Walmer bridge tandoori in South Ribble

Convenient online ordering for a specific collection time. All the cooking is done in open view of customers. My order was being packed as I arrived and was complete. It was piping hot and absolutely delicious with spicing exactly to my taste. The staff are friendly, welcoming and happy to cater for last minute amendments to orders. I’m happy to drive the short distance to collect my order as this takeaway is discernibly the best in the area.

All Indian curry dishes are excellent and good value from this take-away in Walmer Bridge. Friendly helpful staff too.

Food was barely warm at 7:30pm. Rice dry, lamb grisly, bhajis overcooked. Remainder good but off-warm. 6/10

Good that you can watch your meal being cooked, not good some of the practices I observed. The cloth that is regularly used to wipe down around the pans is in a shocking state, brown and obviously filthy., at one point the cook also wiped round the top of a pan with the cloth !! The member of staff making the man breads walked into the adjoining kitchen preparation area and emptied the contents of his mouth and throat directly into the bin, right in front of me !!! Not for me Thanks very much, I’ll open a Jar of Pataks at home

Just had a Tuesday evening takeaway from Walmerbridge. OMG. Food absolutely amazing. We had chicken chat, Peshwari Murgh chicken tikka and naan bread, onion rice and veg curry sauce. Only took 20 minutes to cook then a very short wait when we arrived to collect as they wanted to prepare the naan freshly. Less than £25 and it fed 3 adults with enough left over for my lunch tomorrow. Don’t normally have takeaways this early in the week, usually a Friday or Saturday treat but think I might make this a regular thing. Thanks Walmerbridge.

Everything on their huge menu is excellent and with little freebies they offer excellent value for money.

We are so blessed to have an Indian as good as this locally. VERY friendly staff and more importantly, the food is out of this world.. Khan special and vindaloo are as good if not better than any restaurant I have been to and I’m a curry fan! Very reasonably priced too.. Thanks fellas

Picked it up and it did smell like lamb, even though it was a chicken dish. The bag and all its content was covered in grease including the nann breads. Iv never felt so poorly a few hours later, even my daughter this morning ate some without me knowing and has had a bad tummy all afternoon

After reading rave reviews, We thought we would give Walmer Bridge tandoori a go. On picking up the order I witnessed burnt naan being placed in bags for other orders. On arriving home with my order a 10 minute drive away. The peshwari naan was black & could not be consumed, also missing from the order was a tray of rice. I rang the takeaway & in all fairness they said if I go back they would give me the rice & a new bread. A 20min round trip & food left to go cold. Finally when we get to eat the food after being in the microwave, It was disappointing, greasy not very flavoursome at all, the papadoms where soft & the curry was rather greasy. Sorry to say I will not be back again,I dont like leaving bad reviews but this place was a disappointment. Back to the silk route in future

Fantastic food and service, chicken jaflong is incredible as is balti garlic chilli chicken. Highly recommend

During these unnerving times my husband went to collect our food order. The service appeared fine and he collected the order from outside the empty shop at the time given. The order had chicken chat missing and what I think was meant to be pakora was a bag of crispy bits with some hard bits of chicken. Onion bhajis were burnt and awful. My medium hot curry sauce was mild. The only nice thing was the naan bread but I left most of my food. We were tired and didn’t want to go back simply because too much was wrong and we didn’t want to leave the house again. My husband got a dodgy tummy today. No second chances here.

Waited over half an hour but quite enjoyed watching the foods being prepared. Ordered several meals, 10 popadoms and 2 starters. Unfortunately my lamb dish was not as hoped, the lamb was very tough. The chicken dish was lovely though.

This is a quality fast food take away. A good menu range for all tastes and preferences and at fair value. It’s busy at peak times so order in good time for your collection - don’t leave it until the last minute as you will have to wait.

OK, it's a takeaway. But a very good takeaway. Last night, after a long journey from Devon we decided that a takeaway was a good idea. So, set meal for four. Large portions, lovely food, the set meals have a decent variety. Not overly hot but one of my son's doesn't like too much heat. I would have snuck a hotter curry in there. We are lucky to have such a good place in the village.

These days you don't have to go far to find an Indian takeaway wherever you are but this is a little further from home for me. That said, worth the longer drive because the choice and quality is well above the closer competition. Good value too.

Once we tried this take-away, we have always returned. Service very good, telephone orders taken and ready on time. The open kitchen is reassuring and the food has never disappointed. Good menu, often include a complimentary dishes with the order. Reasonably priced.

Excellant food all freshly cooked open kitchen so can see them making food polite and friendly service. Has become my favourite tandoori place i love it by the way portions are generous so go hungry !

This was once my local, I moved out the area but still visit every couple of weeks. You get free bhajis with every order and usually a veggie curry! The South Indian chilli chicken is superb!

Delicious food, only no delivery so probably don't use them as much. Definitely worth a visit if you enjoy authentic Indian food

We are regulars to Walmerbridge bridge tandoori and we always have an amazing meal. The staff are so attentive and always take time out to chat to us. The food is so outstanding and very very reasonably priced. We wouldn't go anywhere else!

A regular visitor here and the food is always spot on freshly cooked and mouth watering the staff are very nice and will cook you a special if its not on the menu just ask they are lovely people.

I ordered a prawn dish which came with an oily flavourless sauce and my partner ordered a chicken tikka massala. This was just a flavourless tomato sauce. This used to be a first class take away. It is now awful. Worst curry I've ever tasted. No herbs or spices. Avoid.

Had friends over for the weekend nd we ordered from here the meals were very oily and the meat was quite tough..!! Sorry we will not be going back

I like to give all local takeaways and restaurants at least once chance, there is nothing special about this place, generic Indian menu at an average standard (at best), with Tarleton Tandoori and Sangam close by it means this establishment will not be visited again

this is my favourite tandoori and i will travel for it. i especially enjoy there seek kebabs and yoghurt mint sauce.

These guys are absolutely spot on. I have an Indian from here every Saturday night without fail. It's spotless inside and the good thing is you can see the fellas cooking right in front of you. You get great portions and they even accept card payments, not just cash. The samber they do is out of this world and the staff are very friendly. I personally wouldn't eat from another Indian takeaway. Almost perfect
