Kind of says what it says on the tin. Several fast food outlets and shops, all more expensive than the high street alternatives as is the fuel but they have a monopoly on motorway users and take full advantage of it. As long as you're aware of this the services are fine

One of the cleanest services I’ve been in big respect to the staff who clean the tables they are so on the ball and the place is spotless and they deserve some praise the coach parking here isn’t great only about three spaces and they are not next to each other they are horizontal but close to door and picnic tables next to them WHSmith has lots of choice and it’s cosy welcoming and location is ideal stop before heading up or down country Tons of spaces for Lorry’s too

Has the usual franchise "chains", but the Waitrose shop is good & there's space to walk your dog too.

Nice clean services. Met a representative from LifeVac anti-choking devices. Lots of room to see it in action undisturbed, with nice coffee to drink.

It's a service station in the UK. Overpriced, soulless but has the basic facilities you need. Plenty of parking and a selection of places to eat.

Only used toilet and was hit with the smell shit soon as you walk through door. Maybe get the extraction fans working

No SNAP payment. ViSA or cash only.

Staff weren't very friendly in the restaurants. And the whsmith but otherwise has everything you need to get you back on the road.

What do I want from motorway services? They have to be easy to get in and out of, with no mystery tours taking you miles out of your way to find the entrance or exit. Plainly laid out car parks, not labyrinths. Greenery for stretching the dog's legs, or your own. Decent shops selling decent food. Big clean toilets that don't stink. EV charging points that actually work and have some free slots. Gordano has all these. It's one of my favourite stop-offs, if it's not absurd to have a favourite motorway service area...

Closing all food outlets at 9pm. Because people on long journeys don't need food.

Didn't find it very good for choice, as all the restaurants are expensive.

Ample parking, clean areas and a good selection of shops and food chains. Toilets are clean and plentiful. Only downside was the EV charger as only one was working and it took a while to charge the car after we waited for 40 minutes for the other car to finish charging theirs.

The place is dump had to stop for the coach driver for a rest all food outlets were poor. Very noisy.

More like Unwelcome break !!! If you out stay your welcome here , ie rest for too long , you’ll get a fine for being on the car park too long !! What a complete joke !! £100 or £60 if pain in 14 days !!!! How welcoming is that ?????

These services were as most other service stations are now, standardized and slightly overpriced. A good range of amenities clean and tidy at the time we visited about 10 am. Nice coffee from the machine in the newsagent. More than enough car parking. Just watch you leave the correct exit on the island, as these services aren't a direct access off the motorway

Very clean, lots of shops and takeaways, it's costly

Loads of parking. Toilets are clean and well kept. Plenty of seating indoors and grass embankments for alfresco if the sun is out. Not that much hot food choice, either fast food or sandwiches. Fuel is expensive.

Called in because I was hungry. Found the KFC food place closed, at 5pm! So resorted to a Burger King meal which was tasty, but prices have risen so much recently.

Toilets and star bucks were good But their mouldy ceilings and rubbish options for food it felt like it's getting closed down

Came here on the way to Devon, the food breakfast every time I have had it isn't good and they sometimes forget half the order, so tried subway the guy was like I don't start till 8am so you will have to wait, then it got to 8am and none of the salad or meats where out, the ovens were not at temp either so a shop should be ready for open not preparing to open when already open, waited a lot longer here for subway than I needed to.

Busy motorway services with usual Starbucks KFC , burger king . Also Waitrose and subway.

We stopped here on the way to the airport , we brought hot drinks and cakes. There is plenty of parking here and toilet facilities.

Visited for a toilet stop, on the way back from Devon, exceptionally busy. Struggled to get parking as it was taking about two hours to get through four junctions on the Southbound side.

It had everything I needed for refreshments on an extremely long journey.

Bad service while 4 staff at bk was standing around talking with 9 orders on screen. To a point me and 2 over people I did not know was laughing at them because there was no one moving at all. Fast food taken 20 min for order. And then I got only half a drink. What a joke.

We arrived at 9.25pm to find most of the food outlets on the verge of closing. We just managed to bag the last Kentucky. Not great really, thought these places should be 24hrs.

Dreadful. Half of it not open until 7 am.

A well appointed service station

Worst services on the M5. Horrid to get to, especially when travelling northbound. Traffic is horrendous and the car park is so tight, I'm surprised I didn't see accidents. The entrance has a tiny door right by the toilets so you have hoards of people trying to shuffle past others who are waiting for the toilet. The dining area is filthy. Bridgwater is much better.

Just somewhere to put our heads. The staff were really friendly and attentive. The hotel was full, so busy. Weather was horrendous but no Aircon or fan so we melted unfortunately, but it did what we needed.

Toilet floors covered in urine and 1 hour wait for food then it came out incorrectly

Quick stop for a coffee and a little rest on the way back form cornwall. I have to say, the car park is a decent size. There aren't many shops, but the toilets were really clean and well maintained, well done! You don’t find many stations with such a clean modern fresh look.

Needed EV charge after battling lots of traffic on M5. Services were full but only one of the chargers were working so was a queue for the other one. Took over 2hrs before we could start our journey again.

Hi Welcome Break, Thanks for asking. It's mainly the people speeding in the car park. Vigorously using blue badge and family parking when they are clearly not of that group. Same people barging through the too narrow entrance like idiot cattle. The seating chairs in an absolute state (looks apocalyptic). And the blaring "adverts" in the dining area, of which one only hears the announcement chime blaring but no speech, that deregulatied it is. Toilets ok. Food ok. Shops ok.

Good services. Has what you need but avoid on a bank holiday!

Ideal for a break on your journey a fuel available 24 hours. Some of the food outlets seem to close early evening which is frustrating if you want a hot snack later in the day. You can get snacks and sandwiches from the newsagents, but they aren't cheap, but I suppose that's pretty standard at a motorway services.

All food outlets close at 9.30pm. Only sandwiches/ meal deals from the shop are available after that.

Not clean very untidy and the food lacks quality for the money. I am sorry, but you answer is not good enough to justify the awful food served to us by KFC. People pay to have fresh food and KFC does not serve fresh food at the time of our custom. Now you review shows what kind of people operate at this particular service station.

No where to eat late at night apart from getting a sarnie from news agents. Maybe something else a bit more filling later on an evening

It's OK but we were really disappointed by the lack of gluten free options for my son, who is Coeliac. The Waitrose had plenty of special stuff for vegans, but nothing GF except for some pretzels and some nature bars, for example.

We stopped there for refreshments and to stretch our legs, travelling to Ilfracombe by coach

Severely understaffed outlets meant that our wait for a KFC meal was over an hour. There wasn't enough staff for what was predictably going to be a busy summer holiday travel day. Poor management and needs improvement for peak times.

Charging points out of commission

Absolutely hectic. Rushed in here to do my business and the toilets are badly labelled. Ended up in a disabled toilet that looked like a ward. Most anxious I've ever been in a public toilet before. The services prices are as extortionate as ever.

VERY busy service stop but a good place to walk the dog in a journey break. Walk to "dog hill" into the trees and then through a maize field!

Nothing better than boiling shower on hot day ! Why can we not set the temperature by ourselves, drivers are treated like animals. 2 months later still no change you litteraly can't stand under the shower because the water is so hot.....

Welcome Break is great, yet poor service for EV drivers. Second year in a row that Gridserve Electric Highway has had one of its two charging stations out of service and covered in a tarpaulin. In the height of summer holidays, leaving families with young children queuing for a charge. @Welcome Break management please sack these charging providers and partner with a provider who can deliver a good service. Not as clean as it seems, one cleaner wipes the tables and throws all the bits of food etc onto the floor, 10 minutes later another cleaner comes round to sweep up but leaves liquid spills for a further cleaner. On the plus side. The toilets were spotless. Normal shops, subway, burger king, KFC whsmiths, etc. Be aware, though, when Subway assistants are making sandwiches, the chicken is right next to the tuna, any chicken that falls into the tuna tub is just picked out.The tuna tub is not removed. Not very nice for vegetarians.

Showers at £35 with a meal 😱 I have to add, I got mis lead with information provided. Showers are actually free if you are not stopping over. They are well maintained and clean. A very good service

Another standard motorway services on the M5. Service at Starbucks was pretty decent. Good drinks at WHSmith and loads of other things you would find at a motorway services. It is really spacious and there's even a hill next to the car park. Overall, same motorway services experience as other services around
