Service here was awesome. Ana was our server and she was really attentive, very polite and had a wonderful smile. The food was good but a little overpriced for a vegetarian meal

Great food, service and atmosphere. Buzzing and busy but food came so fast, and really great food. Only downside are the toilets that could do with updating, fixing doors/locks etc. But overall great place to eat.

Stopped in with my girlfriend after work. Was greated by a server call Anna, she sat us down to the table, took amazing care of us. The food come out promptly, hot, and tasted amazing!

Ate here last weekend and our service was incredible. Jennifer was so friendly and welcoming and explained the whole process to us. Food was gorgeous and served quickly as always. Great experience all around.

Quite shocked how massive portions are served, was expecting way less and to be fair, this is very pleasant surprise! Delicious food and drinks, offering colorful palette of options. Nicely done indoor seating, outdoor area with overhead heaters keeping you warm if needed. Staff very friendly, polite and helpful. Prices decent. Will be happy to come back again soon!

We ordered through Deliveroo it turned up very quickly! But was disappointed with the fire cracker prawn curry as only had 5 prawns in the dish can’t be justified for the money! Also ordered the squid x3 and the amount of sauce was ridiculously small and the prices have gone up . But the food was still nice as usual. I hope they take my comments on board . Otherwise I won’t be ordering in the future! Sorry but I’m am a little disappointed for the money charged .

not sure on our waiters name, think it started with v but we asked for water - assuming it would be tap water - but was given a £5 bottle without being informed ? other than that food was okay but this ruined my meal as we were trying to budget our night out

This is my family’s local Wagamama which if often visit with my children. The food and service is usually fantastic. The service started very personable from Chabbi, who had asked for a review. But as you can understand coming here a number of times food was missing ingredients, the starters were too well done and the steak in the mains were too overcooked they were not even edible. My partner asked for chillies which did not come until we got up to ask and even then he was finished because it had been 20 mins. Only 3 other tables at the time too. Really disappointed in the food and service and hope they can improve if we do come again.

The service and atmosphere were both top-notch as always - the food came quickly, and we didn't have to wait too long for a table despite it being really busy. I'm giving three stars purely because of food - it was one of the new dishes on the summer menu that I tried, and the pulled duck was just too oily. I'll stick to my ramen next time!

Don’t know what’s happened to this place lately. When I last ate in for lunch there was absolutely no problems. However ordering it home the food is inedible and undercooked and cold, this has happened now 3 times when ordering in the evenings. Iv had undercooked pink chicken and steak that originally I thought was cooked perfect as was pink until I realised the middle was raw cold meat , When Asked for a refund I was told I’d get a full refund and I got 10% back of the total bill. Shame as this place used to be my favourite.

Thoroughly rude staff. I’m a delivery partners and was here tonight to collect 2 orders. Your staff had missed one order and it hadn’t been started. I said I would take the order that was ready (dark haired Eastern European girl) but she closed the window on me. I knocked and another person came (make, Indian, burgundy shirt) ‘what’s your problem’ is how he addressed me. So I explained that I had already said to the girl that I would still take the order that was ready, gave him the order number. The guy took an attitude towards me, told me to F off and slammed the collection window on me. Now then, I’m a service partner in the this, such behaviour shouldn’t come from your staff. But also there is a customer at the end of this journey, that’s paid for food to be delivered in a time frame and relatively unspoiled. You need to sort your team out. I imply no racism by describing the staff members, they were not wearing name tags and you need to know which 2 had the appalling attitudes. So on 03/05/2024 at 19:50 PM This same male member of staff displayed yet more disrespectful behaviour both towards myself and towards the seated customers. I observed him telling customers in a very abrupt manner that they can either wait or simply Leave. I also observed snappy behaviour towards the patiently waiting delivery drivers and finally telling me to forget it as i would not be handed the order that I was waiting for. Seriously looks like he can’t handle pressure and has no regards for Wagamama customers both in-house or those waiting at home.

It was my first time at Wagamama in Basingstoke. Excellent customer service. Variety of food choices for different dietary requirements. The environment was different from usual restaurants. I would go again for another meal.

Dreadful, sat there for nearly 20 mins and were ignored, despite catching the waitress eye who mouthed sorry a couple of times and continued doing nothing.

Feel very rushed to go from the waitress. I am here just less than 30 minutes… and already eating 5 minutes after the meal arrived and now they ask me if I finished?!! Not really happy to be rushed and interrupted… it’s my day off and not so nice to be rush, when I try to chill out… not recommended because of the poor customer service!

Your standard Wagamamas. Much better to eat in then get take out.

The inside was full, so we sat at one of the outside tables instead. The staff saw us, but ignored us. We eventually went in to ask for menus but were told they didn't want to serve outside, even though the temperature was very mild. The most annoying thing is that they were happy to just leave us sitting there, even though they knew they were never going to serve us.

Everything else was pleasant except the spacious.

It's a nice place for popping in at getting something a but differnt. The service was good. Food is nice but for me I need to add chilli to it. It gets busy so pick your time.

We’ve only ever ordered takeaway from this branch since the pandemic and last night was the first time we decided to dine in at the behest of a 4yr old 😁 However, he burst out crying (softly) on hearing there’s a wait so we decided to go elsewhere as he was very hungry. The staff absolutely wasted no time in trying their best to find a table for us. Rest of the evening was spent on some delicious food and impeccable service during such busy peak hours. Special mentions - Steve, Hemant and Crystal, however every staff member was on the best foot forward that day and I haven’t seen tht in a long time! Only reason I knocked off 2 stars for food is that main course portion size isn’t very good value for money!

We were seated so quickly on a busy Saturday night. Food was piping hot and delicious. Vlad was excellent, he made the whole family feel comfortable and welcome. He was professional and understanding all the way through. What a great asset he is to the Wagamamas team in Basingstoke. We'll definately be coming again to that specific site. The service is impeccable, even when it's busy. As a regular customer, the staff are friendly and always try their best to welcome you. The hygiene is good, and the food is delicious. There is a range of meals to select from, all being related to the Japanese origin. I like coming back here to see familiar faces that always have served me well. Special thanks to all the staff, Including Chhabi.

Just spent £50+ through deliveroo and our ramens turned up stodgy and over cooked with the bao buns, empty with the meat sat in the box and only enough filling for one. Been going to the Basingstoke branch since I was a kid. This meal has put me off a little! Worst Wagamama ever, avoid the take away if you want edible food.

The asian woman who was serving my food was very rude. I was asking her "what dish is this?" and she completely ignored me.

Wagamama have been updating their menu and we live it. You must try the Bang Bang c'flower and the prawn nori rolls. I had the beef brisket ramen which was a tour de force. Staff are very welcoming.

The quality of food was not as good as it was before. They used better ingredients and unique flavours earlier.

Greeted on entrance and taken to a table by a super waiter, Chhabi. He recommended agreat meal from the menu when I asked him for a good one … I forget the name of the dish, but very spicy chicken, prawns and rice. I washed this down with a couple of glasses of Malbec … fantastic combination.

Lovely food in this (always) busy restaurant. Good selection of food to choose from, I highly recommend the pork bao buns.

I have used this branch of Wagamama many times and can never fault the place. Always good food, good service and very easy to deal with.

Fabulous place to eat. Went at lunch time during the week (after Easter break) and place was buzzing. Staff super friendly and efficient. Food portions large and tasty and tables and table service clean. Edit: another visit. Still excellent meals and service. New cocktails on menu. Think we preferred the old ones... Like the way they offer wine in different measures. Both the Malbec and Merlot are nice.

Best Wagamama anywhere, food always good, fresh and quick service - i thought this was normal until I tried others, nothing else comes close.

We came here for dinner and sat outside as the weather was nice, there was plenty of seating. We shared the duck bao starter which were tasty, soft and fluffy. My udon noodles came out first and it was a big portion. My husband's beef donburi was tasty too. Service was attentive and we had a really nice meal here. We were too full for dessert! With 2 cokes the meal came to £43

Ordered Prawn Raisukaree and paid for EXTRA prawns via Deliveroo. Literally 5 tiny prawns in the bowl and they aren’t even tasty. Complete scam, would avoid delivery. At least in a restaurant you could send it back although I expect they’d be less likely to scam you in that instance.

Wonderful menu to suit everyone. It is noisy and the meals appear within minutes. You may need to shout to be heard. It is pricy for us, so definitely not for weekly visits, but it is a treat. I think it would help if they turned the music off altogether as you cannot hear it and it just adds more noise to an already noisy place to eat. Beware of the calories and salt levels in your meal, as although seemingly healthy, this may not be the case. Perfect if eating quickly before the cinema as it is very close by. Parking is not free.
