Beware if you Grandchildren are tall for there age as you will pay full price that a rip off and food was cold all I got from staff when I told them was oh I'm sorry and nothing was done very disappointing

This is the BEST buffet EVER!!! There is a chocolate fountain, unlimited drinks, unlimited food and more!!! It may be expensive but it is worth it!!! 🥳🤩🥳🤯 there is even people taking away your plates when you finish your plate and need a new plate so there are no dirty plates!!! 🤯🤩🥳😎

Awful - £88 for 4 people for lunch and after just 1 hour they try to kick you out. Baffled by some of the positive reviews. Never again.

Food tremendous. Receptionist excellent. It was an engagement party of 15 and staff hovered over table. We felt rushed and were told our time was nearly up. This was a big disappointment.

Went there for my daughters birthday staff at the front desk extremely rude then the woman who was dealing with service to show you to your table even ruder

Nice food, reasonably priced buffet. Great selection of food for literally everyone. My son's favourite place. Book your place to avoid long waiting.

There's a huge selection of food and most of it is really tasty, there were a few bits that weren't great (e.g. dry chicken) but you're going to get that with personal preference and large scale buffets. The meal was good value, especially the cost of drinks with free refills on soft drinks. Only thing that let it down for me was the atmosphere, because it's so popular it's very busy and a very chaotic in there. Some foods weren't topped up regularly or at all after they'd gone, so if you didn't beat the crowds to the popular dishes then you were out of luck.

This place is ok. Alcohol drinks can be expensive. The food is ok depends what time of day you get here I guess. Some dishes are bland but overall ok. For the price £22 per head isn’t bad but I would t be a regular customer

I been here a few times, many choices and selection of food to try, service is good as plates gets taken away quickly , food gets replaced quick once it runs out which is good not too long to wait, What I find a bit confusing is knowing what each dish is would help if you can see the type of food that's available when going around by maybe adding signs to which is what then having to go around looking for what you want to eat as it can get very busy there and many people are on the way which can get a little fostering specially when you have children attending as it can be also over crowding. Staff ready to help and fast at what they do , Food does taste lovely and flavours are good. Price for children is a little over priced as they wouldn't go much around but overall very good experience for kids to try different flavour and fun for them to grap their dessert that they want as you also have a wide selection, even doe ice cream can taste abit less flavour and more of ice that needs to be changed. Will be back for more .

First time at Cosmo, and I will definitely return again! So much choice and the way the place is set out with the cooks being behind the counters where food is served they won't be getting in your way and they can see quite quickly if something needs topping up or replacing. We visited at lunchtime on Saturday booked for 12:30, I thought we wouldn't have to book, but yes, we did! I recommend booking whenever you want (unsure about weekday lunch) Where else can you enjoy a lovely Gammon Roast with lovely pieces of sushi, ribs, and a slice of pizza all on one plate! Will be returning, and we live around 40 minutes away.

We had a fantastic experience at COSMO Buffet in Southampton, and I can't recommend it highly enough. It was my first visit and I was celebrating my birthday with family. The variety of foods available was outstanding, offering a journey around the world, all of which were very hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious. The service from the staff was exemplary, they were attentive in removing plates swiftly and ensured that our drinks were served quickly, allowing us to focus on enjoying our meal without any interruptions. The presentation of the buffet area and the chefs deserve a special mention - it was well organised and immaculately clean, making the dining experience even better. The desserts area was a highlight for us, featuring loads of sweet treats that were a delight to indulge in, including ice cream cones and cakes. However, the chocolate fountain was a fantastic surprise for us and brought lots of smiles around the table. The payment process was seamless, quick, and easy, rounding off the evening perfectly. I would recommend COSMO to anyone without hesitation and will certainly be raving about our experience to all my friends. If you're looking for a dining experience with great food, wonderful service, and a welcoming atmosphere, look no further.

There is next to nothing available for plant based / vegan people. They mainly cater for the meat eater. There are a few veggie options but not many. Not great for allergen cross contamination at all. Very slow to restock a lot of the food containers. The service of the staff was quick and efficient. It was clean and tidy. Probably wouldn't bother going again. For the price per person you can get a better takeaway and have left overs.

Great place, just not my favorite for selection and quality. But for the price Amazing. They have amazing beef, chicken etc but the sushi section might as well be replaced with another delicacy that's done right.

Food here has gone down and is not hot, We celebrated our daughters birthday here on Sunday, the food was Luke warm and not hot, environmental health risk.We used to come here every year if not more but will not come again

I enjoy this as it has lots of variety but so congested and can get unsafe especially with youngsters. There was water leaking from the drinks station and no one was taking care. Kids were running about adult less which wasn't ideal.

Good, but some food was not available at times, especially when it got to 8.30pm.

I wasn't quite what to expect, my sons being desperate to go i acquiesced. My expectations were low and Cosmos did not disappoint. Low quality, in the main tasteless, slop. If you are vegetarian, let alone vegan, you will go hungry (unless you like chips and cheese and tomato pizza). The service from the staff matched the quality of the food.....Avoid.

Absolutely awful welcome in by the lady on reception. Mask on (I understand this) but no hello or any pleasantries at all like have you been here before, or used a Cosmo before, as the process was very confusing to understand for a newcomer. She was hard to hear what she was saying due to the very loud background noise and her mask. Had to ask her to repeat herself. We were given a buzzer due to being advised it was a half hour wait. She then barley gestured towards the bar area. We had to figure this out as she didn't seem at all bothered. We ordered a few drinks while we waited, was charged a discretionary gratuity without being asked if this was OK, or even mentioned anywhere. Then was not advised if the drinks would be brought by a waitress or wait for them, then ushered over to the bar pointing at a tray. Poor service here! While waiting, my wife visited the toilets and found 1 cubical had no toilet paper and the floor was filthy throughout. She mentioned it to the waiting staff about the toilet paper and they went straight to it. When our buzzer went off, Which was not more than 10 minutes the matre 'd came to seat us. We were still not advised as to the process of what needed to happen. The food was mainly covered and set back from the walkway, so was not breathed over and individual tongs and spoons per dish. Everything was hot and fresh tasting. However, the freshly cooked items for fish and steak was appalling due to the grill being so very dirty, it all tasted like dirty grill and oil. Watching him cook it, he didn't clean the grill and was very unbothered by what he was doing. The flavouring (salt and Pepper) was missing due to the overwhelming taste of grill. My wife had pudding, which had a good selection and a heavenly chocolate fountain. This looked amazing. The waiter that was tasked with bring drinks to the table was clueless, he walked around with peoples drinks lost. He then found the tables and put the drinks right where a plate would go. This happened on multiple tables. The empty plates were cleared quick and the staff themselves were working hard and didn't really stop. We were asked how the meal was, which is lovely in any setting. The same receptionist form the way in, got our attention as we left to check our receipt. The half hearted sign said they check to make sure we had been billed the correct amount, however they had nothing to do with our meal so would know. This was purely a way to check we had paid. This was not a nice way to finish our evening. Again no goodbye/hope you had a lovely evening, Nothing. Overall it was a lovely experience, but not sure i would come back to this restaurant in this franchise due to the front of house/receptionist.

5 of us Dined on Sunday We all have ended up with food poisoning and been very poorly Poor quality of food People with now manners just double dipping in different food with same serving spoons very messy Lady behind the till was very very rude 1 adult and 4 children was charged for 5 adults very frustrating all children under age of 12 If you want dodgy stomach this is the place to done over wise avoid

Average buffet, mediocre food. The staff are friendly but do minimal work, they welcome you in, take your order, and then dissappear as you help yourself to food. Price is good for what you get although some dishes are poorly cooked. The Chinese and Indian section is immense however.

My husband n myself went to this Cosmo buffet in Southampton this evening 29.1.2024. Found tat the buffet has gone downhill.plates were cold, food cold n choices of food has gone downhill. No Thai food , Indian food lack of choice .chinese dim sum lack Of choice too. Overall not good at all . I should think for the amount of money for each person should served a lot better food .i rate it as zero .

First time here.. was great they were super busy but fit us in as we didnt book prior. Defo one of the better buffet places and unlimited drinks option

Lovely food but terrible customer service. Had a party of 19 for my son's 18th birthday and we was pressured to leave within an hour and 15 minutes of being there despite one of my guests who was caught in traffic turning up 15 minutes prior. As we were leaving our table, staff were clearing the table before we even got our coats on which I and few other of my guest found very rude. The whole evening overall as the host was quite an embarrassing situation to be put into. Also, the booking process was terrible. I originally wanted 6pm but was offered 5pm which was more earlier then anticipated so I asked if there was anything else after 6pm. I was told abruptly that there were larger parties then my party throughout the night and if I didn't want the booking to get back to them by 9pm to let them know. So I went around all my guests to make sure this time was ok for them, the last one got back to me around 8pm, so I went to email back around 8.30 to confirm that I did want that time only to find my whole booking had been cancelled. When I asked why my booking had been cancelled, I had a rather patronising email back explaining that I never got back to them so they assumed I didn't want the booking despite telling me I had until 9pm. I will 100% not be bringing another party to this restaurant again after this experience, let alone return as a family.

Went there as part of a party 13 was lovely but after just an hour we was almost constantly pesterd by a member of staff about then we was going to leave so all of us felt we had to eat fast and ruined the evening

Everything you would expect from an all you can eat buffet. Massive selection of dishes from all over the world. Attentive helpful staff and a really upbeat welcoming atmosphere

Came here just before Christmas with a few friends. I arrived a bit earlier than the others, and the staff were very accommodating. Instead of being told to sit near the reception area, I was invited to go to the bar for a drink. The at table service of drinks was fantastic. An empty plate will not sit on your table for long, the staff are very quick to keep the place tidy. The choice of food is amazing and the place has a great vibe and brilliant staff. Was it worth the money? Yes.

very mediocre food, the only thing that saves this place is the ice cream and the dessert section, it's £20pp for the most average food you'll ever have - i come here since it's a popular place for people's birthdays and every time i come out disappointed, would not reccomend, the only good thing about it is it looks nice on the inside

My husband and I actually eat here on a regular basis now. It's always been evening buffet we go for as it's so cheep and the food is great with a mental amount of food from every continent you can think of... So great when you can't decide what to cook or can't be bothered and as it casual you can go as a spare of the moment or book it's so flexible. I have also saw a lot of birthday bookings and they can accommodate the biggest of party's and it's there that I watched the staff put together the longest table iv ever saw in a restaurant it was huge and the staff always enjoy singing HAPPY BIRTHDAY to there guests there is such a good happy and relaxed atmosphere here. But hey don't take my word for it, Go on get yourselves round there you can simply walk in no booking required and enjoy eating your way around the world x

Kids love it here they really need to bring the sui mai back and the real squid for teppenyaki instead of the rings other then that the staff are always really accommodating

A good all you can eat buffet. We had a great experience. They have quite a good spread, especially asian dishes. Bottomless soft drinks are available for 3£ where we are offered a glass and we are free to fill up whatever soft drinks. Their desserts were also very tasty. It's not worth if you're a vegetarian though.

Great time out with partners and friends. Great food, but every time I've been, they never have crispy duck. The portions are tiny too, which means youre constantly going up to get more, would be easier and a better experience to load up once and enjoy, but overall a fantastic establishment and a great time was had

the food is not worth £20 per person except for the ice cream and jelly to be honest. sushi was dry and a lot of the other foods were simply not that yummy.

The lunch time buffet was very good. There needs to be more seafood options though. Some of the starters were greasy. Overall good value for money. Had the dinner buffet the choice was more but still lacked some key items. The starters were good but not extensive. The mains will need to be improved as some were good and some mot so much. The desserts were actually nice but no pandan cake anymore.

2 students and one birthday girl on one table meant because the meal for the birthday girl was free no student discounts could be given. Food was fine.

My wife took me here for my birthday with our family following a day out in Southampton. Fantastic building and a great selection of foods to fill you up. Was a little disappointed with the "catch" when it came to a free meal for your birthday, where it was only for the weekdays and not the weekend, but enjoyed it all the same.

Been there a few times, almost the same food every time or even less choice, prices up but quality and selection of food has dropped down considerably. They even charge a minimum for a 1 year old.

So incredibly mediocre its insane how they charge you essentially 30 pounds for food and drinks. Sure its a buffet and sure the service is quite good, but man 30 pounds for unlimited mediocre food that isn't even always sanitary is insane. I've gotten food poisoning twice now and I've only been there 5 times. If you're going for the experience or just to hang out with friends, fine. But if you're going there to actually enjoy your meals, you're better off spending your hard earned money elsewhere. As for an idea of how the food tastes: -Meat is usually hard if not D R Y - Vegetables are all cold and never seem to get replenished - Everything is SUPER SALTY and OILY - Nothing tastes authentic - All the dumplings, meatballs, anything that can be bought packaged WILL BE PACKAGED (frozen and bland) - Soft serve machine is not bad though

The manager here is awesome .. I can quite remember her name Liana or so she is good at her job 👌👌 she made my sister birthday party good 🙏🙏 Great time in Cosmo love it will definitely come back

Loved the food.we were given a cold reception when we walked in as we needed to fit the pram next to the table,but we're found a table right next to the food,so that was brilliant and to be fair we hadn't booked ,so were very lucky to get a table much quicker than expected The table was cleared very promptly and efficiently between courses. We were informed at one point that we had 10 mins before we had to vacate our table,which was a shock as we were having a leisurely meal....but we did have enough time to grab some dessert before leaving Will definitely book next time,watch how long we have to eat our meal and will go back

The food is good and the atmosphere. The only problem at this place are the Cashier, Specially Jeff. They "steal" when you pay!! I asked JEFF, polite, to take off the service charge (which they add on your bill without asking) and he was saying, I quote " the service charge is for the boys and girls!!", which is my choice if I want to give this "tips" or not, not to "force" me to pay. Anyway, he was visual not happy that I asked him to not add this service charge on my bill!! Before I paid, I showed my BLUE LIGHT CARD (which is 10% off from the full meal) and I paid. Before I left the place, I checked my bill and I noticed that, according to Cashier JEFF, 10% from 59.97 is TWO pounds!!! 🥴😵 I asked one of his colleagues about this and she was pretending that she doesn't know!!! I felt like they're STEALING money!!! Sad to do this kind of thing and to have this kind of employee for a restaurant like COSMO!! I never use to check my bill and how much they charge!!! I hope this JEFF will "enjoy" spending the money that he STEALS from customers!! My advice, CHECK YOUR BILL BEFORE YOU PAY!! Really disappointed!!!

tables were very close together I guess I'm just a cosy pub fan , food was great as was the service, cost for 2 was £49.50 you have to eat quite lot to get your moneys worth, its right in the middle of Southampton so the traffic was horrendous even at 4.30pm!

Plenty of options with different cuisines. Definitely worth visiting for the price. We liked the fresh seafood counter, specially the prawns. Many options in dessert as well. Looked like the restaurant is always busy, so better to reserve the table before hand. We did book our table online on the day of visit and got immediate confirmation.

Overall poor experience. Most of the food was cold. Also wasn't being replenished that often when empty.

Came here with two different groups of people - lovely atmosphere with food for everyone to enjoy. I’m impartial to a lovely plate of Mash then moving to Italian. The tables are kept very well clean, service moves fast (when paying) and if there’s a shortage of food at the buffet, it’s immediately replaced. Would always recommend this place.

Had an amazing time at Cosmo I had my twins 22nd and my sons 18th two days apart Zen the manager let my twins eat for free which was very good of him also Winni Was amazing as well as she arranged their own cake to be brought to our table and sang happy birthday to the kids which we all did nice touch 👏👏and Mark and another chap serving us they were the ones you brought the cake were brilliant as well the food was amazing stuffed myself a bit much Could not move the choice of food quality taste amazing definitely recommend can’t wait to go back thanks again for a great evening

Used to come here a lot. Food used to be great. It's really gone down hill. The food quality has dipped significantly while the price has increased significantly. Most of the food was overcooked and dry or chewy. They also add a service charge, which is not listed anywhere, despite the fact it's a self serve buffet.

We had a great meal. Wide range of food that is always being topped up. Was very busy but still lots of food available. Easy to get to, prices are not to bad. Left very happy and full what more can you ask for.

Food is ok some of the food was dry under the light , atmosphere is great value for money for unlimited food to get the variety.

Wonderful buffet with lots of choice from curry to a roast. I enjoyed a fresh prawn and squid starter freshly cooked. I then had a plate of the various foods on offer. The deserts especially the icecream were a little soft. The staff were great I was given a table close to the buffet, i use a walking stick, so I did not have to dodge around people and tables. Every time i went to get another plate of food my table was cleared. Great place to go will be going again next time i go where a Cosmo is.

Awful awful food and far too expensive

I've been told to walk in without reservation but no-one said anything about the one hour waiting time in the bar area. Receptionists, waiters and waitresses are rude and ignorant. I invited my friends to celebrate my birthday here with me. Some of them drove more than 2 hours to get here. One of my friends is pregnant and they made her wait and stand for more than an hour. This place is a real bummer they ruined our mood and our evening. Worst birthday ever thanks to them. Do not come here unless you want to waste your time and money.

Very rude unorganized staff. On the phone they said reservation no needed just show up. When arrived to get asked for reservation and said we have to wait an hour to get a table.

Went out for lunch Was quite busy on a Sunday Food is always amazing, and had the Mocktail drinks that were quite refreshing. The sushi bar is amazing There were not many choices of fruits, but the desserts section made up for it 😊 Prices have gone up a bit, but we always enjoy Definitely recommend 👌
