Was highly impresses with the service the food and drinks. The menu had an amazing selection and the server told us the daily specials. We opted to choose a few different plates and share them. The non alcoholic cocktails are out of this world very unique. You are not badgered by staff constantly. Will definitely be returning

Really nice and relaxed feel to the restaurant following a hectic day around the city. Excellent server that made our visit better by explaining the menu and how to order for a lighter meal if we wanted. With the quality and choice of the food we will definitely dine here again.

I went to Wahaca on Saturday last week, I ordered the Chicken & Avocado Quesadilla & the Chorizo Quesadilla to share with my sister as a lunch bite. As well as this we got the Halloumi taco to share. The Quesadillas were absolutely incredible, especially the way that the chicken was done. The service was awesome and the atmosphere was great as well. I look forward to returning at some point and having a full meal next time.

Friendly staff, reasonable sized portions and the food was really good. Considering its Brighton, where you will pay a bit of a premium, it was quite good value for money. It was a bit noisy sitting outside, so maybe pick a seat inside.

Went there with our one year old and I can’t recommend this Wahaca in Brighton enough. From the moment we arrived to finishing our meal, the service was impeccable and staff were super friendly with our baby. A massive thank you to Sophie and Ryan who were so friendly. Our baby, who had their first kids meal there lived the food & loved them ♥️ . Great with gluten free options too

Came here with my sister and the food was amazing!! Such flavourful food, and really affordable too! perfect for lunch and dinner, and doesn’t leave you feeling gross as all the ingredients are really fresh and you can tell the food has been made with love and care!! i will definitely be coming back!! the churros were the highlight 😆😆

Looking forward to a nice Mexican, and feeling hungry, myself and my partner ordered burritos which came with nachos. Advertised as a "big plate" we didn't order a starter but did order a side of sweet potato fries. Our disappointment on its arrival was immense. A big plate it was, a big meal on that plare it most certainly wasn't. An average tasting and barely warm burrito and literally 4 nachos each. The side of sweet potatoes swimming in oil were at least hot. And so a bill of £78.00 for a rubbish meal and bottle of white wine, the cheapest available that night. No starters and no desserts. The atmosphere was not great and I was practically sitting in the walkway which didn't make for a relaxing time. The waitress was at least attentive and polite. I completely understand the need to put prices up and that's fine. But, you still need to offer some value for money, and not reduce quality and quantity at the same time! A reply to my review asked me to email the manager, which I have done (twice!) with no reply, shouldn't be surprised really!

We have eaten here the last two times we visited Brighton and enjoyed it both times.

My friend and I went to eat at Wahaca. Our waitress was very welcoming and kind, and explained how to order, which we really appreciated! I would really recommend their beef gringa taco - the beef was soft, very juicy, and flavourful, with the salsa fresca providing the tacos a bit of freshness and crunch. Their crispy cauliflower bites and sweet potato bravas were also tasty, highlights being the dipping sauces that came with them! Also drank their mojito which was refreshing and had a hint of apple. Would definitely recommend if you like to eat a variety of Mexican dishes and sides to nibble on as you talk!

I had a very good experience at Wahaca in Brighton. There was no waiting time and we ate around 6pm. The food was very delicious and prompt service. All staff were helpful and friendly. I absolutely would recommend and go back.

Simply dreadful. Staff slow, uninterested, frankly snail-paced. Food disappointing. No visible management. Don't bother.

Went from bad to worse. Staff forgot we were even there. Missed parts of our order. Wouldn't move us inside claiming all booked but at least 3 free tables. Food was over priced and bland. Mexican food it is not. To top it off my gf has been sick for the last 5 hrs. It was an experience but for all the wrong reasons. Avoid

I am from Oaxaca and this restaurant is very good, I recommend it but I would prefer that the chicken tacos do not have dressing or onion, but rather melted cheese, they would be fantastic and with guacamole and lemon and the chicken be roasted 👍

Amazing restaurant. Really nice setting and atmosphere. Staff are so so nice. Shout out to Lilith, our waitress, she was super accommodating and really nice, one of the nicest service experiences I’ve had. Food was great, took a little longer than expected to arrive (they did seem a little short staffed), but we got free guacamole and tortilla chips which were amazing and a great touch.

We really love this place, we were served by a lovely girl called Kara, who was really pleasant and lovely, we were first seated at the back which was quite noisy but we never said anything about it and Kara came over and asked if we would prefer to sit elsewhere a little quieter, it was really nice she thought to ask, our food was quick coming out as well, we had just moved tables when our starter arrived, I had a lovely classic Margherita and my friend had a spicy Margherita, both gorgeous, Our mains were so so good, I couldn’t eat it all and without having to ask that we wanted a doggy bag to take away they came and asked us, Kara was a great waitress and very cheerful, she is definitely one of the best waitresses we have had, highly recommended restaurant, the food is lovely, only issue we had at all was my friends partner is quite a tall guy and when he went downstairs to toilet he did bang his head quite badly on an overhang wall, there was no sign saying mind your head and he probably not paying attention, so a sign saying Mind Your Head might be a good idea

I had a working lunch at Wahaca Brighton, the food was amazing and my server Vinchant was super attentive. The best dish I ate was the Crispy cauliflower bites. Vinchant said the chef was named Lily , so Lily, thank you for your gorgeous food!

We went here last night and we were very happy with the choice. We had the chicken burrito, beef Taco, and nachos and they were all delicious. The food came pretty quickly even though they seemed pretty full. Also Nico was our server, and he was great

I feel sorry for the excellent staff that have to serve this food, everytime we go there the food gets worse and it gets more expensive. There's no way this chain would survive in Mexico or California, the fish tacos are not freshly battered , the quesadilla was one small flour tortilla folded with a bit of non mexican cheese in it, nothing else, they charge you for tiny portions of salsa. The tiny portion of tortilla chips are not cooked fresh and are cold. They've taken Negra Modelo off the menu which is way superior to Modelo lager. 6 tacos, 1 mini Quesadilla , 2 margaritas, 1 beer, 1 glass of house wine £77

First time here. Seated quickly, waitress was absolutely brilliant, really friendly and professional, food came quickly and was very well presented and tasted great. All other staff were also very good. Was a great place to have lunch with a fantastic atmosphere both with staff and diners. Worth a visit.

My experience at Wahaca was quite underwhelming. The veggie burritos were just okay, lacking standout flavors or excitement. The variety of vegetarian and vegan options left much to be desired. Additionally, the prices felt a bit high for the quality and portion sizes provided. Given these factors, I couldn't recommend Wahaca.

I am glad that we can find ourselves anywhere in the world, it is a source of pride as a Mexican to know that even though we are not in our land, we can taste the typical flavors, very nice place, great service, a great atmosphere, very good treatment and before Everything, a very good taste of the food, delighted to eat at WAHACA.🇲🇽🌮

Me and partner has wondered around the place in Brighton that would accommodate for both our cuisines. As a vegetarian and a meat eater it’s hard to please both parties but we have found on in the high street. We ordered nachos to share as a starter which was so tasty and an amazing mixture of red bean, pikles and tomato and avocado salsa with their cheese sauce. For mains we ordered two small plates each which I think is quite filling! Especially after the nacho! I ordered the Buttermilk chicken, beef gringa and she had cauliflower bites which was so delicious almost tasted like squid! Vegan chicken avocado Here are some photos!

Staff was above and beyond amazing. Fran our server was very friendly and super helpful. Plus food/ drinks were delicious.

The menu prices don’t include tax, frustrating when you get your bill and it’s 25% more than you’re expecting as they’ve slapped service charge and tax on top. Misleading and understandable that they have to do that since the food is overpriced for the quality you get.

Wahaca was AMAZING! I have a lot of food allergies and they were super helpful about what I could have and listened to my requests and made it happened. My Chicken and Avocado tacos were FANTASTIC !! I loved them!! The vegan nachos SLAPPED! I highly recommend, especially if you have food allergies. Also, please ignore the fact that I ate half of the nachos before I remembered to take a photo :D

After coming here for years and being impressed with the food and service I have to say that it’s gone downhill. First thing I noticed was a complete overhaul of the staff. First impressions are that the new recruits haven’t inherited the attitude of the old. Unsmiling and indifferent. On to the food. Menu the same. Ingredients tasted stale. Undoubtedly poorer quality than the brilliant offerings of previous years. I remember once after the pandemic we had a poor experience and we put it down to the problems the service industry were having as a whole. We returned and happily things were back to excellent. This time it doesn’t feel like that. It feels like it has been downsized in quality and experience. I remember several years ago being sat near Dave Myers (RIP). That’s how much of a buzz the place was making. I can’t imagine many foodies going there now. Surroundings tired and need a revamp. It’s on a par with any of the other bland industrial scale UK chains.

The gluten-free options were really tasty, as were the other dishes too. The tacos are really good :)

My girlfriend and I were really hungry after arriving in Brighton as our final stop on our trip. We decided to stop for Mexican food and let me tell you that this is probably the best mexican food I've ever had. Everything tastes fresh. The cocktails are also really nice! If you ever feel bored, feel free to open a Wahaca in Belgium! I'll be a regular customer ;)

Food and service was great but was charged twice using the qr code at the table. Emailed the branch got a reply to say I would be refunded within2-3 working days. Refund was never received so I emailed again which I then never received a repky to. Called 2 days later and was told I'd get a phone call back within 2-3 hours later which I never did. Have no had to take matters into myown hands and contact my bank to query the 2 charges. The bank has arranged a refund. Had been told by wahaca that this has happened multiple times before with other customers. Just concerned people don't always notice that they have been charged twice. Very disappointed with the after care service and I will not be returning to Wahaca. Its a shame because the food was great but poor after customer service has left a nasty taste in my mouth.

Dreadful food, mediocre and tasted microwaved. Small portions, overpriced, child's rice bowl was one spoon of rice, limp lettuce and chicken which was gross. Tasted nuked and tough, it smelt rancid.( was deducted from bill , but hungry child ) Five quid for about 4 chunks of sweet potatoe side, doesn't even come with dip. We won't recommend and will be sure to only visit independent resteraunts in future. And cash only. Nahhh not good. Oh toilets are gross too, husband said mens had flys all over ceiling and women's stank.

I’ve been to my fair share of places in Brighton but wahaca was just amazing from the food to the service especially our waitress Kiki (she literally has my heart) everyone was so nice and just good vibes. I strongly recommend the set platters for 2 everything was so fresh and delicious and you’re definitely getting your money’s worth

Went for dinner for my birthday Food was delicious service was fast. The top of the night was the girl who served us. Very kind, with a big smile and full of good energy !!

Service was slow and difficult. I was accidentally overcharged and it took nearly 30 mins to sort it out. Toilets were dirty and full of flies. Food was tasty but really small portions. I will not be back.

Visited here with my wife and young family. Food really nice and fresh, my daughters, if not sleeping in their buggy were chowing down on their quesadillas. Service was generally superb. Only real hiccup was i was given the incorrect burrito. (beef instead of chicken). I still eat and enjoyed it and the server insisted on refunding me for the burrito. Can't speak highly enough of this branch.

One of the best Mexican meals I've ever had. Whether with meat or vegetarian, tacos, burritos and the drinks were absolutely perfect. We had the share menu and the food came non-stop. We were all very convinced. Great value for money!

Would have been great except now extortionately expensive. £4 for a coke? And the tacos went from 3 per portion to 2. They might be a bit bigger but not much. £1.75 for a small dollop of quacamole in my burrito and extra if you want cheese? Ridiculous money grabbing. I used to love this place but naked greed just isn't very appetising.

The restaurant is decorated beautifully and I recommend the veggie nachos, chicken quesadillas, and their spicy margarita. However, since being to the restaurant twice, I was not greeted that well when entering. This was due to the host not being there both times though the restaurant had only a few customers. Therefore the host and some of the staff members are unwelcoming.

The children’s food was horrid boiled chicken that I wouldn’t feed my cats. This is defo a tourist trap and the whole serve you when it’s ready model means they are just lazy. They forgot to put in most of our order so we left and they gave us a refund. Never going back. I can see why the English would like this place though … lol 😂

Great night out for our sons 30th

Overall, food was nice, but they were slow on service and messed up our bill that had to be corrected. It was busy which may be why service was slow, but was waiting quite some time between courses. They also forgot one of our dishes that came out when we finished the rest so we just took it off the bill. Desert was delicious though

A children's menu is dry like an absent father, the burrito is a brick, the sauces are paid separately. The brownie was delicious

Foods not bad but a bit expensive for what you get! No option to pay cash so avoid if you don't want to pay by card! Automatically put the service charge on a table of 4! Personally prefer to pay tips in cash if the service is good.

I've been to Wahaca in London a few times, but today was my first visit to Brighton. I was pleasantly surprised. Service was excellent & the food was delicious. So I'll definitely be back.

Delicious food, amazing service and very pleasant ambiance.

The food was incredible, but the service was incredibly slow, and we had to remind waiting staff of drinks orders. It was quite frustrating, considering there were only a few customers in the restaurant.

Perfect for indecisive people like myself! The food is great quality and the staff are always so lovely. Although the food comes out at different times, staff are very good at making you aware of this so it doesn’t come as a surprise.

Oh my gosh, I'm not sure where to start (in a positive way if you can't tell by my 5 star rating lol.) From the beginning we were met with smiling faces and such a lovely staff. A little wait to get to our table (which was fine btw) but we were offered free chips and lots of guacamole and free tequila shots for the wait. Food was superb (food coma much) I would definitely return again, even writing this review makes me hungry. I can very much recommend it.
