Wei Fung in Peterborough

Just had a delicious take away from here for dinner with my husband. Staying for a few days locally and passed this play on side street so thought we would treat ourselves. We had the vegi set menu, with an additional veg dish and a meat dish think it was 36 pounds. It was huge and could have easily fed two more people (left overs tomorrow !). It was great quality lovely fresh veg and with a bit of crunch left in it. Hidden gem!

The good is always lovely but the service can be questionable. Delivery can often be late. So for example your told an hour delivery at 6pm and at 7.30pm you call the chase delivery to ge told 10 mins, not left the building yet so obviously questionable. However colleague polite on the end of the phone but equally condescending. More focus required on honest delivery times and higher levels of customer service when delivery is much later than expected.

Just had a takeaway from Wei Fung in the centre of Peterborough. The food is excellent; really flavorsome, and the prices are very reasonable. I paid between £5 and £6 for a large meal. The spare ribs with special Peking sauce were to die for! They also have recession-buster sharing menus. You get free prawn crackers and their delivery service is very efficient. I wouldn't use any other Chinese takeaway restaurant in Peterborough!

Ordered a large take away which was delivered very quickly, however the food was stone cold. The duck was dry and the chicken satay was hard and not edible. Out of an order of 5 dishes only the rice was walm. After speaking to the manager and sending the food back she refused a full refund as they said "We can only re-use the food that wasn't opened". In these COVID times I was shocked that they would even consider using this food again. How many other people have had this food before me!

I ordered 3 dishes and had asked for a half portion of king prawn balls meaning 5 king prawn balls. They charged my card with 5 full orders of 10 king prawn balls meaning 50 king prawn balls! When I explained the error and told them it was just for one person. They refused to give me just the quantity I wanted and refused to refund my money. I have just moved to Peterborough and would have continued to use this takeaway however their arrogance and money grabbing means I will have to avoid forever. Avoid them unless you want to get ripped off.

Had a takeaway tonight. The duck and pork was very fatty and the two people who ate the takeaway became ill later on in the evening. Ring them to inform them and they didn’t want to listen.

Good selection on the menu - Not just the norm. Always on time, friendly front counter, good size meals, reasonable on price, Not great for parking, this is a down point due to the area.

Great Chinese. We always buy from Wei Gung. I highly recommend the hot and sour soup ....... very good!

Food was very late. and tasted like it had been sat in a car for an hour. Never received the bottle of coke that was paid for. will not be returning.

Rice was way too stodgy.. As was the beef, the cashew nuts were soggy and not crunchy. Prawn crackers were dripping in oil. The only saving grace was the soup was pretty good. Otherwise a pretty poor meal.

absolutely awful service!! it took 2 hours to deliver! my kids were starving by the time it was finally delivered by an extremely rude driver! The restaurant couldn't get hold of the driver to find out where he was. they gave us £5 off for being late but we had to argue with the driver and call the restaurant so they could speak to him!! food was just about warm enough to be edible but the chips were vile. I usually love this place but they have just lost a regular customer!

Asked for no mushrooms / prawns. They gave me both. Delivery was over 1 hour. In-fairness when I rang them up and said they made a mistake they came with a new one. Hassle free

This is the worst Chinese restaurant in Peterborough! Their chicken balls were vile, oily, full of chicken scraps. Customer service is a joke, worker over the phone stated that it was our problem because their food was rubbish? Her attitude was disgusting. How is this okay to treat customers, I was appalled by their service. They have now lost faithful customers.

Ordered 2 hours in advance but food was late and not very warm. Poor quality lots of fat in pork balls some were just fat, soggy prawn crackers and dubious chicken in chow mein. Such a shame we have had some fab meals from here.

Ordered for 7.50. They added 10 minutes onto the delivery time which was absolutely fine. Then they delivered half hour early right whilst I was in the middle of trying to get my baby to sleep and my husband wasn't home yet (which is why I ordered for 7.50 in the 1st place). By the time my husband got home and we were ready to eat the food had gone cold so I ended up cooking after all. Not impressed to say the least

Mmmm... food was great, and I think I will order from there again... but the rating system bothers me. The delivery was 30 mins early, but that was after the initial delivery time was extended by 25 mins... so really delivery was 5 mins early.

Arrived 2 hours after ordering, called to ask where my food & was told to wait 10 more minutes. Asked to speak to manager but was refused at first then was told he didn't speak English. I then asked to make a complaint as two hours is too long to wait, I was told I need to complain to just eat instead. I complained to just eat and they called the take away, the take away refused to give a refund & in the end gave me a £5 voucher!! I refused to accept as I will never be ordering from here again. After all this the food turned up and was soggy, over cooked and dry. Given 1 star as there is no choice for 0 stars

Really unhappy with delivery time. Was told delivery would be 45-60 minutes. Once that time had passed I checked to find you had added an extra 20 minute time slot to my delivery making estimated delivery time 23.05 now , got a text saying it was on route at 22.53 and still no sign of it being delivered now at 23.20! Really unhappy!!

Really good food, especially as the minimum order is fairly low, which is particularly good for single people.

Excellent food, have really missed having Chinese, didn't disappoint in any way whatsoever 😁 all was perfect, we loved it! Order was for collection, ready on time and even got a text saying it was ready to be collected. Staff very polite, friendly and still up for silly jokes at the end of a long shift, much better than some 😁 Thanks Wei Fung x

This was the first time I have used Wei Fung Chinese and from the reviews I had high hopes. However, the special mixed platter was a bit limp and tasteless. I was expecting great things from the crispy duck as it came in one piece rather than shredded which is always a disappointment. The duck was very dry, not crispy and over cooked which was not as I had hoped. I won't use this chinese again as there are other restaurants in Peterborough which are a lot better. I can confirm that my dog was a big fan of the tough duck though so nothing was wasted!

Asked for chicken curry with out veg due to intolerance with onion. Curry came with veg so couldnt eat it.

It was supposed to arrive at 22:55 but arrived 20 minutes earlier. Food was hot and very good. Now my boyfriend is in a food coma haha. Will definitely order from here again!

Quick delivery, really polite delivery driver, but bland food, no flavour, meat cooked to cremation. Not enjoyable by local standards!

It took over TWO hours and multiple phone calls to deliver the food to my place. When it finally arrived it was nothing special. I was at least hoping some complementary appetiser but they didn't even bother to do that.

Delivery guy very rude, swearing F... off blá-blá-blá I was speachless how rude he was, I have been a faithful customer other every week and this is what I get!? Manager need to do something about this guy otherwise you will loose customers. Not happy at all.

DISGUSTING!! Waited over 1 hour and 30 minutes for cold slop!! Words can't describe how foul the food was!! It all ended up in the bin. Avoid!!!!!

The driver was rude to my husband, 1) he was on the phone to someone whilst delivering our order he said "no awnser door?" After we had already wrote on the notes in capital letters that the buzzer was broken so call when they turn up. My husband replys "the buzzer is broken we did leave a note on the order to say call" 2) he then walks off and swears and starts talking in his language. His attitude was completely out of order. He must of seen note to get my number to call to say he was there after ringing buzzer.

Found down a narrow Rd after looking on GPS. Friendly welcome and not too long a wait. Very busy with phone orders.

Food was a little later than expected but arrived hot and the delivery guy was polite and pleasant. This is the second time I have ordered from Wei Fung and both times the meal has been excellent, had the Thai green curry this time, very hot but full of flavour. Will definitely recommend Wei Fung to my friends.

When i placed the order eta was 19.55 . When Wei Fung replied confirming the order it was going to be 20.25. I rang when this time passed and was told the driver had left. He did arrive some 10 mins later.

This time the order was not delivered on time..

Dry food. Bland. Good timing on delivery. Only plus.

Took an hour and twenty minutes. Once the food was there it was a mix of dishes which seemed was cooked when I ordered and ones that was just finished as they left. I think if they hadn't of spoiled then they may have been nice but who knows.

Food arrived 25 minutes late. It was still hot, but had 10 mins to eat before going out! The pork balls tasted fishy - although were pork and very fatty. The chicken chow mein tasted and smelt funny and the lemon chicken was like cardboard. Not happy - won't be ordering again.
