We ordered baked beans on toast which came with the toast not buttered just dry toast & a scoop of beans on top, not particularly nice beans either, certainly not good quality for the price

Just had a Jacket Potato at Waitrose Cafe (£4.95). I can not believe the size of the potato! It was literally minute, 7 forkfuls start to finish! Only positive was that it was tasty ! I won’t fall for that mistake again !

Cafe shut for training, wouldn't it be better to train people whilst serving customers for a better all round expedience , instead of closing at 14:30.

Both of us got a sausage buttie. Very nice! Would have liked a full English but they only do bacon or sausage butties which is a shame.

I went for breakfast but was expecting a full Waitrose cafe, it only has sausage or bacon filled rolls. I had a sausage filled roll and it was nicely served and very tasty.

I took mum for lunch- I wanted a vegan option - there wasn’t anything at all - not even a jkt pot & baked beans( spicy beans only) we decided on Jkt pot with roasted vegetables but without the feta cheese . If arrived looking like tinned tomatoes with a couple of pieces of veg in. It had a strange smell so we both left it. As the queue was so long and only 1 member of staff serving we didn’t complain. Won’t be going back.

It is what it is .If you want fine dining don't enter but a cuppa and cake after doing a shopping battle fine. Better than Morrison's down the road .Staff are disorganised and the queue can be long and the service frustrating so thinking about it it's probably best to eat before you shop!

I visited with my 3 year old grand-daughter. We only had drinks and shared a large chocolate cup-cake decorated with a pink icing flower (guess who chose that)! The cup-cake was really tasty and went down a treat!

I’ve been going to the cafe for years, just for a coffe an a light bite or lunch. There are plenty of seats but more than half the tables were dirty an required tables emptied. I don’t blame the staff one bit. I had my coffee an disappointing half empty bacon roll an watched the staff. They never stopped! Every time the older lady caught a break she was in the cafe clearing tables. What’s that all about? Surely, with your prices, you can afford to hire someone to do that very job, the place is certainly big enough. I’ll give it a miss for a while. Disappointing as it’s handy for shopping. Mind you, Lughtons is only a short drive away!

We have used this Cafe regularly and for the most part been very happy, but on our last visit I decided to have a bacon roll, which I have sampled on many occasions and been very satisfied with the size of portion. But this time only 2 rashers of bacon were presented to my rustic roll. I only discovered this whilst sat at our table, so I let it go. Today we were back again and I discovered that the staff had been instructed to fill ( fill is an exaggeration) the roll with only 2 slice, they were also told to try and promote extra rashers of bacon to the customer at an extortionate £1.50 per rasher. Come WAITROSE, your better than this, where’s the value for money to one of your loyal customers, who spends large amounts of money in your store over the course of a year.

I have been popping in to Waitrose for a morning snack ,The Cumberland sausage cob was a treat and the staff where very helpful .Today I called in and the staff although friendly where rather un hygienic handling food rubbing hands and serving customers ,I had to ask a staff member to wash her hands ,as she had rubbed her hands against her face and rubbed together after handling bacon etc.The original Cumberland sausage which was circular and very generous .I asked what had happened to it and all was said we don't do that anymore although still advertised as such .all in all a disapointing day at Waitrose

Coffee and toast in the cafe is without doubt an experience to make shopping a treat! A good place to meet friends - or just to bump in to folk.

We always have a bacon bun before shopping, the bacon is cooked well and not dried out and fatty, and the ciabatta buns compliment it beautifully. Tea is service in a china teapot with china cups which is definitely an excellent combination.

We usually visit occasionally after shopping in store. The choice of food on offer is quite extensive and of good quality and always fresh. Having signed up for a "My Waitress" card our drink accompanying food is free of charge. The service is excellent.

Without a doubt the best supermarket cafe, although I'm not sure I'd eat there. The drinks and cakes are great and good value too. Very friendly and familiar service.

We use this cafe on a regular basis, that pretty much sums up as to what we think about this establishment, the staff a really pleasant, nearly always a smile on their faces, which is pretty unusual when dealing with the public, as we all know some folk will complain about anything for the sake of it, I don't belong to that category, however there are a couple of aspects of this establishment which could improved. The tables need clearing and cleaning on a more regular basis & in addition to aforementioned the Knives are a disgrace you have to rummage around to find a clean one. I suspect there are two issue one with the steam cleaner & the other is the knives are placed in a dirty knife container, which probably has a build up of debris, which when the knives are taken out of the container the debris sticks to the knife. Hope this is helpful.Best Regards Graham.

Called in for coffee and bacon bap whilst out early shopping. Great coffee and pleasing to find bap filled with bacom instead of a ' token' rasher you get in most places. Quality at reasonable prices. Friendly staff.

Given this is a John Lewis Partnership business it's really poor. In all the times I have been in I have never been able to get a toasted teacake. The service is poor and the staff are not very freindly. You would think they could go and get a teacake off the supermarket shelf if they run out so often. Poor management and not what I expect from waitrose.

Always a great spot to pick up a reasonably priced coffee. Found the service to be far superior to other fast food restaurants serving coffee. Look forward to going again.

Called here for a lunchtime snack, can highly recommend the hot sausage rolls, they were very tasty and very filling. The counter staff were very pleasant and polite so no complaints, and the cafe seating area was quite full, so I guess other shoppers enjoy using the cafeteria.

We stopped here for a light lunch. The sausage or Bacon filled Baps/Rolls can only be described as delicious and a bargain. £3.50 for a generous filling of either sausage or bacon is tremendous bargain. Use your 'My Waitrose' card and enjoy a free cup of coffee! All the staff we came into contact with were friendly, polite and naturally clean and tidy.

Had to find a staff member to show us to our table. Seating upholstery stained. Floor had crumbs and debris on it around our table and surrounding tables. Salt and pepper pots sticky and unclean. Portions small, peas were dry and tasteless, tartar sauce was served in a chipped dish. No one checked meal quality until we had finished eating. Staff rushed off their feet. Waited 30 minutes for desert.

first few times the super steps breakfast was really good. Friendly staff good prices. Within the last few days went again but although the breakfast was the same size the addition of a 6" piece of human hair on the plate was off putting to say the least. Not going again

Nipped in for a beer whilst out shopping in Beverly. It's a little difficult to find as it's on the next street back from the market. It's a bit like Dr Who's Tardis, looks small from the outside, but it's not, its massive inside. Lots of the usual spoons drinks on offer, plus lots of real ales on the bear festival menu. Toilets were of course, upstairs!

Lovely food, friendly staff and fantastic views! Everything was beautiful! The staff were very kind and helpful in accommodating my awkward food habits! Definitely recommend anything on the breakfast menu (especially the £6 sandwich and drink deal). We visited twice and tried the scones the second time. Very tasty!
