Spice lounge in Birmingham

Worst food ever . Delivered cold ,half boxes , and when I called to complain owner was very aggressive. Will never buy from them .

I come from a Asian background so i find it hard to find a decent curry house in birmingham which i like as I’ve eaten curry from birth lol as most Ive tried does not compete with my mothers or wife’s cooking, i was pleasantly surprised with the chefs cooking at spicy lounge. We ordered a chicken bhuna, lamb achar with garlic and keema naan’s and portions were good and the taste was amazing. Spice lounge will now be my number 1 spot for curries going forward

Good food, disappointing service Picked up takeaway from The Spice Lounge this evening. We had three dishes – all were very good, as usual. However, the experience was let down by poor service. The menu stated you could get 10% off if ordering online, but the website was down. I couldn’t get through on the phone either, so I drove there and asked if they’d still honour the discount. The response was abrupt and dismissive – I was told no, with no attempt to understand or empathise. I was told the manager wasn’t there, but then saw him arrive and the staff didn’t bother to raise it with him. Food’s still good, but service like that puts me off going back. If you advertise an online discount, you should honour it when your own systems aren’t working – especially if customers have made the effort to come in person.

Last night we had a mixed grill and keema rice.Both very well spiced and cooked to perfection. Will be ordering again.

I never give reviews, but this place was worth it. Absolutely 5 stars! The guy working there was soooo nice — genuinely so accommodating. The food? Amazing. So lush, fresh, and just hit the spot. Honestly a solid 10/10 all round. The prices were unbelievably good for the quality you get. Loved it. Thank you

Moved to Brum and tried their chicken Karahi and it tasted so nice. Second time coming here for a takeaway and love it. The owner adi is also a very nice guy. Definitely recommend 👌🏿

The food was amazing. I can’t stop myself from having it more. But i want to make one suggestion. If there are more veg options in main course. Paneer Kadai, Malai Kofta, Paneer Dum Biryani, Veg Dum Biryani 😀

I decided to try spice lounge tonight in Birmingham. Lady who served me was very friendly. The food came and the portion size was too much to eayin one go. The food itself was amazing, fresh, tasty and the rice was soft and fluffy also. I can honestly say this is one of the best curries I've ever had and at £5 the value for money was secotto none. Thank you so much. A well deserved 5*

I've dined here multiple times. The service is outstanding. Staff are extremely polite and courteous. Especially Fardeen Khan and his side kick. 😀 Food is always delicious 😋. Portion sizes are generous. All in all a lovely atmosphere. Keep up the good work guys. 👍

Great restaurant with nice ambiance, friendly staff and flavorful food. The prices are very good and the serving size is great as well. Menu is nice too. Their Biryani is a must try. It’s delectable. Their chicken shish kebabs are also juicy, soft and savoury. Overall, a nice place with really yummy food at affordable prices. The staff is very kind and nice and they always serve hot food.

Traveled from worcester after seeing the hype all over tick tok for the ramadhan family offer so me and wife went down ..all I can say is WOW. .both the lamb, veg and chicken currys had great amazing taste highly recommended and the staff was very helpful and look after us ..Great value for money with great taste 👌 👍

Had a great iftar meal with a group of friends. Service was great and food was amazing, between us friends we had alot of food, for me the chapal kebab and chicken biriyani was 10/10

Lacks a bit of flavour in the chicken seekh kebabs/samosas. But overall it is good would recommend it.

Had a trip to Birmingham with my parents and sisters. Time was after iftar and still hadn't eaten and had to drive back to London. Had a quick look on google and this was the closest place to eat at with good reviews. Its a small restaurant but we weren't disappointed. We ordered the large tawa which was for 3-4 people and there were 5 of us. We just about ate half of it before we were full. Everything was fresh and hot. Spice level was great and full of flavour. The portion size was also very generous compared to what we have here in London. I think the brother there got a bit worried we didnt like it as there was so much left over but i explained as it was Ramadan it is hard to eat a lot when fasting all day. He understood and we were given containers to take the rest home. The brother and the young sister at the till were very considerate and made sure we had everything we would need as soon as we stepped in. I also heard 2 other customers compliment their food and portion size while we were there. My sister will be moving to Birmingham soon so this may become a regular spot. I pray Allah puts barakah in their business and may they keep up the good work and standard they have.

Awesome meal. Highly recommendable. Nice reception, lovely meal and it’s very affordable. If you in Birmingham or around erdington, you should visit this lovely restaurant for the Indian meal.

Ordered a Biryani. It wasn't very appetitesing. There's a lot of seeds in it, which was off putting. Tasted a little bitter due to these seeds. 3/10 for the Biryani. Nevertheless, the delivery was fast.

Great food, reasonably priced, nice staff. Service a little slow but I'll put that to aside considering they make everything fresh, which not many places do nowadays!

First time visiting Birmingham and decided to try this place after hearing good things from a friend. I must admit, the food was absolutely spot on. The decor is lovely, and a big shout-out to the Bossman for the great hospitality. 10/10 experience. Highly recommend trying the Tava!

Iv been to a few tawa places but I gotta say this one serves the best tawa 10/10. The service was amazing we they treated us like we were family and make us feel comfortable dining in..looking forward to coming back in ramadan inshallah.

Came from Redditch to try the Tawa for 2 and I cannot fault anything. The food was amazing with the best portions. Customer service from all staff especially the owner was exceptional Alhamdulillah. Been to a lot of Tawa places and the amount and the quality in this business you get for the money is honestly amazing. I recently visited Spice Lounge, an Indian cuisine restaurant. The flavours were rich and authentic, with a perfect balance of spices. The chilli paneer was very flavorful, and the naan was fresh and perfectly crisp. The ambience was cosy, and the friendly staff was attentive without being overbearing. I highly recommend this place for anyone craving authentic Indian dishes!

Great food for a reasonable price. We visit almost once or twice every month and have always found the food to be great. The have recently started breakfast which is amazing. The halwa especially is very nice. We had the Nutella paratha as well which was enjoyed by our little one. Edit: Visited recently and Anjum and the team provided with great service. Wow, what can I say. It was the first time we went out for a Tawa and it was special. There were 4 adults and 4 children under the age of 5. We ordered the regular tawa as we weren't sure of the quality of the item and if it will fill us up. The owner/manager was friendly and accommodating. We travelled for 2.5 hours and it was well worth it folks. All the items where freshly cooked. We requested the chicken balti to be changed to chicken pathia which the team gracefully changed. As extras we ordered lamb biryani as it had an offer of "buy one and get the second half price" so we got two of those plus 2 extra keema naans. The keema naan was one of the best that we had in recent years plenty of mince meat inside it and the biryani had good amount of lamb as well. The only downside for me was not communicating with the team enough as we may be abled to change the plain naan with tawa as keema naan and change the tawa rice to some other rice's. We ended the meal with Kashmiri Chai and desi chai and oh my God what a finish that was. Well presented and also very delicious. My reasons for 4 star and not 5 star are: ATMOSPHERE; the place has a huge potential but it's small and we were dreading if we will get a table and we were lucky. FOOD: The tawa rice was pretty standard and would like to see more cans being offered as part of fhe tawa deal. SERVICES: They all are newish and have loads to learn. I come from a catering background and understand what they go through. I believe we as customer also have a duty to be kind and respectful towards them as much as they to make it a great occasion. Finally, since I was there, I acknowledged 10 seperate tables and they all had Tawas. Rest is for you to judge 🙏🏽
