Wai's Chinese Takeaway in Kettering

I've ordered a few times from here, more specifically sushi.. every time I've been satisfied with the quality and taste of the food.. I highly recommend this place

Had a lovely takeaway from Hai Sushi yesterday, delicious food and great service!!

Amazing food as usual. Have added more photos from my most recent takeaway. Delicious! My go to place for Japanese food in Kettering. I usually order off uber eats or Deliveroo, but as the fees all mount up AND the food is more expensive, thought I would go and pick up in person. Absolutely delicious as always. The salmon crunch roll is delicious, as was the chicken teriyaki bento box which comes with miso soup, pickle, salad, rice and grilled chicken teriyaki. Recommend the mini spring rolls too, and love the salmon sashimi, so much I always have to order two portions. Thank god there is now fresh sushi in Kettering!

It’s take-away only with this one but that’s fine. We ordered bento boxes for 6 but no sushi as we had made our own. Each box comes with the protein of choice, a couple of gyoza, rice and salad. All the ingredients seemed fresh and the taste was good. The gyozas were very nice indeed. The katsu curry boxes were great as were the teriyaki chicken ones. The salmon was just a little over cooked but it wasn’t bad at all. Don’t let the outside of this establishment or its location put you off. It doesn’t look fancy and parking maybe an issue as it’s just on a small mixed residential/commercial street. But the food was just what we were looking for. It wasn’t Benihana level but it doesn’t pretend to be.

Love the seaweed salad, inari pockets & my husband thought his chicken teriyaki was great. There are so many options - even those of us on Veganuary are covered! Great stuff as always

This is the worst food in Kettering, not worth the money. Ramen is flavourless, chicken teriyaki taste super dry, like leftover from last week. So expensive with bad quality, never come again.

I have ordered from this restaurant numerous times before and they never disappoint. The food is great and the delivery is on time.

Delicious food, best sushi in the area

First time ordering and the food is so yummy and ready quickly! I had the salmon crunch rolls and chicken ramen noodles with miso soup and the portion sizes are great for the price!

Ordered for a special occaision, the proprietor was really helpful helping to select a variety of flavours, textures for seasoned sushi eaters & those who have never tried it including vegetarians - huge success, amazing taste ,fresh ingredients & excellent value for money - definitely worth trying

Usually happy but the takoyaki on our recent order were not edible. I’ve tried asking for a refund through Uber eats but no chance as they don’t seem to care about problems with food gone wrong. A shame as we had ordered three times in the past and before this we’re happy. :(

Absolutely incredible sushi! Worth the 20 minute drive to pick it up during our stay in Sulby. So fresh and tasty, staff took real care of the food. Really couldn't fault it.

This place is a little hidden gem. I travel the uk on a weekly basis and have tried sushi in most towns. Hai sushi has to be one of the best. Definitely worth a 5 star.

Just discovered this, superb sushi, gyoza, beef teriyaki, seaweed salad, faultless.

Nice place, must try for authentic Japanese cuisines. The staff is super friendly and always to help and guide for your meal selection.

Got food for 66£ yesterday... today me and my fiance have food poisoning which started from the night we had food from the shop.... never again

Amazing fresh tasty sushi. Had this at the weekend for the first time after seeing the reviews and can only agree this place is amazing. The delivery was on time for the pick up requested. The sushi was fresh tasting and the noodles we had we just great with tender chicken and lots of flavour. Will be back here for sure to try more of the menu. Highly recommend.

My favourite food in Kettering, genuinely order at least once a week now. The salmon sushi special is my all time favourite!

My local sushi takeaway is great - sure I’ve eaten a wider menu before in USA or London but this is backwater midlands so it’s a breath of fresh air for this town. But words to the wise, Justeat are really letting them down - go to the store and order. It will be a lot cheaper and much quicker. I saw the poor guy begging JuatEat on the phone to pick up orders delayed for 30 mins or more. I offered to deliver it on my way home but the thieves at Justeat won’t even tell them the addresses.

Ordered a wide array of different rolls and all of them were absolutely fantastic. Will definitely be a return customer!
