Ordered takeaway just 10 mins ago, noticed the guy cross contaminating by using the tongs between meat and the salad, when I complained as I’m a vegetarian, another lady there was arguing with me. The guy went to clean the tongs and she told him to leave it be. Pathetic service, I wouldn’t bother if I was a vegetarian, seems like this happens far too often.

They kept the prices reasonable during last two years but the pieces are half the size they used to be, so my last ever visit was today. I would rather pay more than stay hungry, but as always, it is a disappointment to go to.

The grilled food here is amazing, and this is the only reason to visit. The curries are acceptable, and the way they treat their staff isn’t great either. Stick with the grilled kebabs, doner and chicken

Been customer over few years now, every time I use them, I always have terrible service. Today I thought I’d try takeaway, rang up and asked how long it will take and I was told 25 mins. Gave order and took 45 mins, starters was ready in 25 mins, took another 20 mins for mains, by that time starters were cold! Then they said cash only 😩, I said why wasn’t I told when I rang, the lady serving totally blanked me as if I wasn’t there….. very rude. Owners needs to realise they need to get more people to serve and not just one person serving takeaways and inside restaurants. Would love to try and give business to local business but they never learn! No more now. They have lost my once a week takeaway service to Lahoria Spice on Kingsbury Rd who have got it spot on! Please don’t waste your time.

By chance I happened to be in the area and had a taste for a curry. I hesitated before going into this restaurant because i'd never heard of them before. I quickly looked them up on Tripadvisor & saw the bad reviews. However, I was hungry & wanted to try for myself - And I'm so so glad I did!! The lady behind the counter was really pleasant and kind & the gentleman who prepared & cooked my food was equally as nice (I think he was the boss) I ordered lamb karahi, Nan & Lamb Biryani...wow!!! It was amazing, couldn't fault it. The flovours bursting through was excellent and the portion I got was generous. I eat alot of curries and cook myself,so I know what a good or bad curry is,but this was the best in a long time.I also like the fact that they have their own butchers next door. The gentleman who cooked my food was really hospitable & went out of his way to take me round to their butchers, because I couldn't see where it was (it's slightly hidden down an alley), the butchers appeared very clean, just like the restaurant, I was impressed with the hygiene. Please give this restaurant a try, I'm glad I did & glad I ignored the negative reviews. I'll definitely be going back, it's going to be my new regular. One word of warning! The lady behind the counter does ask you to put a mask on if you're not wearing one, in my opinion they are taking health & safety seriously & that's only a good thing.

Please please do not visit this restaurant. The staff are not only rude but threaten you physically if you complain about the food. They simply do not know how to cook. It was ok when mr. Popat (the original owner of charcoal kebab) was there, but since he joined forces with warsi it’s gone totally downhill !!

Ordered in, I can't believe such shocking service in this day and age, the lady manager/owner is too concerned with taking orders and taking payment but not fulfilling them whether easy or complex. They only take cash which is very annoying. They've got our order wrong on about 80% of occasions on the four times we went. Or they cook the order and either give it to another customer who has come after you or simply forget it's ready. About half an hour after the intiial order they tried to fob off the fact they simply forgot it was cooked making out it was my fault for not bringing it to their attention and the fact they were too busy! Never again, go with kebabish or charcoal grill round the corner. Never been soo annoyed or frustrated with a place esp when kids are waiting to be fed. Simply avoid, else you'll lose your appetite through frustration.

This is the first negative review I have written . Mr popat is no longer a driving force ( being the old owner of the original charcoal a few doors up ) The prices have gone sky high , restaurant is usually empty , and food quality is lacking . As with other reviews ,the restaurant doesn't have the magic popat touch . If you don't change your quantity , quality and service , you will continue to lose long standing customers who have been with popat over 20 years !

What use to be a reputable place for kebabs when thr ex Charcoal kebabs owner sold his marinate recipe to them. If he is not there dont order. I made a mistake last night. My son loves kebabs. Being a Friday night we ordered 3 hot chicken shish kebabs and a doner kebap. When we got our order home, so disappointed to find that all the chicken raw and doner like cardboard. I called to complain and the restaurant hung up. Do not waste your time and money at this place.

We ordered various food such as meat samosas, lamb shish chips and salad and a few other dishes. I think Mr Popat has left because before the portions were a decent size, nowadays the lamb is pretty much tasteless and you have to ask for extra salad as the amount they give is a really small amount. The samosas were terrible and very oily and the pastry was broken meaning that half the filling was outside. The problem you have is that they are generally the best Ines for menu in terms of lamb/chicken shish with chips and salad. Kebabish round the corner is much better value and the service is much quicker. We were told on the phone our order will be 20 mins but it took more than 40 mins

We used to go to Mr Popat regularly when it was Charcoal, when we found out Mr Popat was back at Warsi we returned. However, where she the food is excellent today was very disappointing. The chicken was over cooked and dry with burnt edges. The bread was put on top of sheet of paper, so when the sauce leaked it caused the paper to stick to the food. So whilst eating the food and you find paper in your mouth it's not very pleasant. Mr Popat please sort your staff out, and standard of cooking, we were all very disappointed.

Un salto en el tiempo de almuerzo, como otros tenía hambre y vi escrito en el letrero "mejor original en la ciudad" Sheesh Kebabs o algo así. Me encanta kebabs.

I can't believe my experience at this establishment. My last three experience have been substandard but this one takes the biscuit. I ordered 4 fish kebabs. They told me to come in 25 minutes ...we did and they made us wait 45 minutes. When we reached home all 4 WERE COMPLETELY BURNT !!!!!!! We drove 20 minutes again to show them that it was inedible and they said they don't have any fish kebabs left .. Fine ...we asked that we want our money back as 3 of them were untouched and they refused. They wanted to charge us £12.45 to order something else as the contents were disturbed. After arguing with them it was 9:45pm and we left hungry and angry. Even though they admitted they were burnt and we had been waiting for over an hour for the food they wanted to charge us to order something else. The lady at the front was very arrogant. This restaurant is run by greedy, rude ,unprofessional group of people who have no idea how to run a restaurant and don't understand the meaning of customer service. There reputation is spreading and we should have listened. Just look at the past feedback it says it all. I will NEVER order from them again !!!

Had a similar experience to other reviewers when ordering a take away last night, this will be the last time we order from this establishment. We ordered over the phone to avoid a long wait for food in the shop, we arrived to pick up our order & it wasn't not ready for us , we reminded the "manageress" that we had telephoned the order to avoid a long wait and we were rudly told telephone orders get no priority. We eventually got our order home and we were two Chicken Shish short! We telephoned and explained the situation and asked what they were going to do to resolve- the lady I spoke to was rude, patronising and dishonest ( I asked to speak to the manger and she said she was the manager) I pointed out that we had to wait for 30 mins in the shop for our order and she kept insisting it was ready as soon as we arrived, she than insisted on speaking to the person who collected the order and kept insisting that the order was correct- she said she wanted me to return all the food so she could see it- I pointed out that we had already served it and it wasn't until all the food was handed out did we realise what was missing! By the end of the call I was told as a gesture of goodwill she would make the missing items up for us and we would need to collect- I pointed out that she had not even had the courtesy to apologise and she replied by telling me she doesn't need to apologise as they didn't do anything wrong!! It was a large order , I can understand mistakes happen but the way it was dealt with was not acceptable - the manager lacks basic customer service skills- How this restaurant is still in business I do not know , there are much better local take away's, if your looking for a good kebab you cant go wrong with Melissa in Canons Park - AVOID-AVOID-AVOID

Went with my wife for the second time in less than a month. We enjoy this place as it serves hot fresh food which tastes great and is reasonably priced. For starters we always have the Sheek Kebab and Tandoori Chicken wing (skinless) - both have amazing flavour.Mains were good but not amazing. We have had Chicken Dopiaza and Keema Peas - lovely with their Garlic Naans which are fresh and delicious...Service wise i can see why some people would get frustrated. But to be fair one of the waitress and waiters seem new to the job and are learning there way. There is a hostess there who is very professional and warm and try's her best to keep everyone happy. They offer a Bring Your Own Boos service and are happy to provide glasses for you. Overall it's a great little place that serves everything fresh and is extremely good value... Give it a try for sure.

Ordered takeaway and was given the wrong order. Got home and rang them explaining the situation and was told my next order will be free. Next time I went, they seem to have forgotten who I was and the situation (how convenient) The manager even walked out the restaurant to the next shop to get something, how rude! Eventually, I was given one of my dishes for free, even though my entire order was wrong last time. I was made to wait 30 minutes for my takeaway, even though I ordered over the phone (they wanted to see me in person as I told them this order should be free) While I was waiting, at least 3-4 customers were given the wrong order, they have no systematic working way! Came to warsi:Waited over an hour for food, tables who came after us had eaten and left before our food came. One curry came without the nan which came a bit later.Starters came after the mainVegetarian main took additional time to get to the table (was later informed that's the quickest dish they make). They were not overly business but another customer who came to collect a takeaway was disgusted to have been waiting for an hour too! There was only one waiter who spoke very little english.Because of the extremely poor service we anticipated to leave by 9 at latest (got there for 7) but food didn't arrive before 8.30pm and the last dish at 8.50pm. Left just before 10.Food not worth the wait, few of us felt slightly ill later. When raising these concerns with the management, their justification was they mentioned it was extremely busy- no one in the group had heard this. When we asked, do you find it acceptable to wait a minimum of an hour; have you experienced this when dining- she didn't answer. She said we can resolve this later. It was extremely tempting to walk out after 30 mins! They showed a lack of empathy and charged us the full amount; we raised these issues again and all they could say us "no we can't reduce the bill". The mangeress even said if we hadn't eaten the meal then they could have done something- so they wanted us to wait until the food arrives and then get it taken away..Service poor, food less than average, no locks in the toilets, only last year was this place awarded the lowest hygiene rating from food standards agency. Trust the reviews!! Next door is meant to be great :-)

This is a no thrills restuarant, the seating isn't restaurant standard and the service is ok. But the food is WOW. Don't expect a quick service as most of the kebeb are cooked long and slow. The lamb cutlets are AMAZING, this is a must for every time we go. The fish kebab is a little spicy , lamb chicken shish kebabs are excellent and well the mix grill gives you everything for £15. The two of us are usually stuffed after mix grill and extra lamb chops. If you get the old guy cooking you know your on to a winner. I have been coming to this place for years and used to visit it when it was Charcoal Kebab a few doors down (the owners subsequently opened up as Warsi). I drive from Surbiton in Surrey to pick up a mixed shish with salad and pitta bread and it never fails to disappoint. The main owner is very grumpy and borderline rude but all is forgive as the food is tasty. This place has recently changed cooks and the food is awful. I went there with my pregnant wife, and the following happened:1. They served her mushroom rice and a vegetable curry in two dishes. She found a piece of hair in there.2. Upon complaining, they disputed it was a piece of hair. My wife showed them it was black hair and showed them she has brown hair.3. They did not apologise and offered to take away her plate where she dished out the food and replace it. They offered her a new plate.4. She said how will a new plate help, the hair is in one of the two dishes so I do not want to serve myself again.5. Lady took the dishes away and said she would not charge.6. My wife who was pregnant was put off her meal. The lady insisted that she wanted to make something else and offered to make peshwari naan. 7. This came but it was salty as opposed to sweet.8. We complained. The lady told my wife it was her hormones and her tastebuds were funny.9. We made the lady taste the food. She then admitted they had added salt instead of sugar.10. They then remade a new one.Awful experience.I also found hair in my kebab too.The service provided and food is awful and I would never go back again.

RUBBISH! DISGUSTING CUSTOMER SERVICE! We ordered our food over the phone and they said 25 minutes...we got there 25 minutes later and the food hadn't even been cooked so we waited. Finally one dish got cooked but when we asked where the other part of the order was, it wasn't even cooking yet therefore one dish got cold as they dont have those heated cupboard things to keep food warm. We waited a further 5-10 minutes to find out they still haven't cooked it! Finally it was getting cooked so we asked for another kebab to be made, the reply was you will have to wait! Then we got asked if we wanted to cancel our order....WHAT! That is someones dinner! NO APOLOGIES were recieved, no good will gestures and the owner avoided eye contact. They acted like they were busy, there were only 4 people in the restaurant and 3 waiting for take away and all the orders were messed up! RIDICULOUS! BRING BACK CHARCOAL KEBAB AND THEIR OWNERS!!! Me and a friend made the terrible mistake of eating in this establishment... Huge mistake. This parade contains some great places to eat which I would not hesitate in recommending, however where do I start with warsi... It took us over an hour to receive our food, the waitress spoke such poor English that another waitress had to follow her and double check our order!!! Hardly expect to wait such a ridiculously long time in an EMPTY restaurant. By the time our food arrived my friend had already given in and polished off the samosa chaat we bought from across the road, which was amazing Btw. To add insult to injury when the food had finally arrived it was awful... Everything was undercooked and pink inside. So we ate a few bits, left some money on the table and walked out to no apology from the staff. Please do not waste your money in this place as there are some amazing places to dine in Harrow. The final nail in the coffin in my short, turbulent relationship with warsi came this morning as I sit in my toilet!!! (NOT NICE I PROMISE YOU) writing this review wishing we went to skip jacks!!! Went for dinner on a Monday night so the place was pretty much empty hence expected the service and the food to be prompt and helpful. But was so wrong ..... Ordered Tandoori chicken, the waitress told she will have to check if they have it or not but then confirmed she had it. Upon arrival the chicken was dry, chewy and overcooked with black burnt marks all over it. When questioned, I was reliably tolf by the waitress that, "this is how we serve the chicken". Never mind, ordered a curry and roti, the curry arrived but the roti was forgotten, when reminded, the roti arrived but hey it had a crease in it due to which it was uncooked. Finally, had to replace the overcooked, dry chicken chicked biryani as we did not even touch the chicken. I was surprised that we were charged for the chicken that we never touched and sent it back. We paid and left. Didn't want to argue as will never return again. Overall verdict, personally speaking there are many other restaurants with similar menu on that parade so I will always visit those and avoid Warsi at all costs.

OK, it's not a restaurant for an evening out, nor it's a fancy place. Yes, you may end up waiting for your food, but to be honest, only thing I go to Warsi for is their charcoal cooked Chicken Kebab. These are brilliantly marinated, and not many chicken kebabs I've had have been moist as these. As a place? It's clean, it's basic, service is ok, and it's a good value for money. But I would difentely recoomend you popping by for a Spicy hot chicken kebab. True, as this place is popular for kebabs, you may end up waiting for a while.

Date Line - 16-3-14We were hungry - me and my friend (yes I know it’s bad grammar - but when you're hungry bad grammar is the least of one's problems) - A flyer had been shoved through my letter box (now now no bad jokes please!) A gaily coloured leaflet about a restaurant & takeaway called Warsi. “Hmm - I hmmed” as one does – is this owned by the lovely politician Baroness Warsi? Anyway on this afternoon me and my friend; who shall remain nameless; to protect the guilty and the Scottish Highlands; thought we’d go there, have a snack and bring some curries back to tuck in whilst playing Ludo. The place looked okay from the outside – inside it looked clean and tidy. It had one of those new trendy ideas sort of thing – you know; where the food is cooked at one side of the place whilst you dine on another side. Thus allowing you to see the ‘chefs’ at play. Good idea? Well maybes. A few diners were waiting for their orders checking their watches and yawing. We sat at a table and a waitress came with the menus – we checked these advertisers of mouth-watering fayres and I ordered a Kebab Roll with Tandoori Naan. My friend (who shall still remain nameless) ordered a Mix Shish. Then we waited – sorry we also ordered a large bottle of water. This came fairly quickly with 2 glasses. No ice nor were we asked if we wanted any.Whilst we waited we talked about this and that but not the other – no need for that sort of thing here please! The people who had been checking their watches and yawning, were still at this pastime for some more time until their orders were delivered – I noticed one had developed a ‘ five o’clock shadow’ by now.Us two? Well we waited and waited – I felt like telling the waitress that until our order came – would it be alright if I went home; redecorated my front room, did the weekly shopping, wrote a best seller and cleaned the windows? And so Father Time got a little older and then ‘Hallelujah, ring out the bells and tell ET not to phone home’ our order came. The waitress plonked 2 plates on the table and left. Not even a ‘Sorry’ or an ‘Enjoy your meal and if you need anything’ you know the sort of thing a good waiter or waitress should do and say.So we tucked in.Oh’ God’ Big mistake. The food was absolute Crap with a capital Crap – excuse my language but IT WAS CRAP!The kebabs were hard (normally made from minced Lamb) these seemed as if they were made from minced Inner Thigh of Dinosaur. Talk about tough - Where is that man Jaws when you need him? And the taste I hear you ask? What taste is my reply? The kebabs had no taste and they were burnt. Did we complain? My friends said “No leave it, just eat up and go and forget the takeaway.”As I was chewing on these poor excuses for Kebabs I looked at the cooking area and saw the ‘Chef’ preparing some meat dish. Seemed like he knew what he was doing until he sneezed all over the food. Then wipe his nose on his hand and carry on.Well that was it for me!I mean you wait and you wait for what seems like - since Pontius was a Pilate and the food is CRAP and then I see what passes for good hygiene!Where did this ‘Chef?’ do his training? Down a sewer? We left the half-eaten food and went to leave – the bill was paid and I told the waitress about the sneezing bit and the nose wiping bit and instead of being disgusted, tear up the bill and apologise most profusely; she looked unfazed and just said “I’ll keep it mind.”And guess what? My friend left a tip! For Pete’s sake why leave a tip? “I always do.” was the reply. One of my pet hates is (or should it be are?) Tips. Why do we leave give Tips? Tips should be given for good service – RIGHT? You know I’m Right! Not for shoddy service. We give Taxi Drivers Tips – Why? All they do is reach behind and open a door. How many actually get off their backsides, help with luggage etc? Well how many? And people still give them Tips! For crying out loud -Before you even step inside a taxi there are pounds already on the meter!Let me ask you something – Do you ever give a Tip to your GP? A Surgeon who’s just saved your life?A Bus Driver? An Airline Pilot?A Nurse? And Men, when was the last time you gave Tips to your wives for cooking, cleaning, washing your smalls, letting you kiss them even when you have bad breath. So stop all this Tipping nonsense! Sorry about that Dear Reader but it makes my blood boil when we hand out money for nothing because we think it’s the done thing. So Dear Reader my advice - if you’re ever in that part of the world and you’re feeling peckish – avoid this establishment like the plague. But if you want nasal contents etc on your food; then the Warsi Restaurant & Take Away in Kenton Harrow London is for you.And if some bloke comes here and tries to shove a Warsi flyer through my letterbox? I’ll tell him where he can! I sure hope that the very lovely Baroness Warsi is not connected with this toilet.Back home we had cheese sandwiches for tea.Well I suppose that’s it for now – I’ve had several glasses of Liver Salts since and now pondering if I should seek hypnotism to wipe away the image of this disgusting place from my mind.Be luckySin-Hombre

We went here after spending the day in Harrow. I love Persian food so was excited to try, however we were left very disappointed. The food was tasteless and service was poor. If you want good Persian, go to Persian Palace or Alounak
