not been as have been disappointed with the food. But, yesterday we went back and both the food and service was excellent again ! Great value for money and the new chef has made a huge difference!

The place has gone downhill fast! The ‘team leader’ Elisha Davies was incredibly rude has zero customer service skills and spoiled our entire experience! Avoid!

Visited Thursday 2nd Jan 2020 around 6:30pm. Decided to get 2 things off the '2 for £9.99 menu' - Lasagne and Gammon & Eggs. Portion sizes were good for the price and food was tasty. Also had desserts which were delicious. Very friendly staff and even the chef came out to check everything was ok.

They got my Mum meal wrong and all were pretty small
