Good food had Christmas dinner here.

The resteraunt was very busy as we entered but we were greeted within seconds and seated near the bar with an order of drinks and menu while we waited for our table. There wss a DJ with with sounds from across the decades playing which was ACE. We were seated at our table within 10 mins and had already looked at menu. Plenty to choose from and more, we do love a curry and the choice was tip top. An abundance of staff were milling around. Between courses the wiait was fairly short which we like, ordering of drinks did not take too long either. The service from start to finish 👌 The food bloody delish will be visiting again👌 Ambience 👌

Staff are fabulous. So friendly and helpful. Venue is lovely aesthetically but they had a DJ randomly playing and the music was too loud and it’s very cold inside. You couldn’t hear each other talk. The food was ok. My curry was cold and when I returned it was sent back still only warm. Had the t he Shatnik. Said it was medium but it was mild only. More like a lamb stew th a curry.

Music too loud we struggled to hear each other. It was cold at our table. Service was fine and food good

Table booked for NYE extremely busy but it was ran with absolut perfect. All the staff knew what they were all doing very attentive and very organised you should be proud of your staff team. The food is amazing here, everything cooked to perfection. Would highly recommend! Can't wait to come back

Went with the family and didn’t have a great experience. May have been due to the time of year, lots of Christmas parties in. The starters we ordered came out with “off” salad. There was an overwhelming smell of feet and wet dog when the starters arrived. This was from the salad, it was obviously bad and should have never left the kitchen. The waiter was nice about it and brought out some new starters minus the salad. The mains were ok, but we were majorly put off at this point by the dodgy salad we’d been served. The biriyani tasted ok but was the vegetables were of very different levels of cooked, some potatoes very mushy and some quite hard as if the same pot had been added to? Not sure we’ll be returning.

Fantastic service top class food

Great place to eat been there before but had a few complications eating there today, I was seated inches from a step causing me to fear moving the slightest bit and have people brush past me as they walk past which is not ideal for someone who suffers from anxiety, I ordered a lamb madras but got given a chicken madras which was lovely don't get me wrong but not what I had ordered, finally after telling our server that we had finished we sat patiently and watched as they served people coming in before handing us the check which took longer than it had taken us to eat our food, other than that id recommend it to anyone I know as they serve the best curries for miles

Never had a bad visit here it’s our number one go to when we have an Indian …. The atmosphere is great the food is beautiful and the staff are lovely xx

The good was crap, bland and boring. Our starters stunk of wet socks and even the waitress agreed. Need was bad and the restaurant was cold.

An Indian restaurant… with a twist! We booked this place for our Christmas work do, expecting the usual mix of great food, good company, and a bit of festive cheer. What we got was all that—plus a surprise side of nightclub chaos. The location is great with easy parking, and the food and service were solid. But on a Friday night, this isn’t just an Indian restaurant; it’s a full-on party venue. Downstairs was like walking into a club: packed bar, DJ pumping out tunes, people dancing, and others casually eating their curry amidst it all. Truly an experience we weren’t expecting! Thankfully, we were seated upstairs where it was a little quieter, but conversation still required some serious effort. Think shouting directly into someone’s ear or perfecting your lip-reading skills. Overall, it was bizarre, amusing, and definitely memorable. Don’t go expecting a quiet sit-down meal—this is dinner with a disco.

Excellent service this evening! Staff very friendly, food is amazing and restaurant has a nice atmosphere, nothing is too much trouble for the team who work here! Would deffo recommend and I would return!

Ordered a lamb Bhuna and can honestly say I have had better microwave meals from Iceland no flavour the chips were French fries and hard nails, even the poppadoms were stale the only good thing was the Waterlily bag

The food is always lovely but the delivery times are awful, always over 30+ minutes late, tried again in case they were just having a bad night and again, super late. The order gets marked as "Delivered" and it's not...

Pre Christmas evening meal was let down by the exceptionally load Music from DJdexter,would have thought the volume could have been lowered when eating. The desert menus consisted of frozen ice creams of which mine had defrosted and refrozen on an angle in the dish,looked half eaten and refrozen! All in all,main course was nice but the rest was a shambles! Sorry water Lilly!

Food quality wasn't that great this time with bread and food both being warm but not hot and the food had to be microwaved. Nan and parathyroid were both chewy and cold. not usual quality which has made me a return customer.

Very nicely presented surroundings, sadly went downhill very quickly in most other aspects, food was average and on the whole small portions, plenty of staff but service slow, I have never heard of a DJ in a restaurant especially at 6.30pm, I like background music but the music here was extremely loud and despite numerous requests from our party of 12 to turn the music down absolutely no response . I wear hearing aids and despite firstly turning hearing aids to minimum volume and then taking hearing aids out the music was uncomfortably loud . Definitely would not recommend or return.

Had a six o’clock reservation - the place was buzzing. They now have a DJ on and it has lifted the place no end. The food was wonderful / beautifully cooked and served in good time - waiting staff were attentive and on the ball

Absolute mouth watering lamb Roghan Josh with fragrant pilau rice that was delicate and delicious. Both me and hub throughly enjoyed our more than generous portions. Not fatty at all, chunks of succulent lamb with a lovely flavour. Highly recommended. 5 stars to the Chef!

Ordered from here last night. All food was either cold or lukewarm at best, poppadoms were stale, barely any cheese in the cheese naan and there was a sharp bit of hard plastic in my egg rice! Most of the order went in the bin, waste of money! Felt sick for the rest of the evening. Would not recommend at all. First and last time eating from here!

Given this place the benefit of the doubt the previous times we’ve been and our food was late and then spilt in the bag. Today delivery was late then driver couldn’t find our house then our food wasn’t even hot had to warm it up in the microwave. Very disappointing and we won’t be returning.

Curry was lovely, but it was late which then unfortunately meant that the food wasn’t that hot which did affect the meal especially the naan breads.

Just eat app said our order will be with us between 20.00 and 20.20 we received our order at 21.20 after originally placing the order at 19.30, food was cold. We normally enjoy this takeaway but it’ll be last time we order from here, we’ll eat at the restaurant instead.

If there was an option to give zero I would have we had a meal in here last night there was five of us friend of mine complained about the sauce which I must add was like water really rude attitude basically got told they were too busy and nothing they would do about it would definitely never attend this restaurant again and I would recommend anyone to avoid.

Delivered within 30mins of ordering from Waterlily and as always was not disappointed with their food it was plentiful and delicious and would highly recommend them.

Really nice food with amazing staff, however I was appalled when I found out that tips are being witheld from the staff by owners. The new law where tips have to be left with the intended person, has no regard in this place and for this reason I will never go back again.

Lovely food, great service and a pleasant atmosphere.

The food was great as we've come to expect, the service was faultless, again as we've come to expect, and the overall atmosphere was that of content diners enjoying the food and the company of those they were dining with. The only cautionary note I'd make is that this isn't a cheap place to dine, but very few places are anymore.

We felt very rushed to order, finish eating and leave! The restaurant is very dark, it was difficult to read the menu, phone torches were used. The food itself was good but not an enjoyable evening due to the service. I wouldn't go again.

After being a loyal customer for years, using the restaurant for family celebrations and always rating this place as the best, I can honestly say I will NEVER come back again. Tried to order my usual tandoori mixed grill online, cost is £14.95 on uber Eats but they have added a mandatory extra curry sauce ot £3.50 to the menu option. You can't omit it, you have to add it to be able to progress the order. I called the resturant to see if there had been an error with the way it was added to the site as surely the sauce at additional cost should be optional, to be told,no this is correct and you have to order a side of curry sauce with this dish now and that they've had a new chef. TANDOORI Mixed grill is a DRY dish and thats why I like it, it's a dry dish at every other takeaway/resturant I've been to too. Gave them the benefit of the doubt and ordered anyway as they agreed just this one time I could pay for that dish over the phone without the sauce, but it would now cost £15.50! Not a massive difference I know but still an increase on the online menu price. The food arrived and it was poor and substandard. The Meat was dry and overcooked. The chicken balti bhuna was runny and tasteless and the food was luke warm at best. Even the nan bread was poor. What used to be a great resturant has really gone down hill with really poor customer service. Such a shame, but I won't be spending there again that's for sure

Ordered a couple of dishes and both are swimming in oil. One was replaced and was worse than the first one. Apparently there is a new chef and I'm hearing nothing but bad reviews on the last few days.

Great staff.. we needed to add 4 people to our table, the staff I spoke to were incredibly helpful and managed to fit us in. We all enjoyed the food, We had a variety of dishes that everyone enjoyed. The restaurant was very busy so we did have to wait a short while for food but we weren’t in any hurry. Our only moan would’ve been about the music, not the content or the fact that there was a dj but it was so loud, every so often it seemed to get louder, making it impossible to hear conversation. However, we had a very enjoyable experience and would recommend to others. Thankyou.

Food was cold. Too much garlic on garlic nan was soggy. Mild pathia so hot it went in bin. Veg in rice uncooked. Something different in the onion salad left a strange taste. Very disappointed

After ringing up to find out where the order was as it was late and then being cut off so had to ring back again to be told our order would be on its way. We still had to wait another 15 minutes until it arrived and we had to reheat our food up as it was cold.. Asked for a partial refund which was denied as restaurant messaged to say they were busy. If this was the case then don’t give a 20-30 minute wait time. Please give a more accurate and realistic time orders will arrive! Very poor
