WALTER and MONTY in City of London, Westminster

Got presented with this via office catering, but the salads are tasty, feel like they are doing you good and have a bit of a fancy feel to them. Having checked the prices afterwards online, I was expecting them to be higher, so I consider them fair.

Scotch bonnet dressing. Was covered in it. Over the top. Ate half couldn't manage more. Stomach pains rest of day. Spice is nice, not a competition to see if you can erode a person's stomach. Please, some consideration to your patrons.

5* - an absolutely delicious lunch and great service. Highly recommend a visit to this little gem!!!

This is my go-to place for lunch as the food is tasty and the staff are great. It's gets busy which is another indicator that people like it!

They don’t even explain what are putting in and given that the cashier can’t explain well certainly does not help. When you ask for beef and salad you gotta guess what they are going to put in. She made the box and I asked whether she could remove the pickles as I just asked for beef and salad. She dodges the question a couple of times pretending she is busy with other clients. In the end they handle over the box and I ask them to remove the pickles: “next time you just say all salads with no pickles, ok?”. Noooooo you take back the freaking box and do a new one, what about it? Bad customer service. The meat was also quite tasteless to be honest.

This place is tucked right behind the Gherkin and has limited seating inside and out. It’s a fast moving place where you order at the till a box or wrap with choice of salads, meats or falafel and a variety of sauces to choose from. Went for the chicken box with all the salad and a chill lime sauce. Freshly made and very delicious. Chicken was grilled perfectly and was hot and juicy. London prices as expected. But worth having once for the taste.

Had such a good meal here , complete hidden gem in the city. The beef was out of this world, salads too. Pretty obsessed with it! Will def come again

Great food you really won’t find a better quick lunch in London perfect for a cheeky lunch time meal, just a shame they aren’t open longer!

This place is jolly expensive for a lunch al desko, and today the service was: a) disinterested behind the till b) gave me beef when my order, as on my ticket, was lamb. Only discovered this back at my desk. Tbf the beef was very good. I've been twice in a year, won't bother again.

Great, fast service and really tasty food. My portion was so small though, especially compared to my colleagues. I paid £7.50 for half a salad.

Was taken here by my UK colleagues to grab a box lunch and head back to the office. Simple menu but delightful options and thoroughly enjoyed. Would definitely go back. I had the steak and it was well prepared, a good portion and very tasty. Had a little of each of the salads which were all tasty. Sweet potato fries were good to share.

The steak is nice.....couple of pieces were really tough and chewy which was a shame. Its only open for 3 hours eqch day ao can get really busy and theres not many seats. If you can get ther around 2ish before it shuts at 2.30 then the queue is non-existent.

My colleague recommended me to this restaurant. it’s always packed during lunch hours, but queue is rather fast moving given its efficient operation. do expect at least 10 minutes from ordering to receiving your order. the restaurant offers grilled meat (beef, lamb, chicken) with salads (and pickles) to go with fajita bread or rice. you can of course ditch the carbo but still paying the same price. you then have 5-6 types of sauce to choose. i am rather surprised with the quality of meet. i ordered grilled beef (brazilian picanha) to go with salad and white bbq sauce and paid £8.50. thought the beef is excellent! it’s medium and tender. salad is lovely too. i will definitely pamper myself every alternate week!

The various salads were good. With the rice they should leave the cardamon pods in whole so you can fish them out easier - they had broken bits of cardamon so at time you would get a nasty mouthful. The beef steak was gristly and chewy so not good. P.s their website pictures won't load in most corporate company PC's as the pictures are Instagram based so blocked.

Walking round pondering what I can have to break the normal lunchtime blandwich monotony and I stumbled on Walter & Monty.. What do you get? Salad box or wrap (I had the box) and then you select your protein...grilled halloumi, beef, lamb or chicken..pickles and sauce. So the salad is varied and fresh. The meat is excellent, really well cooked and seasoned, clearly decent quality. I had beef and chicken..and was probably a bit too much for lunch..but I ate it all! It's quite busy but service was fast and efficient enough. If I have a criticism it was the time it took from cutting the meat to putting the sauce on and handing it to the customer..unfortunately the meat cools quiet quickly.. That said I still really enjoyed, immediately recommended and will return! (Maybe tomorrow)

I get a lunch from Walter & Monty at least twice a week. Their meat is grilled and delicious and their salads and veg with dressing is amazing. The only reason I don't eat there daily is because it becomes quite pricey for an everyday...

Very good salad, good mix of veg and use of spices. Meat is always tender and moist, excellent spot for getting a quick, healthy and tasty lunch.

Nice salads and great wraps. The Halloumi wrap is my favorite, with some garlic and galopenas, it works perfectly.

Walter & Monty was recommended to me and I'm glad I tried it. One of my top 5 places to get my lunch. A little on the expensive side but it's all fresh and the service is excellent. They all look like they enjoy there...

Yum yum yum! Walter and Monty is melt in your mouth delicious. All of the food is fresh and tasty and the meat is all cooked fresh in front of your eyes. All of the meals are nutritious and filling, you will not be left...

The food here is amazing & the service is great, really quick when you're on your lunch break. The staff are always friendly and enjoying themselves, it's a really fun atmosphere. Would definitely recommend. Also lovely seating in the courtyard in the sun.

Wow. Just had chicken in a box, with potato salad, pea mix, rice, salad, cauliflower with almonds covered in a white bbq sauce. Just wow! Really enjoyed it. Fab flavours. Will definitely return.
