Really disappointed. Went to get some chips and sausages for tea. Chips were old and rock hard and not edible. Won’t be making that mistake again. There are better places to go

Not that often we use the chippie for our Saturday night takeaway but on this occasion glad we did.The shop is immaculately clean, plenty of staff and every one of them very pleasant as is the owner who on the times I have visited always takes time to greet you. Anyway, previously had the Doner and Chips in a tray so fancied the same again and it was delicious, plenty of nicely cooked hot chips and so much Doner meat it was enough for 4 people, and a nice bit of fresh salad to top it off. Luckily there aren't 4 people in our house so the wife and I enjoyed every last chip. Well done Waves, nice shop, lovely staff, generous portions and delicious.

This is an incredible fish and chips shop. The pizzas are just.. chef's kiss and they really make a Saturday night fell like a Saturday night. This place is quite near to where we live, so whilst the delivery isn't very good (Uber eats, am I right?), it's really easy for us to just drive there and pick it up. I would definitely recommend this to anyone in the area! Not to mention the friendliness of the workers there!

I don’t have chippy a lot but this is always my go to, fish meaty and decent size, chips good and the guy that runs it is friendly

I’ve come to prefer chips from here than another chip shop I usually frequent and you get a good quantity. Quality is good, nice and soft (although strangely the last ones I had weren’t so great and were also lathered in salt to the point I couldn’t taste the chips, but I’ve put this down as a one off as it’s not usually like that). Good variety of food and the menu and pricing is clear on the blackboards. The guy than runs it is still friendly. There is a very loud lady that serves. She seems to know her stuff but does shout and sing occasionally to the point of awkwardness / intimidation. A new lad has started and he looks like his world is about to end; hands running down his face is despair before carrying on serving chips. Another lad with glasses started a few months back. He was a lovely humorous chap but I haven’t seen him recently. The guy who does pizza doesn’t talk much but also appears to be a lovely guy. And then there’s another bloke and woman I’ve seen working but haven’t really been served by them. So staff are generally good. No issues with service aside from the occasional awkwardness from the girls; although the expected lollies are now handed out much less than they used to, much to the children's dismay. They've also removed the stools so the kids have nothing to sit on when they wait. The table now seems to be dedicated to just eat / Uber type bags. The queues go down quickly which is good and I suppose if you like delivery, the whole Just Eat thing is a good option. Payment is a bit confusing now. Sometimes they accept cash, sometimes it’s card. They sometimes have a sign but hidden slightly behind the till. There is however a cash machine at the COOP nearby. Parking is always available outside. I’d love the give them a 5 but there are improvements I’d make so a 4 it is. I’d still recommend you give it a go, even if just for a bag of chips, a chip batch or a pizza.

Avoid this place if you want a decent chippy dinner. Food horrible and when approached the shop for a refund basically got told they could not give me one. Fish should not be fishy and chips should not look or taste like they have been through a dishwasher

This was the worst garlic bread with cheese I have ever eaten I also had keebab meat that was dry and tasteless never again

Well I brought chips and pie tonight from chip shop and the inside of my pie was freezing cold it made me sick I won't be going there again

We popped in for a couple of kids meal, the food was piping hot and really nice but the best bit about the place is the guy behind the counter who is just lovely, smiley and really helpful

We were really hungry and thought we would try Waves. We had driven past it a few weeks ago and casually mentioned that we should try it. Well, today was the day! We ordered 2 pizzas, chips, and a mixed kebab. One pizza was pepperoni and the other was pepperoni and onion. The toppings were flavourful and the amount of cheese is perfect!!! The pizza is a really good size and for an even better price! The chips were also so tasty!!! Now, let’s talk about the kebab. It was delicious!!! The donner was good, but the chicken was fantastic!! The salad was crisp, cold, and fresh.. exactly how it should be. We have a lot of leftover food in the refrigerator to snack on later and tomorrow. This will be our new takeaway and I will recommend it to everyone. Thank you Waves for a truly delicious dinner! Keep up the good work and I wish you loads of luck through this pandemic and an even brighter future.

Went for dinner last night - the place is absolutely spotless, the portions are huge, the pizzas are the best we have had and the fish was meaty! We are sooo full thank you so much (glad we are only visiting the area far too tempting!!) highly recommend Amazing food - the kebab has done 2 meals there was so much ❤️

If your in the area pop in to Waves the fish and chips are the best in Warwickshire and the rest of the UK We go here once a week and order Cod and Chips served in a box Its delightful and probably the biggest fish you will ever see from a chippy Kebabs are also fantastic the range is good and the Pizzas are very popular Keep up the great work and see you next week

We had our evening dinner from waves today which was closest to our campsite and it was very nice! The wife is vegetarian and there was plenty of choice, she opted for small chips (nice portion size for a small), mushy peas (odd colour but tasty) and battered halloumi. She loved it. I had a large cod and chips and felt stuffed afterwards, very good. If we lived locally it would certainly be our go to chippy!

Excellent chippy and well worth that wait (can be very long on Friday and Saturday nights). Fish and chips are an obvious must but the pizza’s are equally as good, and cooked in an authentic pizza oven. Very polite staff.

Never fails to disappoint. Without a doubt Rugby’s premier fish and chip shop. Looking forward to going again.

Best Chippy around the Bilton and Cawston area. Would never go anywhere else. Very friendly and reasonable.

This is my second favourite chip shop in Rugby and I regularly go there. My daughter prefers the jumbo sausages here compared to our other chip shop and my husband loves the kebabs. Chips are nice. I like softer chips and these are just that. I do find battered sausages have undercooked batter on them, so if ever we fancy one of those, we go elsewhere, but other than that, this place is good. They sometimes run out of burger sauce which is our only real gripe. The man is really friendly. He gives the children lollies which they’ve now come to expect. One of the ladies I do struggle to communicate with (my mixed accent doesnt help either) but the other ladies help out. This chip shop also sells pukka pasties which my other chip shops don’t sell. There is parking outside. They take cash and card. It is next to a chinese and a CoOp which we find handy. I recommend a visit.

Waves was recommended and we were not disappointed. Much more than simple fish and chips. Fresh pizzas are cooked in their own wood-burning pizza oven. Friendly staff. Free parking on site. We will return. Telephone orders taken

Absolutely fantastic service and customer service skills. Portion was brilliant asked for a small but it could of easily been confused as a large. magical prices!! Certainly return when back in location!!

This place has the most friendly staff and does the best pizza in town! Can’t recommend it enough! Every item on the menu is top notch! Get yourself down to waves!

Everything here is cooked to order so nothing is ever cold pizzas are a must to try as they are just the best you really must try this chippy and they are open on sundays

This is a local fish and chip shop for us. It has a pizza oven and we think that the pizzas from here are really tasty - "Waves pizza" is my children's benchmark against which all others are measured! The chips and batter aren't greasy and portions are generous

Called here after reading some of the decent reviews, thought this place looked clean and professional, the lady that served me had a bit of an Issue understanding me & the male owner had to Intervene and gave me a free bottle of cola :) Once home we all agreed that the chips were under cooked soft & mushy and the kebab meats were unusual tasting, sorry but we will not be returning as this place Is expensive and half of It went In the bin !!

The service is fantastic. Really friendly and genuine. The chips taste good and the southern fried chicken is nice. Looking forward to having a pizza on our next visit.

This place is my go-to chip shop simply because all the food is cooked perfectly and tastes amazing. The customer service is brilliant especially from the manager, who never fails to stop and have a conversation with you and brighten your day. 10/10 cannot fault.

Visited for the first time following recommendation from friends. We were not disappointed. The establishment is well organised and service is very efficient. The quality of the food is great. Fish and chips were top class as was the kebabs and pizza. Lots of other choices like deep fried haloumi cheese etc.

Often come here as it’s just down the road from my house. The food is always great and fresh, it’s very popular so they are constantly cooking everything. They’ve recently started doing stone baked pizzas in a special oven which I am very keen to try!

El pescado y las patatas fritas son buenas. Sin embargo, Olas tienen ahora un horno de pizza y hacer pizzas frescas. Eran tan buenos les había 2 noches corriendo como hija no estaba en el primero y quería probar que dijeron que eran tan buenas.

La comida normal es preciosa y chips chips han mejorado enormemente recientemente. Las pizzas no son también grandes y muy fresca, hecha delante de ti.

Siempre buen pescado y patatas fritas. Nada es demasiado problema para el personal amable. Pizza es genial en el nuevo horno de pizza.

Bastante normal, sólo chips ventaja siendo está abierto hasta tarde los domingos. Sólo lo haría aquí si de pescado más o chippy en Bilton estaban cerradas.

The cod from here has always been good every time I visit, crispy batter, and chunky cod loin. The chips on the other hand can sometimes be greasy, when the server takes the chips out from the oil, he dumps them straight into the chip holder without shaking off excess oil, and this causes the chips to be saturated with oil. I get my cod from here, and my chips from elsewhere.Their pizza is not bad, had a margherita which was £5.50 for a 12", there was quite a lot of cheese on there, but it was very tasty.

Good takeaway at good prices.They have just started to make wood fired pizzas.They are lovely.I would like to see a menu online, so that I can order on the phone.

When I have visitors they always ask to have fish and chips from Waves. The staff are polite and the food is served in cardboard boxes so there isn't so much fat soaking into the chips as can be the case elsewhere. They can also serve kebab meals if you so wish. Very enjoyable

We have Fish and Chips from Waves in Cawston once a week as we live about 500 Yds away this is very convenient.The Cod is alway prepared fresh and is twice the size you can buy for the price from Any Supermarket.The staff are really helpful and chatty and pleasantTo top it all there are now also wood fire Pizza'sDon't Take my word for it try for yourself

Started off as an amazing take away. Some of the best fish and chips in the area. Sadly standards have slipped and prices have gone up. Cod had absolutely no flavour, batter and chips really greasy. Staff seem to have changed since last visit a few months ago and quality has decreased noticeably. Maybe this was just a one off but was so consistent before.

Best local chip shop with excellent friendly staff. Food is always freshly cooked and the kebabs are the best in Rugby.

A great chip shop, food is usually very good, portions are generally good (portions vary a bit between the staff), good selection and pricing is about right. They do not do proper mushy peas, you'll have to go to the Coop next door to buy a tin of those!

We moved to the neighbourhood recently and we were delighted to find a good fish and chips a stones throw from us.Twice we've got our fish meals at Waves and twice we've had nothing to complain about. Even on the Friday evening the service was fast and the fish and chips freshly and well cooked. I hope this will continue

Always served with fish in boxes and drained of cooking oil. The staff are really lovely and make a trip to the 'chippy' a really pleasant experience. I think its the best chip shop in the area and at a reasonable price.

Always busy and deservedly so. The fish is prepared and cooked perfectly and then served in a box. So much care is taken to ensure that it is not dripping with fat like most other chippies. Portion sizes are very good and the prices are so reasonable. Staff are really friendly and the premises are very clean. With fair size car park it makes it the place to go if you fancy a taste of the sea.

We have had most of the different types of food on off here since it opened. The food is always good and the staff friendly but they are definitely at the expensive end of the fish and chip shops spectrum. Expect to pay around 50% extra to what you would elsewhere
