Food was unreal! Service was friendly George was great Will definitely be returning!

Went mid afternoon on a monday and virtually the only ones in there. Wasnt overly familiar with the cuisine but waitress offered advice. What we had we enjoyed. Nice as in tasty enough. Wouldnt rave about it but it was more the style than the taste makes me say that. Had a sundae as a shared dessert. Now that was memorable. It kinda made me think if I was eating elsewhere for a main, I might even pop in here for dessert. Service a little slow and disjointed as the food comes as and when ready not all together. Also had to wait a bit but I think to be fair it was sort of the staff's rest time. Might have been more atmosphere if busy but frankly I went in order to catch up with two old friends so we didnt care at all re atmosphere.

Absolutely perfect restaurant! We ate divinely well, the tastes were incredible, the service wonderful, it's truly flawless!

Good Mexican restaurant in Central Brighton. The food was delicious. Staff could be more focused on the customers instead of talking to each other about unrelevant stuff. 😀

Had a fantastic time at Wahaca—Calvin was absolutely brilliant! Friendly, attentive, and made us feel really welcome from the moment we arrived. He had great recommendations and made sure everything was spot-on throughout. The food was delicious—fresh, flavourful, and exactly what we were hoping for. Big thanks to Calvin for making the whole experience even better. We’ll definitely be back!

5 Stars – Calvin: The Taco Whisperer of Brighton I don’t know if Calvin is a waiter or a low-key superhero whose superpower is making people feel like royalty while delivering guacamole with the precision of a ninja. From the moment we sat down, Calvin swept in like a tequila-scented breeze of joy. Water? Already poured. Menu questions? Answered before we even asked. Tortilla chip emergency? Handled like a man trained by the Aztecs themselves. He recommended the pork pibil tacos with the confidence of someone who has stared deep into the soul of a pig and whispered, “You were born for this.” At one point, my friend asked for more napkins, and I swear Calvin produced them from thin air like a magician with a tortilla-based deck of cards. I half expected him to shout, “¡Olé!” and disappear in a puff of chipotle smoke. He even made sure my friend’s dietary needs were handled without fuss – and with jokes. Like, “No dairy? No drama. I got you.” Honestly, if Calvin ran the country, everything would be efficient, spicy, and served with a side of salsa. If you’re in Wahaca Brighton and Calvin’s working, buckle up. It’s not just dinner. It’s dinner with flair, comedy, and probably the best damn taco guidance you’ll ever reciebe!

I went Wahaca. I have the pork taco and fish . it was authentic and delicious. I would definitely go back. This is a hidden gem to check out in Brighton. You won't be disappointed. I would recommend this to anyone

My first time here and I have to say it was a great experience. The food is very tasty, the restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere and the staff are excellent. I highly recommend the meat feasting menu, it was a generous amount of food, a good range of dishes and reasonable value at £25 per person.

I do not reccomend! Paid 90 pounds overall and had to wait 20 minutes for a seat WE booked. Food was very small and overpiced considering we ordered 4 dishes altogether for 90 pounds which werent filling. Some food came before drinks making it awkward and then other food came 40 minutes later. Waiter was rude and gave us 3 drinks then the other one came 20 minutes later.

Love the food, decent choice and prizes! the only negative I have is that it always feels a bit rushed, the food comes as it’s ready with means that you can have everything within 5/10 min. Shame they don't accept AMEX anymore, specially it being in Brighton!

The food was amazing, some of the best I've ever had! I went with my partner and the service was excellent. Special mention to Sophie, who made sure we both enjoyed our meal and also informed us about things to do in Brighton that day, as we're visiting. Many thanks to the whole team at Wahaca!

We had a team dinner at Wahaca on Tuesday and had such a great experience. The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, vibrant and full of flavour. The service was excellent from start to finish. The staff were friendly, attentive and made us feel really welcome. Thank you for the fantastic evening. True north team

The food was delicious. We each had a "wahaca for one" which includes guacamole, hummus, tortilla chips, a taquito, and two tacos of your choice. I chose the pork pibil and beef gringa. it all comes nicely presented on a board. the hummus had a dash of hot sauce but wasn't too spicy. I also had the passionfruit hibiscus cooler, which was really refreshing. we had a table booked for 5:40 on a Saturday and the restaurant was full, it was quite loud and difficult to hear each other across the table. it took a long time for the drinks to come and a long time for the food to come - all was ordered at the same time around 10minutes after arriving. we were in the restaurant for around 2 hrs. no one ever came to ask if we were OK, or wanted any more drinks, or a water top up, and it was difficult to get the attention of the waiters partly due to the volume.

We both had a cocktail and Wahaca for one. Great way to try the food. Really lovely. Definitely come again.

There was about a 20-minute wait to be seated even though we had a table booked. However, service was good and the food was simply divine! Everything was hot and served quickly. The pork belly was beautiful, as were the tacos. The cocktails were fantastic and complimented the food perfectly. Two main meals, 2 deserts and 2 cocktails cost just over £70.....which was well worth every penny. Highly recommend (unless your on a strict time schedule) 10/10

Had an amazing time, definitely recommend! Got recommended the beef gringa by our lovely waitress Evie who gave us great service the whole time. The tacos were genuinely the best I have ever had and the same can be said for the tiramisu. Will definitely be coming back!

Solid and always guaranteed good food here. Delicious tacos and also quesadillas. Churros also delicious especially with the choc dip. Place is huge and is accessible friendly too.

Came to try the new menu, I ordered the ‘Wahaca for 1’ and we tried the new ‘Prawn Aguachile . All the food and cocktails we had were super tasty and fresh. The atmosphere was the perfect level of busy. We were served by the lovely Fran whose customer service was really standout, thanks you for the amazing food/drink recommendations and for making our experience so great!

If I could give this 0 stars I would. Ordered via Deliveroo, ended up waiting over 2 hours and the food hadn’t even been cooked. I get that a restaurant can get busy this is ridiculous.

Wahaca takeaway hit the spot! We had the Buttermilk Chicken Tacos, Crispy Cauliflower Bites, Cheesy Toasted Melted Cheese, Quesadilla Sandwich, and Sweet Potato—every bite was packed with flavor. Nothing felt greasy, just tasty, fresh, and filling. The cauliflower bites were crispy perfection, and the tacos were juicy with a kick. Bonus points for their eco-friendly packaging—love a meal that’s kind to the planet too. Fast, flavorful, and feel-good food. Will definitely order again.

Fabulous food with fresh ingredients and amazing atmosphere. The serving staff are friendly and efficient. We sat outside in the sunshine with the band playing.....a wonderful afternoon

We go in here for lunch on quieter midweek days. Good food and drink choices for vegan and gluten intolerant people. The place also has great baby change facilities on the same level as the restaurant.

I came here a while back and I have to say it was amazing. The food had so many nice flavours well seasoned. I loved every bit of it , service was great I honestly recommend coming here. The sweet potato cubes were so lovely and the chicken tacos. All of it perfect

Wow just wow .... Fantastic friendly service Freshly cooked food that tasted as good as it looked. We had been looking round Brighton for somewhere for lunch and the menu drew us in. Had the Wahaca for 1 and a side of Chorizo quesadillas to share and came out full. Fresh guacamole and hummus (never really had the urge to try hummus but glad I did) Will definitely be visiting again to try more of the menu

We brought our 12 year old niece for a Friday night supper and we all loved the food, drinks (mocktails were delicious too) and the service.

Cannot speak higher of my experience here. The food was delicious, but our experience was made by the lovely Luke and his incredible service. Will be back again for sure.

Not as good as our previous visit. I know food comes separately but a half hour wait meant some people had finished their meal whilst others hadn’t received anything. Two of our side orders didn’t come - so we got them taken off the bill. Not sure we’ll be back, it was just so so. Think they need some music too - felt a bit lacking in atmosphere.

The food was good. Not great but ok for the value. It was a nice experience. I recommend the house nachos that's delicious. And if you are going for the tacos order extra salsa. I found the tacos lacking in sauce and depth. But my niece loved it and she is a fussy eater. So I will be back.

Went for a few small bites. Food was ok, different tastes so expect your taste buds to be tickled. Service was pretty slow for drinks to be honest. Won't be in a rush to go back there any time soon. Also service tax on top of VAT, this ain't America!!

A lovely surprise when visiting Brighton to find Wahaca restaurant. We we seated quickly (even though it was a Saturday) and as it was early lunchtime the waitress spent time explaining the menu as we had no idea what to order. The gluten free option was also varied. The food was so delicious and will certainly recommend.

The tacos were great! Very fresh and the atmosphere relaxed.

They have a really lovely vegan food option. Trying the nutritional meals with Mexican cuisine is memorable, and the ambience and decor add to your special memory.

We visited Wahaka Brighton for a birthday meal. The food was very good and plenty. The alcohol free cocktails were amazing. The service was exceptional good, with the waitress going through all the food options before we ordered, recommending different options. The food was served for all at the same time. The waited even agreed to bring out our birthday cake at the end of the meal. And the price was reasonable. 5 stars

Needed some dinner and we decided on Wahaca. The food was nice, staff were always smiling and helpful. Service charge was added by default We had had a large beef burrito, there was more wrap than beef, the burrito was nice and should have asked for an extra portion of beef. Grilled 'Halloumi Al Pastor' was good, but eat it when it comes out hot or it taste rubbery Ancho mushrooms were also good Drinks options, they have what you want and able to make anything off the menu within reason
