Wah Bey is an absolute gem for Pakistani cuisine! From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable. Talha, in particular, went above and beyond to make our visit special with his exceptional hospitality. The ambience is cozy and inviting, perfect for any occasion. The food is the real star here. The chicken pakora and chicken lollipop were crispy and bursting with flavor. The Dum biriyani was a flavor explosion, with aromatic spices and perfectly cooked rice. Overall, Wah Bey is a must-visit for delicious food, great service, and a wonderful atmosphere. Highly recommended!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wah Bey is the perfect spot for a get-together with friends and family! The ambience is warm and inviting, ideal for any occasion. Though listed as Pakistani cuisine, it satisfies cravings for Indian flavors too. The murgh malai tikka was tender and creamy, the chicken lollipop crispy and flavorful, and the chicken dum biriyani a fragrant delight. Don’t miss the kheer for dessert – it’s the perfect sweet ending. The hospitality here is outstanding, with all the staff, especially Talha, providing top-notch service. Highly recommended for a memorable dining experience!

⭐️Awful service, tools over an hour for my food to be served and it wasn’t even busy. The prices have increased yet the. portion sizes have shrunk this was my third visit. Will not come back here again not value for money at all. The place should be ashamed for the excruciate prices for the little food they serve!

I hosted my sister’s baby shower here and we had the best time! Everyone loved the food, it was so flavourful and the platters that we ordered were finished almost instantly. I already want to go back for it! As for the staff, they were so lovely and helpful. They made sure to check on us even though we were downstairs in their private dining area. Anandhu, Tisha, Alka and another tall male waiter were all so sweet and made sure we had the smoothest experience. I recommend this place for an evening dinner and would host all my future events here!

We ordered a take away and I must say the lamb chops was so delicious had such a smoky flavour and tender. However the rest of the food such as biryani and curries was poor. I would like to visit the restaurant and hope it’s a better experience.

This was our second visit to this restaurant, and despite excellent service at our table by Ekta, who went above and beyond, everything else was mediocre and a far cry from its former glory. I'd go so far as to say that, had it not been for the excellent service we received, I'd have only given this particular experience a 2-star review. Let's start with the table first. We were a party of 12 (9 adults, 3 children), and the space we were given in the corner of the restaurant was slightly cramped, despite booking the table in advance. This is not a major issue as we managed fine but worth noting nevertheless and the staff (Ekta and Joyle) did everything they could to make our experience a positive one. Now, moving on to the food, the portion sizes were generous, and we had ordered a substantial amount of food. The two platters at £95 each were sufficient for us, although we did order a bunch of extras, including curries, naans, lollypop chicken, fried fish, and paneer tikka. The lollypop chicken looked like it had great potential, but the exterior was tough, really TOUGH. The seasoning could also have been better as the outside was overcooked (in my humble opinion), and the batter completely overshadowed any flavour that may have been on the chicken. The curries were generally to a restaurant standard. The lamb and chicken karahi dishes were what you'd expect, nothing more, nothing less. The naans were the best part of the meal. They were well prepared correctly and were fresh. The kulcha naans were the best in my opinion and complimented the lamb karahi perfectly. Moving on the platters, which were generously sized, most of the grilled meats were decent, although the lamb chops were quite chewy and lacked flavour. We also ordered the fried fish, which, like the lollypop chicken, appeared to have been over fried, although it has much more flavour than the chicken. Overall, the food was ok and acceptable, which was a disappointment as we had expected it to be amazing (which it wasn't). We also ordered the paneer starter, which again looked like it had great potential but fell short as it was fairly bland. The main issue with the restaurant on the day was also the toilet facilities. I checked the disabled toilets, which had no toilet roll and no toilet seat, just a water container (common in the subcontinent) was washing yourself with. The mens toilet consisted of two urinals - both of which had been blocked off as they were none-functional, leaving one cubical free. For a fairly large restaurant on a weekend, this is quite inadequate as the restaurant was quite busy. My daughter wanted to use the women's toilets and advised that there were two cubicles, one of which was blocked up and the other had a door with a broken handle and when shut, wouldn't open unless someone rammed the door from the other end. Needless to say, she is only 11 years old and got very concerned as she got stuck in there. Luckily, someone in the toilet was able to push it open for her from the other end. I honestly don't like leaving reviews like this, but when you've spent in excess of £330 on a meal, it's fair to expect better from the food and facilities. I hope they get their act together on those two fronts as the staff and service really made up for other areas that were lacking.

From the outside, it looks like a nightclub and the theme continues inside with loud Bhangra music blasting while you are seated inside. It was cold as their heating didn’t work. We ordered, chefs platter and dum biryani. The platter was a mixed grill and it was probably the worst mixed grill I’ve had. It was dry burnt out chops and there was no moisture at all. We didn’t even finish the platter, It was so bad and half of it remained. Nan was much better which came with the platter. It was my first time and my last time. Not only the food was very expensive, but it was very poor.

Ruined night out with the family. Please don't go by the reviews on youtube as not sure if they're paid reviews...experiance was so much disappointing. Place was infested with flies. Mango lassi was covered by flies. Kitchen and toilets in the basements were covered by flies. When complained to the manager he said that if you've visited Pakistan then its much worse there... not sure what he meant as i wasn't in Pakistan. He apologised and offered kheer in return but after experiencing flies in the food i happily turned down the offer. Overly priced average food. Thought i was dining in Kensington instead i was in Gants Hill. I also read that owners been fined twice before this by Redbridge council for dumping commercial waste in residential bins....don't take my word for it. Check it out for youself. If you can't look out for the interest of your local community then i doubt you will do the same for your customers. Would i visit again or recommend this restaurant....NAH BEY!!!!!!

Possibly the worst Asian/ Pakistani restaurant in east london. Don't expect to be served for an hour or two if they have a "large party". The service was diabolical. Order didn't arrive as we had asked. Waiters apologised, informed the duty manager/owner who pretended nothing was wrong. Food was awful to be honest. Much better options very close by. Don't be fooled by the decor. We wanted to have a pleasant family meal but clearly they have little respect for patrons.

Not even worth 1* Absolutely disgusted by the treatment of my family at Wey Bey. After waiting 1 hour to be seated, when we were finally seated, waited another hour to process order. Sadly my poor father is diabetic and collapsed as a results of delayed service. After multiple times notifying the staff he is diabetic, the food came after 2 hours of us arriving, to which was too little too late. Had no choice but to leave without eating. Absolutely appalling that even after my father collapsed, the staff were rude and abrupt. Not recommended for anyone who is diabetic, has young children or wants good service. Disgusting customer service.

Second time we’ve been now and we were really craving some good curry after our holiday. Straight away the service from Khalid was just so hospitable and welcoming, which you don’t get in many places in UK! Our food arrived quickly and everything piping hot. The mixed grill was cooked to perfection, soft lamb chops and everything spiced well. I loved the butter chicken! The karak chai beats any chai I’ve had! Khalid was so attentive always checking to see if we’re ok. My little boy was a little rascal but all the staff were friendly and did not mind at all, makes it so much more easier to eat out as a family when the staff are so welcoming. Will defo return for the food and the great service.. I’m still shocked they don’t add service charge even though they deserve it! Good service is just what they do without demanding that charge!

I would sum up our experience with one word, BRILLIANT. went with family on eid and had a great meal. Khalid the manager displayed outstanding care and service, this is rare in a pakistani restaurant from our experience. With a mix of great food and hospitality, this place gets 10 out of 10. I would highly recommend a pop in to this place and give it a go. I am sure you will go again

So after seeing a post on Instagram about this place I decided to give it a go. Let’s be honest, london is full of indian restaurants but I’ve rarely come across a Pakistani restaurant here except for maybe Salt n Pepper n that too was hideously overpriced. It’s very conveniently located almost right next to Gants Hill station. It’s big and decorated nicely. As soon as we sat down we were served with pappar and 3 house chutneys which were authentic to die for. Brought me instant nostalgia as my mom has always been big on making chutneys at home. We ordered Haryali boti and Dahi bhalay for starters. The boti was done to perfection and the Dahi bhalay left much to be desired. Then came the mains which were Chicken Karahi, Dum biryani and rogni Naan. The spices were on point with the meat just melting in our mouths and the biryani was the star of the show. The naan again took me back home. Being a Lahori we take our naans very seriously 😄 The staff is extremely courteous and they keep checking in with you ensuring you don’t have to wait for anything. For dessert we had gajjar halwa another hit. We were served chai on the house which was karak and a gesture well received. This place is being run by a team who is passionate about the job they are doing and it’s a must visit for anyone who has Pakistani roots. Mr Khalid who runs the place is a thorough gentleman and makes sure your visit is memorable.

I had takeaway from here last week on the 2nd Oct and today it's the 8th and my stomach is STILL hurting with the food poisoning. Ffs why don't you guys make sure that your food ingredients are all in date and/or make sure hygiene standards are met. This is ridiculous, the food was absolutely bland and not cooked fresh at all.
