Waited 20 minutes for someone to take our order. No one came so we left. During this time I observed people's food left on side waiting to be taken to tables going cold. Worst wagamama experience ever . Probably would have had better service through deliveroo as they clearly prioritised those orders over the people who were in the restaurant.

Went here yesterday for a valentines meal, me and my partner both ordered chicken katsu curry and on both of our plates one side of the chicken was raw to the point i had to spit it out as soon as i bit into it. Not only this but we had asked for salt as there was none set up on the table and watched our server walk around for about 5 minutes as we were waiting to be handed the salt so we could start our meal. It’s as if she had completely forgotten what we asked so we asked again and finally could start eating our meal. We spoke to the woman who was serving us about the raw chicken and she walked off like she was going to see what she could do it about it and never came back. I had to pay full price for raw chicken and left completely disappointed and absolutely appalled. Will not be coming back any time soon.

One of the servers was really rude when I politely asked a question about how long it would be, as we were waiting over 30mins for our order. The manager came over and she didn't really offer any explanation, just that she would speak to the kitchen, then she disappeared and never returned.

Wagamama Southampton UK Visited this branch on a business trip. I knew that it never let me down as I was new to the local and fancy Asian food. Ordered the usual dishes. Absolutely Disgraceful Service I am appalled by the service I’ve received from Wagamama’s over the past two months. They charged me FIVE EXTRA TIMES the cost of my meal, and getting that money back has been an absolute nightmare. Despite it being their mistake, I had to chase them repeatedly to get refunds, only for them to pay me back an incorrect amount. I’m still missing one of the overcharges, which I’ve had to fight tooth and nail to recover. To make matters worse, when I spoke to the manager, Jess, on the phone, she was unbelievably rude. She laughed at my enquiry, belittled my concerns, and arrogantly insisted I was wrong—even though I had proof and was clearly correct. Her condescending and dismissive attitude was unprofessional and insulting. It’s shocking that someone with such a lack of basic customer service skills is managing a branch. After finally admitting their mistake, they sent me an email promising to pay the remaining amount back on the 27th of November. It’s now January, and I’m still waiting. I’ve sent multiple emails, repeatedly explained how urgent this is as a university student, and received no help or urgency from their branch. This entire experience has been exhausting, frustrating, and deeply disappointing. Wagamama’s has shown a complete lack of accountability, respect, and customer care. I will not be returning, and I strongly recommend others avoid this chain unless they want to be treated like an afterthought.

Had a great experience today served by the lovely Maenanda! I’m super fussy with food and she was so helpful with helping me figure out what I could eat. She was very understanding and didn’t make me feel awkward or uncomfortable which a lot of servers do, so I instantly felt less anxious and made my dining experience instantly better! On Monday I've tried for the first time Wagamama and I wasn't very impressed with the food. I've had a GF chicken ramen that was very bland (I can understand that some GF foods does not taste as good as the real deal, but this one was really lacking taste) and I also had a iced strawberry matcha with oat milk, that was overly sweet from the strawberry syrup and apart from that it really taste like matcha, It was just a really milky drink. The service was great and the food came out pretty quick. I don't think I will go back

So, a friend of mine had been telling me of this place for ages. She spoke very highly of it, as a matter of fact. I’ve always wanted to go here, and very recently, I was able to do just that. I was able to try out these dishes, which I made a point to take photos of. For the price, I’d say this is more than worth it. They certainly didn’t disappoint. I will be making a point to come back.

What an amazing credit to the team Kitty is! I have allergies and came here to eat for my birthday meal and she helped me very diligently to select foods from the allergy menu that were safe for me, she then ensured that these were allergy checked before. It made me feel very safe! The food was amazing, but I really cannot say how fantastic Kitty was in helping me with all of my needs, she also had some fabulous recommendations for the rest of the table.

Excellent food after an exciting morning walking around and exploring Southhampton! Had a sumptuous lunch of Firecracker Chicken and Stir-Fried Greens (mostly Bok Choy and Broccoli). Washed down with 2 cans of Spite :-). The Firecracker sauce is my favorite and when they heard this, they sent 2 extra helpings of the spicy tangy sauce for me to savor and enjoy! Loyal customer of Wagamama, all over the UK :-)

Never tried Wagamama before. They did not disappoint. The food and atmosphere was spot on. Could not fault it. Friendly staff very helpful and clean. Toilets were short walk away but were also clean. When in Southampton go visit the West Quay shopping centre. Designer shops, food stores etc. Wonderful experience.

Ate there today for lunch. No wait to be seated. Lots of things not available on menu. Ages to be asked for our order £5.00 for still water. Unbelievable. The bottle wasn't even sealed and was probably just refilled from the tap. Scam. The server who bought the water was a male with longish hair. It was so greasy we should have made run for it then. Both ordered the teriyaki beef soba noodles Well they both came out almost stone cold. Strange pinkness to some noodles. Not the same as we have had it at other wagamamas. Lots of spring onion and bean shoots and basically was not enjoyed at all. 41.00 for that rubbish!!! Servers need to clean up and look smart. The kitchen sending that rubbish out should be ashamed. Go to wagamamas a lot but this one was by far the worst. Awful! To make it worse it upset my stomach badly. I don't need to go into details there.

— when we came in the restaurant was empty We were the first customers Sitted immediately by Claudia. Ordered everything together but the buns and ebi katsu arrived before drinks. No one rush the bar person to make sure drinks arrive before food. Although kitchen had no other orders chicken katsu looked like on a picture. Salad dressing on top of salad. Service hasn’t made check back. Didn’t offer any extra drinks. Person from foh member came at the end asking if all ok and had hands in trousers pockets while talking to us!!! Because no one check if all ok and we don’t want anything else. We had to look for eye contact with foh member to ask for a bill. I visuted several Wagsmama restaurants around the UK- southampton has the wirst service If I will live in Southampton and want to eat wagamama definitely I will drive few miles and eat in Whiteley

The service that my girlfriend and I received (or llack thereof) really let down our experience. We are usually big fans of wagamama even though it is very basic Japanese food that you could make yourself for super cheap but I understand most people don't have the confidence to cook Asian dishes as they often look difficult but believe me they are not. Wagamama's pricing could really do with an update. Usually when you spend extra money like you would with a company like wagamama you could consider that you will be served upon in a better way than most fast food places but our experience told us otherwise. It took about 25 minutes just to bring us the bill from when we asked for even though we were sat at the table for at least 15 minutes beforehand with empty plates. I asked the member of staff that took my payment if they have any way of leaving feedback and she just looked at me with a face that seemed perplexed as to why I would want to leave any feedback at all. I would usually rather voice my displeasure to a member of management instead of resorting to leaving a review on the internet as I do believe everyone deserves a chance to give a reason as to why the service wasn't up to scratch before I publicly write a review on the internet. The issues that we faced seemed to be stemming from problems that were occurring in the kitchen so it would not be fair for me to blame everything upon the servers if they were required to work with errors coming out of the kitchen as I noticed the table next to me had to ask for a refund due to two of their dishes being stone cold and another dish containing viewable hairs. I did think that I would attempt to try and speak to a member of management or at least someone more senior than the servers at the front of house but felt like I really didn't want to bother the person who had dealt with the refund of the table next to as as in my opinion the way they dealt with the tables issues was completely unprofessional and that made me feel like I would just be told that all the issues were a problem coming from the kitchen and it was something that they couldn't fix. The last thing I feel like I should recommend is potentially finding a way to block the view between customers waiting in line and customers who are sat down and eating as when it seems to get even a bit busy a line forms and you feel like you are being watched make an animal at the zoo getting your feed. Overall for a restaurant that is one of the cornerstones of the West Quay Dining Floor a lot of improvements that could be made even in the basics. Food 5/10 Service 3/10

Oh dear… not a great experience at all! I have been hesitant to write this review as it has now been a few months since this abysmal experience but I feel compelled to share the utter disappointment that was our visit to Wagamama on this day. My partner and I visited with his Mum on a Saturday lunchtime in December and honestly, from start to finish, our experience was terrible. Ironically, this had nothing to do with the food - which was fine - but the service and attitude of the staff. We were perfectly happy to wait in line for a table and understood that food would arrive at different times so I cannot say that this was an issue. However, we were treated very poorly by one of your staff members who can only be described as sarcastic, condescending and hugely unfriendly. The lad can’t have been more than 18-19 years old (if that) and made comments about not only are butchered pronunciation of dishes (we tried!) but also told my mother in law to cheer up, smile and have a sense of humour (for the record, she was in a great mood and he obviously needed to take his own advice here). We had done nothing but be polite and understanding as always but it appeared this one staff member had it out for us for no reason and made the whole experience rather unpleasant. Like I said the food was fine but the general visit was tainted negatively by this one young lad. Will probably return but just hope we don’t get treated the same next time.

Normally really love Wagamama- especially delivery. Unfortunately, this time a whole dish was left out of the order and the best that could be done was a refund, which meant I had to do a whole new order and wait another hour to get my food. Since ordering they had sold out of the “forgotten” dish so I suspect they ran out and decided to leave it out of my order instead of calling to remedy the issue and offer a replacement. Really disappointed that this happened.

Me and a friend order from this place the mains which were a katsu curry and pork belly ramen were awful. No flavour to the curry and soggy; slimy rice. The ramen was no better. The sides we had were boa buns and butterfly prawns were standard. Could compare them to shop bought that have been friend. Definitely isn’t worth the price and I won’t be going here again

So this is my first ever experience of eating in a Wagamama. Now maybe my expectations were high, but I seriously don’t get the hype 🤔 This particular restaurant is in a very busy shopping centre. Staff were very pleasant enough & promptly seated us at a table with several other people!!! I personally find the sharing a table experience a bit “odd” it’s not as if you are just grabbing a coffee & snack. At the prices charged by Wagamama I would expect a table just for the people I’m dining with. Food on the whole was ok, but felt overpriced for what we experienced. I understand food is cooked fresh, but surely an order can be dealt with at once, rather than food being served as & when it’s ready. I’m confused as to is Wagamama a restaurant or a fast food experience, for me it felt fast food at restaurant prices. They even expect you to pay by QR code 🤔

Visit with three friends before football. We queued for 20 minutes to get a table because they were clearly understaffed. The poor service continued with both wait times and a member of staff who was actually quite rude. Some food turned up before the drinks and although we were warned about the sporadic delivery of food, my starter and main were delivered together, after one of my fellow diners had received and eaten both of his courses. So not to be overly critical the food was good - the issues were all down to staff shortages I assume.

Lovely casual dining with fresh food. Only criticism is I ordered the chicken gyoza ramen and received pork ones which were very apple tasting instead. Service was nice and seamless and food was quick to come to the table!

Really nice blonde manager with an accent, I think her name was Nicole, and daisy who served us. Food was delicious and she gave us some extra! The manager heard my friend had a bad throat so she also supplied him with some herbal tea that she said would help - this was such a nice gesture for her to notice and action! Definitely will be coming back to this restaurant because the service was great!

Nothing like the experience I am used to with this chain. They gave us the wrong dishes as the staff were confused about the orders. Quality was poor. They had run out of a side dish order but never told us. This side dish (kimchi) was also present in two main dishes. When I asked them about this they were not forthcoming. When I asked how could you serve a main dish if you were missing a main ingredient they asked if we would like a substitute!! If the kitchen runs out of ingredients then surely you would advice customers that this dish is not available rather than serve something with it missing. This restaurant needs a firm shake up as it has let the brand down. For the money we spent it was a disappointment

Food was lovely , and staff is so good except A guy on a white T-shirt with glasses and shorts I think he's a manager or area manager , he's really rude and arrogant towards customers and staff too I could see how rude and grumpy he was towards staff as well. As staff is really good who works there except this person in white T-shirt , He needs to be bit kinder towards his staff and customers because Wagamama is losing out on customers. This kind of people should be put on disciplinary notice or be removed ASAP. I won't be coming again up here in Wagamama in Southampton.

Another brilliant experience at Wagamamas..I was catching up with a friend that I hadn't seen in 6 months..Noah was our server he had the patience of a Saint.Everytime he would come over to try and take our order we hadn't even looked at the menu as we were talking to much...He is a credit to Wagamamas he was brilliant you couldn't fault him so excellent customer service...and the food was excellent as well.

Excellent personal service by Toma who helped us chose a meal and adapted it to make lower in carbohydrates as my husband diabetic he added more bean spouts and less noddles . And excellent low carbohydrate tasty meal . Thank you Toma and Wagamama .
