Wave in Hackney

Buen ambiente casual, deliciosa comida vegana. Patio es dog friendly. Tenía el aguacate en tostadas y este tenía una deliciosa salsa zingy.

Pedí dos cafés y un bollo de brioche. El café era agradable (aunque los vasos blancos planos no son mucho más grandes que un vaso de chupito). Terminamos nuestros cafés, todavía no hay comida. Esperé. Y esperó. Y esperó. Aprecio que el café estaba ocupado, pero había suficiente personal para lidiar con las prisas, sin embargo, pudimos ver el bollo sentado en la prensa panini mientras charlaban alegremente mientras hacían sus negocios. Pasó media hora y finalmente fui a preguntar dónde estaba nuestra comida, momento en el que quedó claro que se había olvidado de ella. El servidor lo tocó para asegurarse de que todavía estaba caliente y lo entregó sin disculpas por la espera u oferta de un reembolso u otro café por las molestias. La tapa del bollo tenía la consistencia de un ladrillo debido a que estaba sentado en la tostadora durante mucho más tiempo de lo que debería haber sido. Definitivamente no estuvo a la altura de las críticas que habíamos leído anteriormente.

£ 3 . 80 por una minúscula taza de café y 11 libras. 50 para aguacate en tostadas que tienes que pedir en el mostrador y recogerte del servidor. La pantalla del lector de tarjetas pregunta si desea agregar un consejo - ¿qué estarías dando exactamente? En la hora que estuvimos allí, hubo tres incidentes separados de mendicidad agresiva, dos de ellos ignorados por el personal. El tercer incidente se refería al hostigamiento de una clienta que estaba amamantando. No voy a volver.

Mi amigo y yo tuvimos el maravilloso menú de almuerzo. El sabor de ambos platos fue increíble con sabores muy complejos en cada bocado. Cualquier vista preconcebida que tengas de la comida vegana será deslumbrada. No podemos recomendarlo lo suficiente.

Llevamos meses muriéndonos por venir aquí. Es un café totalmente vegano con un increíble menú de bebidas calientes, pasteles dulces y salados y algunas pequeñas comidas. Parecían un poco cortos de personal esta mañana y la comida era lenta, pero podemos perdonar esto ya que estaban ocupados. Probamos el café salado primero y no recomendaríamos. Es demasiado dulce y el barista no lo había revuelto (¿demasiado ocupado?) así que toda la sal se quedó en el fondo. Para reemplazar eso ordené el Lions Mane Cacao y esto fue sobresaliente. Terroso, cremoso y delicioso. Pedimos para el desayuno el lado soleado y el tazón Brekkie, que nos gustó mucho. El mío era el brekkie bowl y venía con un tofu muy sabroso, avo, con frijoles ahumados, col rizada, pan de masa madre y houmous. Pediría esto de nuevo. También compartimos las tortitas de fresa como segundo desayuno y fueron sorprendentemente excelentes, considerando la mayoría de las cosas sin gluten sabor horrible. Servido con hermoso helado de vainilla. Mientras escribo esto en el tren de vuelta a Leeds, estoy pensando en el rollo de pastelería de setas que hay en mi bolso, yumyum.

No soy vegano (lo sabes porque no te he dicho que lo soy) pero este es un buen anuncio para convertirme en uno. Probé el Cacoa Lion's Mane (gracias a Lisa de Clarkson's Farm) y estaré pendiente de cualquier mejora en la salud. El tofu revuelto estaba delicioso. En general, una experiencia muy positiva

A beautiful shop just down a little alley on Hackney highstreet. The atmosphere was very relaxed and chic, with warm industrial lighting brightened by plants and casual conversation. Service was lovely when I picked up some croissants for takeaway and an espresso. Coffee was hot and smooth, the pastries are enormous and flakey. The sandwich options looked mouthwatering and the menu was varied. Sat out under the awning to enjoy my coffee in a quiet square. Highly recommend a visit!

I’ve been a few times and never disappoints. The food is so tasty and delicious, love the sandwiches, cakes and plates of food. Always look forward to coming to this gem of a place. Really recommend!

The smoothie bowl and the avocado toast was excellent and the decor is really nice. The staff is extremely kind and welcoming. The menu is quite original which is great. We had an amazing time there. However the menu for brunch may not be suitable for picky eaters due to the originality of some dishes.

Gluten free cupcakes, amazing pancakes and coffee and very chill atmosphere, would definitely go again. Also there is a little corner with stuff to buy for the house or office!

Amazing mac and cheese, reasonably priced and really good vibe! Defo recommend if in the area for lunch!

This was my second time here and it didn’t disappoint. The food is excellent. I had the breakfast and it was full of flavour and colour. The portion size is also very generous, although £2 extra for a slice of sourdough toast was a bit much (but typical Hackney). The peanut butter coffee is also a must try.

Delicious food and drinks and a lovely Bali- inspired vibe and setting. This is my new favourite Hackney cafe.

Lured in by the amazing hanging chairs outside. Food is spot on and the coffee is perfect. A lovely hidden gem and all should visit more than once as I will do.

Had a nice lunch here. A good selection of dishes to choose from. A lot of interesting drinks as well. Only complaint is that it is a bit expensive - £10 for a cauliflower salad

Exquisite. Expect a plateful of tasty food with lots of salad, beautifully presented. I recommend the scrambled tofu with caramelised aubergine, appreciated the added seeds and sourdough toast. My son had the coronation toastie, a cauliflower dish. They also have a great range of drinks including turmeric latte. The acoustics are good if you want a conversation and lounging on sofas makes it extra relaxed. Good service. The place gets packed as you might expect so arrive early for a memorable breakfast. Great service.

My wife and I are not vegan but we are so glad we found this fantastic hidden gem just off the high street near Hackney central. We walked into an oasis of calm and were greeted by the lovely staff. This place is obviously the place to be at the moment and the boho interiors are right on point. I can highly recommend the turmeric cacao latte and wait for it...... marmite on toast! So much more than marmite on toast, have a look at my photo. We will always come back any time we are in Hackney. Full marks, well done.

Every dish we tried was amazing!!!! Can’t imagine it is actually vegan- we came twice and would come again if we had more time in the neighborhood! On top of all the atmosphere just makes you want to stay longer and longer.. highly recommended!

Even though WAVE has only been open for a short time it’s quickly becoming one of the most popular cafes in Hackney. Great relaxed vibe with comfy sofas, chairs, lounges and even hammock type chairs that swing from the ceiling. The food is amazing. My fave is the vegan mac & cheese! The owners and staff are lovely. All in all a perfect place to hang out!

Wave is quite tucked away but when we got there, I was shocked at how light and inviting it was. It has a cute garden to sit in which was great for the bank holiday weather. I had a sandwich and brownie, both of which were tasty. It was pretty pricey, my sandwich alone was £8.50, but it was vegan and a healthy snack so I was happy to pay.

This Beautiful place has amazing coffee and amazing food, with something on the menu for everyone, we had the Brekki bowl and Cream cheese bagel, lots of gluten free options, it was all fantastic.

It’s amazing to see how far they’ve come comparing this new cafe with the little box in elephant and castle. The cafe is only 5’ from hackney central station. The interior is bigger than what I was expecting and sets you in a very relaxing...

The Italian was superb, mushrooms, avocado, rocket, nuts, toms on bread with amazing dressing. Yummy thanks
