Ordered it through Deliveroo app. The best part was the hot honey chicken -teriyaki! Also tried the chicken gyoza, beef bao buns, and the prawn crackers.

"Bungee Gum has the properties of both rubber and gum", had been mentioned several times throughout Hunter x Hunter. It is almost uncomfortable if it was not mentioned by a character named Hisoka. This level of comfort is what I expect from Wagamama and they nail it, it's not surprising but you expect it when you get there. Like Bambi's mum dying, "oh wow, there it is, she's dead..." just predictable. Nothing wrong with it, just predictable great service and comfort safe food in my opinion.

Fabulous food, feels like healthy eating. The kids menu options are healthy and quite large portions. Staff are always friendly and efficient, also providing high confidence for those with allergies.

i love wagamamas, everyone there is lovely, the atmosphere is lush, the lighting is lovely, it’s so kid friendly and the food is absolutely delicious. they also amend your order to your preference and bring out everything hot and ready. i highly recommend trying the roti. it’s always got the perfect texture.

Lovely food but it took time for food to come out together. My wife had hers first and I was still waiting for mine to come out after 10 mins or more after my wife had her's.

I had the pleasure of being served by Costin at Wagamama's Newport recently (ID 10148), and I just have to say what an absolute delight it was. From the moment we started chatting, he was incredibly polite and personable, taking the time to ask about my day and engage in a genuine conversation. It's clear that Costin truly cares about his customers and takes immense pride in his work. His helpfulness and professionalism made the experience that much better. What a lovely gentleman! Food was it's usual good quality expected at Wagamma. Lots of choices. Service was slow.. We asked for glasses of water when our mains were served and we didn't get any. By the time we'd finished our mains and the waitress came to take the plates. We had to remind her that we still hadn't had our water which she did then bring but it was a bit late. My friend had eaten his main before my arrived! So after I had sat and watched him eat all of his with an empty stomach, he then had to watch me eat all of mine with a full one. Not the best experience when you want to go out and have a meal with a friend but tasty food all the same.

I ordered delivery and I got a chili wagamama and a gnoza chicken. It was OK. From other wagamama chains it was slightly bland and no flavor of chili. This was a saddening experience from Deliveroo on wagamama

My teriyaki steak was a little over done for tastes but as we were in a little bit of rush they discounted the meal as a goodwill gesture. Otherwise another delicious meal accompanied by really helpful and friendly staff!

Had a lovely experience with my friends. The food was lovely and arrived very quickly. Our server (Tom) was very attentive and helpful!

I'm a big fan of ramen, but Wagamama doesn’t quite hit the mark. It’s a decent option if there’s no other proper ramen spot nearby, but it doesn’t compare to the flavors you'd expect from a good Japanese restaurant. I had the usual chili chicken ramen – the broth was underwhelming and lacked the depth of flavor I was hoping for. Not bad, but not great either.

Food was lovely, staff were friendly but the toilets are not good, that was disappointing. Maybe more checks as kitchen staff will use those which isn't a nice thought.

A special treat! We haven't been out for a meal in such a long time and what a great meal it was. The staff were friendly and the food was great! The only wrong I found was how long it took for drinks to come to us. But it was very busy at the time. Highly recommended!

Wagamama isn’t really my favourite, however visited while in Newport at the request of my niece. Food was okay but I just wanted to give a shout out to the staff who are extremely welcoming, attentive and lovely all round.

Music was a bit loud, however- food was incredible and Esme was lovely and delivered excellent service

It's always great to visit. Friendly staff and fast food. Our 2, 6 and 15 year old children all love it. The children's helper chopsticks are fantastic.

We’ve found this location is hit or miss. Today we ordered lunch for my mother’s birthday. Unfortunately it was a miss. We all ordered the same dish. Yaki udon. None of which had any prawns in them. The chili squid was stone cold, along with both the curry sauce and the Japanese rice. The crunchy onions served with the udon dish were so hard and over cooked that my grandfather couldn’t chew them and my mother cracked a tooth. Absolutely shocking. Neither could finish their lunch due to this. It’s not the first time we’ve had an issue from this location. At a price point of 70 pounds for lunch for four, we were more than disheartened by the experience. Being that the restaurant was empty at the time leaves few excuses. There were no other tables at the restaurant. Save your money. Eat somewhere else. Yours kindly, One truly unhappy family.

A very warm welcome from Elle this evening. Had a horrible 5 hour car journey Needed good food and quick and we know we spotted this place and was treated promptly and with a warm welcome. Shown to our table and was asked about food allergy which one of us had. Food order was taken and food was amazing thankyou again elle for the warm welcome and sevice

Went in today where we were served by Brogan who was really friendly and helpful. I usually stick to the ginger udon but tried the curry and it was lovely and nicely presented. As always the pork buns were really tasty. Looking forward to our next visit.

I had a lovely meal with my father at, friars walk, Newport, wales. We were kindly served by a lovely lady called, Brogan. She gave us a lovely, friendly and warm welcome to Wagamamas. The food was delicious and staff were checking on us throughout the meal, I even found out that I like kimchi! She even let me borrow her pen for some doodles! Thank you Wagamamas! Jess. X

Went about lunch time today, food brilliant as usual. One thing that stood out was our waitress, Elle, who even after working a long shift, still had a smile on her face and was a pleasure to be around. Adding into this, we've come again, (and again and again lol) but it's the 8th November and we were served by a gent called Steve. Unbelievable service. Not sure how long he's been here but definitely made for the role. Sure his service would make people come again.

Food was mediocre 😕, the staff were lovely and very polite and attentive to our (mine especially) needs and allergies. The Food just needs better seasonings

Everything about this place is off got food poisoning from here got blanked so many times and just made me feel uncomfortable over and over

We had a green power drink and ginger tea and those were fresh and very nice Then the food was amazing and very flavourful but the best thing about our visit was the waitress Jennifer! What a lovely woman :) definitely come back again!

Popped in for dinner when travelling for work. There was a 20min wait for the table and there was a couple waiting after me (I was on my own) and every time the staff came to speak to everyone waiting for the table, they completely overlooked me and spoke to the couple behind me which was quite rude. There was also a knife (although could’ve been a toy) on one of the outside tables by the entrance and the staff seemed to be unphased. Food was good, service has a lot to improve on.

Who doesn't love Wagamamas! Katsu Curry for my son, and Chicken Firecracker for myself. Both dishes absolutely gorgeous and full of flavour as always. The katsu came out a little later than planned, due to an error. However the manager apologies and offered a free drink which was pleasant and nice of him. Service is always amazing, and reassuring. It's a plethora or flavours whatever dish you pick!

Can not fault the service here - always 10/10

I often (jokingly) call myself a Wagamama sl*t because I like the food that much. My favourite? The tama squid (starter). I visited with my American friend, I myself am from Belgium, and received the most pleasant service from a slender build lady with glasses (I believe her name was Jennifer, I cannot remember, I'm so sorry 😅) who couldn't stop smiling, checked in with us twice at appropriate times, dartled along the restaurant like a young Springbok and it was just so enjoyable to see. My Pad Thai was amazing but I was surprised by the lack of nuts in the dish. Flavour was amazing however so I thoroughly enjoyed it nonetheless. I always sip on a free cup of green tea which they are happy to refill whenever you like - big bonus for me. Definitely a big fan of this place and I hope to find a good reason to come back very soon!

Food only gets 5 stars as I'm still bitter about chicken itame being taken off the menu years ago. It is in no way a reflection of the actual 5 start rating it deserves.
