I wanna leave review for this gentleman called Anton, who works in the alcohol sector who left his section to go above and beyond and help me find a specific brand of kitkat Easter eggs.. I don’t know where this falls into gentlemen into operational structure, but this man deserves to be a service manager!!! if he isn’t one already He went above and beyond, excellent customer service... Thank you Waitrose and thank you Waitrose

Waitrose in my view is better than all the other supermarkets in the area, and I favour it over the others even if it closes slightly earlier (in fact, extremely rarely I need to shop between 10pm and 11pm). I’m a client of various Waitrose brunches in London zone-1 since 2007, and I’ve always been happy with their higher products quality. I also endorse their meal deal!

Yesterday I went do the Waitrose and I bought the stuff by £30 and I want to stamp the card for parking and he told me no you have to spend another £20 or you have to buy for the parking and I told him I think I misunderstand I don’t I don’t know I’m usually I’m coming and no one tell me that and he told me no you have he forced me to buy or are you pay for parking and I am at disabled person and he very very selfish he not understanding was Rash and I explained to him I am fasting. I am a disabled and he forced me to buy for parking in I buy I spent £30. What do you want to me to buy more? Very stupid guy it’s the first and last time I’m going to the Waitrose.

My local and my husband and I shop there every couple of days. I absolutely dread going in. Unfortunately, Waitrose’s reputation as a high end supermarket has gone to some of its staff’s head and they behave as if they are above their customers. I’ve been shopping at Waitrose Surbiton, Bath and Lincoln for over 20 years and I’ve never seen such an unfriendly and sometimes downright rude group of employees. Smiling, greeting or recognising regular customers is not something they do. And customer service can be non existent. At the self service, ignoring customers with till help lights on is the norm as they discuss their breaks and chat to each other. My husband smokes so I unfortunately also have to queue for the tobacco counter. In 3 months of 2/3 weekly visits I’ve only met one pleasant person at this counter who smiled at customers and I thanked him immediately and told the supervisor because it really is a rare sight. And he agreed with me by the way!!! The fish and meat counters is another I dread to go to and I have no choice but to deal with staff who seem to dislike conversing with customers. I almost fell over when I saw the regular security guard speak courteously to a customer he recognised. He always looks at me like I’m something he stepped on. Admittedly I always go in after I’ve been in the gym so I’m in a hoodie and casually dressed but it doesn’t matter if I walk in wearing rags. I’m still a customer. There is an extremely tall mixed race young man usually at the front packing online orders. He is always pleasant and polite and smiles. How I wish he supervised the self service checkouts. The current older man doing that job is so full of himself and so unhelpful I have to bite my tongue as he keeps me waiting or just ignores me every single time. There is a particular product I buy every week and is out of stock more than 50% of the time. I have spoken to 3 members of staff pleading that they order more than 4 packs a week but they just shrug. And I get vouchers for it but can never use it and again they just say they can’t help. Why? You have a popular product, at least me and another customer buy it every week and it’s always sold out. Why not order more? It has a shelf life of a year!! Customer service told me ordering is centralised and the store have no say in it!! Two stars because it’s convenient and clean. Please could you train your staff to improve their customer service. If they hate working there find out why. If they can’t stand dealing with customers help them do something else.

We have used this store since it opened. Easy car parking and great staff. Then we got lazy and started ordering online but Waitrose started running out of regular purchases So I went back looking forward to resuming my regular visits Store feels completely neglected and in need of a full makeover. Empty shelves, torn floor covering taped over in places, badly lit. Only 1 lift out of 3 working with queues It felt beige and uninspiring not the “Waitrose Experience” at all!! Still have great staff and easy parking

I knew where to go for what I wanted and had excellent customer service when i could find what I wanted on the counter. Fresh foods every morning stacked on shelves.

Brilliant store located on the first floor. Access via lift or escalator. Parking is also available at rear with minimum spend. Very spacious and stocks most things

Once again the price tag belongs to a different item with a lower price than the actual price that you will be charged at the till. This happens all the time which makes me wonder if it is a deceptive practice. This is an offence under The Consumer Protection Act 1987.

I love this market, it has everything, I especially love the semi-prepared foods for Christmas

I like shopping at this store as there are always fresh produce available! Sometimes there are some amazing discounts on name brands!

I had some bad experience with elderly Chinese ? Woman who collects expiring food for charity i been told. When i was shopping she followed me hurling rude insults across entire store. She was clearly ustable in her mind, but still, stresfull experience. I went to inform one of the staff about this lady, been told she does this towards other paying! customers. The staff told her to stay away but she kept insulting. I wonder if management noticed. someone should have a word with her as she puts customers away.

It is a large and well stocked store with a car park underneath that is free to those spending £50 or more. I only wish that more of their self checkouts were open to speed up the payment process.

Excellent. And compared with the Waitrose store on nearby Edgware Road, an entirely different experience. Bayswater is well stocked with just about everything you would expect to find. Not so the Edgware Road branch with its empty shelves and deserted feel. Wrong location, wrong demographics. Gulf tourists who occupy local properties much of the year don't shop at Waitrose.

Ordered grocery delivery through the UBER app this morning as I was having my son to lunch. I waited 2 1/2 hours only to have them cancel the entire order!! Appalling and ridiculous. This is London not some backwater. I was also charged £96 which still hasn’t been refunded. Disgusting. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

I despair of this branch!! Just removed a star to my review. None of the wines on offer have the offer label! (I double checked the prices with the app scan & go) I asked why to a partner wearing the wine apron. They seemed very lost and scared by my question, first said they were new and didn't know then said that is probably because the offers were expiring tonight... So, now the offer labels are removed at least half a day before the offers end?? ****** Below is my review from 2 months ago ***** More fruits and vegetables on the shelves nowadays, especially on Sunday. Improvement regarding the staff at self-service checkouts as overall more friendly. The Free Coffee machines are always broken, on & off. It's been 3 weeks this time for both of them. Long wait at Click & Collect / Customer service desk for any staff to show up and start helping. No weekly magazine last week-end (obscure reason of bank holiday given..).

Condescending lady at the self-checkout. I have been coming to this store for years, never had an issue. I shop and leave. It seemed like she profiled me. I asked for help and she gave a you don’t belong here tone. Even if she couldn’t help there’s a way to speak to people.

Intelligence levels in this branch are clearly below the global average as they've managed to scare away a high spending loyal customer, employing medieval tactics, that I never previously experienced in the civilised world, to protect themselves from unwanted elements (whilst branding themselves as an upmarket chain). You can't cure stupid so it's best to stay away.

Very put off by the behaviour of the customer service supervisor who works here (middle aged-looking, baldish, south asian male). He comes across as someone who has just been working there far too long to bother about his approach towards customers. I was at the self checkout tills scanning my groceries when I had to ask for help (the red light had come on). I had scanned a bunch of bananas which I had placed in a clear film bag, however the bag also contained a couple of loose bananas I had forgotten to take out to weigh and scan separately. On realising the error I apologised however the supervisor made me feel very uncomfortable in his manner of speech and even prodded/inspected my shopping bag after the issue had been resolved (which I found totally unnecessary). It is quite ridiculous that he would think I was shoplifting 2 bananas worth 30p, out of a total spend of £10! He did not directly say this, but it was clearly evident in his passive aggressive behaviour towards me. I am a local and shop there almost everyday, however after this experience I’d rather take my custom elsewhere!

I’m pregnant and not feeling well, I asked for a priority line if possible the self check out and the manager sent me to queue. Zero emphaty

Beware, they’ve apparently had a string of thieves so are ******** profiling customers. I asked a staff member (a middle eastern gentleman go figure) about when I noticed him. Mind you, I was wearing a beautiful wool sports coat, trousers, and sweater. His answer was brazen, “as long as you’re walking about, I’ll be following. Great form mates. Time for staff training in the art of subtlety 👌🏿

Three times in a row I have come in on a Saturday at about midday. Three times you didn’t have any stonebaked baguettes. If you produce less of the basic overpriced flutes that you always have far too many of, because clearly not a lot of people like them, you might find space for the stonebaked baguettes which are clearly popular

I telephoned this evening and spoke to two super guys - Kaz and Michael - to check if a product was in stock they couldn't have been more helpful, efficient and obliging!

Despite what some people may think Waitrose has a lot of item's cheaper and better quality then Tesco's

Live nearby and visit almost everyday. I love their meet and cheese. Fruits and vegetables are always fresh and are available after 9 AM, and some would be sold out in the late afternoon. Flowers sometimes are not fresh though.

Unbelievable, I go to buy a coffee and 1 croissant ....they charge me for parking 15 min= 5 pounds.... never again! Disgusting.

Some of the rudest most arrogant staff I've ever come across at any shop. I've shopped here for over a year and each time it seems to get worse. I appreciate there are some hard customers, but don't bump into customers and then look at them funny for getting in your way! Unbelievable

Being my nearest local supermarket I admit following the herd to shop at Waitrose specially after the gym ever since it was opened, over the years the quality of the goods went down specially during and after the pandemic, I don't really blame the management for the prevailed decadence however I blame the quality of the Swarm and their credulity for accepting such decadence of service and allowing their pockets to be taken for a ride, the melancholy is I am one of the swarm, its hard to abandoned the herd for I am an old dog hard to learn new tricks like going to Lidl using public transport.

Update January 2023: happy to report a lot of improvements but somewhat still lacking in service quality. Also lacking in eggs recently Previously: Slight improvement on disrespectful and inconsiderate staff... Massive selection and decent prices. I think the butcher and fishmonger section is quite well designed with really good, fresh options. I'm also a fan of their cheese section.

Waitrose is my new favorite go-to supermarket for ready-to-eat meals! Quality is great and completely ok pricing because of just that ^_^

Horrible experience at the store. The short Indian lady (presumably the manager) was so rude and grumpy. I had issues at the self checkout where the machine did not recognise my gift card and she asked one of the staff to take all my items from me, treating people like they are thieves. I had to go around the store to get my items again, and go to the regular checkout line since I had a feeling it was yet again another issue with their self checkout machines. My card worked there and the young lady at the till was nice. They have so many problems with their new self checkout machines, then they treat their customers horribly when the machines don’t work properly. I hope the short Indian lady gets fired as she is very incapable and rude. Maybe don’t treat your loyal customers like trash and ruin Waitrose’s image?

Today I ordered a Waitrose food delivery through Uber. I ordered the shopping at midday and it is now 2.10pm and it has still not arrived - apparently it will arrive by 2.30pm. So far it has taken Waitrose 2 hours 10 minutes to pack the order. I thought Waitrose stood for service, quality and efficiency not some tin pot corner shop that can't pack a simple order and give it to a delivery guy. Come on Waitrose. This is utterly ridiculous.

Very clean supermkt! Waitrose in general is always big, clean, with good lights, large isles, good options of everything and nice staff.

The only place that sells chicory and has lots of veggie stuff! The salt crisps in the pastel pink bag are the best ones ive ever had please try them. Not gonna lie, this store is literally falling apart. Like the ceiling has some issues, theres always leaks on the floor and once a month a whole aisle of refrigerators breaks down meaning the whole aisle goes into the bin. Nonetheless staff is so friendly and respectful. The guy behind the fish counter is lovely and the rotisserie chicken man always asks me about my day. Always have a laugh with the cashiers, especially with the incident when a pigeon flew in. Staff member helped me pick out a funny birthday card once. Stay awesome team x

I like about the various kinds of fresh fruits which was very fresh and stock available.

Used to be excellent, but the new tills are a joke. The weighting area doesn’t fit even a half basket worth of produce. So you end up needing assistance 100% of time and it then takes ages to pack, ending up in a bunch of angry people during busy times.

As one would expect of a fine shop like Waitrose, they mark the levels of fat, salt and saturates etc. on their products, helpfully facilitating attempts to eat healthy. Also Waitrose seems to be the only supermarket selling silver polish (maybe not a very popular product nowadays) and I can find the silver polish there easier than the one at home!

Generally a great store, but I was horrified and disgusted today to see that they had room fragrances in active use up and down the DAIRY aisle. Like 5% of the population allergic to one or more fragrances, this gives me allergic reactions, and is toxic for everyone. It's bad enough in supermarkets having to dodge the cleaning aisle entirely, and the odd overly pungently fragranced fellow customer - we really don't need toxic fragrance impregnating all of the plastic dairy packaging as well!! Will be buying my dairy if not other shopping items also elsewhere in future 🤬

We’re visiting from California. I wanted to share the delicious meal we assembled from Waitrose tonight. Garlic rosemary rotisserie chicken, they have other flavors too. Baby potatoes from the island of Jersey, boil for 12 to 14 minutes, drain and add butter, dill and a little salt. Fresh spinach from the UK, sauté for one minute with butter and a little salt. Fresh blueberries from Spain, just rinse and serve. Chocolate chip cookies for dessert. Many products from Britain. We purchased eggs, bread, cheddar cheese from Britain for breakfast. Nice selection of orange marmalade, not easy to get in the US. We purchased Wilkin & Sons Old Times marmalade. Sliced ham from France. I’m writing this enjoying Waitrose brand Reserve Claret, also from France. Everything good quality and reasonably priced. Friendly, efficient staff and check out, happy to help you. I recommend this store to anyone looking for ingredients to make enjoyable meals at home.

Great store with a wide range of products. I was surprised by the low prices, especially for shopping in London. The store is conveniently located for pedestrians or anyone taking public transport.
