Wallington Pizzeria in Sutton

This was my our first visit in years & what a fantastic evening we had,the Food & Service is superb,first class all round with generous portions,the restaurant has a lovely vibe too,we are already planning our next visit! I have used this Pizzeria regularly over the past few years; in particular with a largish group of friends once a year. Had aways had good, friendly service, some gentle banter and the food was always good. However, today (1st March) I went there to meet a friend - so far so good. However, I asked if the music could be turned down to which the Manager (as I was later to learn) said not to turn it down too much; well that started a big row as he said that he was the owner/manager and only he could say what happens in his restaurant. Told me in no uncertain terms that I should not be telling him what to do in his restaurant, it was his restaurant and only he could say what happens within it. I could not believe how rude he was and pointed this out to him; he said he didn't care and that I should leave his restaurant. His customer service is something I have never experienced anywhere in my (rather) long life. So me an my friend left his very empty restaurant - and I will never go back nor will I ever recommend it - such a shame because it was somewhere where I enjoyed going and had no hesitation in recommending to friends and acquaintances. I am sure the staff are fine, but the Manager.....! On my return journey home (around 2.30pm), having eaten in a great cafe in Beddington Gardens (highly recommended) with very friendly staff and excellent food, the Pizzeria was still empty! That tells you something. The cafe was full and very busy. DO NOT EAT HERE. The manager obviously has a high opinion of himself and absolutely no respect for his paying customers.

Great local restaurant. We have been here numerous times over the last few years. We had a family dinner on New Year’s Eve. The restaurant was busy, there was a great atmosphere and the staff were really attentive. The food was excellent and we would definitely recommend this restaurant.

We were one of possibly two or three tables in the entire, large restaurant the whole time we were there. Therefore the staff were not exactly run off their feet. We had a baby with us so we couldn't exactly walk out and easily find another place to go. We were so tempted though! Although the food was nice, one of us had to constantly get out of our chair to locate the waiter! It took forever to have our our order taken, to get some chilli oil, to get some black pepper, to get additional drinks, even to get the bill, someone had to get out of their seat to go and find him! I had a quiet word about how terrible the service was and he just stared at me! Approached the table sullenly to get our payments. No apology! As we were leaving, I noticed the manager had arrived so I explained to him about our experience. He did apologise but it is not a restaurant that I would ever go to again nor would I recommend.

Great atmosphere and decor and pretty outside area with lights. I always have the seafood linguine and it is always excellent

This was a great place to go.The staff was very calm and nice. The food was delicious. I will definitely come back another time.

I have been out with my friends to celebrate a birthday. In the moment we ordered the drinks, and we complained about the cocktail, the owner came and start shouting at us, very agressivly, sweering and ordered us go out of the restaurant. We felt very humiliated , he destroyed our birhday celebration. This is not proffesional. ,, Go to Mcdonald” he said. I am a manager at Mcdonalds and i never treated a customer like this. It was a very sad experience, and I WOULD NEVER RECOMaND THIS PLACE

Very rood staff and owner, shouting at us just because we complained about a drink. He has no manners, saying that or we like what he offers us or we get out. Very disrespectful in front of other customers. I would not recommend to anyone. Sad, we couldn't upload a video for everyone to see how miserable the owner was

Unpleasant experience that I don’t want to experience again. The owner shocked me with his attitude only because I expressed my opinion. He said he doesn’t care about the review I will leave and he has plenty of customers. Unfortunately I didn’t have the opportunity to test the food as I left, couldn’t stand his repulsive attitude. I don’t recommend this restaurant due to unprofessional staff and rude owner! I can not attach the video to demonstrate my review.

Visited on the off chance with my son who has just moved into the area. Friendly welcome and very good service. Restaurant was busy but didn’t have to wait long for freshly cooked snd tasty food. Pizzas were excellent, authentic and dessert was delicious. All very fairly priced. Will certainly return

Went with family to celebrate my sister's birthday. The service was truly amazing and so was our food. The staff were excellent especially our waitress. She was always on hand and very helpful considering that we were quite a large group . Keep up the good work and excellent service. Will definitely go back and highly recommend to family and friends. I was asked last Saturday 1st April 2024 to give a feedback, apologies I didn't do it earlier. But, I remembered today and I would like to say Thank you to all the Friendly Staff on Saturday Evening all polite, moreso on behalf of all my Family Guests our Waitress that served our table and was kind enough to take a photo of the Birthday Girl/Guests as she was so kind and I do not know her name, but she served the table Saturday night under the name of Sabrina Porter. We stumbled on this restaurant by mistake and it did not disappoint. Food was lovely, reasonably priced and the staff were really friendly. Would go there again 100%.

Good service, great margarita and good food. The service was attentive. Cocktail was great. Prawns and chorizo was ok. Needed more seasoning. Meaty pizza was good.thecqaiter did a good upsell with a large wine and thin crispy pizza. Overall a good local. Would go again

Lovely fresh pasta with fresh sauce, good pizza however calamari was a bit chewy, lovely outdoor seating however no smoking

Meals were great, service was exactly what you need when out with friends you don't see often, attentive but not pushy, gave us time to order, were ready as soon as we were. What I also like was plates were cleared promptly once we had all finished

I have been here a few times now, and I have loved it every time. Pizza's are lovely and the cocktails are yummy. Service can be a little slow but the food makes up for it.

Second visit after having an excellent first visit since autumn and the standards was just as high. Delicious food and good service made for a very pleasant evening.

Great pizzas and vegetarian dishes. We sat outside which is better than in, more of an atmosphere outside. It roughly worked out £30 a head, which I thought was a bit overpriced as we had one course and two drinks. Service is excellent.
