Food is always good. Fortunately the just eat driver was kind enough to not steal our food this time. Thank you.

Never ordering from here again food always comes cold and this time they forgot 2 drink and a dip and was refused a refund from just eat would not recommend.

Never again will I buy from this chippy IM DONE. Firstly the Black girl that works there has an attitude problem, and its the same everytime I go in, NO hi, no smiles, and a constant moody look on her face. Secondly the Kebab MEAT is a horrible cheap rubber like material and as soon as it drops temperature the fat goes white. Its absolutely disgusting. The staff are generally ok apart from that Black girl, and in fact the other white girl in Glasses is occasionally moody.....I'm Done

Been going here for years. It has a real “family feeling” to it. Best chips and meat served with a smile.

Really disappointed. Not had this experience before from this chip shop. The pie was rock hard and the chips were stale. I also ordered the donor meat which was cold upon opening the box and curry sauce was salty.

Food never turned up, was told the driver had taken my food and not offered any refund, terrible customer service, will never order from here again!!

Generally really enjoy the food from here but tonight was really disappointing. Cold food that had bee sweating in a plastic bag. The cod had that horrible black/silver skin still attached, the kebab meat had a strange taste and chip were not edible. I will order again as everyone has an off night but when spending £25 on a takeaway you want it to be at lease edible. Hope you can sort the standard out because if I was to receive another order like this I would not be returning.

Order was early and the food was 10/10 I must say, the chips were delicious and they listen too the notes too highly recommend !

A much improved old school chip shop. Bad reviews seem to be from the online order services. If possible, pop in yourself as the food is fresh and great quality with fast, efficient service. Will be back

I ordered a Donna meat in a pitta but when it arrived I didn't get it to then have a notification saying they removed it from my order

Good food, not quite hot enough though, this was only due to burst water pipe on a certain road. No fault of delivery driver or chip shop.

really disappointed order every week because as new customers it's great but not for the 3rd time food and portions really poor, missing 2 items to. so time to find somewhere else

Don't get me wrong the food is fantastic but the service was crap had to wait 40 mins for fish and chips this was when the owners was on holiday some months back and the staff was so disorganized with cooking and takeaway.

They stop cooking food at 8pm so when I got there at 9pm I had to make do with food that had been sat there for quit a while, the chips were fine but the chicken had gone rubbery and dry at the edges, the batter on my sons batterd sausage was rock hard and the curry sauce had gone very gloopy it was to late to go back but I called in the next day to complain, I was told quit rudely that if I want fresher food to come in earlier. I was shocked at this response and that they think it's OK to serve food that is not fit to be consumed, I'll just take my business somewhere elce.

Small portions, back to Highfield or Petes pan, large cod a lot smaller than it used to be!

Used to come here occasionally a few years back and it was just your average chippy (not bad). More recently, I would say it's one of the best chippies in the area. Only get fish and chips from here, but both are consistently excellent. All the family rate it. Not sure what changed and when, but worth checking out.

Terrible fish and chips. Chips was overcooked, and the fish tasted like birds' eyes frozen fish but extra oily.

Was highly recommended this food spot. Was told the chicken donner was the dime! Came and ordered 3 mix pitta meals, 1 came with an ever so slight amount of chicken donner, with the other 2 full of lamb donner only. Workers seemed like they were under a lot of stress making orders when we were the only customer and even then had to wait over 30 mins for this ‘fresh chicken donner’ that we didn’t receive. Food was ready 30 mins later once we opened the food it was too late to go back as we had already waited so long and had gotten off. Very disappointed. Most likely won’t be coming again.

very very poor quality chicken was dry and extremely over cooked wouldn't burger was nice but chips and sausage were greasey and went in the bin with the chicken wouldn't order again unfortunately

Lovely Chip Shop which I have been coming to For years for our Friday night treat. Our favourite are the chicken stripes which are lovely In pitta bread…. The Friday night staff are lovely Too. Keep Up The good work !

Sometimes the food is nice. Sometimes not nice which has been the case lately. Overall I think the quality has gone downhill. This time the chips were not fresh ever so slightly warm and hard, they did not follow the instructions/ note I left and gave the wrong drink with my meal.

Visited at lunch times, had mini fish chips and peas. Soooo tasty and chips had just been cooked. Really good food at even better prices! Highly recommend. Sat outside Trittiford park to eat it on a sunny day

Donna, kebab was very cold had all the dry outside of the kabab no fresh Donna in it pitta bread wasn’t very good . Fish was good .

Every week I get my dinner from you ; last week I mentioned the chicken was hard dry & so the same this week but even worse there was hardly any chicken it was all bone the fish & chips where cold & very dry the fish seemed as if it had been cooked for a couple of days ;

Chicken was completely stale - on par with chicken that had been left out at lunchtime

First time ordering food very hot seemed very fresh and portion size of the food is massive very good value will order again

I have a takeaway from your chip shop most weeks , but the SFC is not always very nice , but today it was awful the portion I had really did not have any meat on it , & the skin was as hard as the road even my dog turned her nose up & would not eat it

The burger and chips meal was average. The chips were not crispy enough, and the burger was average. The overall taste was just okay.

Have been visiting here for years and tonight I had the most awful service. Most of the staff ignore you whilst they’re having their own party. I asked if there were fresh chips coming out, a response from someone who wasn’t serving me was, we’re busy, they are fresh and was extremely rude to me. Really disappointing, this new bunch of staff need replacing. Management clearly need to pay more attention to the way their longstanding customers are spoken to.

Quick visit for sausage and chips to take away, the staff were friendly and the food was served quickly. It was an average sausage and chips for taste, the ketchup was a bit odd but.

Scabby chips soggy batter. Roes was over cooked and dry. Curry sauce is good.

Chips were really bad. In the past the chips were great but gone down hill will not be coming again second time.

Chips came and they were all black and green all the scraggy ends of the chips. And had to leave half of the food...

This is the third time the have given rotten chips, the fish was stale and the chef and staff were very rude, he seemed to have found it funny, so we will see how funny it is when I get there. After years of ordering from this place, I will not be going their again. This place should be down-graded for food hygene. Will be going back for a full refund.

I've never had to complain about this place before, but my kebab is pure grissel, massively thick chunks of burnt donner. Very disappointed.

Bought fish and chips and curry sauce, pickle onions and 2 scallops .............. mmmmmmm Cod was absolutely lovely, and fresh.............. Will definitely order from here again, portions are huge enough for two. Staff polite and friendly. Premises lovely and clean. The prices are great..........

Always order from here always lovely food but today the chips were hard not suitable for the grandkids aged 3 and 4. They could not eat them so kept fish warm while I chucked some frozen chips in the fryer

Food arrived on time and hot good portion sizes

All the food was nearly cold, for the second time running. It's unacceptable and the restaurant should be censored for poor service. It's not a one off. I have a photo of the food showing evidence of the temperature of the food.
