Thoroughly enjoy going to waggamas, staff are super friendly, quick service , overall an enjoyable experience !

A special treat! We haven't been out for a meal in such a long time and what a great meal it was. The staff were friendly and the food was great! The only wrong I found was how long it took for drinks to come to us. But it was very busy at the time. Highly recommended!

Wagamama isn’t really my favourite, however visited while in Newport at the request of my niece. Food was okay but I just wanted to give a shout out to the staff who are extremely welcoming, attentive and lovely all round.

Music was a bit loud, however- food was incredible and Esme was lovely and delivered excellent service

It's always great to visit. Friendly staff and fast food. Our 2, 6 and 15 year old children all love it. The children's helper chopsticks are fantastic.

The ramen is horrendous. Do not get, salmon sashimi and soft drink was nice

We’ve found this location is hit or miss. Today we ordered lunch for my mother’s birthday. Unfortunately it was a miss. We all ordered the same dish. Yaki udon. None of which had any prawns in them. The chili squid was stone cold, along with both the curry sauce and the Japanese rice. The crunchy onions served with the udon dish were so hard and over cooked that my grandfather couldn’t chew them and my mother cracked a tooth. Absolutely shocking. Neither could finish their lunch due to this. It’s not the first time we’ve had an issue from this location. At a price point of 70 pounds for lunch for four, we were more than disheartened by the experience. Being that the restaurant was empty at the time leaves few excuses. There were no other tables at the restaurant. Save your money. Eat somewhere else. Yours kindly, One truly unhappy family.

Who doesn’t love a wagamamas. Food was absolutely belting as always. Izzy our server was extremely polite and the service was spot on.

A very warm welcome from Elle this evening. Had a horrible 5 hour car journey Needed good food and quick and we know we spotted this place and was treated promptly and with a warm welcome. Shown to our table and was asked about food allergy which one of us had. Food order was taken and food was amazing thankyou again elle for the warm welcome and sevice

Came here recently with a work colleague for dinner. Great meal, as always at Wagamamas . Service was good, food was delicious and tasty. Food comes out as and when ready.

Great staff, tasty chilli squid and mains, well maintained. Great for a filling evening meal. Music a bit too loud on certain bassy tracks?

We were quickly seated and served upon arrival, food arrived piping hot and as tasty as ever. Staff were really friendly and accommodating of our toddler

Went in today where we were served by Brogan who was really friendly and helpful. I usually stick to the ginger udon but tried the curry and it was lovely and nicely presented. As always the pork buns were really tasty. Looking forward to our next visit.

I had a lovely meal with my father at, friars walk, Newport, wales. We were kindly served by a lovely lady called, Brogan. She gave us a lovely, friendly and warm welcome to Wagamamas. The food was delicious and staff were checking on us throughout the meal, I even found out that I like kimchi! She even let me borrow her pen for some doodles! Thank you Wagamamas! Jess. X

Ramen was tasty but quite dry, bit disappointing not having the nice broth in it to warm it up. Nice packaging though.

I found the service excellent due to the friendly and helpful staff. The bao buns were delicious and the Pad Thai main course was so tasty. I would recommend Wagamama for the tasty food and attentive helpful staff.

Went about lunch time today, food brilliant as usual. One thing that stood out was our waitress, Elle, who even after working a long shift, still had a smile on her face and was a pleasure to be around. Adding into this, we've come again, (and again and again lol) but it's the 8th November and we were served by a gent called Steve. Unbelievable service. Not sure how long he's been here but definitely made for the role. Sure his service would make people come again.

Food was mediocre 😕, the staff were lovely and very polite and attentive to our (mine especially) needs and allergies. The Food just needs better seasonings

Everything about this place is off got food poisoning from here got blanked so many times and just made me feel uncomfortable over and over

We had a green power drink and ginger tea and those were fresh and very nice Then the food was amazing and very flavourful but the best thing about our visit was the waitress Jennifer! What a lovely woman :) definitely come back again!

Popped in for dinner when travelling for work. There was a 20min wait for the table and there was a couple waiting after me (I was on my own) and every time the staff came to speak to everyone waiting for the table, they completely overlooked me and spoke to the couple behind me which was quite rude. There was also a knife (although could’ve been a toy) on one of the outside tables by the entrance and the staff seemed to be unphased. Food was good, service has a lot to improve on.

Great food I love their katsu Curry definitely recommend if you're a fan of Japanese food

Who doesn't love Wagamamas! Katsu Curry for my son, and Chicken Firecracker for myself. Both dishes absolutely gorgeous and full of flavour as always. The katsu came out a little later than planned, due to an error. However the manager apologies and offered a free drink which was pleasant and nice of him. Service is always amazing, and reassuring. It's a plethora or flavours whatever dish you pick!

Not sure about this outlet, I definitely had better at Wagamama elsewhere

I often (jokingly) call myself a Wagamama sl*t because I like the food that much. My favourite? The tama squid (starter). I visited with my American friend, I myself am from Belgium, and received the most pleasant service from a slender build lady with glasses (I believe her name was Jennifer, I cannot remember, I'm so sorry 😅) who couldn't stop smiling, checked in with us twice at appropriate times, dartled along the restaurant like a young Springbok and it was just so enjoyable to see. My Pad Thai was amazing but I was surprised by the lack of nuts in the dish. Flavour was amazing however so I thoroughly enjoyed it nonetheless. I always sip on a free cup of green tea which they are happy to refill whenever you like - big bonus for me. Definitely a big fan of this place and I hope to find a good reason to come back very soon!

Really lovely meal here and our server Elle was so lovely and attentive. She was very patient with my toddler and made the whole experience really great.

Food only gets 5 stars as I'm still bitter about chicken itame being taken off the menu years ago. It is in no way a reflection of the actual 5 start rating it deserves.

Used to be sooo good but they must have a new kitchen team. Food today was burnt, squid smelt gone off, and the prawn firecracker soba had no flavour or prawns. Could’ve done a weeks worth of grocery shop with the amount wasted spending here.

We have been twice now on a busy Saturday night, was greeted politely with a smilie face, shown our table, our server Mark came over explained the way waga works, took our order , very prompt service , Mark was very attentive making sure we was happy with our food & drinks. Food was top class, but top marks to all the chefs working busy away and everyone can see them working, Thanks to everyone at wagamama for making our night super special.

Used to be really good. Ordered takeout and for starters got the order wrong, had to wait extra after we had already waited 30mins. Ordered food for myself and my mother. Steak in my food probably enabled my jaw to have the bite strength of a great white shark it was that tough. Hair found in my mothers chicken dish. Portions are much smaller than when it’s served in the restaurant which wagamama will deny. Food was cold as well. Wouldn’t recommend.

Me and my partner ate at wagamamas newport this evening, felt the need to leave a review because we had to mention how great the team were here. Our host was Jennifer who was just lovely, she sat us with a smile and explained the process about the food and pay on phone function to us. Our server was Elle and she was knowledgeable and friendly, the lady on the bar I didn't catch her name but even she was smiling and greeting guests on their way in and out and running drinks. You could tell they all enjoyed themselves and had good team work. Credit to your team. Now for food, I had the ramen and my partner had the pad Thai and they were both beautiful! All around a great experience at wagamamas and we will definitely be back.

Been to wagamama every weekend for the last month and from the first time to today it's been the same excellent food and friendly polite staff. It is my daughter's favourite place to eat out and we have been made so welcome every time we go. The food is just amazing .A huge shout out goes to the young girl I think her name is Al who from the second we arrive to when we leave makes sure we have everything we need and is so helpful with the menu and is so polite and nothing is too much trouble so a big thank you to her. We will enjoy many more times at this restaurant cant wait to go again
