Waterwheel in Inverclyde

Staff bent over backwards to accommodate our family party of 38 members. From the initial booking, through emailing our menu choices to the serving of our meals each member of staff was friendly and helpful and nothing was too much bother. They arranged a corner of the restaurant for us with space suitable for our wee ones. They moved tables about and checked up on us to ensure everything was going well. We had a lovely family Christmas lunch at The Waterwheel - thank you.

Shocking food. Luke warm tough roast beef. Not one crispy roast potato all seemed boiled and not for long enough. Soggy Yorkshire puddings. Will stick to going to the tail o the bank their Sunday roast are a lot better and cheaper. Lessons learned won't be back especially on a Sunday.

My mum has been diagnosed with caelics disease, and uts been hard to find places to eat. I called the waterwheel and the staff were so friendly and informative. When we arrived we were shown to our table and my mum was given a double sided gluten free menu. She was over the moon. There was so much choice, and we returned the next week to try something else on the menu. Well done, Waterwheel

Visited yesterday, had the Sunday Carvery it was lovely, Kara who served us was very polite and attentive and has a great personality, the restaurant has a lovely atmosphere as well will definitely be back

Fab food as always, never disappointed with the carvery. Great priced food and drink and all of the staff are lovely especially Mags who always provides attentive service with a smile. The premises are clean and tidy, we will return again as always.

The Waterwheel is a really good place to share a get-together with friends and family. Nice food, reasonable prices, pleasant surroundings and lovely service, well-marshalled by ‘sexy’ Stuart. What are you waiting for folks..? Give it a go… 👍

Food was lovely and the staff were amazing, friendly and welcoming, especially Margaret and the guy with the beard. Made our dog welcome too, a bonus they have a doggy menu.....

Had a lovely meal at the waterwheel. I went for the carvery, had the beef, a little bit chucky in parts but overall tasty and the veg was great. Husband and son both had the cowboy burgers which they said were really good. Fab service from Mags.

Went for lunch with a friend. We both ordered a Kebab & fries: mine chicken, my friend's was donner meat. There didn't look to be too much on the plate at first but there was more than enough, and they were both lovely. As for the service, the staff are really lovely and always very attentive

This is our local pub/restaurant and it’s great. Sometimes we just come over for the great range of drinks or we come for the drinks and food. Food is your usual pub fare but it’s done well. The staff are fantastic, always happy to welcome you and have a smile when they do so. Would recommend if you are in the area!

Returning customer and pleasantly surprised by the improvements of the food, it was nice before but tonight was outstanding. Quality and portion size was great value for money. We have been to the waterwheel a few times as it is so family friendly. Really like that there is a kids area as you don't need to worry that you are bothering others who want peace at lunch and it helps younger kids pass...
