Decepcionante, este lugar ha estado bajando lentamente por algunos meses. Nos dimos cuenta de que uno de nuestros miembros había recibido una copa de vino sucia. Cuando la devolvió le dijeron que no era suciedad, que eran manchas del lavavajillas y que no podía tener un vidrio limpio. Entonces vimos que la mayoría de nuestros vasos también estaban sucios. Esto ha inspirado a nuestro grupo a buscar un lugar diferente para nuestros almuerzos después de años de ir al Black Horse.

Estafa de aparcamiento, estafa de aparcamiento, . Fui con mis amigos a comer, estacionado en la bahía diciendo estacionamiento de caballos negros para los costumbristas de caballos negros. Estacionó y recibió una multa la próxima semana. Y nadie me dijo que tenía que pagar. A la semana siguiente volví con amigos. Acabo de recibir el primer aviso de cargo por estacionamiento y espero otro aviso la próxima semana. Son 150 libras. Por ir a comer al caballo negro. Qué estafa. Pls consejo sobre lo que debo hacer ahora. Gracias

Asqueroso, sin servicio de mesa, por ejemplo, limpiar mesas de platos de comida. Clientes haciéndolo solos. Trasladar platos sucios a otras mesas cargadas de comida. Sentado mirando y esperando autorización. 1 hora más

Me quejo cuando es necesario y elogio cuando es debido. No habría venido aquí pero mi prometido quería caminar, beber, comer, así que. Qué mejora del 1000% en mi última visita y revisión. Bonita tarde soleada, así que me senté fuera y pedí a través de la aplicación, (bebidas solo bien miramos la comida) Estoy impresionado, llegué en 4 minutos, exactamente como se pidió. Después de las primeras bebidas tiempo para pedir comida, y bien hecho, llegó en menos de 8 minutos, caliente, comestible, y agradable de mirar, chef bien hecho, la presentación se nota !! . Scampi y curry, todo muy bonito. Comida, bebidas, agradable entorno exterior, y disfrutado. Bien hecho y gracias.

Nice pub, we chose a Spoons not close to where we live just to try a different one. Food was nice as is usual for a Spoons, service was great too. However.....we just today 9th May received a parking fine as we didn't register our vehicle when we got there. I assume there is signage to advise customers of this, but clearly we didn't see it and no one mentioned it to us (of course) so now 3 weeks later we have a fine. I have contested it and have sent proof of our visit (thank the lord for ordering via the app!) so hopefully the fine will be removed. I'd recommend checking reviews before going and looking around everywhere for signs to say you need to register your vehicle otherwise you will get a fine too. I'll update here if the fine is or isn't removed.

Typical of the branding of Withaspoon, cheap and well you get what you pay for. Nice sunny day out for a stroll thaught pint and snack. Found me a table, ordered via the app order received at 13:41. 14:10 I stop a waiter and ask where the order is, replied " I know what happened to that" 14:12 delivered to table, cold halloumi, and no salad. I also know what happened to it, grilled and left on the side for 29 minutes getting cold. The standard of management in the place did not think to apologise and cook a new one but thought it acceptable to serve up cold, late,meal. As I started about par for course for this type of dump. Do yourself a favour and find somewhere else.

I should start by saying I’m a big Wetherspoon’s fan and will try and search them out if I’m in the area. The food was standard Wetherspoons fare which means for the money and standard it was very good. You cannot go wrong for Fish and chips and a cuppa under £11 What I really liked about the Black Horse was the wonderful community feel about the place. Everyone seemed to know everyone and it was a great feeling in the pub. The staff were very friendly. Overall a great place which I would happy visit again.

Best chips I’ve had in a while, amazing customer service. The kids really enjoyed. Would definitely recommend, good value for money

Passed this pub so many times, so took advantage whilst doing some Christmas shopping. Glorious building, with a large bar and separate dining room. Had to order from the bar, and this was a bit slow, but once done, the food came quickly and was delicious. Really enjoyable experience.

Had Fish and chips usually excellent, not today though!! maybe better next time . I also noticed how empty the dining areas were

Just terrible , nothing in stock then asked for an alternative I chose them out of stock again happened about 3 times the same thing 5 members of staff trying to fix one simple issue ended up loosing 20 pound and no product honestly say it was one of my worse days what a joke.

I have been here many, many times, either breakfast, lunch or dinner. On this ocassion it was a celebratory birthday meal for 12 people. I'm sure it must be difficult to co-ordinate 12 meals to appear simultaneously and precisely cooked. I didn't get chance to check with the other members of the party but unfortunately my 10oz gammon was desperately overcooked and took me a while to eat and digest as it was so dry. Previous visits on the whole have been fine, but this time they missed the mark as far as I'm concerned. It's a tight margin I know when trying to co-ordinate so many meals but practise should make perfect 🤔

Came here for dinner on a Friday evening. Car park signs say 3 hours maximum for customers but no mention of needing to register car inside, nor any mention by staff inside. If there is somewhere to register inside this is not sufficiently prominent in what is a large pub. Signage refers to 'terms and conditions' but you'd need to be a lawyer or detective to find these. Car park fine cancelled by car park company but wasted my time having to provide evidence. Atmosphere inside and outside the pub also felt threatening. My nephew, who goes to quite a rough secondary school, was too scared to go to the toilet!

Horrible parking signage, no mentions from staff, exploitative parking scheme. A shame the entire experience was ruined by something that could be so easily fixed by a couple signs and policy changes.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! - Parking Ticket Hotspot - Not clearly displayed. I turned up here in a bit of rush to grab something for tea before the kitchen closed. It was dark and raining/damp and nothing looked out of the ordinary. Then I receive a PCN through the post a few weeks later for £75. Will never ever go near this place again. Absolute joke!!!

The drinks and food were very good but there was new parking restrictions since my last visit from Scotland.I was being driven as I had major hip replacement surgery and couldn’t drive . It was dark when we arrived and nobody noticed the signage. When in the pub it was a typical Friday very busy and noisy and yet again nobody noticed any sinage or a booking in terminal. The most annoying thing was that when being served at the bar the bar person,did not remind us if we had parked in the car park we must book in on the terminal. I appealed the fine to euro car parks who rejected my appeal even though I sent a copy of my sick line and receipts for food and beverages. This spoiled a great first night out after my recovery. We will go back as all else was very good. Remembering to book the car in to the car park. If they take me to court I will tell the court that the money that they charge for nothing.that they should employ a parking attendant giving someone a job and a human touch to the parking regulations.

Popped in to meet a few friends for a drink and catch up. We decided to have something to eat. We ordered chicken wings and one cheesy chips and a plain chip. The food came fairly quickly it was well cooked and piping hot just the way we like it

A group of us went to the pub after a funeral for food. The food was poor even for a Wetherspoons. The service was poor, quite rude in fact when they gave us someone else's meals and we said we didn't order that they just placed the food down and said well someone did and walked off, then coming back and removing it and giving it someone else on another table. A week later we got a parking fine for using the pubs car park, I phoned and the first thing they said is there are signs, no one in our group saw the sign saying you need to enter your details at the machine in the bar, neither did any of the staff point this out. We did send the receipt in and this was delt with very quickly and our fine was cancelled but l feel looking at all the other complaints that something need to be done to stop this happening like simply the staff saying when you arrive and order food to make sure you log your reg at the machine.. Its ok saying there are signs but who looks at ever advertising sign and thats what it looked like

Hi I paid you a visit on Tuesday 21st Feb 2023 and I really fancied trying out your pancakes (off your dessert menu) for the first time. First up you had NO syrup NOR vanilla ice cream on pancake day. The pancakes were really bland. Disappointed “to say the least” after paying nearly £5. Beware Parking Ticket ScamShame on Wetherspoons. Our breakfast visit and our desire to write well of the service food and ambiance are totally overshadowed by the £45 parking fine received by post out of the blue today. This is a scam. Inadequate warning signs. No staff guidance at any point in time. Shame on a customer oriented company like Wetherspoons for being a participant in this shoddy scam.

People allowed to move tables. Tables then not cleaned. 1 person flirted between 4 tables and nothing done. Standing and moving without masks. Reservation of tables ahwhat- even when wedsite says you don't have to. ( UNFARE).

Be aware of the parking scam in this establishment. Wetherspoons aren’t interested at all, the management don’t want to know over the phone and claim that signage is present and adequate but based on the number of people complaining on here; it patently isn’t.If they do nail you with a parking ticket; my advice is to either pay off the initial fine or set your stall out to play the long game and ignore the threatening letters from Euro car parks and their ‘debt collecting’ henchmen. Otherwise you could end up stitched up for £140 like me.

I think the pub must have upped its game since the last reviews. There are signs warning about the car park charges and a member of staff came to our table and checked whether we had registered our car. You practically have to walk around the Track and Trace forms to get in the pub and to be fair it is everyone's responsibility to fill it in. The staff are very busy because they have to carry everything to your table and yet they appear very cheerful and efficient. It took about 10 minutes to get a drink and the meal came in about 30 or 40 minutes. They do have an App which may make ordering quicker. The building is large with high ceiling and the front door was left open giving reasonable airflow. The prices in Wetherspoons are very reasonable and the quality is good. During these difficult times I think they are making a valiant attempt at a normal pub dining experience.

Ended up in area where 3 tables mixed talking around barriers. Staff doing nothing. People in restaurant area moving out due to them. Moving chairs, tables and standing without masks. Staff allowing them to multi interactive ordering and drinking.

Dismayed to receive a paking ticket from euro car parks despite the car park sign stating 'for patrons' of the Black Horse. Also told by staff member 'not to worry' about track and trace details.

Food was average for a Wetherspoons, staff seem to forget they have customers because they’re loud and rude. Constantly slagging off customers that have been in before and moaning about who gets to go on a break first. Just disappointed with the staff being disrespectful.

I agree with many on this site that the parking arrangements / notices are inadequate. There is an obvious problem and staff could do more to tell customers when ordering.

Visited here the other day. Popular pub serving the community of Northfield. Safety procedures were in place. Staff work hard to meet demand. Nice to sit outside nice weather. Eaten here few times food ok.

Ibamos a llevar a una amiga a almorzar y este lugar fue su elección. Nunca habíamos comido allí antes. En el lado positivo, este pub tiene buenas precauciones de Covid, y el personal es agradable y servicial: le preguntaron a mi esposo si había venido en automóvil y si había ingresado su número. Ya lo había hecho, pero después de leer las dificultades que las personas han encontrado con las multas, es una buena práctica informar a los clientes.Las raciones son generosas, el bistec no era mediano como se pidió, pero lo suficientemente tierno. El crumble de manzana estaba bien. Después de hacer cola para ordenar en el mostrador, la comida llegó bastante rápido.Eso es lo más justo que puedo decir porque el pub, en mi opinión, es realmente monótono por dentro, deprimente y bastante desaliñado con mesas rayadas. Era como un granero y extremadamente ruidoso, y parecía más un pub de bebedores que un pub restaurante. El desaliñado hace que parezca que necesita una buena limpieza. I had a drink here and 2 weeks later received a parking fine of £75 from Euro Car Parks for a twenty minute stop. TOBY Restaurants use the same car parking company but have turned off the registration machines since LOCKDOWN. Likewise Aldi. Black Horse management have deliberately located their machine where no one waits to be served and it is hidden from view. Social media shows that many people have been caught out by what is obviously blatant theft. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS,

I was in here for 40 minutes a couple of weeks ago and have since received a parking fine. Spoke to management who will do nothing about this for us, very rude staff claiming it's very obvious and you can see where you need to enter your reg. Interesting as there is no advertisements about this anywhere in the pub and the bar staff said nothing of this. Will be going in again to take pictures of the place so they can see how well they "advertise it". Will not be spending my money in here again however rest assured. Apparently this has been up for a whole year, when I went in December I got no parking ticket so your managers are not only incompetent but they are also lying. Head office are useless to helping with this. Is this wetherspoons way of making money back after a loss due to Covid? Would not surprise me.

Arrived with my partner to have a breakfast, being a vegetarian I know that Wetherspoons generally cater well for veggies. Went to order to be told that they are not serving vegetarian breakfasts at the moment! I completely understand about a limited menu etc. but how hard is it to cook a few veggie sausages? If you're thinking of visiting this pub with the car don't bother. I nipped in to get a coffee and use the facilities which cost me dearly. There was a wake taking place so the car park was quite full and the pub was heaving. I checked for signage but it was very scant and unclear where it was present. After spending just over half an hour there, I was dismayed to receive a parking ticket through the post a few weeks later and therein increasingly threatening letters from the parking company and their cronies. As I payed cash I had no proof of purchase, there was no signage within the pub to suggest you needed to register your car although I'm not sure this is even how it works after a telephone call to the pub achieved very little. The lady I spoke to had zero interest at all in providing any assistance and just wanted to deflect all the blame onto the parking company. After reading subsequent reviews it evidently appears that the signage has been improved and replaced although this is scant consolation with me now receiving snotty letters. Quite ironic really that a company run by a staunch Brexiteer who's ethos is to provide great service and value for it's customers should be selling out to a company called Euro Car Parks who's only interest lays in fleecing the public. Come on Tim Martin i know you've got bigger issues now but surely this isn't the Wetherspoons way, loaning out your car park to these sharks and allowing them to prey on your customers.

By far the most lovely waitress. Shes been so lively and chatty and friendly all night whilst we were having a goss. Paige is an absolute credit in this pandemic. Co ro no she didn’t yasss gurr give her a raise shantay you stay. 😆😆

Local to shopping centre and near to buses, plenty of car parking on the front.met up with friends for a coffee before hitting the shops,the staff are lovely and very helpful and you can have a good laugh with the people in there.dif not eat this time so can't comment on food

Called in for the first time to his Wetherspoon pub a couple of weeks ago, parked in the disabled bay near the entrance. The only sign regarding parking I noticed was at the white one at the entrance, it stated there was a two hour parking limit. I received a parking charge from Euro Car Parks stating my car was parked without authorisation according to thee terms and conditions in the signage. I returned to the pub to fined the entrance signage had been change, I went into the bar and found there were now printed signs advising clientele to register there registration. I appealed the charge as I had proof of purchase of a meal at the time I was parked, fortunately my appeal was successful but be warned

If you want steak don’t bother to go here. Terrible and when complained was told ‘We can’t cook rare steaks’ That’s what the kitchen said. So why not say so when you order? I left hungry

No volveré a ir allí, es una trampa de estafa de estacionamiento, vas a tomar una copa y comer con amigos como yo, pero sin buscar señal, ¿qué hay de decirle a tu cliente que la política de estacionamiento cambia cuando hacen un pedido en el ¿hasta? ? ? tomó menos de 5 segundos. Además, ¿por qué no les das un recibo cuando pagan en efectivo? ?

Me he estado reuniendo con amigos en el Caballo Negro durante algunos años. Recibí una multa de estacionamiento, aunque ninguno de mis amigos recibió una (y todos llegamos y nos fuimos al mismo tiempo). El gerente del Caballo Negro no ha sido de ninguna ayuda y tengo que pagar ya que no tengo un recibo de caja para mi bebida. Sé con certeza que el gerente podría haber hecho una representación pero claramente no puede ser molestado. No malgastes tu dinero yendo aquí.

I do not like the fact that a man who is dressed as a woman is going into the ladies toilets he could be a pedophile and young children go in there this is a family pub my grandaughter comes with me and she was distraught

14th December 2019 - Coffee machine not working correctly - queue formed and caused delay in getting back to table (without drinks!) resulting in having a cold breakfast. Room was overrun by large group (20-25) on stag breakfast who were extremely noisy.

Just going to say that the food was great it has a relaxed atmosphere depending where u sit. Staff were rude!! It takes a long time to be seen at the bar it took me of 25 minutes to get service. Would not recommend

El Caballo Negro ha sido el favorito de la familia durante muchos años, con entre 20 y 30 de nosotros reuniéndonos para nuestra gran familia en Navidad, algunos viajando desde varias millas de distancia. La comida siempre es buena y el personal muy acogedor, amable y servicial, aunque están muy ocupados.

Went for a quick bite to eat, food was good but the parking fine wasn't the following week. So beware don't forget to sort out the payment for parking in the pub car park or you quick meal will end up very expensive

I go a lot of times most weekends with my family and because it is near to my house and have parking space and very good food beautiful and nice place to my daughter like a lot and to my wife like most when is winter to seat close to the fire and have a very good ref Vine. For myself and my family is very good in everything...!!!

I came here on saturday 27th with my mom,sister and 10month son i went to order my food to table 16 but had to make 2 seprate orders i was told there is a 20min wait on food and said no problem once i made the 1st order i realised i made a mistake and asked could i change something a deal i had seen on a poster behind the bar (which was not on the menu) i was told no i was shocked as i hadnt left the bar or even made my 2nd order as of yet so i asked to speak to someone in charge and a man came over who was wearing a green shirt didn't look smart and was very rude and told me i can't have a refund and can't change my order i was in disbeliefe that i was recieving this service in a local weather spoons to me that i use regular i got my money back and left the premises but i will be sure not to eat or drink there again,the manors on both employees i spoke to was awful.

It’s a spoons, we all know what to expect! Cheap and easy. Standards are always ok. Not impressed with the bar lately tho. Waiting 20 -25 mins to get served is annoying. Bar wasn’t particularly busy - needs more faster staff on to accommodate.

Wow I can’t believe some of the bad reviews on here,sounds like another planet..obviously I will take the the poor reviews at face value but I must admit my experience was different.My cousin brought me there for breakfast,the food was delivered in good time was good breakfast tasty and nice.Unlimited refills coffee tea etc,I found it ver good.

I know it's in Northfield and I know it's a spoons but there is no reason this building shouldn't be looked after and ran properly. They're proud to boast about the history of the building but it's dirty, toilets are absolutely rancid without a single locking cubicle. I'm assuming wetherspoons don't make enough money to buy new toilet door locks or staff to clean them. The staff are slow behind the bar and not happy to be there. As said on other reviews you get more care if you are a regular. Poorly run.

Myself my mom and dad my daughter and her partner and my son decided to have lunch here OMG DONT BOTHER the staff don't acknowledge you unless you are a regular the food is beyond disgusting pure microwave within an inch of its life food that's left ages before being bought out so it's like warm no one bothered to do a check back to see if the food was ok cause they don't care and what I can only presume was the manager nearly tripped one of her staff up because she was lying flat out behind the bar on her back because she said her back hurt HORRIFIC FOOD HORRIFIC CUSTOMER SERVICE just your typical drinkers pub.

This is the second time we have had to complain about the food at the Black Horse and we won't be eating here again.

Cuando finalmente conseguimos nuestras bebidas, estaban bien, no hay quejas reales aquí y eran bastante baratos.

I have ate or drank at this pub more than 5 times (family or friends go there). Staff are extremely rude and fail to cater to customer needs. I have seen on numerous occasions the same girl (short, middle-eastern looking with black glasses) sitting down doing nothing in the back area near where food comes from, regardless of whether I needed someones attention, someone shouldn't be spending their time at work sitting down and/or on their phone.

La falta de condimentos disponibles no indicaba tazas para las bebidas calientes recargables que se habían pedido, por lo que se entregaron vasos de papel. Tenía el desayuno tradicional - frijoles fríos y hash browns duro. En el lado positivo, el servicio era rápido y el personal agradable.

Otro fantástico desayuno cocinado a la perfección.

My first time in the Black Horse since 1961. Now a Wetherspoons and the interior sort of matches the clientele, which is predominately single males over a certain age. Service at the bar was the usual, a bit hit and miss trying to get served in turn. Didn't see anyone eating, so cannot comment on the food. Can't see the Wetherspoons phone app working in the Black Horse. No staff. Overall opinion was that it was scruffy and not the sort of place I would choose to dine with my partner. All in all not a venue I would return to.

Me, my dad and my partner went for breakfast on Sunday and it won’t be happening again! I went up to the bar to order food and the way I was spoken to by the lady behind the bar was disgraceful. Rude and unprofessional. I ordered pancakes with bacon and when my breakfast came out it was missing bacon...when I told the guy that brought my food out, he replied with ‘go and talk to the person you ordered with.’ I didn’t as there was a massive queue and didn’t want to have to eat breakfast at different times to the people who I came with so didn’t get the bacon. The breakfast was average by far and the service was terrible, do not recommend.

Table for 9 people booked for 80th birthday meal on Saturday 9th March. Table situated at rear of restaurant, very dark, needed to use phone torch to read menu. 4 meals o.k.3 sub-standard and 2 non existent! Doorman approached table and stated that as 2 guests were aged 16, they would have to leave at 9pm, even though meal not served until 8.30pm.Manager over-ruled but all guests made to feel uncomfortable. Delays caused by a number of ordered meals not being available. These consisted of basic items such as soup, fish and mixed grills which are not exactly exotic. Rules regarding admission should be displayed clearly, and more importantly, ,pointed out to those booking by phone. On the plus side, waiting staff were polite and very apologetic for upset caused..

Box standard weatherspoons food, plenty of seating and plenty of half cut red faced blokes stood about drinking beer at ridiculously early hours.

Didn’t know what to expect at this restaurant as had not had good reviews from others. However was pleasantly surprised. The meal was a good price and well cooked. Staff were friendly and the place was clean. Room was a bit open for my taste (prefer small and cosy) but overall was not a bad dining experience.

I rate Wetherspoons and love their menu. Parking at this one is a little difficult at times although Sainsbury Car park is next door. Called in with friend at lunchtime and had mixed grills. Plenty on plate but both overcooked and dry. Steak was a knot of gristle (Dog spent 20 mins chewing it back at home before swallowing it whole) which staff immediately replaced. Not so dry but still a little overcooked for my liking. Staff extremely welcoming and service without fault. Excellent range of beers and ciders. Thatchers ice cold and tasted brilliant, especially as it was included with the meal. Wetherspoons offers consistently good value for money, use them whenever possible. There is bags of choice on the menu.

This Wetherspoons is inside an old Tudor building which is hard to miss from the Bristol Road. Staff was very friendly and was delicious. Will be back again soon.

A big Tudor style pub, built in 1929 & opened the 1st Dec that year.

Es un edificio protegido que ha estado aquí durante años, sus buenas cucharadas lo tomaron ahora y se han salvado. El personal de allí es muy amable y cordial, y es muy servicial, hay todo tipo de comidas disponibles según el día en que tengan ofertas especiales. eres local en los autobuses y en la zona de compras si solo quieres una bebida rápida entre compras, etc.

Sólo tenía un desayuno que era muy agradable y caliente que me gusta. Mi razón para la revisión de hoy es a las chicas en el servicio de mesa. Muy profesional, amable y servicial. Este no siempre ha sido el caso aquí, pero hoy fueron acertados. Bien hecho chicas. Xx

Good food served by friendly staff. Good variety of food and drinks on offer. Didn’t have to wait too long for our order to be taken but unfortunately waited quite a while for the food to appear

El pub del caballo negro ha resistido la prueba del tiempo. Muy grande pub con un piso de arriba y tres - cuatro habitaciones diferentes. Tienes un buen número de locales regulares. Popular para comer. Fuimos en la noche de curry el jueves. El personal parece bastante amable. Todavía estaba la gente ocupada comiendo a pesar de estar más tarde en la noche. Optado por el club de curry. Celebrando la semana nacional del curry. Así que después de mucha deliberación he resuelto con un Wetherspoons. Pollo tikka masala, con pan naan, poppadom regado con una pinta de CARLSBERG 6. 95. Me llené hecho la temperatura de trabajo justo. Volvería de nuevo en un futuro no muy lejano.

Travelling to and from Birmingham taking my daughter to Uni we always stop here .

We are regulars here and always come in for a meal. Just lately the food is taking a nose dive
