As lovely as ever having come here many times over the last 20 years but not recently. Perfect light breakfast and wonderful coffee served by a lovely smiley lady . Relaxed surroundings and great views. Farm shop still excellent and great array of vegetables that would put any supermarket to shame - the quality and variety was fantastic.

Fabulous short break at the site, you phone when you arrive, and can then set up, a very helpful man came along to show us where everything was, including a walk through the permissive footpaths down to Bridport Pitch 9 was perfect for us a sea view, plenty of room, showers and toilets clean and we never had to queue Dog friendly We had lunch one day at the cafe and that was tasty, well presented and staff polite and helpful

use the farm shop regularly (expensive but recommend) so thought would try cafe. full english mushrooms on toast and two orange juices. Took 25 minutes to materialise. nobody came over to explain there would be a wait. eventually came and was very underwhelmed. full english ok (frozen hash browns unacceptable, leave them out) mushrooms on toast, i guess just that. dry and miserable. this all came to £28. very overpriced. won’t be going to the cafe again.

Site was perfect for what we wanted, walking distance to Bridport, adults only and very clean and tidy. Good facilities and great farm shop on site. Owners were very helpful and let us know of a cancellation so we didn’t have to move to another site for a night mid stay. Hive beach was only a 15 min drive away. Highly recommended and we will be back. Thank you to all.

The farm shop itself is everything you would want in a farm shop...it has such a good selection of everything. The breakfast in the cafe was pretty disappointing for the 4 of us...over priced . It could be so much better! I wouldn't expect cheap sliced bread and frozen hash browns for a £15 farm breakfast.

Thought we would have a spot of lunch while we visited the farm shop. We were absolutely staggered at the prices, even basic food like Ham, Egg and Chips was in excess of £15. Lasagna was something like £16-17. Even Soup was £ 7.00. Jacket Potato was £11.50. This is a Farm Shop for God’s sake where potatoes are sold around 50p. Needless to say we left without eating This is pure utter extortion. We were visiting a sick relative in Bridport Hospital up the road and they had a lovely Cafe, where we had a lovely lunch for a fraction of the price. I would suggest other people do the same and support the NHS and get taken in by these overpriced costs

We booked a week at this caravan park and on arrival was easy check in as already knew pitch number, checked in via telephone as per requested and site owner came down to check all was good before we completed pitch set up. Toilets very high standard and kept spotlessly clean, caravan site very clean and beautiful location. Farm shop, what can I say? All the food looked delicious and what we actually tried certainly was delicious. A great selection of pies which were best I've ever tried and sausages absolutely delicious. We ate in the cafe and again very friendly staff, food and overall service totally excellent. We stayed with our 3 dogs and no issues at all and we shall certainly be looking to return to this fantastic site on the farm with shop and cafe! Thank you to all staff and owners for a fantastic place to stay.

I've shopped here for many years and love their fresh produce. I had a sandwich recently; I thought £9 odd was steep but was confident it would have some kind of 'wow' factor. It didn't. We stopped here for lunch without booking, hoping to get a table for roast. The small cafe is located next to the fabulous local produce shop. There was plenty of out door seating available so although the indoor tables were reserved, we asked to order food to eat outside. The serving lady said rather grumpily that we could not have roasts as her reserved guests had not arrived to eat yet. This was fair enough but she did not offer us any alternative food at all or drinks. She did not seem bothered about getting the custom. There was plenty of other choices on the menu. I thought it was rather rude and not very welcoming. Turned away, we went to eat at another restaurant down the road.

As a resident of Bridport it meant that the last day of the long Easter weekend called for a walk to Washingpool and try their restaurant for the first time. Having visited the exquisite farm shop on numerous occasions it was time to taste what they have on offer! Although not particularly hungry, two cream teas were purchased and in area where cream teas are prevalent in some many eating places in Dorset this is without doubt the best both of us have ever sampled. Along with the tasty beverages (tea and coffee) their cream tea scones come served warm along with their delicious offering of clotted cream and strawberry jam. Sitting outside today in the warm spring sunshine I could not imagine a better place to sit with seating that is spaced evenly with beautiful views of the countryside. Farm animals also make the experience just that much more enjoyable and the pigs are such wonderful characters.

Great choice of food sourced from local producers, we also ate in the small restaurant and I chose the Pate which was delicious and more like a Parfait, it was served with a spicy tomato & caramelised onion chutney which was so good we bought some in the shop to take home. A large cardboard cutout of Lenny Henry's character in Broadchurch is on display as it is where the filming took place in his shop. A little gem of a shop just outside Bridport.

Stopped here for lunch with friends on a trip to the west country. Fairly basic set up but the food was very good and reasonably priced. Good farm shop if stocking up for a stay in the area.

Famous or not now they do a fine cup of tea! Served in proper tea pots and with due regard to people's tea preferences. Its not particularly fancy but you'd go a long way for a better cuppa!

My friends and I have been going to this farm shop and restaurant for some considerable time and have never come away disappointed. The shop offers a superb selection of local produce including meat, cheese, fruit, vegetables, wonderful bread from the local bakers at Evershot, pickles, jams, chocolates, cakes and far too much to list here. There is always a good variety of dishes on offer in the restaurant all freshly prepared and generous proportions ( super hand cut cheesy chips!) And of course if visiting in the afternoon a cream tea is a must! For those of you that are not aware( surely there can't be many) the Farm shop starred in the recent famous Broadchurch series so you can even pose next to a full size Lenny Henry cut out to take a selfie!!! A small donation to a charity appreciated! So if you want the best, either to enjoy a super lunch or tea while at the same time picking up some wonderful produce this is the place to go.

Highly recommended and only a 10min detour off the main route to Cornwall so stop here rather than a service station! Lovely food in the restaurant, no wonder its popular. Lasagne with homemade chips is just beautiful. Good portions and good prices. Farm shop is nice too with some great local products (LOVE Bunnies Love Fruity Ketchup - yum!). Nice to have wrapped portions of cake to go too, fresh and delicious.

We have used this farm shop on many occasions when visiting the area in our caravan. Superb produce, friendly staff and now a location where Broadchurch was filmed!

Washingpool Farm restaurant is only small but well worth visiting.'Broadchurch' was partially filmed there, and the adjoining farm shop doubled as Lenny Henry's business for the purposes of the show.Plenty of anecdotes from the restaurant staff re the approachability of certain cast members, but my main area of praise is for the quality and taste of the hand cut chips. Absolutely gorgeous. We visited yesterday and returned today for a second helping. The bread is fresh and tasty and the rest of the menu is quite extensive.Wish we'd found it earlier in the week. The staff are friendly cheerful and well motivated. There is a large picnic area with a few swings and stuff for the kids, and a few pigs and poultry for them to see, and last but not least, the view from the terrace is really magnificent. You should try it if you are ever in the area. Highly recommended

We called in for tea and cakes on Easter Saturday. There was a large selection of cakes on a chalk-board and we settled for freshly baked scones which were huge and full of raisins and served nicely warm with a generous slab of butter. A pot of tea for one (enough for two cups!) was £1.75 and a regular coffee £1.90 which we though very reasonable and all served at our table by cheerful waitresses The restaurant has beautiful views over the Dorset countryside and an outside seating area which must be lovely on a warm day. The adjoining farm shop had top quality produce, all clearly marked with country of origin, much of it British. Very impressed, we will definitely be back!

What a gorgeous little farm shop.We went to take a look after seeing it on Broadchurch. We had tea and cake in the garden, although I had a cream tea but no clotted cream with it...?The farm shop is fantastic, albeit a little pricey. £5.25 for a punnet of strawberries?! The cakes however are to die for and there was a wide choice of quality fruit and veg.Great place to stop by with the children, but I doubt many can afford to shop there often.

Interesting farm shop to browse with some lovely products. Cafe excellent and well priced. Badly let down by the portaloo toilets which are never pleasant at the best of times but on this occasion were completely disgusting. Sort the toilets and would be 5 star.

Ate here Friday evening three of us had wood fired pizzas which were delicious, pleasant staff as always. On the Saturday two of us visited for lunch. We had crab sandwiches with a mixed leaf salad, they were tasty enough but £11 seems too much...

We had a great dinner at the Arts Club. The food was wonderful, the staff were excellent and, being a lovely summer evening, we dined outside in the pretty and surprisingly quiet courtyard.

after a wind blown swim in the sea we decided we wanted some comforting food and hot drinks - initially sat right on the front of the patio and the lady in charge was there in a mo with menus and a brush to wipe sand off the table top - we decided it was still to windy there, so moved back against cafe wall. Orders quickly taken - food wasn't fast, but my golly when it came it was fresh and delicious - from bacon sandwiches to american pancakes and bacon - all piping hot and full of flavour.

Lovely hotel and friendly helpful staff. Pricey at £350 B&B with very average rooms but good breakfast, although service very slow. Sadly not accessible for those with mobility disorders as no lift, steep stairs and few accessible bathrooms However, marvellous for lunch or dinner on a day out
