Portion sizes shocking for what you pay and have to say wasn’t the best

order 2 pickled onion was only 1 chips warm went cold fish small bones in it

cod chips very nice onion rings just good

do not eat from here the food was terrible, curry was like water, mushy peas no taste, kebab meat was like card board skinny curld up you can tell it was old old kebab meat, chicken was pink and grey vile, sausage was grey and chips was dried up tasteless don't bother asking for help from just eat the fob you off £16.00 was wasted on here

The food was lovely but very disappointed in the size of the large fish. It was a little small compared to how big the fish used to be. However the food was yummy as always

Our regular chips weren't with our order, we phoned welcome fish bar, they said we need to take the complaint to just eat. Our chips were old, large mixed meat and chips was more like a medium portion. Salad was old and hardly any there, and the fillet chicken burger was too spicy for my 13 year old son.

They forgot my drink and the food is very greacy

The pot of curry sauce had exploded all over the bag/ food. The Donner meat was hard and inedible. I have ordered from here several times and I was so disappointed with the food today.

Another great meal from a great takeaway. The food is piping hot and good size portions. The delivery driver is very polite. Recommended.

Curry sauce missing, said another would be delivered 20 minutes after. 24 weeks pregnant and no dinner because of missing curry sauce.

With every order we have made from here in the last few months the portion size has got smaller & the food quality isn’t what it used to be. The kebab in naan is now the size of a wrap. Such a shame because we’ve been ordering from here for years. Think it’s time to find a new chippy!

Why can one order be different to another chicken was hot but not much meat on thigh or drumstick,salad OK to much lettuce, chips rubbish cold dry and bitty, my last review was so much different why can't the food be the same, won't order for a while now

Friendly staff, great food, which is mostly cooked fresh when you order. Only reason I have marked it down by 1 on service is they can be a little slow at times, they have limited staff here and I have waited upto 10 minutes for food.

I used to love the food here. Won't be back again because today the food was cold and dry. Missing a can too!

Never ever ever order from here, chips manky and cold, kebab cold, dry and clearly re used meat. Disgraceful chip shop I will be reporting.... try to call them to inform them how poor the food they sent out was can't get through.. food I wouldn't even serve to animals...

Wasn’t the best if i am honest and we’ve ordered from here before & been happy but this time the portions were very small for the cost and it wasn’t very hot at all unfortunately..

We have only started using this chippy for a few weeks we live down the road and normally collect. My first visit here and the lady made some battered chips with me to try she was also very friendly and they cook the food fresh to order. 10/10 for this chippy. Thank you :)

The food was really amazing I would go there again

Although my pie was fine chips were mainly bits and most importantly my mom left her fish as it had a funny smell/ taste. So it went in the bin with most of the chips

As a long-standing customer I am very disappointed in tonight’s lack of good and customer service. I ordered a meal deal chicken breast & chips and a medium kebab meat & chips. The chicken breast meal came with no chips and the chicken breast was poor quality, very tiny! The kebab meat & chips should have been a medium but was more like a small portion. The food was also cold. I rang the restaurant to advise them that the chicken meal arrived with no chips and they did apologise but I was informed that I would have to wait another hour for the chips to be sent out! I was offered a large chips or a refund next time but this did not sort tonight’s issue of not enough food. The service, quality of food and portion sizes of late has not been the best but I tried it again tonight to give the benefit of the doubt! I think it’s time for a change!

Poor quality not very warm not worth the money

Food came on time, really good quality but missing one item (this is the third time this has happened now). Phoned up to be asked if i wanted the same thing sent out again or something different. Asked for what i ordered but then told it would be about half an hour. Woman on the phone was very abrupt too.

the fish had an awful smell and i only had two bits it didnt taste right s had to throw it away not happy with the fish at all it spoilt my meal

Food is always excellent but we waited 2.5 hours for it! Wouldn’t be so bad if I hadn’t been told it was ready and the next out - then called 45 minutes later to be told it was being cooked. Great when it turned up, but please stop taking orders if you can’t do them in a reasonable time :(

The food here is delicious however the delivery time today has seriously let you guys down. Hitting the ‘delayed’ button 4 times when a simple call to keep us posted would have been just fine. Disappointed but will order again soon

Bit dubious about the naan as most chip shops do pizza base an it's horrible just had tandoori naan from here an it was as usual yummy freshly baked naan personally I wouldn't use a different chip shop by far the best chip shop in kingstanding

1 hour and 30mins for delivery!, was expected within 40 minutes. I understand that it can be busy but its not hard to adjust the time expected to deliver on just eat. Had to contact myself to get information and they did apologise, just eat offered to ask for a partial refund which was declined. I at least expected the £3.50 delivery charge to be refunded.

Waited 2 hours for food to arrive. When it come it had to go in the microwave to reheat heat it.

Me and my partner had mixed kebab in naan and a mixed kebab and chips and it was dreadful, the Donnor meat was horrible and hard and the tandoori chicken wasn’t very nice either, the naan was hard aswell and also cold like it come out the fridge, unfortunately we both wasted our meals as we couldn’t eat them.

Kebab was good roe was cooked and burger was good only problem chips where unedable so e uncooked and hard and black spots on most chips

Delicious battered chips, they were great. The fish wasn't so crispy and it would have been nice to have a little bit more salad but we still really enjoyed our meal from you, thank you!

Had mini cod and chips was really nice but portions not very big.and was real cod not the nasty grey fish most chip shops are now serving.always ask for cod never fish

First time to be disappointed with Welcome. The fish was undercooked with doughy, soggy batter that mostly stuck to the paper. The onion rings needed at least another three minutes' cooking and the kebab was cold. The battered chips were good as usual but that did not help the meal which was very disappointing and mostly went in the bin

Great, fresh, large fish. Fresh chips cooked to perfection. Great Kebab. All in all still my favourite chippy in a five mile radius. Great value always piping hot, no stale, soggy chips. Delivery guy always has a smile on his face and is friendly. Thank you Welcome Fish Bar!

Forgot chips with the kebab which was disappointing but overall it was good and we haven't had this issue before.

Food was delicious and would definitely recommend...however it was packed with the curry sauce on the bottom that had split and spilt all over the bottom of the bag causing a right mess. Not sure if it was bad packing or the delivery driver flinging it in the car lol

Kept getting delayed and then the driver was in traffic. Really sorry but I won’t be ordering again from you. Eating food at 7.30 when I ordered at 6pm. Too late too eat and therefor I have wasted most of it

Food was OK it was cold but the fact I waited around 1.5hours for it delivered is shocking. Won't be buying again.

Not bad fish chips and few other options

First time ordering from here, food took 95 minutes to arrive. Staff were friendly on the phone but certainly didn’t rush to get our food to us after we called. Food was just okay, chips were very crispy, unfortunately won’t be ordering again, not a great first impression

I've ordered from here loads and this is the first time I've been disappointed, the fish was literally pouring grease so bad it got put in the bin and the burger was dry and followed it. Even the battered chips were soft and greasy. It's a chippy so you expect a bit of grease but it's normally so nice from here. I took photos and called the restaurant before posting a review to sort it out but after being told they'd call me back they never did. Really disappointed.
