We went here after spending the day in Harrow. I love Persian food so was excited to try, however we were left very disappointed. The food was tasteless and service was poor. If you want good Persian, go to Persian Palace or Alounak

I went with 2 other people, we were interested to try Persian food and the place looked okay. However, it was empty, lacking atmosphere and although the waiter was friendly the food was absolutely horrendous. Definitely not worth going to, which is a shame.

This is the place to come to if you like big portions. Service was very friendly and none rashed. The decor could do with updating but this does not distract from the good food.

I went there with a friend to try it out because I'm new to the area, I ordered a Vegetarian soup and veggie skewer. For some reason they felt it prudent to put my skewer on my friends plate, it wasn't an accident cos the waiter even said "I've put your skewer on her plate", I don't know why that would even be a thing, anyway, I took my vege skewer off of my friends lamb skewer.... and turned to the vege soup. Accidently I'd been given a meat one, no problem, accidents happen, "I'll take it to the chef and we'll get you a new one made up", not a problem I thought to myself, altho when it came there were still little bits of meat in the soup. What they had done was take the meat soup to the kitchen, and just scoop the meat out, leave it on the side for 5 minutes and gave it back to me, which is utterly disrespectful. I said I'd pay for the starter as it was acceptable, and then the waiter told me that all the soup is made the same way and what makes it vegetarian is the fact they scoop the meat out at the end of cooking. I then thought I was being taken for a mug and said I'm honestly not happy paying for any of it now. The waiter saw things from my side at that point and I walked out. Never eat here, ever. The chef didn't even have the minerals to show his face.

Perhaps if you are just passing by and don't know anything about iranian food this place May just about make you happy but it's definitely not an iranian restaurant A confused approach at best There's plenty of good iranian restaurants worth travelling to but this definitely isn't oneFrom dried tasteless koobideh ,which should be a signature dish as it's the national dish of Iran.Followed by just as poor koresht. (Iranian curry)And portion sizes befitting kids mealsTried them twice as they are so local to me but second time worst than firstA big big thumbs down

Food is very traditional Iranian not very oriental spicy food. It may not suit all. Apart from that service is quite sluggish sometimes.I like some food like chello, koobideh, chili hummus as recommended. Paloudeh as dessert is also good. Ambience and decoration of the restaurant is good as well. So it is a mixed bag.

Well, where do I start with this one?A very good friend of mine wanted to thank me for some help I'd given him recently. He actually recommended this restaurant as it is close to us and he'd eaten there before and said the food was great. Poor guy was so embarrassed at the way we were treated. The service from beginning to end was terrible. We were left to seat ourselves and found the cleanest looking table that was sort of laid out and a little dirty - white paper tablecloth had a few marks on but being polite we just sat down and made the most of it. Then we were 'served',no, thrown a menu. The menu was dirty, sticky dirty eew. We weren't asked if we wanted anything to drink straight away. My friend had to approach the waiter on the other side of the restaurant. The waiter was not pleasant in his manner at all. Okay, I'll admit there was a language barrier but it was more than that, it was like he just didn't care.We ordered a starter and a main course. The hummus starter was okay but didn't have all the things with it that were listed in the menu. The main course was dire. I'd ordered a chicken in pomegranate and walnut sauce with rice. My friend ordered a marinated lamb dish with rice. I got chicken with rice and he got lamb with rice. Both the chicken and the lamb were exceptionally dry to the point that both were hard. There was no flavour at all. No sauce. No marinate. Just dry food. We realised that there wasn't anything we could say about the lamb because it may have been marinated before it was cremated. But my chicken was obviously bare. No sign of a sauce. I generally will not complain about my food, I'll just leave it but my friend felt he should say something. He walked over the other side of the restaurant - there was no other way of getting the waiter's attention - he explained about the chicken having no sauce. Some time later the waiter appeared and drearily put a tiny pot and teaspoon on the table. In the pot was balsamic vinegar. "That is the pomegranate and walnut sauce" says the waiter. "No it is balsamic vinegar", I replied and then like some kind of farce this carried on until we had mayonnaise, tomatoes and some chopped up raw onions. According to the waiter all of them were the elusive pomegranate and walnut sauce. At our request a businessman from the next table tried to help with the language but he'd had terrible service too and got no where either. We all left most of our meals. No discount was given. Bill was just over £40. We had no drinks other than water. My friend argued a £3 discount off my meal but that took ages and was like pulling teeth. The businessman said he knew the owner and would pass on my friend's number. I thought that maybe there would be an apology and an invitation back to have a proper, nice meal. It has been a fortnight now and as we've heard nothing from them I assumed they just don't care so I thought I'd write this review. I signed into tripadvisor and saw all the other bad reviews. Yep. Just avoid the Prince of Persia.

Hummus starter very good indeed. Sweet course (paclava) not bad. Main course was a ghastly "stew" consisting of tasteless lumps of lamb swimming in an unpleasant sauce and surrounded by huge gloppy lumps of aubergine. Even the finest starter in the world would not have been good enough to erase the awful memory of the stew. Back to the drawing board chaps!

Well where do I begin.. We ordered a takeaway on boxing day . We were told the order must be minimum £25 because of lack of drivers. Fair enough. Our order arrived but without half of the things we ordered. Called them again and the manager said we spent money on Taxi for delivering your meal and will have to pay again if we send The OrderThey Missed!! I explained its not my problem the fault is at their end and they should be liable for it. I need my complete order which I paid for. The taxi driver came with our stuff but refused to give it unless we paid £14 for the taxi fare as instructed by the manager.. by this time it was 9:40pm we ordered our meal at 7:45pm. After a huge argument with the manager absolutely refusing to pay for taxi fare and the owner screaming at the back. We had to pay half the fare ourselves ... such a bad experience with the staff second time round. This place is a no no as they never have enough staff, rude behaviour and crumbling management! !

One of the worst Persian Restaurants in London! I felt ashamed to be Persian just by visiting this disgusting restaurant!! Firstly the over sized owner was extremely rude and arrogant to me, more or less told me where to sit!! The food was way way over cooked and tasted like DRIED UP CHEWING GUM!!! The so called freshly made bread was almost cremated!!! They simply do not know the meaning of Persian cuisine and decent customer service.

I went to the restaurant with my family. This was 2 adults and 3 young kids. I had to ask the only person working there where I should sit, he looked at me shrugged his solder and said anywhere. It was like why are you asking me? This was not very welcoming. The food was not great - Mixed grill £23.50 for feast for two, but it was not that much food and tasted very processed. The naan it was put on was soggy. A can of diet coke cost £1.70....yes £1.70. They could not provide little plates or bowl for the kids to eat in either. Very upsetting. The decor was very out dated and there was a manikin in the corner dressed up in traditional clothes looking very scary. Also when you look up at the ceiling near the aircon and also in the toilets there was signs of condensation and the wall paper/ pain was flakey and peeling off. It did not feel clean at all. Finally when paying the bill, there was a sign saying card machine not working (How long has that sign been there?) - Anyway when looking at the bill a compulsory service charge of 10% was added to my bill! – No happy with that. I'm not going there again... good luck if you want to try.

Do not even attempt to dine here.Persians (like myself) are known to be the most warm and welcoming people. You will get no such thing from the staff here. Rude and impatient comes to mind. The food was dire- bland, dry and what seemed at times to be microwave heated (as some parts were warmer than others). If you want to try top Persian food go to areas like Finchley, Ealing, Kensington- where Persians typically live and always dine out. It was odd finding a Persian restaurant in Harrow, but we decided to try it at- we only have ourselves to blame.

I have always wanted to dine here, having gone past it on several occasions. It looks really nice from the outside so my husband booked a table for Valentines Day, it was meant to be a surprise. We got there and were guided to our table. It took 10 minutes before we got our menus. It took another 15 minutes before our order was taken. We got our drinks though. Then we waited and waited and waited. An hour later and still no sign of any food, we paid for our drinks and walked out. It was the worst service I have experienced in any eaterie. They were too busy serving a large party rather than focusing on their other customers. I have told people not to go there. This restaurant needs to change on their service and attitude. I don't think I will be going back.

Food.. o my gosh!, delicious; variety of starters and of course bread ( best ever ), main course: succulent chicken and lamb kebabs and fantastic rice.Everybody enjoyed the meal and there was plenty left over for us to take home.Huge thanks to the owner who helped me to make that special lunch even more special.I highly recommend Prince of Persia. Having dined here just after they opened a couple of years ago and had a pretty bad experience, we decided to give them another chance, hoping that it was only teething problems we experienced back then. Sadly not much has improved. We went here for a meal with another couple and were pretty horrified by how rude the (manageress) was.We knew what we wanted to order but she refused to accept our choices and forced us to order 4 other dishes we neither wanted nor had any interest in. She basically accused us of being cheap and not ordering a traditional Iranian meal, but surely the diner should be allowed their own free choice ?! We also ordered a lot and would've been happily full with our own order, but with her additional forced dishes we couldn't finish (and didn't really want to as weren't enjoying the food).Dry, overcooked meat, dry rice, tiny overpriced portions for many of the dishes and a few of them weren't what they were advertised to be (they gave us more basic versions with missing ingredients from the menu's descriptions). We queried this politely and she told us we clearly didn't know about this kind of food (even though we eat Middle Eastern food all the time and the other couple we dined with were from Iran !).After we'd finished our mains we decided to give them another chance and tried to order a couple of desserts. She told us we had to order 4 (!) and when we said no, she insisted on adding things to our desserts (and charged us for 4 anyway) !We weren't allowed to order tap water (!) and when it came time to pay the bill, we wanted to leave our choice of tip amount, but she told us there was a mandatory minimum (actually illegal to do so) and in the end we just paid it and walked out, never to return.Avoid this place unless they sort out these customer service issues. The restaurant looks lovely from the outside and has so much promise, sadly let down by the rude and pushy manageress.

My wife and I had lunch at this restaurant. Around 1.30 in the afternoon when there were just two other people in the restaurant we expected a slightly better service than the usual 'any table' by an unkempt waiter as though he couldn't care less. He behaved throughout our visit as though he had bad news from home 20 years back and hadn't gotten over that since. Even though they are listed on Gourmet Society list - he refused accept our's saying they don't accept. Other than giving us Menus on arrival practically we had to walk to the counter every time we needed to order. We had two starters and shared a main course - main course was supposed to baby aubergine based but I doubt even microscopic examination of the dish would have revealed any aubergine - it was just peas and mushroom mash with lentils in what seemed like tinned tomato gravy. Starters were just about passable - I have eaten much better hummus at Saher just across the road from them and even at Hummus Bros. Height of arrogance was when we asked a pack some rice which was left over - the waiter brought us two boxes and asked us pack it ourselves - unless it is a Persian custom not to pack doggy bags - I'd say it was an offensive behavior - no carry bag offered either. Add to this a mandatory 10% service charge for non-existent service - I'd say avoid this restaurant.

I think I have found my favourite restaurant!!! Loved the vegetarian starters and the rice with the main courses was amazing! The best was the freshly baked bread, probably the best I have ever had. The oven is right in front of the sitting area, keeping the place warn but not too hot and you can smell the flat bread baking. Amazing and can't wait to go back for more.

I at here on a recommendation from a friend but won't be going back. The starter was ok, hummous and persian naan bread at £4.50.For the main I ordered falafel, naan bread and a side order of fries. The falafel was exactly the same shape, size, colour and bland taste as the ones my local kebab shop started buying in. Very uninspiring. The "french fries" were actually McCain's Crinkle Cut Oven Chips, which set me back £3 for a small bowl. There's no alcohol on sale here nor any mention of you being able to bring your own, I opted for a diet coke, which was at least fresh from the can. There was a mandatory 10% service charge added to the bill for plonking my food on the table. At no point did the waitress ask if my food was ok nor did she bother to ask why I had left most of my main course (including the whole bowl of chips bar the one I tried!).I don't mind kebab shop food, but I don't like it when it is dressed up as something else and it costs me £20 for the privilege of finding out.

I went here with my family on a Sunday evening. Parking is a slight problem but the car park behind Debenhams is free on Sundays. It was quite busy for a Sunday but there was still plenty of tables anda nice atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful as some of the dishes were new to us. We had salad olivieh, tabbuli and humous to start (£3.50 each). They were freshly made and really good. Ther strange thing was thet bread came as an extra at £1, but was big. The lamb kebabs were good and came with salad, rice and roast vegetables (£12 & £13). The prawns however, were small and dried out (£11.50). The Baghlava portion was very small but only cost £3.50. I would recommend the Bastani to anyone who likes pistachio ice-cream. It was topped with a red liquid, rose water, which tasted like Fry's Turkish delight and was really good at £4.50. The menu was good and had a whole page of different stews. The decor was ok except for the dummy woman in the corner, weird!!
