Beef was hard to cut quite chewey on this visit but other part of meal was good . Disabled parking was 2 spaces but not disabled cars in them so no parking for disabled as taken up by a white van and a 4x4 vercle but is wheelchair friendly.

Went here for Sunday lunch and to my surprise its a carvery and it was fantastic. They had all my favourites: cauliflower cheese, choice of three meats, stuffing etc. Very friendly staff and generous portions.

It is a good pub there to get a drink with your mates, and they are quick making drinks, and they are quick on making food and the atmosphere is good the kids love the playground but it could be expanded and there is not normally a cue

Booked for Sunday carvery as close to home, didn't disappoint, good home cooked food, nice relaxed atmosphere, excellent value for money. Don't be put off by the exterior, the seating area and conservatory are very clean and welcoming, highly recommended.

Mother-in-law's wake on 21st June. Met licence (Joulz) for planning, very helpful and good ideas re flowers and photos. On the day the buffet was delicious and plenty of it, staff were great, nice room with patio doors to go outside. Drinks from the bar were very affordable. Thank you.

The best carvery ive had in years.. fantastic beef and gammon and excellent roast potatoes.. excellent value for £7.00 per person.. desserts are extra but worth the money.. 10 out of 10..

I visited here on mothering Sunday, the welcome I received was quite upsetting, I have cancer and I currently have weekly chemotherapy I came in at 12pm, the welcome I received was not to be expected. I asked for a child's carvery for myself because i could not eat an adult size. The barmaid shouted over to the carvery staff where I felt pressured. And very embarrassed. The table was booked in by a friend I did not know her by her nickname, i found myself standing at the bar having to explain to the carvery staff and barmaid. My son went to the table to wait for me and because the barmaid was extremely loud over the bar and had no acknowledgement of my situation. I felt I was put into a position to explain myself, my son accidentally knocked his drink over, the lady came over to help from the carvery and another kind member of staff had helped also. The carvery lady asked my son to go to the bar and she will sort him another drink. He did so but was greeted again by the barmaid, who told him to wait because there's a queue and he would have to pay. The food was lovely but I cannot say alot for the staff.

They advertise food and drink all day every day, but no they don't , food not available Mon, Tues, Wed.

Good pub, usually has entertainment on a Friday evening, and a good atmosphere. Can't comment as far as the food is concerned as yet to have food here.

Lovely local with friendly staff. I belive they serve Indian food served Thurs-Sat and traditional Sunday lunch on, well u guessed it, Sunday.

Went for curry night Ordered starter and mains Both came out together, when spoke to them they offered to take mains back in kitchen and reheat them when we were ready, A BIG NO NO Then they forgot the rice which finally came out piping hot but mains was warm When asked if everything ok ,we were polite and said no they tried blaming me saying thats how I asked for it Why would anyone want that she then tried blaming they chef Chicken had a very funny texture quite rubbery

Visited this pub for the first time on Sunday for lunch. The meat was dry and obviously reheated, Yorkshire like leather vegetables out of a tin except for the sprouts which were cooked to death and bitter, not like the ones we buy from Aldi for pennies. The whole meal was worse than 60's school dinners. Very cheap but better quality for double the price would be better. They have obviously suffered through Covid and unfortunately are not now what the reviews suggest. Will give it six months and try again hopefully they will be back on form with a proper carvery but not if they upset too many new customers. Booking was also a nightmare as the published phone number does not work. Had to book on Facebook which may be ok for the youngsters but not the way to attract senior lunch time diners.

Good value for money, staff very good.

A Dawley/Malenslee pub for local people .. but all are welcome from far and wide.. With a kareoke/Music might every Friday night and a northern soul / Motown night on the last Friday of the month

My 1st visit... obviously recently refurbished. Well presented .. pleasant ,helpful barmaid. initial impression...I like this place , but after checking out choice of drinks on offer ,changed my mind ..plenty of choice if you like keg beers ..cider or lager but ,alas very limited if like me you like real ale. Didn't initially intend to have lunch ,but the menu looked inviting. Sunday lunch ...three meats on offer ..price rediculously low £5.00 .. couldn't resist it. Service good ..meal , unfortunately average . Although you get a Full plate , presentation and flavour a little lacking. Marks out of ten ...6 . But will give it another go .

The staff get hit with 20+ covers in one go! As our breakfast club descends on them, having said this, the staff cope fantastically well, keeping the hot food flowing. A definite return

The staff are friendly and attentive. The Indian food is lovely and well priced and available Monday to Saturday fro m 5pm till 9pm. A traditional Sunday lunch is served on Sundays with a choice of meats, plenty of vegetables and mashed & roasted potatoes and is very nice. A nice place to go and have some good food and a beverage or two.

Myself and a mate had some free time and popped to Telford for the weekend. We found this pub by chance and are so glad we did. Its a 15 minute walk from the chain bars and restaurants. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we stepped in. We were surprised that the food was only Indian and even more surprised at the quality of it. I had chicken biryani with hot sauce and by gow was it. My mate had mixed grill (the small one) and it was like a mountain of meat. This is definitely on my revisit list

beware if your looking for a job. They ask you to work a trial shift when they need extra staff for a function (5 hour trial) they offer you the job, don't pay you and ignore communication. Way to get free labour!! Will be reporting to Department if work!

Covid 19 regulations has reduced it's appeal. Hope it recovers soon.

Used to be a great pub when max and Becky was running it. Since they left it has gone downhill

Cheapest Newky brown in or around Telford, that's good enough for me.

Dreadful. The pub has a good history and used to be a nice local but they turn a blind eye to more than they should and you have people blind drunk in there by midday. By early evening half the ones who've been there all day are really drunk and just causing trouble. Carpark is covered in glass and even know if kids hanging around the back waiting for the older yobs inside to bring them drinks out. It isn't the same as it was before. Avoid.

It's got a nice beer garden and kids play area. With shaded spots if you don't like the sun. Dogs are welcome. Drink prices are ok too. They serve meals here ( just pub food) but adequate and staff are friendly.

A pub with no wine and limited beer place looks shabby vast improvement need before I go in there again

All the staff are friendly and welcoming, it has a good children's play area. The food is homemade and its tastes great but looks a bit basic, prices are very good. When I was there they had a dj playing music.

Drinks reasonable priced but food served limited menu and a lot items not stocked Fast foods served but unempressed with spicy chicken burger and chips with salad Could have done with dressing to go with salad and chips dry For extra cheese and bacon unempressed with quantity supplied did enjoy most of it but would think twice about eating again As shame as carvery previously had was nice Need to look at food Also our table unempressed as served meat dish instead of veg one Chips instead of salad and wrong garlic bread got cheesey bread Beans over cooked Such ashame

This had been recommended but when we got there on Sunday afternoon they had stopped serving due to running out of meat. Shame. The food smell still lingering smelt nice. Difficult to gauge when they serve until as this was blocked out on the sign outside. I guess the fact that they had sold out suggests it is good but we went on to the Toby carvery and were disappointed in it. I'd like to be able to find menus and serving times on line

Food was over cooked.staff were very rude.other customers were actually smoking what smelt like cannabis in the garden were children were playing.would not recommend this place.come on wicketts sort the problems out and management.

Visited the church wicketts today to try their new carvery, wasn't disappointed. 4 different meats to choose from and a large selection of different vegetables. All very tasty and served hot. The place is under new management, Terry (the new manager) did the serving himself. Lovely man, even made the time for a little conversation with us. Will definitely be back!

Out for few drinks with the girls and decided to order some food quick service friendly staff and four of us ordered and all meals were delicious and really good price good value for money would definitely come again

Called in for a meal after work as previously been well pleased. Well, exceptionally pleased again! Had an 8oz steak with chips, mushrooms, onion rings, peas and tomato. My partner had steak as well but opted for a salad to go with it. I wanted mine cooked medium rear and my partner medium. Well..cooked to perfection by Natalie..and my steak was well thick, my partner having requested a thinner one. All excellently presented and all cooked to perfection. For sweet I had a Knickerbocker glory that was packed with ice cream, fruit and creme. All very pleasingly priced . £18 all in with a bottle of cabernet sauvignon to compliment. A local pub..no frills...just good honest food with excellent service. Viva Natalie!. Your cooking is first class. We'll be back. Don't change something that is good!

Excellent food and service. Both had a steak, medium rear, and cooked to perfection. Had a fudge cake and knickerboker glory for a sweet and that was excellent too and also at great price. Well pleased.
