We last visited this restaurant on 24 April this year. It was a very poor experience. I tried to contact the management to explain my thoughts but couldn’t so I wrote a TripAdvisor review. After many chats with them later and my offers of suggested changes to their systems and supervision I wondered if anythings changed……Marginally! Reception slightly improved. Trying to place an order or seeking assistance ..requiring a drink..or the bill. Still very difficult to 'catch the eye’ of the food service team who were NOT busy. I asked if there was a manager on duty and got a mumble reply that suggested more than one…….but nobody came to see us. I made a very bad choice. A tasteless grilled chicken ramen…..the chicken was grossly over cooked and therefore very dry and tough. I won’t make that mistake again. My wife chose much more wisely, Shu's 'skiok' chicken which she throughly enjoyed! The waiter did ask if it was all OK…my wife said it was wonderful, I said no, mine was tasteless and over cooked and he apologised. This establishment basically lacks good supervision to ensure that customers are being cared for. We like Wagamamas…but NOT THIS ONE!

First time going to a Wagamama. Had an amazing time. Matthew was very friendly and showed us to our table and took our order.

My husband and I arrived at this restaurant at 8:45 on 20/06. We were seated immediately and a drinks order taken, after a 20 minute wait I approached the bar and asked where our drinks were; throughout the time, we observed the waiting staff chatting and laughing around the bar. My query was dealt with in a dismissive manner and no apology was given. After another 10 minutes we finally got our drinks and our food was ordered, which came relatedly quickly. We asked for the bill, waited another 10 minutes and so decided to stand by our table to see if this would elicit any action from the staff. We were eventually given our bill. We were disappointed by the standard of service, especially when the restaurant was quite - there were only 10 tables being used in total, inside and out. We waited 30 minutes for a food order and drinks, then another 10 minutes for the bill. Also what is happening to the portion sizes? they seem to be shrinking!!

We have been to this cafe a good number of times and i couldn’t recommend enough for the majority or the times we have been. However, we went this morning and the lady who was serving us (we have never seen her before) was very rude. My partner ordered a coffee and she brought over the wrong coffee, he politely asked if this could be fixed and she told him he was wrong and didn’t know about coffee (he is a fully trained barista) and then just rudely said ‘so what do u want instead then?’ all the other staff members we have met are very polite and friendly except the one we were greeted by today.

Visited here on a night in Thrapston. First class in customer service and food. Never had a better meal. We were welcomed and it was packed, no wonder, glad we booked. There were a few waiting on tables and they were efficient and entertaining.

Although the service in the cafe was slow and the staff forgot to bring me my order, the food was actually very tasty. However, the visit to the toilet was horrendous - the toilet seat in the unisex, accessible toilet had been left up to, to expose the most disgusting orange/brown urine staining (see photo's). I reported this to the store manager, who couldn't have been less interested - despite me showing her the toilet seat, she offered no apology, smiled and stated that it had already been reported and she was already aware of it. I believe she said that it was being addressed next week, so if anyone needs the toilet, you may be better to cross your legs until you can find somewhere more sanitary to use! Very annoyingly, the manager saw fit to speak to somebody on her headset whilst I was talking to her - really disrespectful and patronising. Really not the standard that I expected from Waitrose!
