Awful takeaway, cold, items missing and chicken chewy. So poor

Another well run Wagamama venue. What's to say, they are good. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was upto standard. The atmosphere was gently buzzing. Busy for a Monday evening. Parking close by in the Buttermarket car park. About 7min walk to either Regent Theatre or Portman Road. Happily return.

Lovely food good service but massively overpriced what a shame

We eat in Wagamama regularly be it this one or other's. Yesterday afternoons experience had it been my first time would have put me off! We were greeted by a not very friendly scruffy chap and sat at the table. We've never seen him before (so it's not like he recognised us) and he didn't ask had we'd been eaten there before which they always ask. He came and took our order which again he was miserable. A nice young lady served our drinks, she was warm and friendly. When it came to our meals we were the third couple in the restaurant so not busy at all the man walked the curry out and literally as he lifted it off the hot plate the noodles were served up creating him two trips and my partner having to wait for my food before he could eat. I noticed he sat at a table to clear it which with customers in is unprofessional. When we left the young lady thanked us and wished us well, the man just stood there po faced. I've never seen someone with such a lack of interest. I'm very much hoping wasn't in charge of the shift as he wasn't wearing the normal black uniform .

I went here a few weeks ago for an event organised by the University of Suffolk student’s union. The food was delicious and the serving staff were very friendly.

Nice, fiery and tasty experience. Perfect for the freezing wet English weather.

Food is a bit hit and miss at times, sometimes it used to be lovely but the last few times I've been the food has been burnt or tasting over done, the staff are lovely and helpful though when choosing different dishes and it has a good atmosphere but won't be visiting again.

Noodle soup with no flavour zero intensity, just noodles in water . Shame, these days a sprinkle of onion and coriander qualifies for a good soup. And a waste of a good cut of meat. Disappointing.

Been here a number of times over the years. Never disappoints! Handy it opens at 11am, for an early lunch. Added a photo of my Chicken & Prawn Yaki Soba, delicious! (£15) and my friend’s Chicken Katsu Curry, an absolute classic. (£14) We also had Power Smoothies, free as we’re Pure Gym Members & little Green Teas 🍵 Another visit I’ve added a photo of my Crispy Duck Saku Saku Soba. I feel like I was given a generous amount of duck, it was very tasty and fairly crispy. (£19) We also shared Edamame with salt 🫛 A great dish to order to share, whilst you wait! (Pictured) The Duck Gyoza was good, but different to what I expected. (Pictured, you get 5 in total) 🥟

Great food, was greeted by a young girl who said she was new there but she was really keen and attentive. Food was really nice and will definitely come back.

Our server made our experience! He was so helpful, chatty and welcoming. He gave advise of the food and told us his own personal experiences with it and even told us how to pronounce some of the words of the foods. He deserved the full tip but unfortunately told us it had to be shared with everyone on shift.

My first time with WM, absolutely fantastic. The freshness is unbeatable. The cheesecake was absolutely fantastic quality. Will be ordering again very soon.

Great food and atmosphere. Adapted for my allergy, so politely and without any fuss, unlike other places. May a have a short wait to be seated, but that's not a bother to us.

We always find the food to be excellent at Wagamama branches and this was no exception. The tofu raisukaree is a favourite and it was delicious. Found the staff here to be exceptionally good, especially our server who was great fun and very professional.

Wagamama is always really good when you have food in the restaurant. However, the delivery food is not as good as the restaurant. The ramen over the years doesn’t have much as the toppings as it used to (the bamboo shoots, spring onions, kimchee etc). The beef brisket always used to be lovely and fresh but recently it always seems dry and not as fresh. There is always very little broth in them ramen. I understand it’s difficult to deliver a dish like this that can easily spill and leak, but the dish used to have a lot more broth. Best to order in restaurant in restaurant for the best quality food than delivery.

We have already been to this restaurant several times as a family and it has never disappointed us, the food was abundant, excellent, fresh with an impeccable flavor and presentation. I want to mention that although the treatment has always been very good, on this last occasion the staff has treated us in a very special way and I wanted to thank you, tell you that you have some fans in us!! see you soon!

I came here with my friend, it was lovely meal and my first time trying too and the waitress took her time to help me know which would be the best for me to try.Very efficient too definitely come here again.

All food and drink were amazing and fresh. Staff were friendly, quick and informative. Plentiful menu along with portions, lots of great items to try. Highly recommend a visit. Special mentions to the new crispy shredded duck saku saku soba dish very tasty and the iced jenki matcha + strawberry latte a very unique and moreish drink.

Place is a must go, friendly staff and the manager there is very kind. They are welcoming and always on hand to help and assist whenever you need them. Even when busy food comes out in a timely manner and they always serve with a smile.

Staff are always really nice and helpful. They have lots of really great vegan options, the vegan ribs, tofu firecracker, and vegatsu are particularly good.

Me and my fiance we been tonight for a dinner, the guys were packed but still done an amazing job.

Fantastic, as always. Our experience was made all the better by our brilliant server, Jax, who was attentive and chatty. He made sure we had what we needed and even recommended a nice tea.

Only ordered from this branch twice and was disappointed both times. It never tasted right. Just got teriyaki chicken and it doesn’t taste like teriyaki… had to add some to it myself.

First visit and will not be the last. The staff were great and friendly, the food was amazing!

Good asian fusion place. The mini bao's with breaded fried aubergine and mushrooms are brain-melting tasty. No, really, try them. If I were to nitpick, the atmosphere is a bit "cold" and it's a bit pricey. Other than that, always a safe choice.

Had such a lovely meal. The food is absolutely delicious and we didn't want our meals to end. The staff were great and really friendly. Will definitely be going back soon. Thank you Wagamamas 😊

We had a beautiful meal, really fresh and full of flavour. Fast, friendly service and a vibrant atmosphere. This is our favourite place to eat out with friends and family.

Gyoza we're dry and inedible. More like a pasty than a Gyoza. Ramen wasn't much better with coriander just chucked on top, not even chopped and so unable to mix herbs through the broth. We used to rate wagamama, but sadly not to the standard we have had in the past.

Loved it. The staff were kind and helping and the good was lovely. And don't get me started on the fruit smoothies!

Have had many a great times here with friends and family. There is food for all to enjoy and the service is always friendly and efficient. Bare in mind they can get busy on a friday or saturday but they always do their best to get you seated and served at a reasonable pace. bathrooms are always clean and always save room for deserts ;) Great drinks options too, alcoholic and non.

Food was good quality and quick as usual, tables and environment were clean. Had Jack as our waiter, very personable young man, made us laugh and seemed to enjoy what he was doing. Made the dining experience much nicer.

Been going here several times a week for over a month. The food is absolutely delicious! The ebi katsu is my personal favourite! And the duck donburi is mouth wateringly good! The white chocolate and ginger cheesecake is amazing! And the "power" smoothie is great after a workout. The prices are a little high, but I consider it worth it given the quality of the dishes. Staff are always friendly and polite, ever eager to help. And I do go as far as tipping them here and there, when I am able to. One of my favourite aspects though, the FREE green teas. Having been on a diet lately and trying to be healthy with what I consume, having free green teas is a very welcome bonus! Highly recommend this restaurant to all.

Great restaurant speedy food just very expensive for what it is but that’s all wagas. Service was quite bland as we had to order off the app.

First taste of gyoza, and of Wagamama, and really not impressed. Both dishes very dry and tasted old and bland. All the flavour is in the sauce, and it seems like bottled sweet chilli sauce too. Not a success. Never had gyoza before, but I won't do either gyoza or Wagamama again. Not worth the price at all. Easily the worst takeout in Ipswich.

Went to eat in Wagamama yesterday for a first time. The food was OK. My toddler really enjoyed her chicken ramen.

The food was exceptional as always, however today our service was immaculate. Jack is so kind and 5* does not do their customer service enough justice, an incredible, diligent, and caring server.

Wagamama's is one of the best chains you can eat at in my opinion. The food always seems better here than other ones in the area and staff are always genuinely friendly.

Food did not come out all at once, it came out a dish at a time. One of us had finished eating before the last meal was served. The food was good. We had 4 people serve us, 2 of them were happy to be there, the other 2 shouldn't be working in hospitality as they had no personality or people skills! We spent a lot of money and received poor service.

Favourite place to go for food, the staff are lovely and there are lots of options for me to eat as a vegan. They're amazing in there with allergies as well and will help us as much as possible. Overall great place to eat.

Cool place, no privacy at the table, asking for coffee at 9 pm, unfortunately, the coffee machine was already washed and I didn't get coffee. As a place for a quick dinner, I recommend it as for a quiet family dinner, I do not recommend it too loud and without atmosphere

Never been before, really enjoyed the food. There are quite a few more dishes I'd like to try. Went at lunch time and felt a bit cramped, it was very busy. Nice atmosphere nonetheless.

Something wrong with staff here. First time takeaway order few months back was not properly packed with open lid leading to curry all over in the parcel making a huge mess leaving family disappointed as no dinner. This time home delivery order had an item missing which was my kid’s dish. Again disappointment. When called no apologies from staff at all. Hungry kids and spoiled plans!!!

I’m a regular with ordering and having Wagamama. I ordered off Deliveroo the first time, my order had a few items that I had asked no to be on there. I called up Wagamama and spoke to a very kind lady, she apologised and redelivered my whole order. They left me a sweet note on one of my items. This has made my day. Will always order from Wagamama. Thank you to the lady who spoke to me and to the chefs for my delicious meal!🙂

We were served this evening by India and she was absolutely lovely and so welcoming as soon as we arrived! We have been served by India a few times in the past and every time she has been a star and catered to our every need! I would 100% recommend going to the Ipswich Wagamama! If only all servers were as pleasant as India in other restaurants!

We arrived after 9.30pm grateful to find somewhere in central Ipswich with diners chatter and atmosphere. Lucky us and a Saturday night too!. Service was warm, welcoming helpful and friendly. We will be back.

Amazing place... the service is second to none. I don't know the name of the young chap with long hair but he was ever so friendly and nothing was too much for him. He is an absolute credit to this restaurant chain. I really hope the restaurant can figure out his name and thank him for what he does (he wears a family tree chain)...? Don't get me wrong; other staff were great too, as was the food. However, this young lad made us feel happy just because of his energy.

Food excellent as always and of course was fresh. Can't fault that. Was great to see craft beer from North Brewing on the menu. Was very busy when we went but this branch is quite small. However the server was way too over enthusiastic to the point where it felt like we were being patronised.

Went for lunch today. Staff were extremely welcoming and attentive. We were served by Emily and the bill brought by another guy (didn’t catch name) - all were really friendly! Order taken promptly and drinks arrived soon after. Food was tasty (gyoza and squid to start with duck donburri and noodles for main). Will definitely go again and recommend to others! I’m leaving, waiting staff and kitchen staff said thank you. Clearly, the ‘little things’ come naturally to staff here.

It's wagas it does what it does and they do it well, never had a bad meal here.

Took so long for a server to come and take our order as they were all just stood at the bar talking, after drinks were ordered our server went and had a whole 20 minute conversation before bringing over our drinks.

I have visited Wagamama in Ipswich several times in the last year with friends and colleagues, and have had good experiences on each occasion. The food is good both in quality and quantity set at decent prices. Staff are always pleasant. Friends and colleagues also enjoy the restaurant. Visit in confidence.
