The gluten-free options were really tasty, as were the other dishes too. The tacos are really good :)

Food and service was great but was charged twice using the qr code at the table. Emailed the branch got a reply to say I would be refunded within2-3 working days. Refund was never received so I emailed again which I then never received a repky to. Called 2 days later and was told I'd get a phone call back within 2-3 hours later which I never did. Have no had to take matters into myown hands and contact my bank to query the 2 charges. The bank has arranged a refund. Had been told by wahaca that this has happened multiple times before with other customers. Just concerned people don't always notice that they have been charged twice. Very disappointed with the after care service and I will not be returning to Wahaca. Its a shame because the food was great but poor after customer service has left a nasty taste in my mouth.

My girlfriend and I were really hungry after arriving in Brighton as our final stop on our trip. We decided to stop for Mexican food and let me tell you that this is probably the best mexican food I've ever had. Everything tastes fresh. The cocktails are also really nice! If you ever feel bored, feel free to open a Wahaca in Belgium! I'll be a regular customer ;)

Great Mexican restaurant in Brighton centre. Good menu choice and great food. Service very attentive and friendly. Nice time had.

Dreadful food, mediocre and tasted microwaved. Small portions, overpriced, child's rice bowl was one spoon of rice, limp lettuce and chicken which was gross. Tasted nuked and tough, it smelt rancid.( was deducted from bill , but hungry child ) Five quid for about 4 chunks of sweet potatoe side, doesn't even come with dip. We won't recommend and will be sure to only visit independent resteraunts in future. And cash only. Nahhh not good. Oh toilets are gross too, husband said mens had flys all over ceiling and women's stank.

I’ve been to my fair share of places in Brighton but wahaca was just amazing from the food to the service especially our waitress Kiki (she literally has my heart) everyone was so nice and just good vibes. I strongly recommend the set platters for 2 everything was so fresh and delicious and you’re definitely getting your money’s worth

Went for dinner for my birthday Food was delicious service was fast. The top of the night was the girl who served us. Very kind, with a big smile and full of good energy !!

Service was slow and difficult. I was accidentally overcharged and it took nearly 30 mins to sort it out. Toilets were dirty and full of flies. Food was tasty but really small portions. I will not be back.

Visited here with my wife and young family. Food really nice and fresh, my daughters, if not sleeping in their buggy were chowing down on their quesadillas. Service was generally superb. Only real hiccup was i was given the incorrect burrito. (beef instead of chicken). I still eat and enjoyed it and the server insisted on refunding me for the burrito. Can't speak highly enough of this branch.

We had a lovely lunch. Food was delicious and service was friendly(forgot waitresses name but she was lovely and welcoming. Great ambiance. Will definitely be visiting again.

One of the best Mexican meals I've ever had. Whether with meat or vegetarian, tacos, burritos and the drinks were absolutely perfect. We had the share menu and the food came non-stop. We were all very convinced. Great value for money!

Absolutely fantastic experience yet again at Wahaca. The team are all so lovely, welcoming and so attentive - the service there is just so seamless and seems effortless - so impressive! Would have been great except now extortionately expensive. £4 for a coke? And the tacos went from 3 per portion to 2. They might be a bit bigger but not much. £1.75 for a small dollop of quacamole in my burrito and extra if you want cheese? Ridiculous money grabbing. I used to love this place but naked greed just isn't very appetising.

The restaurant is decorated beautifully and I recommend the veggie nachos, chicken quesadillas, and their spicy margarita. However, since being to the restaurant twice, I was not greeted that well when entering. This was due to the host not being there both times though the restaurant had only a few customers. Therefore the host and some of the staff members are unwelcoming.

The children’s food was horrid boiled chicken that I wouldn’t feed my cats. This is defo a tourist trap and the whole serve you when it’s ready model means they are just lazy. They forgot to put in most of our order so we left and they gave us a refund. Never going back. I can see why the English would like this place though … lol 😂

The food and everything was really quite mediocre. The buttermilk chicken taco was quite unpleasant. Food was soggy not juicy.

Great night out for our sons 30th

Overall, food was nice, but they were slow on service and messed up our bill that had to be corrected. It was busy which may be why service was slow, but was waiting quite some time between courses. They also forgot one of our dishes that came out when we finished the rest so we just took it off the bill. Desert was delicious though

A children's menu is dry like an absent father, the burrito is a brick, the sauces are paid separately. The brownie was delicious

Foods not bad but a bit expensive for what you get! No option to pay cash so avoid if you don't want to pay by card! Automatically put the service charge on a table of 4! Personally prefer to pay tips in cash if the service is good.

I've been to Wahaca in London a few times, but today was my first visit to Brighton. I was pleasantly surprised. Service was excellent & the food was delicious. So I'll definitely be back.

The food was incredible, but the service was incredibly slow, and we had to remind waiting staff of drinks orders. It was quite frustrating, considering there were only a few customers in the restaurant.

Perfect for indecisive people like myself! The food is great quality and the staff are always so lovely. Although the food comes out at different times, staff are very good at making you aware of this so it doesn’t come as a surprise.

Oh my gosh, I'm not sure where to start (in a positive way if you can't tell by my 5 star rating lol.) From the beginning we were met with smiling faces and such a lovely staff. A little wait to get to our table (which was fine btw) but we were offered free chips and lots of guacamole and free tequila shots for the wait. Food was superb (food coma much) I would definitely return again, even writing this review makes me hungry. I can very much recommend it.

I went to Wahaca with family after ice skating at the Dome. Quite a big group. The food was great lots of choice. Our second visit as a big family group was as good ad our first back in February 🎉🎉🎉

There were four of us who went here for lunch. Wahaca is a well known Mexican chain restaurant. It is very well located. It is a good place for a vegetarian meal that is easy on the pockets. The servers were really nice and extensively took note of potential allergies etc. Highly recommend their rainbow bowl. It was very fresh and tasted good.

Came here a while ago to order some food to takeaway. Service was immediate and friendly, I was offered a place to sit and also a drink while I waited. I used the toilet facilities while I was there and they were tidy and stocked. While I was waiting I noticed that the decor and ambiance was very welcoming and warm. My order was made very quickly and the food was to die for. Was seriously above my expectations and the whole experience has made me absolutely set on coming back for the full eat-in experience next time I'm back in Brighton.

Good menu but some food arrived cold and was sent back. They generously chose not to charge for the replacement food.

For an establishment that tells you its cashless,you expect they take ALL credit cards. But no, they don't take Amex. OK food. Cocktail wasn't well made.

We walked out of a nearby restaurant in disgust due to service and attitude. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door. Shown to our table with a friendly smile.The atmosphere was great. We ordered the tacos and quesidillas. They were delicious. Just enough as we had lost our appetite.

Accommodated us at last minute having booked another Mexican in Brighton which was so awful we had to leave after 5 minutes. Whist Wahaca is a small chain the food is great - we couldn't finish ours so was offered containers to take home what was left. Service super nice, took time with us to explain menu and offer recommendations and prices were fair Whats not to like?

I liked all the little dishes. Especially the vegan tacos and sweet potato bravas. Nachos were tasty also.

Staff were welcoming and friendly and the place was packed, glad we booked! The food is incredible. We travel over an hour to eat here as it's our closest Wahaca. Our waitress was attentive and knowledgeable on the menu. Dietary requests were listened to and the customised food was served with no issues. Great cocktail menu as well.

Great food, nice folks, good drinks. Ate in for lunch on a Friday, nice crowd and good feel. The tacos and guacamole were outstanding. We had an order of almost all of the tacos and they were all top notch.

Such a lovely spot - the staff were really friendly and the food was just divine!!! A little pricey but totally worth it, we had the beef tacos and the buttermilk chicken tacos which were the perfect amount of spicy alongside a mojito or a margarita - yummy, we will be back! 3 tacos (2 per portion), two cocktails and a guacamole and chips for 50 quid

I have real dietary issues and struggle to find food in most restaurants. Wahaca were amazing. The chef actually came to the table sat with me and really understood my needs . I was served the biggest salad, with chicken and a sauce that would not upset my delicate insides!! Would recommend 150%. 👌 Fantastic.

Good food, ok setting but let down by staff. Went to Wahaca for a dinner with work. We put some big orders in and on the whole the food was good and came out quickly, service was good until I ordered a beer towards the end of the meal. After waiting 15 minutes for a single bottle of Modelo (about the time it took for the first of our food to come out) I asked the member of the Wahaca team how the beer order was getting on as we had finished our food. I received a really quite awkward response, with a shrug, so I repeated again that I’d ordered a beer and was wondering how long it would be as it looked like we were finishing up. Again I got a shrug and this time with a “Sooo. And your point is” attitude, along with raised hands to be told that the restaurant was busy and there’s only one bar person. This was in stark contrast to the warm welcome and relatively quiet restaurant we’d walked into an hour before, and the clear and serviced tables that I could see throughout the restaurant. A really awkward interaction that had me questioning whether its worth interacting with members of the service team at Wahaca. Not usually a fan of chain restaurants when out for a tasty dinner, and this experience has unfortunately not changed my perspective. Next time Mexican calls in Brighton, it’ll be over to the independent, friendly, attentive and laid back staff at Halisco.

Staff were all lovely! We just went for a cocktail but also had some chips and guac, the guac was amazing! They couldn't make the cocktail I initially wanted due to a missing ingredient but the one I ended up getting was still delicious. Recommend this place

Tasty, healthy food, great vegan options.

We had the set menu's and everything was tasty. Service was great and the food arrived right after ordering.

Plus: food, service, atmosphere are all really wonderful. Especially Alice, who was a sweetie. Only two points to consider: 1) I booked a table for 8PM and wanted to change my reservation to 7PM. I called to change, and the guy who answered the phone was rather impatient and didn't really change the reservation. Almost made me want to cancel. 2) If you do the math, the set menus save you between 10p and 80p. While the offerings of the set menu are wonderful, the food comes out very fast. So if you're there with 2-4 people, it's better to order everything individually and not have your table crowded with food (which sits and gets cold). The set menu might work better for larger parties though.

The food was amazing. But the shout out goes to the service. The white girl (dark hair) who waited the table for us on 9th October 2023 around 8pm was simply brilliant.

Came to wahaca tonight and drove an hour and a half to get here and it was most definitely worth the drive the food was incredible and our waitress Kiki was amazing her service was outstanding. A lovely women with a bubbly positive attitude. Brighton your incredibly lucky to have her as part of your team!

This is a great place for groups. They have big plates, small plates, vegan, vegetarian, gluten free... basically something for everyone. The location is right next to the pavilion as well which is cool. I've been here few times. They are always nice. Food is always good.

Came to Brighton for a break from up north with my partner & family. Food was lovely, came out quite quickly & we ended up getting quite a lot of food. However, our evening did get spoiled a little when they put a massive service charge of over 20% to our bill. We didn’t know they’d done this until we looked at the receipt after paying. If I’d of known you don’t have to pay it I’d of given more stars (found out it’s not mandatory at all, weeks later) just feel it’s quite deceptive to add it on and then say feel free to leave a tip like 25% isn’t enough? Transparency isn’t a lot to ask for when wanting to spend money somewhere. I always tip my waiters or bartenders so just left a bad taste in our mouths.

Really enjoyed my dinner here, exceptional service from Eli who was friendly and helpful with the menu.
