I absolutely do not recommend this place. My girlfriend and I ordered dinner – Yaki Udon and Shirodashi Pork Belly Ramen. Setting aside the fact that the dishes themselves were mediocre both in appearance and taste (which is subjective), unfortunately, in one of the dishes (Yaki Udon), we found a piece of metal that my girlfriend nearly swallowed. The piece of metal looked like it came from a wire scouring pad used for kitchen cleaning, so I can only guess how it ended up in the dish. We reported the incident to Deliveroo, as we ordered the food through their app. They informed us that such issues are taken very seriously by both Deliveroo and the restaurant. I was asked to send a photo of the object and specify which dish it was found in. Subsequently, someone from the restaurant contacted us and requested that we bring the piece of metal to the restaurant (at my own expense and in my own free time). I agreed, as it seemed professional and as though they genuinely cared about resolving the issue. After delivering the piece of metal to the restaurant, I was assured that someone from management would contact me directly to address the situation and propose a solution. However, this is where the problems began – the restaurant never contacted me, even though it’s now been about 1.5 months since the incident. I had to repeatedly follow up with Deliveroo, who assured me several times that the restaurant would get in touch within two days. This back-and-forth went on for about two weeks, during which I practically had to beg for at least a refund for the dish that contained the metal. Eventually, I received a refund for the entire order, but it was issued by Deliveroo, not the restaurant. The restaurant itself never contacted me, nor did I receive any apology for the incident. Even after taking time out of my day to personally visit the restaurant, incurring additional expenses like parking fees (since the restaurant is in the city center), my issue was completely ignored and swept under the rug. No one seemed to care at all about what I found in the food. I’m extremely disappointed. I do not recommend this place. Their approach to customer service is appalling, if not downright dismissive. I usually don’t leave negative reviews, but in this case, I couldn’t let it slide and felt compelled to share my experience to warn others about the lack of professionalism at this establishment.

Ordered delivery on a Sunday. The ramen noodles were so overcooked, they were like mush. I’m guessing this is due to sitting in the broth a while whilst waiting to be delivered - perhaps it would be better to package the broth separately to avoid this. The chicken teriyaki donburi was cold and flavourless, and the chicken itself was tough. I’ve eaten in the restaurant before and it was nice and fresh, but clearly after 20 minutes of the food leaving the kitchen it all goes a bit wrong. Real shame. TL;DR: Restaurant = nice. Delivery = not nice.

Wasn’t upto the usual Wagamama standard our table and chairs were dirty and when the food came 2 mains were cold, no utensils on the table had to ask for them and when they brought them they were literally just thrown on the table. For this kind of service £120 for 4 people wasn’t really worth it and we won’t be using this branch again.

We went in here for a meal, lots of empty tables. The front of house staff are miserable and rude. We were ignored for 10 minutes, at one point a lady came to the front table where we were waiting, didn't look at us, ignored my girlfriend when she said 'excuse me' and walked off! Unfortunately this isn't the first time this has happened to us at this wagamamas but it will be the last.

Went for our anniversary meal as we both love Asian food. I expected the place to be quiet (it being a Monday at 6pm) but it was very busy, and had a lovely atmosphere. The staff were very attentive and friendly. The menu looked appetising and varied. The food didn't disappoint, it was so fresh and tasty. Highly recommended.

Went for the first time today and was not disappointed! I have a severe nut allergy and the staff were so accommodating, to the point a manager was the only one allowed to take my order, have my own specific chef. It's not very often I can eat at a restaurant with 100% confidence with my allergy. Food was absolutely amazing. Me and my partner had the Korean BBQ beef buns which were stunning, the tama squid ( I could of ate 20 of these beauties). The tantanmen beef brisket ramen was delicious and so filling I actually couldn't eat it all, the portions you get is crazy! My partner had the katsu chicken curry which was also delicious Will definitely be going again Definitely recommend

It's a shame the delicious food was let down by the disappointing service. Staff ignored us and appeared to stand chatting together idly, then when you come to pay, the computerised system asks if you want to give a tip - for what? It all had a rushed, in-and-out conveyor belt feel and given the price point (it's not cheap) I don't think I'll be rushing to return.

Was totally humiliated after asking for a gluten free menu as I have an intolerance. After repeatedly telling the waiter it is not an allergy I was embarrassed in front of my friends whilst he went through a theatrical response. All i asked for was a menu denoting my gluten free choices. After 15 years of being gluten intolerant I have never had such a ridiculous response.

We have now been served cold food 4 times on the bounce here. Each time we send it back and it then comes out hot. I can’t see why they can’t get this right in the first place. Today, they took the meal away and proved it. It was sent back as soon as it landed. It seems to be under staffed meaning the service is poor. Takes a while for orders to come and then poor excuses for cold food. “It’s cooked in a wok with no lid so it can’t get that hot” Just wow….

Been a few times over the last few years and it's always busy with a good atmosphere, and good service. This for me is the best bit about this wagamama and the reason for going once or twice per year, and the fact its local and a change- but we wouldn't drive specially out of town for this restaurant for the reason given below. As we frequently eat authentic Asian food including Japanese, the food itself from wagamama is definitely not authentic - to be fair, I don't believe Wagamama claim otherwise. Our review is therefore very much based on us regularly eating authentic japanese food. Our view is that the food served at wagamama is very average its ok, its pleasant. This is where there is a significant mismatch. Wagamama charge very high prices for what is in our opinion very average asian "inspired" food along with very small portions. It is not value for money. If you are looking for authentic Japanese food, do not go to Wagamama. However if you live in Telford, want a change of scenery and something to eat that is inspired from Japan, give it a go - and prepare to need desserts as you could walk away still hungry. Save your pennies ready too for the bill.

The food was OK. The restaurant was busy. Several times the staff presented an inconvenience to us as a favour which I didn’t like. (In the queue) “I’m going to stop people coming in (even though we’ve got empty tables) so that we can get on top of the food if that’s OK with you.” “Your food may come at different times if that’s OK with you.” (It did, some mains came first-not great and not OK but it wasn’t really an option.) We also waited ages for three drinks-we had asked for green tea and water (which were all free) so we got the impression they wanted us to leave instead so we did.

Dined in Monday 19th Feb 2024, could not fault the service and food at all. A family member with us has a food allergy and we had the manager on shift take or order and go through their allergy protocol with us. We honestly could not fault Michaels customer service. Really made us feel like nothing was too much and checked thoroughly with us about different food options for the allergy. Explained to us that the head chef would be making that meal and really put us at ease. As a family with a serious allergy these little things really make going out to eat bearable and not a worrying time at all. We would always come back to this Wagamamas, service is always good and food is always 10/10. Big thanks again to Micheal.

I had not been to Wagamama before and I was not disappointed - I loved the ambience of the place and it was busy for a Monday in January which is surely a good sign. More importantly the food I had (pork belly ramen bowl) was delicious. No problems with service at all - our waitress was efficient and friendly, checked all was OK with the food. I will definitely be returning.

To preface, I get that the resturant was busy, i get they have to have a high-turn around so they can deal with everyone moving through the resturant to get as much business as possible. I did not find it amusing or fun to be interupted twice while in the middle of a conversation i was clearly enjoying to be asked if I like drinks now or food now. I cannot rightfully tell you what to do, it's a skill to recognise when a server is wanted or not wanted. The server that dealt with me DID NOT have this skill and came across as an annoying nag. Also seemed to not understand what "half of the bill" meant but to be fair might of meant "half the items" rather than "half the price" but i'm really reaching for an olive branch for this simple typical moment of easy communication. Food is good, kept to it's standard, crowded due to time but it wasn't so bad.

Arrived at Wagamama after hearing lots about the place. Walked in around 7pm. We were literally the only ones in there. However, were left to stand for around 7 minutes as they the young staff were more interested in getting the Just Eat orders out instead of looking after customers that make the effort to turn up to dine in! We were eventually seated, ordered food which was nice with no complaints, but really need to put walk in customers as a priority over sat at home ones.

First time going to a Wagamamas - ever. Me and my partner were a little unsure what to expect. Atmosphere was good, everywhere seemed clean and tidy which is always nice. We were seated quickly and our server (his name was Jordan) was very at tentative and well mannered - took our order quite quickly and allowed us extra time to check over the menu. I’d say the staff here all seem very friendly. However, our issue came after our starter; they only served one of our mains, the other was nowhere in sight. I assumed the guy (different to our actual server) was just going to go back to the kitchen and grab the second dish - he didn’t. We were obviously slightly confused but both me and partner noticed, as minutes ticked by, that the servers seemed to be almost pretending they hadn’t noticed that we were obviously waiting for our second meal. We managed to ask Jordan about it after almost ten minutes (my partner won’t eat unless both meals are on the table, so theirs was just getting colder by the second), and he was very polite - apologised and took it upon himself to ensure the meal made it to the table in the next couple minutes. The meal itself was okay - I don’t fully understand the hype but that’s just personal preference (I do, however, recommend the steak bun starter). Finally, when it came to the hill - the poor waiter completely forgot about our to-go box for the remaining food. In his defense, it was a busy Saturday evening and the place was very busy.

Overhyped and overpriced First time trying wagamama and was eager to try it as id heard such good things and love japanese food. Ordered through delivered so can't really comment on atmosphere but the food was made and arrived promptly and was hot on arrival. The dishes themselves were a major disappointment, I paid £28 for two mains and felt completely robbed The katsu chicken, was very sad looking, just a small dollop of rice and a small thin piece of katsu chicken covered in curry sauce.didnt feel it was worth the £13+ I paid for it at all. The shorodashi pork ramen was a much better portion size in general, the pork itself was lovely but there wasnt much of it. The noodles and vegetables were overcooked but I chalk that up to it being sat in the hot broth during transport. Again didnt feel the £15 price tag was reflected in the dish. Miso soup was fairly priced at £2 a portion and was probably the least disappointing item on our order. Paid nearly £40 in total for two portions of soup and 2 mains with delivery and service charges and regretted it.

We were quickly seated at our table and the menu was explained to us. The waitress was very quick to take our drinks order which we appreciated. We ordered the duck and the pork gyoza. The duck gyoza came with a gorgeous cherry dipping sauce but the gyoza themselves weren't the best, they tasted over fried and we're on the cusp of being dry. My husband enjoyed the pork which had been steam cooked. Our mains arrived very quickly from ordering and whilst we were half way through our starters (annoying) so we put our starters to the side to enjoy the main. I ate maybe 3 mouthfuls before calling a waitress over as it was cold. The rice was hot but the curry sauce definitely wasn't. My husband's was the same! The waitress took them both away and the chef cooked us fresh dishes. I had my eye on the pass and our new dishes were sat, waiting to be bought over for maybe 5 minutes, not under a hot lamp... explains the lack of temperature on the dishes as the second lot wasn't piping either but we daren't mention it again so just ate them. We didn't have anyone come over to check it was ok this time around. I won't be returning.

We were so pleased that we were able to sit outside with our little dog. Every staff member was extremely friendly and took the time to chat. We didn’t realise the food would just be served as it was ready so this did result in one of us eating much sooner than the other. The food was delicious though and we’d definitely return.

Unlike london telford doesn't understand solo diners. I was treated like I was an inconvenience. When I asked for tap water the girl repeated to me just tap water twice. She barely gave eye contact and just seemed very 'off'. The food arrived but the chicken firecracker was cold but I did not want to be in that restaurant any longer so I ate what I could and left without tipping and I never leave without tipping!

Felt like I was walking into McDonald's, the way the seating arrangement was. If you're a fan of rice and noodles, you'll love this place, but not for me. Aside from that, it was clean and tidy.

First time going, perfect lunch, all four of us thoroughly enjoyed our food. Especially the breaded banana and miso ice cream it was delicious! Great service, can't wait to go again.

I been to other wagamamas. But, the staff in this one was spot on, the lady who greeted us was really charming despite my three year old being a nightmare (spent 4 hours in a hot car travelling from Norwich!). She made us feel at ease and gave him crayons to keep him occupied. They were on it with allergies, their website was really easy to use to identify what we can have/not have due to a milk allergy. The manager was spot on by double checking everything we ordered just to make sure everything was milk free. Special mention to the young man Bavoh who was so attentive and personable. When my little toddler was having a moment- like they do. He was patient, understanding and just over all fabulous! I was completely shocked to find out he was new to the team! Seriously good customer service! Thank you, for such a good start to our holiday 🙏

I adore Wagamamas and will usually visit these restaurants around the UK so I was so excited that one was opening in my home town. It is the worst Wagamamas I have ever visited. The tables are cleaned between guest but the floor is always trashed. The customer service you’d expect from other restaurants is none existent. The trainee staff do not appear to have any support. The more established staff just wanna take your order and go and are so abrupt. Then there’s the food. It looks like high wagamamas standard however it usually tastes bland in comparison to other sites. That’s if you get the correct order or it hasn’t been sat on the pass for ages going cold. I still love Wagamamas just not this one. I won’t be going back to this site again.

I will never go there again. Food is over priced. Of course it is the usual wagamamas price but it is not wagamamas standard. Food comes at all different times, portion sizes are tiny even if you’ve ordered extra meat. You don’t expect to have complaints about the food and portion sizes if you’re paying over £50 for a meal for two. They often run out of foods. Their delivery standards are even worse because they charge the same amount but it’s more difficult to complain. Portion sizes are just too small for the price.

I went for lunch yesterday with my work colleague 16.03.23. Whilst the food was delicious I was very disappointed with the service. My colleague is autistic and struggles with loud noises and busy spaces but loves Asian food and had always wanted to try Wagamammas. I asked the waitress if we could sit in a small two person booth, away from other people and the large table she had directed us to. She told me that we couldn't sit there as there were only two members off staff on. Even though it was less than two metres away from where we were stood. I could tell my colleague was getting nervous and really wanted to sit down, so I pressed the matter again saying "I would really appreciate it if we could sit in one of the booths". There was clearly a good reason why I was asking. My colleague is recently diagnosed and is still coming to terms with his diagnosis, so I didn't feel it appropriate to stand there in the middle of the restaurant and explain the situation to the waitress. Again she replied that we couldn't sit in a booth as that section was closed. We ate at the long table but when we left I could see that people were sat in the booths. My colleague really struggled at the long table and whilst we enjoyed our food it was a stressful situation for him that could have easily been avoided. I suggest that Wagamama invest in some neurodiversity training for their staff. I'm not sure whether I will be able to convince my colleague to go back again but I hope others don't have to experience what we did.

What a lovely place to eat. The staff are all pleasant and smiley; nothing was too much trouble for them. Sn example was that I had seen a chicken makhani curry on the website but it wasn't available for evening meals but, I only had to ask, they checked to see if I could have one and came back and said it was no problem. Where else would you get that personal service? 8 off us in the party and every one of us was complimentary about the whole experience.

I regularly order from here my son has autism and is very particular about food and it’s hard getting him to eat some days you always make his fish fingers or sausage with carrot mash and beans perfect he eats the whole meal so thank you I just wanted to show some appreciation X

Our second time ime to the Woolpack the staff are very helpful, Michelle how serviced me was very helpful with the menu and what to order, the food was excellent and worth the money, would highly recommend and will be going again
