Victoria Tandoori in Mansfield

Maybe it was a quiet Saturday night but folks weren't eating meaning it had a bit of a flat atmosphere. Mains were very good. Taste and quantity good. Starters were bland - a couple of tesco-like samosas and pakora that had a very soft, almost doughy, covering. Too much salad and no lemon or sauce. We asked and were pointed to the sauce we'd paid for with our popadoms!

The food was nice. However, the restaurant doesn’t have disabled facilities which meant I had to go through the dark back entrance and it really put me off in general because it was scary. Even the kitchen staff was surprised to see me while they were cooking, they need a ramp in the front and a disabled ramp am sure am not the only disabled person to enter this property

We used to order regular from Victoria Tandoori up until 6 months ago. Always found the food tasty and a cut above. Sadly the quality and taste has deteriorated, and after trying them again found the meal too sweet and bland. The rice could have been plain boiled rice rather than pilau. A shame as we love a good curry, not sure whether there has been a change of chef but we're now disappointed with the overall taste of their food. Don't think we'll be trying again, especially as they are not the cheapest, but we could have lived with that if the food had been better.

First time ordering from Victoria Tandoori and won’t be my last! Great food and timely delivery.

We got Afghani chicken curry with tandoori chicken piece 🥴🥴🥴 tastes normal chicken curry.ordered chicken biriyani just like veg pulav. Never again 🙅🏼‍♀️🙅🏼‍♀️🙅🏼‍♀️.

The place was nearly empty and felt dead 10 15 pickle trays wer poor prep Mains were boring and bland? Tikka was so sweet like Korma and Madras was so mild and no spices Nans were never fresh? Chef is rubbish and be surprised if stays open? Could be arsed to take a pic,Never again!!

I came to this restaurant on Tuesday night to pick up my collection for Eid. I googled Mansfield best Indian restaurants and this came up on google reviews and TripAdvisor. I appreciated the reviews it had so decided on a change for the night. However, this was a mistake and a extremely poor customer experience. Once I came home and found the food was cold I called the restaurant and told then I was unsatisfied with what I had received. I was given a butterfly prawn portion with no salad, broken poppadom's , cold rice and requested a partial refund as I had spent over £40. The man who took the call accepted no fault for the food ordered but wanted me to try and order again in the hope of a better experience "he will sort me out". I told him for a first time experience I was extremely dissatisfied and I would come back to the shop. He rudely spoke to me on the phone and after no wanting to get into a tit for tat match I ended the call.

First time here , booked for 9.30 it was extremely quiet for a Saturday night so the service was fast . The food was really flavoursome and they made the dishes to our required level of spice . Was delivered nice and hot and all fresh . 2 main meals we had a starter to share 1 portion rice 1 cheese garlic nann bread double pink gin and lemonade and 1 pint lager £63.30 so a little pricey seen as it was only 1 starter but very nice

Since we have been going to Victoria for curries we wouldn’t go anywhere else. The curries are insane and as my partner and I have different heat tolerance we can both get something that we enjoy! Their Madras heat-level Chicken Tikka Masala is the perfect spice level for me! Delivery is perfectly timed, they find the house with no problem which is a massive thing for where we live (5 stars from me) and the food is always HOT when it arrives. I can’t fault them. Whatever they’re doing in that restaurant I hope they keep doing it!

Really enjoyed our curries, and the peshwari naan was the best I’ve ever had! On top, the customer service level is really good, especially when my Husband lost his wallet and they helped us by checking the CCTV. Thank you!

Amazing curry every time, I try to try something different every time and they always deliver. Tried Indian restaurant all over the country and this is by far the best I’ve ever tried. Even recommended it to a few friends who have been and said it’s the best curry they have ever had!

I meet a friend here because it’s half way between the two of us every other month. We have been twice and the food is great , the service is very good and the ambience is just how you want it to be able to chat and hear each other . Can’t fault .

Looking forward to a nice meal but very disappointed, the chicken shashlick was supposed to arrive at your table sizzling the only thing that was sizzling was the onions the chicken was cold ,the Bombay potatoes were cold aswell .we have been here many times and found the food really good but I’m afraid last night it was very poor . Needless to say we will not be returning 👎🏻

Lets face it we all think we are curry connoisseurs, but honestly this is the best curry I've ever had in the local area. You will not be disappointed.

Me and my family ordered a takeout, food came in 20 minutes we had a ctm, madras sauce, chicken pathia, 3 cheese and garlic nans, and 3 mushroom rice. Food was cooked to perfection, plenty of chicken and very tender, Nan breads were amazing and the rice was gorgeous. Best Indian I've had would 100% recommend to anyone

Ordered a takeaway. Our first Indian meal for over two years. This was not for us. Very over salted and otherwise bland Side orders very small for a sharing option. Will eat elsewhere.

Nice tasting curry at the Victoria curry place and a few Cobras of course 😉 Recommended for the food. Price wise, probably the going rate, you probably find cheaper, but it seems of reasonable quality and presentation!

Glad we booked as was really busy, and we can see why. Was by far the best Indian food we've ever tasted (and we've had a few) staff were attentive and lovely, slight wait on food but considering how busy it was we didn't mind and was well worth the wait. I don’t like to give bad reviews, but I feel this one is deserved. Arrived as a party of 3 and the only other table occupied when we arrived was a table of 6. Drinks order was taken and arrived at the table was a bottle of beer that was over a month out of date. It took over an hour to get our poppadoms and pickle tray and another 45 minutes for the mains. When the food arrived the waiter obviously had no interest in being there as he just placed the food down anyhow, even chucking tray of rice straight on to a plate. The nan breads were cold and the curries warm enough to eat. The table of 6, sent several items back because they were stone cold. After 2 and half hours we finally got the bill, with no offer of taking off the price of an out of date beer and a discount for waiting so long (not forget there was a total of 9 people in the whole restaurant). Overall a poor experience and will be looking else where when venturing to Mansfield for a curry.

Went for a catch with a friend from the moment we walked in the service was exceptional. Great attention to detail, couldn't do enough for us, Had the Butter chicken absolutely fantastic, portion was very generous, took home the obligatory doggy bag, highly recommended second visit will most definitely be back. My curry Chilli Masala was sickly sweet with no kick at all and my wife’s paneer curry lacked depth. Beer and service were good though.

Just had a chicken, potato and egg curry. Was beautiful. Large selection of dishes from mild to blow your ears out. We shared the mixed tandoori starter which was delicious. Neither of us could finish our meal but we tried 😁. Really nice staff, prompt service and good value for money. We'll go again happily.

Thus is the first time my husband and I have visited. The food and service were excellent. The staff were welcoming and efficient but not fussy. We will definitely go to the Victoria Tandoori again when we are in the area.

Pretty good all around.... Chicken of mixed kebab was too chewy is only real mark down and lack of an IPA beer (kingfisher and cobra both do them now so no excuse that it's an Indian)

Ordered a takeaway which was over an hour and a half late. I thought originally they were doing me a favour due to the late kick off of the Champions League Final and that they were wanting me to enjoy my takeaway with the match on. Turns out, they wanted me to miss the majority of the first half on the phone to them explaining I haven't recieved my order. When called to query, I was told it had been delivered and that the man in my household had accepted it at my door number. I repeatedly stated it hadn't been delivered. This then resulted in a quiz of who lives within my household that may had accepted it. After several phone calls and implications that I am a liar they sent the manager out to the house they'd delivered it to on a different street with a different house number. Luckily, I was on window patrol and saw them arrive at the house on the opposite end of the estate and was able to head down to discuss during half time. Poor service and certainly would not recommend. After enjoying many takeaways from them in the past, their customer service is now rock bottom. In future, we'll certainly head to Rima Faz.

I go here at least once a month. I'm not sure how many chefs there are, but 9 times out of 10 the food is out of this world! Highly recommended, the owners and staff are just wonderful, the restaurant itself is comfortable, clean and has a lovely atmosphere. Honestly, I wouldn't go anywhere else for an amazing Indian meal.

Never had a bad one from here and not had one for a while. Had one on Friday and it was awful. Rice came out of container in one lump and had to try and break up up, without success. The rice tasted awful and ruined the meal. Nan breads used to be lovely and big but these are barely worth having. Husbands meal, he couldn't eat it, it was very dry. Salad had seen better days. Never again.
