It is not the same since they changed the menu. Portions shrunk as well so not worth it anymore

Amazing quick grab lunch!! So fresh...

21 Feb 2025 at 21:30 I am a vegetarian and picked up the box which said Vegetarian Gyosaki (or something similar) but I still thought to double check at the payment counter. Surprisingly, it turned out Korean chicken and all boxes were wrongly labelled at the display. Not impressed! I selected tofu curry instead but when I went to the counter, the girl asked eating in or taking away. I wanted to eat in then she said sorry its only take away. OK, so why the hell you ask me then? Disturbed and disappointed :(

They have heated and chilled section to differentiate sushi and Bento/hot dishes, katsu curries, sushi, ribs, hot honey. Affordable too given it's London Paddington, sushi prices are similar to those in supermarkets not as steep as you'd think.

The pork ribs and sushi were good. Customers couldn’t put away my trash so when it’s busy, it could be difficult to look for a seat. Other than that, I think it’s a solid 4-star at a train station!

Maybe I picked it up late, rice already dried out a bit. A bit pricy

It’s a Wasabi so you know what you’re getting…pretty good but not amazing sushi and katsu. That being said the staff in here were noticeably friendly when I came in on New Year’s Day and it filled me up on the train home. Not too expensive for London and if you’ve got a bike with you then you can essentially bring it to the counter so no one will take it. Take it for what it is, but for a chain I’d have to give it a 5/5.

For a dish that has 'tofu' in its name, there's barely any in it 😭 "tofu tom yum" is a soup with noodles, edamame, carrots, and one brocoli branch. As much tofu as is in the miso soup, which is to say, barely any. No sign of Chinese leaf or Pak choi I'm afraid.

I have tried veg gyoza yakisoba bento, not very tasty, lack of sauce and noodles sticked together and some hard.

Maggot found in sweet chilli chicken bento. Tried to contact the company directly via telephone and email and had no response.

Surprisingly good sushi takeout for a train station stop.

I have ordered katsu curry with rice and sweet chilli chicken with noodles. Disappointed about the katsu curry because it was bland. I have tried katsu curry before in other wasabi’s branches too so I understand the difference. But the sweet chicken and noodles was awesome. Flavour was consistent with other branches.

Good and fresh food. They added 5 pounds to the order if we eat in, without mentioning it.

Good choice of sushi 🍣 🍱 Small and large portions. Other choices of food such as ramen noodles and skewers to go. Grab and go or eat there, with a speedy checkout and affordable prices.

It's a great place to grab some sushi before catching the train. Better quality than most of the other Wasabi (and Itsu) other branches in London. The staff are always efficient and polite.

A crazy manager took food from me near the store, in front of all the passers-by, because he thought that I didn't pay for it. I am in shock. This has happened to me for the first time in ten years of living in London. It's emotional damage!

Ordered the spicy Tom yum chicken soup. No spice and completely lacked flavour. Overpriced for what you're given.

Chicken katsu curry banto is really so good and service is also good of mr gagan

Ground floor of Paddington Station...located in a convenient and prominent location. Most of the customers are take-away customers, but you can also eat and drink inside. However, there are times when the smell of Mexican food upstairs is so strong that it bothers me.

Been here many times. Food typical of a Wasabi branch. Service is fast but can be dismissive. NONE of the USB ports work. If looking for a USB charging point I recommend the FCB coffee next to Leon on the mezzanine.

Went here after a long trip hit the stop was surprised to find that the onigiiri was filled with seaweed but it was good just needed a little more salt. The pumpkin katsu curry was also good the rice was perfect but the curry was perhaps a little sweet. Overalll not bad the servic was quick and efficient.

Massively disappointed. Bought a supposedly vegan seaweed salad ongiri today at Paddington to take away on my journey. Opened it later to find that it was some sort of fish and kimchi !! 🤢🤮😡

Nearly missed our train as, they were suppose to open at 9. After being ignored by staff, i had to knock on the window and then told us they opened at 9:30 instead

This place offers delicious Japanese food and drinks. There are many options to choose from, such as soups, ramen, sushi platers, salads, bowls and soda and I am sure that you will find something that you'll love. Can't wait to visit you again as the dish that I bought was amazing!

The food and service was absolutely wonderful, my father and I bought the salmon onigiri 🍙 and edamame. it was actually SO delicious! The bentos and other stuff smelled so good too, although we didn’t get around to buying it :( it was all relatively cheap too! Faster and yummier than even fast food, a million stars from me!

Horrible experience, the food was served cold and after eating their bento box I felt so sick and nauseous. Quality of food is horrendous, much better to go M&S or Leon. My friend tried the sushi too, the quality yet again was very poor and she felt ill for a few days. The price for the quality is ridiculous, don’t recommend whatsoever!

We made a quick stop for Japanese cuisine while waiting for our train. The food was decent.

Maybe I've been unlucky but visited in lunch hours. I like this chain quite a lot but for some reason they didn't have that many choices as other branches I've visited. Food was good and tasty, a little more meat would be appreciated. I usually have noodles but not this time for said reasons. Service was quick, lots of seats around, even if they are occupied you can try to find place to sit somewhere else, it's train station after all.

This is a nice food place. I went here and was satisfied with my experience. This place has boxed meals for sale that are surprisingly good. I got a box with rice and chicken in spicy chili sauce. While the sauce wasn’t too spicy, it added a nice taste to my meal, and I found churning the rice in the sauce to be very tasty. I gave this food place five stars because it has some very good food as far as train stations go.

It's great for a light meal before moving from Paddington Station to somewhere else. The salmon sushi was fresh and delicious. There is only a small amount of wasabi in the pack, so if you need more wasabi, you can ask for more at checkout and they will give it to you.

Sushi, sushi rolls, onigiri: Really good and by far and away the best out of the UK chains. Nearly as good as chain takeout sushi in Japan. Gyoza: terrible, do not recommend. Hot rice dishes: good. Server wasn’t the friendliest unfortunately and can be a bit hectic trying to pick your items when this place gets busy. Pay extra to dine in but the tables are filthy.

Had some Sushi's - had a doubt on the taste of one -> doubt went away as the food poisonning symptomes came along! Not the first time.

Of course, the important thing is to not think of it as Japanese food eaten in Japan, but to think of it as an adapted dish inspired by Japanese food that will be popular locally. When you think about it, every menu is interesting. I ate it as takeout at my hotel, and it was delicious.

Have been here now twice, both times waiting my train to Bristol. As I arrived 30 min before my train I thought I get some nice sushi/sashimi set before my train arrives. Fri drink I like to get aloe vera drink as it’s refreshing. The sushi and sashimi is always fresh and they have lots of choice of hot meals too. There are good selection of meat/fish and vegetarian options and wide range ranging of drink selection. Service is quick and friendly. Can dine in or take away option is available too.

Wasabi in Paddington used to be our favourite eat in plus take away. Not anymore. The tofu tom yum used to be a hearty delicious soup. Now it is as appealing as dishwater and expensive to boot. The first order was lukewarm and I requested that they heat it. The worker used his fingers to return a stray noodle and I asked that he not touch the food. He tossed it away and replaced it with another that was so hot it melted the plasticised paper spoon. So disappointing.

What a shame. Wasabi is known for its delicious vegetarian and tofu bento box. However this unit in Paddington station serves only non vegetarian. Vegetarian is never available here.

Wasabi has invented a new food group! They take normal, fluffy, semi-moist sticky rice and inject it with extra water to create a vaseline jelly textured sushi. Delicious. £10 well spent.

Prepared Japanese snacks and entrees with lots of variety. The number of vegan options is perfect, and it's quite affordable. Perfect for a quick lunch while traveling.

As good as it gets for cheap sushi. I still prefer it to itsu and other alternatives. Theirs chicken Katsu Curry is the best!

Once was a fun place to get food. Now staff don't know all on offer and after 10 pm no half price just two for one, so tried it but NO it has to be the same dish. I feel that wasabi in train stations is going down hill. Better deals elsewhere.

Many vegetarian and vegan options for a suitable price. The places were bit dirty but it's alright for grabbing snacks before a trip. The sushi itself tasted great, although it was lacking on soy sauce for my taste (you get one small bag of soy sauce). The cashiers rather seemed annoyed and in a bad mood. All in all i would come back to grab a snack for my trip but not to sit and enjoy my sushi there😊

Rude staff and food is completely overpriced. Better option for cold sushi is going to M and S and for hot food head Leon. Staff are rude and completely unhelpful. No signs about no cash and when I asked where they were the lady just glared at me and said card only. Little did she seem to care that the person next to me was paying cash…..as a frequent commuter to and from Paddington there is no way I will be going back here.

It seems that sushi dishes were made quite some time before being served to the customers. Also, all fish has some kind of goop and an odd shine.Typically busy, without table to support all customers.

Although super busy this time of year, the queue was managed extremely well by the lovely staff there. Had an issue with my card as well, and despite the chaos going around, the staff member that was charging me had a lot of patience and overall positive attitude. They honestly deserve a raise for exceptional customer service. The food was amazing like usual, I love Japanese food in general and this time it didn't dissapoint at all. If I'll be in the area anytime soon, I'll definitely stop by again. 5/5

Curry rice was crusty but still tasty

The most expensive Wasabi I have ever seen in London. Dishes are higher 2 pounds than other central London wasabis. And the prices have been rising a lot recently. Plus the food quality is getting worst. I understand they are increasing due the fact that it is in station, but for a Wasabi costumer in other regions of the city it is quite disappointing and frustrating.

Dine in or take out, located inside London Paddington Station. Quite extensive choices and reasonably priced. Mixed maki rolls were nice and filling however, the garlic and soy hot wings did taste like they been out on the shelves for a long time.

The hot food just isn't held hot enough. Tepid noodles can only disappoint. Tepid rice might be dangerous.

There's pigeons all over the table eating people's leftovers. Horrible

Quick spot to grab some average quality sushi inside Paddington station before your journey towards outside of London (or back to London). I grabbed this and a seaweed onigiri just before my flight. Very quick service. You just pick something and then pay. There are various selection of vegan options too.

A very good place to stop by between your train trips ,very handy ! Easy payment . You can sit & dine in ,or take away ,or take it w/ you on your train !! Which I did both ,but not dining inside .The fake salmon was good texture / taste !! Even a bit jelly / sticky like the real thing !! More like o Toro to me as for the taste wise ! A fun experience on my train !! I had it as my lunch .Also I took seaweed onigiri which was also delicious !! A mother & son were buying 3, 4 of 'em ! I am glad that I copied them ! Lol. It was very good !! And I went back there at late at night around 10 pm on the 12 th of September,Mon. I was surprised to see they were still open !! I highly recommend this place to everyone !! Especially vegans & vegetarians !! Sad that they don't sell green tea !! That's no no for Japanese ! Lol.
